A/N: Okay guys, so this is an Intermission chapter between Seasons 1 and 2. Simply put, it will have some preview scenes from Season 2, as well as me clarifying some things as well as some fun facts that I could find a good place to fit into one of the chapters. There will be some spoilers ahead, so beware, I will mark the relevant sections with bold words and underlined words.

With that out of the way, let's get into it...

Previews (In no particular order)

"Ashido, can I ask you a question?" Todoroki asked with a small head tilt, the pink-haired heroine blinking in confusion. They were friends, sure, but she didn't expect the boy to track her down alone like this.

"Uhmm, sure?" She replied warily, Todoroki's tone catching her off-guard.

"What is a snack?"

"... excuse me?" Mina blinked owlishly, trying and failing to figure out if the bicolored boy was playing a prank on her.

"A waitress near my house called me a snack, but I didn't know what it meant, so wondered if you could tell me?" Shoto asked sincerely.

"... and what makes you think I'd know..." Mina asked warily once more, the implications not sitting right with her.

"Well, really you're not the first person I asked. I asked Tokoyami and Asui first, but Asui just stared at me, and Tokoyami said it was like apples or sunflower seeds." Todoroki explained, Mina suppressing her giggle at the two straight-faced students trying to figure out the metaphor.

"Yaoyorozu and Iida both agreed, although they both said that granola and fruits are much healthier snacks. I asked my sister, Fuyumi, but she just laughed at me, saying her boyfriend was a snack according to Usagi, whoever that is, and Natsuo, my brother..." Todoroki trailed off, looking at the blank wall nearby.

"It's a compliment, Todoroki. It means she thought you were hot, which you are." Mina teased, hoping to get a reaction out of the kuudere, but he just looked confused.

"She thought I looked hot, but I can use my ice to cool off, my temperature is well-regulated." The Half-and-Half teen explained as Mina chuckled at his comically missing the point.

Trying again, she used simpler terms, "She was paying you a compliment. Girls say that when they see a boy they think is attractive." Mina explained as Todoroki gave a slight smile.

"I understand, thank you Ashido, you were much were helpful than Natsuo." The teen proclaimed.

"Why, what did he say?" Mina asked, walking back towards their class.

"He just kept saying it was thotspeak for she was DTF, which I didn't understand at all." The split-hair boy whined as Mina giggled at his expression.

"No, I'm not going to explain what either a thot is or what DTF means, but maybe if you play your cards right..." Mina left the suggestion hanging.

"My cards, but I don't have any playing cards, is this that Magic game Sero and Kaminari keep talking about?" Shoto inquired.

"That went much worse than expected, although I suppose he left without further injuring us." Kurogiri exclaimed as I sighed, rubbing my head.

"I could've told you it wasn't going to work out. While our methods and beliefs are in perfect lockstep, the founding belief of our convictions are diametrically opposed. He holds every hero to the impossible standard of All Might, while I loathe and despise The Symbol of Peace! Besides, we're both too set in our ways to work together. Until one of us is willing to give up on our mission, we'll always be opposed to each other." I explained, sipping thoughtfully on my Kahlua, gagging at the taste.

"Something the matter, Young Midoriya?" All Might asked as he saw the shaky grin Izuku had.

"Oh, nothing All Might, I was just thinking you have a type. Both me and Sir Nighteye have green hair, were huge fans of yours, and we have precognitive Quirks... just thinking of the irony." Izuku teased as the blonde hero blushed.

"Stop dodging and fight me, Deku!" Bakugo yelled, an explosion ripping up some of the ground as Izuku dove to the side.

'Sorry about this Kacchan, but right now I can't be the same Deku, and I need you to stop being the same Kacchan.' Midoriya thought, smirking as he put up his fists. "You sure you want that, Kacchan, last time I hit you, you got knocked out after one punch." Izuku taunted.

"The hell? You think you're some big-time hero with that Quirk of yours? Hiding it all this time, laughing behind my back! I wipe that smug grin right off your fucking face!" Katsuki roared, twin explosion sending him hurtling at Izuku, who ducked just in time, but Bakugo let off another explosion, killing his momentum and twisting in midair as his bott collided with Midoriya's back, sending the boy bouncing across the ground.

He was ready though, letting his body roll as he planted both feet, launching himself back at Kacchan, who had pursued, intent on murdering the little puke stain of a hero. He got a 5% SMASH to the face for his troubles, knocking him away, but he managed to get a palm between them in time, a smaller explosion singing Izuku's face as he stumbled backwards, catching himself on his feet.

'That's it Kacchan, let out all that rage you've got, all that pride. I'll take everything you've got, and then... maybe we can start to move forwards.'

"Come on Kacchan! We have to work together, or there's no way we can beat All Might!" Izuku tried to talk sense into his friend and temporary partner.

What he didn't expect was Bakugo to grab him by the collar, pinning him against a wall. "Shut the hell up Deku! Nobody tells me I can't win, not even myself!"

"Huh?" Was Midoriya's succinct response.

"Heroes don't have the time to worry about if we can or can't win a fight, listening to that voice in the back of your mind telling you to run away, that you're going to die... we have to fight, because if you don't even believe in yourself, then how can anybody else believe you can defeat a villain and save them!" Katsuki yelled, turning away as he stomped towards the distant maniacal laughter.

"Kacchan, what happened to you?" Izuku mumbled, chasing once more after him.

"The first match of the finals of the U.A. First-Year Tournament is between the cold-blood, ice in his veins hero student of Class 1-A, who got in through recommendations, Shoto Todoroki!" Present Mic yelled, careful not to destroy everyone's eardrums with the combination of his Quirk and the speaker system.

"And his opponent, also from Class 1-A, and the class vice-representative, he's managed to make it this far without using his Quirk, but this could be his big debut album, it's Hitoshi Shinso!" Mic introduced Todoroki's opponent as they quietly stared at each other, waiting for Ms. Midnight's signal.

"Let the first match... BEGIN!"

"So, what's this rumor I'm hearing about you dating Hawks?" I calmly asked over the phone, Mirko chuckling nervously.

All around me was crying, wailing, the horrifying sounds of bones snapping and flesh rending as an honest-to-God monster ripped apart my office, a blood-curdling howl sending ice through my veins.

"Six heroes were killed, and other three were crippled beyond recovery, but..." All Might paused, shamefully looking to the floor as Izuku sat up straighter.

"Did he survive?! Did Iida's brother survive?!" Midoriya shouted, wincing as it pulled at his wounds.

"I AM ATROCITY!" A bellowing shouted echoed through the mall as Izuku jumped his feet, looking around.

What he expected to see wasn't there, that is to say, in the space of a blink, Tomura had vanished, reappearing across a courtyard, arm wrapped around a child with a look that scared Midoriya more than either Stain's declaration to the world or All Might's villainous aura.

Previews End

Okay, now some fun facts:

Tomura's 'mask', the thumb and pinky reach around to cover his ears. There are tiny receivers in the thumb so he could hear his teammate's when they are more spread out. The wrist section is actually a rebreather to filter out dust and harmful gases like Midnight's Quirk or Mustard's Quirk. He usually uses it on his face but can also push it up to the top of his head, keeping his long bangs out of his eyes, as well as the macabre image of a hand giving him head pats, it's also Nana's hand.

He also normally wears a cloak over his clothes, keeping the hood in place with the hand, as well as two hands on his shoulders, facing backwards like supportive hands similar to epaulets; these are one of his mother's and one of his sister's.

He has more hands sown into the elbows and knees of his clothes, functioning as elbow and knee guards. These are his grandparents' hands.

He doesn't have the hands around his neck like canon, and as to where his father's hands are, that will be revealed much later in the story.

I also mentioned earlier on that I made some minor changes to some Quirks. I altered both Tomura's and Himiko's at least from my understanding of them in canon.

Tomura's works like corruption or rot, spreading from the point of contact, it begins to destroy the matter it come in contact with. Once he let's go, the Quirk stops spreading, however, if it spreads through enough of the mass, it will continue spreading on its own. This is dependent on the total mass of the object, so when he was younger, he had to be careful not to fall asleep with his palms on the ground, because if he maintained contact for too long, his Quirk would eventually destroy the planet.

Himiko's Quirk works like canon, except when she becomes someone with a Mutant/ Heteromorphic-type Quirk, she can use the Quirk. In other words, if she turned into Ojiro, she could use his tail, turn into Tsuyu, she could climb on walls, extend her tongue, and spit up her stomach. The difference is the Quirk is weaker because she doesn't naturally know how to use it. Using Ojiro's tail is much easier than using muscles she never had, like Tsuyu's stomach. The fun of this is I learned that Iida's and Shoji's are both listed as Mutant, so Himiko could theoretically use their Quirks. So, I had to make some more alterations to my changes, like she would need orange juice in her body to fuel Iida's Quirk, and Shoji's can only change the original six, and can't grow more, so we'll see what other Quirks I have to work with as we go.

Also, how her Quirk manifests the clothes her target is wearing isn't explained, so for this version, she envisions her targets' clothes when she changes. So, if she changed into Uraraka, she could appear in her Hero costume, or school uniform, or just some plain clothes, hence why she can be a fairly accurate cosplay, because she finds a person that looks similar enough, and just pictures the character.

Zoe's Quirk functions like a modified version of Momo's. She can eat metal, and her body stores the metal for later use. When she wants to use it, she expels the liquid metal, and shapes it into the form she wants. She can only make things from the metals she's eaten, nor can she change the shape of the metal after its formed. Because her Quirk was artificially implanted in her, when she uses it, it causes her body to heat up similar to a forge, the more she uses it, the more she heats up. So, if she overuses her Quirk, she will eventually die of heatstroke, albeit she can resist quite high temperatures. The higher the melting point of the metals she's uses, the faster she heats up. She can lower her body temperature by stopping using her Quirk, being in a cold environment, or expelling some fire. The methods begin to lose effectiveness if she keeps using her Quirk.

I didn't mean to change Sato's Quirk, I just misunderstood how it worked. In canon, his strength triples for like five minutes when he eats 5 grams of sugar, I thought it tripled for every 5 grams of sugar he ate, at the cost that his intelligence keeps dropping each time, so that's the version I'll be using in the future. Yes, I'm aware that has potential to get broken, but I like the idea.

Now then, the speech, Word of God (Writer), as it was meant to be taken:

Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler if you keep reading past this then don't blame me.

Okay, overall, the speech is a foreshadowing of Tomura's future plans, as well as referencing things to come in canon. Asking All Might who the villain is in the story is something that Tomura is planning on throwing back in All Might's face later. It was meant to be disjointed and scatterbrained because Tomura is just saying whatever comes to mind, like All Might noted, much like a child he realizes how childish they sound and tries to justify their actions with flawed reasoning. Tomura is making a point, but they don't really matter at that moment. More accurately, Tomura doesn't have any motivation at the moment; he is acting for the sake of acting, he's planning without an end goal, just taking each day as it comes, so to speak.

In the first part of the speech, Tomura is saying that some people, most people end up as criminals and villains not because they are evil, but the circumstances of life got messed up. He's calling out All Might, and all heroes for defeating the villains, but not caring about fixing the problems that created those villains. Tomura coming from an abusive home life, Himiko being verbally abused because of her Quirk, Dabi having an abusive father, Zoe being neglected because she was born Quirkless. What isn't being said, because most of those aren't Tomura's stories to share, in his head, is he doesn't deny they are villains, that they are committing crimes and attacking the heroes, and being more than willing to kill the heroes if they need to, he's angry that the heroes deny their own culpability in creating those villains, like Endevour being the #2 hero, despite being an abusive asshole.

More specifically, his hatred towards All Might is misplaced, which he recognizes, that what he really hates isn't All Might the man, but All Might the Symbol of Peace because it creates bystanders, something called the 'Superman Effect' from DC comics by Lex Luthor that the existence of a Superman/ All Might causes normal people to push off their problems on him, that All Might can, and will always show up to save them, and don't bother to help themselves, or more personally each other. It's the effect that people on the street can see a bloody, crying child and ignore them because All Might will help. Not only could All Might not stop the villain in his case, because it was Tomura himself, but he couldn't bring back his family. It caused Tomura to realize that All Might is just a human like everyone else.

To sum it up simply: All Might's ideology is people should be able to live in peace, not worrying that they could die at any moment, while Tomura's ideology is people should be aware of their own mortality because they'll have more sympathy towards others in need. (Life is a beautiful lie, and death is a cruel truth.)

In the second part, he asks All Might whether morality is more important than legality, if its right to break the law if it means saving someone else. He was specifically trying to trap All Might into either saying there are no situations in which breaking the law is right, which when discourage Izuku and Todoroki in canon when they broke the law to protect Iida and Native from Stain or imagining if the situation with Eri happened with a foreign diplomat instead of a Yakuza Head. The idea that All Might, for all his power, could be shackled by the law is important for Tomura's long-term plans. Alternatively, having All Might say that its more important to save lives than follow the law is the exact opposite of what the students should be taught. But it's what All Might would approve of, at least in theory, "True Heroes bodies started to move before they had time to think" if that's true than saving people trumps procedure.

The entire callout about Quirkless people, Nezu was accurate in pointing out that while those things could happen, that's far off in the future. What Tomura is really saying is calling out All Might for not doing more to help Quirkless people, telling a Quirkless child they can't be a hero without a Quirk.

Now, a small point of digression, he's making a meta comment that a lot of people complain about All Might telling Deku that, and I love when a fanfic gives a more complete answer, like All Might internally noting that the lack of a Quirk could be overlooked if Izuku worked out, but he had no Quirk and no ability to fight or taken any steps in pursuit of his goal to be a hero. Now we know Izuku has been studying, making him more like a planner like Sir Nighteye or Nezu, but All Might is judging based on first impressions. I've also seen several fanfics say that All Might isn't trying to be rude, but he recognizes that telling a young Quirkless boy to be a hero means almost sending him to a death sentence.

In a more literal sense, he's telling All Might and Deku that he knows about the comment, when they were alone on a rooftop, getting under their skin.

He's also making a meta comment that Aldera High was allowed to belittle Izuku, and allowed Bakugo to bully Izuku for being Quirkless, and got away with it, no repercussions. Now, a second real life comment, unfortunately, here in America, there have been cases of people who were bullied or being molested actually being sued by other victims because they didn't speak out, stating that they failed their duty to their fellow man, and won the case, which sucks. Now this is Japan... in the future, so that may not be a thing in Japan, but I do know that in Japan, teachers are usually worse bullies than the students, and it's just allowed to happen.

What Tomura is saying without saying, is calling out Deku for keeping his mouth shut. Now if Izuku wanted to keep his mouth closed and just move on and forget about all those years of torment, I'm fine with that, and so is Tomura, the problem is if Deku speaking up could help another Quirkless child from being bullied, we all know Izuku would hate that, that someone suffered because he didn't do something, it's very unheroic. All of this to say, Tomura is mad that neither All Might, nor future Deku have done anything to help Quirkless people when they are both former members of the community, especially because Zoe, the closest thing he still has to a sister, was one such discriminated Quirkless child!

The bible comment wasn't meant to bring religion into the debate, it was Tomura saying All Might isn't thinking about the future, having too much faith in the people, much like Moses. Much like how the people turned away from God and started worshipping a false idol, as soon as All Might is gone, the people will start following Endevour, a false idol.

The third part, I think was explained fairly well, but I'll try to simplify it. Tomura is saying that no matter how much All Might may be the hero of justice, the future may not see him that way. Much like how slavery was once legal, it's now an abomination, blacks didn't have rights, until they did, same with women. Homosexuality, transvestites, crossdressing, gender identity, all were abominations until the modern era, unless you were a noble, but that's for a more in-depth history discussion.

Which is what this kind of is, it's the subject my real-life paper when I was going to college for a degree in history, but obviously no one would know that.

The point is what All Might is fighting for, and what Tomura is fighting for, may be seen differently in the future, much like the Founding Fathers, could be seen as villains in the eyes of England, is all a matter of perspective.

Now, to finish up, I had a friend who read the chapter point something out. In the first section, Tomura appeals to those who are disenfranchised with society right now, in the second section, he speaks out in support of minorities and disabled communities, and in the third section, he supports gay rights, trans rights, and race equality. I unintendedly wrote his speech like a politician's speech, which is ironically fitting given Tomura's ultimate goal is changing society via his subtle influences.

Now that I'm done with that, please let me know if that all made sense like I hope it did.

Hopefully, we'll be back in two weeks with the first chapter of Season 2.
