Later that night, the gang decided to head to Stars Hollow. It was Brian's birthday and there was a celebration at Lane & Zach's house for him. Logan didn't know the Hep Alien gang very well, but he figured that Rory's friends were his friends. When they were almost at the exit for Stars Hollow, Rory got a text letting her know that there was rain and the party was moving to Luke's. So, apparently they were also heading to Luke's. Once they arrived at Luke's, they discovered that almost half the town was there.
The next thing Logan knew, he found himself at a table with Rory, Lorelei, Lane, Sookie, and Lulu. The other women were shocked that not only was Rory no longer engaged to Stewart, but she was also back together with Logan.
Finally, Lane asked, "So you're saying that you and Stewart are completely done?"
Rory nodded shyly, "Yeah, pretty much."
Sookie exclaimed, "Oh, thank God!"
Everyone was wide-eyed and turned to look at her. "Oh, I'm sorry for saying it like that, but he wasn't right for you." Everyone else around the table, even Lorelei agreed while Rory and Logan watched.
Rory asked, "All of you thought that?" They all nodded. "For how long?"
Lane responded, "Weeellllll, probably since the first time we met him, if I'm being honest." Sookie, Lulu and Lorelei nodded.
Rory was incredulous, "How come no one said anything?"
Lorelei replied, "Well, you liked him and we wanted to be supportive. If you wanted Stewart, we wanted you to be with him."
Rory and Logan exchanged looks. Rory asked, "Well, what was wrong with Stewart?"
Sookie responded quickly, "He wasn't Logan. I always thought you belonged with Logan." Sookie patted Logan's arm. "You would never have been happy with Stewart because you were never REALLY available."
Logan's mouth was open a bit and he finally asked, "You all felt this way and you were willing to let her get married to him anyway?"
Lorelei shook her head and replied, "It was never going to get that far."
Rory was completely bewildered. "It wasn't?"
Out of no where, Lulu asked, "So when are you two going to get married? Its been a long time coming."
Logan and Rory exchanged looks of surprise.
Somewhere around 3am, Rory realized that she had not fallen asleep yet. She lay there thinking about what Lulu said. As she stared at the ceiling of their suite at the Dragonfly, she glanced over at Logan. The only light in the room was the moonlight sneaking in from around the side of the blackout draped, only revealing the outline of Logan's profile.
"Logan?" she whispered, trying to gauge if he was awake or not.
"Hey," he replied in his raspy whisper.
"I can't sleep."
"Come here," he said as he slipped his arm around her and pulled her into his side. He kissed her temple and asked, "What's on your mind?"
"I keep thinking about what the girls said at Luke's."
"Ehhh," he sighed. "You know, its not anyone's business what we do. Its only up to us."
"Logan, I'm sorry." She turned to face him.
"No... let's not do this. We started fresh," he said.
She stared into his eyes. Things were suddenly clear to her like a neon sign. "Logan, I really want a life with you."
He took her face in both hands and kissed her. "I want a life with you too."
"But I want to start now," she said and kissed him back.
He rolled over so that he was on his side, facing her. "What are you saying, Ace?"
"Do you remember that conversation we had in my apartment, where we said we belonged to each other?" she asked him.
He grinned at her, "Yeah, I do. I also remember something about spurs and Paris belly dancing."
She giggled a little and said, "Ignore Paris, but I loved the way I felt when we said that."
"What are you getting at?" he prodded further.
"Will you ask me again?"
"Really?"
"Yeah, really."
"Are you sure?"
"Yep."
"Ok. I will one day." He smirked at her as she pushed him on his back and climbed on top of him. He hugged her tightly as she kissed him over and over.
"I love you, Logan. And I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you too." He crushed her against him and said, "This feels so right."
She nodded and smiled against his lips. She reached down and pulled off her t-shirt so that they were both left in their underwear and she could feel his chest against her chest. "This feels pretty right too."
He rubbed her bare back and looked up at her. "You are so beautiful..." he said before he rolled them over so that he was on top of her. He kissed the crease at the base of her neck before whispering, "I want you, Rory."
Rory got chills all over her body and felt the same desire for him. He pressed his body against her so that she could physically feel how much he wanted her. She looked up at Logan through her lashes and said, "So have me."
He kissed his way down her body so that he could pull over her panties. He pulled off his boxer briefs at the same time. He kissed his way back up her body and entered her in one smooth thrust. They both moaned in unison. Logan muttered, "How is it always SO good?" He began thrusting slowly, trying to savor the experience and enjoy her body as long as possible.
"Oooohhhhh, it definitely is soooooo gooood," she moaned against his shoulder.
Twenty minutes later, they were snuggling together under the blankets in each other's arms. A realization entered Logan's mind and he felt like he had to say something. "Um, Ace?"
"Yeah?" she asked dreamily.
"Um... we didn't use protection."
"Right, sure," she said, not registering what he said.
"Ace. We didn't USE PROTECTION."
That did it. "Fuck," she said.
Trying to mitigate the situation, "Well, in the morning we can drop by a drugstore and get a Morning After pill," he offered.
"Ok," she nodded and put her head back on his chest. "Hey, Logan?"
"Hmmm?" he looked down at her until she looked up at him to meet his gaze.
"What if we don't?"
"Are you... are you saying what I think you're saying?"
"I'm saying that I want to have your baby," she said softly.
Logan was speechless as a tear ran down his cheek in the darkness.
"Say something," she prodded.
Logan couldn't speak so he kissed her hard and another tear ran down his face. Finally, he said "All I've ever wanted is a family with you."
