Logan woke up first. He opened his eyes to discover a sleeping Rory with her head on his chest and his arms wrapped tightly around her. Neither of them appeared to be coerced, so even though he didn't remember how it happened, he assumed it was consensual. He breathed in the scent of her hair and closed his eyes. Mmmm. Rory. He'd missed her over the years more than he ever dared to admit. He realized that he was absent-mindedly stroking her hair. Without being able to stop himself, he raised his head just enough to kiss her on the head.
That motion was just enough to wake Rory. "Hey..." she whispered to him.
"Um... how did this happen?" he asked still holding her tightly against him.
She winced a little when she realized he didn't do it consciously. "Well, we both fell asleep then I woke up. I turned off the lamps and decided to just let you sleep - I hope that was the right decision..."
Logan realized they were headed onto the on-ramp of a classic Rory-ramble. "Its fine, Ace. Really." He looked her in the eyes as he said it.
She nodded and continued, "So I left you there and came back to bed. When I lay down, you were still asleep and pulled me against you."
"Did I?" he asked earnestly.
She whispered, "It felt so nice..."
He nodded and reached to tip her chin up so that he could see her face. "I agree. I love waking up with you." He tightened his arms around her to give her a tight hug.
Rory decided to roll over completely until she was laying completely on top of Logan. Her face was about 2 inches from his. "I've really missed you," she said softly.
He cupped her face with both hands, "I've missed you too, Beautiful Girl." He kissed her softly, no tongue but with lots of feeling and intention. "There's nothing like seeing your face first thing in the morning."
Rory moaned softly and grabbed his face and kissed him again. "Logan... you feel so good against me."
Logan smirked his classic smirk at her and decided to surprise her. He rolled them both over so that he was laying on top of her. He kissed her again and again. Finally, he said, "Ace, you feel incredible against me." He felt her reach up to pull up his sweatshirt and he reached to hold her hand instead.
"Oh, sorry, I thought..." Rory was immediately embarrassed because she thought she was being rejected.
"No, you thought correctly." He grinned down at her. "But, let's not rush anything. We have all the time in the world." He kissed her again as she wrapped her arms around his neck and tangled her fingers in his hair.
Rory whispered in his ear, "Logan, I want you" and stared into his eyes to see what he was going to do about it.
Logan closed his eyes and tried to fight the raging erection that was rapidly forming in his sweatpants. He knew she could feel his arousal and how much he physically wanted her. "Rory..." he moved off of her to lay on his side. "I promise I'm not rejecting you. I want to do this right." She arched one eyebrow at him. "Really, let me take you out and just spend time with you. I promise I'm still going to want you as much as I do right now." She nodded slowly. "Okay?" he asked.
She grabbed his face and kissed him hard. "Okay."
Logan groaned, "Oh, man. You're not making this easy."
Rory sat up and said, "Okay, well, I'm going to get dressed for brunch. I need a shower. You coming?" she tempted him.
Logan shook his head like a wet dog. "No... NO." He jumped up and looked at his watch. "I'm going to my room to shower and change. I'll see you downstairs in 45 minutes?"
Rory pretended that she was starting to unbutton her top. "You sure about leaving?"
Logan crammed his feet in his sneakers and said, "Not at all." He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her on the head. "See you soon." Then he was out the door and gone.
As soon as he left, Rory leaned against the door almost hyperventilating. "Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God Oh my God..." was all she could say, over and over. The way he looked, the way he smelled, the way he felt against her, the way he held her, the way he knew her and how thoughtful he was... She knew he was right about going slow, but all she could think about was getting him naked.
Less than an hour later, Rory arrived downstairs to a table set for six. Colin and Finn were already seated. "Sooooooooo?" Colin asked her.
"What?" she asked with an unintentional blush.
Finn teased her, "Where did you sleep last night, Love?"
"I can honestly say in my hotel room," she said smugly.
Colin smirked and said in his best courtroom accusatory voice, "But, were you alone Miss Gilmore?"
"Well, nooooooo," she admitted.
"There it is!" Colin exclaimed triumphantly.
"I'm gonna need details, Love," Finn demanded.
Logan walked in the room and Rory quietly said, "Shut up!" to Colin and Finn.
Finn smirked and said, "You can't tell me that you don't think we'll ask him too. You know better than that!"
"Logan!" Colin called over to his friend.
Logan strolled over, wearing dark jeans and a Henley shirt. "Good morning," he said while taking a seat between Rory and Colin.
Amelia and September joined them at that exact moment and flopped into the remaining chairs. "What did we miss?" Amelia asked.
Finn announced, "Love here was just about to tell us who she spent the night with last night because we already know she wasn't alone."
Rory flushed deep red, "I really WASN'T about to tell you anything, actually."
Logan raised his eyebrows and grinned at Finn. "Finn, the real question is who did you spend last night with?"
Finn chuckled and said, "I'd like to know that too, because I'd like to see her again. Alas, she was gone before I woke up and I didn't catch her name..." He smiled sheepishly.
September asked, "Did you remember to pay her first?"
"Fuck, I hope so..." Finn shrugged as Logan squeezed Rory's thigh under the table.
