Stargate Atlantis Trading Grounds I: The Return To La Rochelle
Warnings: This story is going to match the dialog, in the flashback memories, of chapter 4, of the past meets the present series. As it also follows the complete mental breakdowns, of the human half of the team. And Robert Makepeace and Adam Johnson, so the story is going to follow the dialog to the letter exactly. Along with some new dialog that was not in the fast forwarded portion in the flashbacks.
With this chapter it's jumping over the mission to Ernest's research station, before returning to earth now, and ending up back on the base now. Said now looking exactly like the Enterprise D, in every way, shape or form. And just without the technical problems, as the tunneling between their base and White Rock Research Station. There is a set of jeffries tubes going horizontally that way, rather then vertically.
Basing this in real time, rather then the show, of 25 years ago, Antarctica was a neutral zone for research so military research was not allowed out there. And with it, as the chair is considered military technology, it was meant to be last resort. In case of another orbital attack, so the outpost is now trade and exploration here. Also with this chapter Daniel is telling the public, the SGA has reactivated now, and with it.
That he's working trade to bring in more improvement for the planet at large now, so a military attack to bring him back to the states, is attempted, is an international. In incidents and enough to get them convicted for kidnapping now, with his clearance. So from here, is he's dropping in on Ry'ac and Drey'auc and before the press conference. And just before his first stop in planets is to Gaea, home of the Nox.
As the mission was sanctioned, and he was transferred to Landry and the Atlantis team at the time. As Rodney McKay, Cam Mitchell, Vala Mal Doran, Hank Landry, Frank Simmons, Steven Caldwell, John Shepard. And Elizabeth Weir enter the picture here, the story will have Daniel and Teal'C joining their team. As the SGA is founded 5 years early, and moved into the outpost on earth….

Chapter 29: The New Broadcast, The Mission Begins And The Truth Comes Out IX
"Fast food catch, is that the system better have inputted a high level of diabetic based foods, with the real ingredients, so they can eat. But 80% good food, 20% junk, plenty of exercise, take their vitamins, and no splurging. That we need to keep their insulin levels manageable, before it results in an emergency here. Or worse here, hypoglycemia, that kiddo, if you missed dinner, you need a fast recharge, then eat." Daniel said and his godson's grandson nodded.
"Make that candy bars, cookies, hostess cakes and potato chips, it's a case of junkfood heaven here, but we're doing a 80% healthy diet, 20% junk starting now. And the MRE's are coming with everything the body needs, so carbs, protein, calcium, vitamins. And minerals, a small batch of fat, sugar and plenty of water, there's the essence of a balanced diet. The current MRE's are nothing, but junk food, you need the entire thing to focus." Pulaski said to that news.
As she saw the aisles, saw they were packed with the normal junkfood catch, and then saw another aisle loaded with camping and barbecue supplies, and looked between them. "Uh huh, if the kids can't get to their cafeteria, or Sickbay, they raid the mini market now. And load up on medical supplies and fast recharge, the candybars, and head for their leader's apartment. And create their survival kits." Daniel said, at the realization and the quintet exchanged smiles.
"Or just two of us, in grandparents do, and the trio are waiting for us, as we create a distraction here, and then raid the drug store, get as much as possible. And a couple duffle bags now, and bring them back to the safe house, and create our gear. And as we create our MRE's, Dr. Pulaski said your way was a perfect and time honored way to practice medicine. That shove ourselves back 300 years and use you for the training." Wesley said and Landry started laughing at that.
"The foothold situation, so training gone real, it's tying up decks 26 to 12, as they work at shutting down everything, and putting everything into place, by remote. So 4 options to choose from, and as Daniel decided here right now, constant training. Turned real scenarios, as we're pretending we got repeated trouble, like whatever walks through that gate next." Teal'C clarified and Landry nodded smiling gently. "Beyond qualified here." he said with a proud smile then.
"And the drug store is the said mini market, with this stuff, along with the added props, and Halloween is on aisle 4." Lou said, looking around the corner already seeing the props meant for the holiday. "Son take it easy on the sweets, that's 80% of the good, 20% of the bad, if you want a taco, burger or pizza that's fine, just don't over do it. But complete balanced diet with everything the body needs here." Crusher said and Wesley nodded, smiling as Daniel turned.
"Computer, is everything automated, regarding food assembling, have it looking like the advertisements?" Wesley asked and they heard a smile. "Indeed Master Crusher, the said specialties of the Mexican company, look like the advertisement, as do the burgers. And the nuggets are made from whole white meat chickens." it said and they nodded then. "Can you add sparkling grape juice to list of alternatives, in drinks?" he asked it gently.
And they checked the system and saw two machines, the second containing fruit juices, fruit punches, and non alcoholic fruit cocktails. Corresponding to the company owning the stocks to the company, as they saw a Subway, McDonalds. Pizza Hut and Taco Bell and the teenagers nodded. "Perfect, if we want to go for a burger, subway sandwich, taco or pizza, we can order in, and it comes to the apartment and when we got a game night." Jake said and Wesley nodded.
"Just keep those game or movie nights under control, we got kids younger then you on this ship, so keep it clean, nothing higher then medium PG-13. In your apartments, and when you got kids younger then you living on both sides of you." Daniel said and they nodded. "Yes Sir" "Sure thing, Uncle Daniel." they said together and Crusher and Peter Kurland exchanged smiles. "The wise guy screwing with the video games, we're not having the hologram jumping out the door."
"With you playing Blitz 2000 or whatever right now, but you want to play the hardcore video games, do it on the holodeck, so these kids never have to see the carnage." Beverly said and they, the Dayton twins and Roberta Lefler all nodded. "Now that should be funny, the automated babysitter had just finished the night, and the parents got off, as they're talking. And just as they opened the door, a hologram catching the ball comes flying out." Robbie said with a laugh.
"Yeah that or someone's playing Smash Bros, Super Mario Bros, or just Starfox." Wesley said and Landry tried to keep from laughing. "Indeed Master Crusher, but the games are 128bit, as are the first person shooter games. When on the computer, I just left out Duke Nukem, so you get the other 3." the computer said and they smiled. "Meaning they're practically life like now, as characters on the games, awesome." Chase Dayton said to the news.
"Alright so keep these games under control, and keep the noise toned down so you don't startle the cat, if he's in the apartment. And across the hall, as he's going to think someone started a pillow fight in here." Daniel said and they nodded. "Well a ship this size contains quite the set of entertainment, we can play basketball, and enjoy being normal teenagers. Though we're the big brothers and sisters, to the next age groups down." A cadet dressed in a red shirt said then.
"Science or Athletic, son?" Daniel asked and he smiled. "Both actually Sir, my name is Jared Anderson Commander, my team and I came on site, so sort of college visit day. But the quartet's parents are part of your command, Lieutenant to Lieutenant Commander in all their cases. So second generation Air Force, turned Navy here." he said and Landry nodded, smiling. "Perfect, I knew they're good, but this is to prepare for the real thing." he said smiling and Daniel nodded.
"Who here is a cat person exactly?" he asked and 120 people lifted their hands. "Denali." Teal'C said and Daniel nodded. "Yeah I never wanted to leave mine behind, so time to go get him again." he said and they heard a meow. "Your fellow cat is a black, the size of the biggest of your wild counterparts, highly intelligent, and sees me as his cub." Daniel said and they got an understanding meow as everyone started laughing at the remark then and Landry chuckled.
"I hope he encoded a translator into the holodeck, so Denali can ask for his terrain, and go for a run to stretch his legs here right now." Landry said and Daniel nodded. "Meow!" they heard, and he looked down, and saw Spot's double and crouched and ran a hand. And through her head fur gently and she started purring. "Yeah, with us living on the coldest continent on earth, best we're all cat, hamster or bunny people, rather then dog." he said and Landry nodded, smiling.
"Just like the show, and so whoever brought their cat or rabbit, people, put a tracking beacon on that fluffball's collar, or the next time. That we're tracking thermal spots, instead of our quarry, we get him or her next." Picard said and Landry started laughing at that remark, as they now knew where everything was, just like the show then, as they headed for the briefing room. "Only on Earth, and it's freezing outside, we got air, and we got heating, food and plenty of water."
"But the last 10 decks is the plumbing for water now, as we purify the water, the docking for the subs, and the emergency equipment storage. Alright here, everyone, nobody goes below deck 42, below that and the deeper down, the colder it gets, till you really feel like you're in space, so with that deck level, level 42, we're still borderline dysphotic zone here." Picard said and they nodded. "And at level 43, we're in an aquarium, so to speak." La Forge said and he nodded.
"And looking out the damn window, to see these guys swimming around, Computer, at what depth is deck 42?" Daniel said and they heard a gentle tone. "Deck 42 is 750ft, in depth, the ship, I, stretch to 900ft deep now, as you remember. And from your science fiction story, starring Captain Henderson's acting double. At that depth the water is very cold now, so unless going scuba diving via the subs, stay inside." it said to him gently then.
"As Peter said, at that depth right now, is we're asking for some lame brain to flip out and crack up, but this is insane, whoever it is has space dementia. I'm more used to this then she is, I do this day in and day out, after coming this low now. And the ship from 36 to 26 is 150feet, I can manage that, just 10 days in the chamber then come topside, all too easy here. But my Sarah, she understands my job is safer then being a soldier." Daniel said and Landry nodded sternly.
"I get why son, in truth here, this is way too easy for you, you prefer the peace and quiet compared to the explosions, and whatever of being in the SGC." he said to him then, and Drey'auc sighed in relief, to her, he and her husband had enough excitement. And to last a lifetime, this was better then that, they were safe now, knowing her human earth counterpart. Would feel the same about her brother in everything but blood now, as she looked at them.
"Computer, where is Captain Henderson and his team?" Daniel said and they heard a gentle tone. "Checking the diving depth Commander, but they are coming on board now, they just finished the security arrangement around the ship. Just to insure, if we got any subs from Continental North America coming, the defenses are going to deflect it." it said and they nodded sternly then. "Water mines." he said and she and Vala nodded then.
"Alright: We're gonna pressurize you now, I know it's hot in there, but you're going to feel coolness: That's the helium." they heard from Barnes and they heard a questioning tone. "Helium?" they heard from Arquette's voice. "Not paying attention again young man, now that you're out of basic training." they heard from Jackson's voice and Daniel nodded. "Get ready this is what helium does to your voice." he said and the offworlders all nodded then.
"Eric, we got a problem here it seems that the kid here never was paying attention, as topside we're about to handle, but we're 400ft below our normal diving depth. So if I'm guessing correctly here, though that level, is 10 days in the chamber." he said to him and knew he nodded sternly. "Agreed young man, not paying attention, again, right now were you the only one not paying attention here?" he said sternly to him then.
"Well the physics lesson should be interesting right now, but I remember this right now on this, but there it is, 9 days right now. Young man, explain that, I thought you remembered this right now, this depth, with artificial oxygen." Schrieber's voice to that, as they heard a sigh. "Oxygen is a corrosive gas in the same family as chlorine and fluorine. Hydrochloric acid. Hydrofluoric acid." he said and Ry'ac exchanged looks then.
And the 240 human teenagers, who were all trying to keep from laughing nodded, and Wes wrote down 'Bro, this is what this gas does to human voice, you sound like a cartoon character, trust me, you'll get used to it, but we use these, to sound normal.' he said, putting a device the table, and they nodded as Teal'C, Drey'auc and Vala. We're trying to keep from laughing, as everyone's smirking at Arquette's voice's seriousness and his squeaky voice.
"Essentially that's why we're breathing helium down here because oxygen at any level higher than 2.3 becomes toxic." he said and everyone nodded. 'Two.3, that's the safest level, anything higher then that is dangerous, when down there.' Daniel wrote out and turned it to Teal'C, who nodded with an amused smile. "Can you run that by me again, Larry, as I don't speak fluent balloon." Henderson said, forgetting to get it on then
"Yes..., yes that's my voice. The helium resonates differently with my vocal cords." he said and they heard the final remark. "Follow the yellow brick-road." Jackson's voice said, and the teenagers broke as they all started laughing. "Commander was that really necessary, you don't need to sound like Jackson on the movie to get the point across." Wesley said as he was trying to keep from laughing at that, knowing the older man did that on purpose then.
"Alright knock it off guys and get it on Larry, before my students die laughing." Daniel said and they heard an add on. "Alright, kiddies, cut it out, the voice regulators are behind you. Put 'em on." Barnes said to them and smiled. "Uncle Dan's favorite sci-fi author, that exchange was in the movie." Wes said and the 241 young teenagers all nodded smiling. "That's what this gas does to your voice, you sound like a cartoon character." Ry'ac asked and he nodded smiling.
"We reorganized for 5 weeks, so my mission to see the system lord duo we met is in 3, and two more before I leave for Shyla's so there it is, we got time to get know each other right now." Daniel said and they heard a smiled in the tone. "Perfect, but we got enough that she's persona non grata here right now, after what she did to you. And we know everything, but having her in the habitat, is not going to happen." he heard from Stone's voice then.
"Well that's a relief, is this spread all over the diving teams right now?" he asked and they heard a stern tone from Jackson. "Yeah it is right now, and frankly, I don't blame you for being ticked off, not only is she a coward, but that's treason. Everything is expendable to save their cowardly buts now, but what the hell people, did losing half your genomes. Suddenly trigger your self preservation finally." he said and the teenagers nodded sternly.
"I know I said that the exact way you quoted it, but SG teams go above and beyond the call, just to get the job done, but that incident with the radiation. It's though they see me every now and again, I'm staying on our side of the ship now." he said and knew they nodded. "I doubt that the serum heals injuries to that extent, but both that and ascension could. But break it too soon, it could come on stronger then before." she said and he nodded.
"Yeah I know and I considered that, I'm not breaking it till the right time, say the last episode of the 6th season, but we're doing race planets. And Shyla's kingdom only here, that I'm safe for now, I'm better off here, but I'm not leaving the ship. So just pretending I'm Q here, I can interact, I just can't interfere right now." he said and knew they nodded. "Well so long as we see you all the time, even trade bro." Jackson's voice said and he smiled in affection then.
"See you guys next week." he said and they heard a smiled in the tone. "You too little brother." she said and he smiled. "The people playing them are playing the cast on said book turned movie, so personality, looks and voice, once you read earthling literature. If they create it into a movie, you hear the words coming out of the actors playing them. But half are low PG-13, others are medium high." he said and the offworlders nodded smiling gently to the news.
"So 80 of you are from Marisposa, 80 more from Cantos V and I recognize you guys, you, at 35 are the men playing your grandsons, you're Angosia. Although your father are exact replicates to the men playing them, your grandsons." Daniel said and the 240 all nodded gently. "The prime minister offered 20 cloning machines, in exchange for acceptance into the federation." Nelson's father said and he nodded. "Done." he said and they smiled at the news then gently.
"Training tactics, but your training is in 5 stages, the last insures we got a way to prevent a real foothold here, or worse right now, but 2.5 years training." Daniel said and they nodded smiling. "Well like I said, if the test only gave three options, all of them end in failure, that leaves one option, it's doing this by adding a fifth option, and distract you. And till the commander arrives with the cure for this, but stopping the attack by killing you, we're not going to do that."
"You're our mentor, practically our father, we're not going to do what that Sholva would say here, after 2.5 years together." Kyle said to that and Daniel nodded. "Well they may claim here that you never allow your emotions to get in the way, but then again, they do it all the time. But during a situation like this, bury your feelings deep down, they do you credit. But they could be made to serve the enemy now." he said and they nodded in understanding to the advice.
"We're doing the broadcast tomorrow night." they heard and he turned to see the president walking up. "Sir." Daniel said, smiling, and he shook his hand. "I want to thank you for alerting me to that Commander, I didn't think they would cross that line, I don't agree to over turn it. It's assassination, they brought me to the base 5 days ago, I been waiting for you to arrive. But you're right, my orders to you are the only way to get any trade going here now, in truth."
"But I ordered complete radio block out till you did this broadcast now, no one knows where we are, what you got for me, my new hideaway?" he asked and Daniel nodded smiling. "It got worse here, Sir, but I gained two realizations last week, that one after Hathor managed it. Reproducing the base to that level she knows where everything was, and two, after SG-11 was kidnapped by Apophis 10 months on P89-354, he now stole the SGC training manual."
"They know everything and have 11's iris code, the SGC has now been compromised." he said and the president nodded. "If you never realized that, Rogers's teams attacks and we're done for." he said and Daniel nodded. "Yes Sir, but these idiots, our ex unit and SG-3, aside from Judson, Morrison. And Patterson, were so busy worrying about their own safety and psychosis on Hathor, they never thought of these things, but they admitted it: everything is expendable."
"To save their own behinds, I threw them to the wolves for that, we're expendable to save earth, you're not Sir, it's our job to protect you, my job to protect you. I take my job seriously, unlike some right now." he said and the older man nodded gently. "So they're willing to kill the president, just to save themselves from further assimilation?" Ryan said sternly and he nodded. "Yeah that's exactly what the four of them just said." he said and the joint chiefs nodded sternly.
"They're being committed for 10 months." Jumper said sternly to the news and pressed the radio button. "George, deactivate their computer access codes, they're red alert starting now, if Daniel returns and with him Teal'C, they're blue." The president said and knew he nodded to the orders. "Yes Sir, we're finished in getting the gate up and running, so are we doing the broadcast tomorrow, if my son just got back?" he asked and the president nodded then.
"Yes George, we're doing it pretty soon here, he's bringing me up to date on what he just figured out, in what these characters said here. I been on the base ever since the alert came through, having the frontal portion to the ship myself. The other departments had the spots on both sides of me, while Q is updating security on the white house right now." he said and knew he nodded. "Got it Sir, son I'm waiting to hear from you." he said and Daniel nodded.
"As for what you told me here, regarding these guys, the quartet now, they're desperate to the point of murder, to protect themselves from further conversion. That's why I assigned that side note directly to you, spot the dangers and prevent it now. But I understand that Commander, I really do, you always took the job seriously, it's not about winning a war. But to preserve our race, we're not picking a fight with these people, but the military intelligence had here now."
"And that's illegal here right now in truth, that clearly they're so bored at there not being enough to do, they pick a fight with the most dangerous race in the galaxy. Just like Tim's organization out of his own vendettas, it could easily jeopardize her majesty's government. Well their own against you could easily jeopardize mine, if we don't get this under control. As you're Tim in every sense of the word in this first movie, which is why you have women in truth here."
"Coming after you every time you turn around now, and anyway, my side panel was meant for you, but as your training by MacGregor was meant for this. It's not your job to prevent them from making fools of themselves, they should have common sense to know better. You decide what's safe and what's not, without it turning into a warzone repeatedly now." he said and Daniel nodded. "The Nelsons are from Marisposa." he said and he smiled gently to the news.
"We organized the first in a double or nothing, of half now, half later the now, is exchanged to have their children train here and some fresh samples is 20 to 30 cloning machines. And then in 366 years once we find Danilo, they get some very fresh breeding stock." he said and the brass nodded smiling. "So in addition to your invulnerability serum, everyone killed is actually a clone now on earth, or wherever, that's brilliant!" General Bill Maynard said smiling at the idea then.
"After Naughton's movie, it's needed Bill, so though every time Kessler, Remus, or Remus's fellow wolves like himself, blacks out. And the night of said full moon, he never killed a live person, but rather clones. And neither did Apophis, Nirrti or whoever, as the entirety of the teams that got murdered, are all clones." He said and they exchanged smiles at the brilliance of his idea. "Preserve our race, by cloning, I never thought of that." Riker said gently to that news.
"Bill listen to me, the Borg were the perfect example, as was whoever else you encountered was killed, the Yamato. So cloning is a way of life, to us, your 20th century counterparts, if we reset the time-line. So there's why we need the machines, so the clone dies, but we don't, the clones understand exactly, this is their job: protect to the original. By taking the shot for him, or worse, whoever ignored medical safety guidelines and drank the whatever." he said to him then gently.
"Looks like we were too quick to object, only our grandparents just did for us." Picard's grandson said and Riker nodded in agreement. "Then Tasha, Marla and the others would still be alive if we had this?" he asked and he nodded. "Fix your mistakes, by doing it for you, we got the job, training their kids, in exchange for the machines, you provide the breeding stock. And done, by the Bringloidi." he said and Picard, Riker and Deanna all nodded, smiling gently.
"That works, you haggle some cloning machines off them, in exchange for training their kids, and we complete the deal by offering them fresh breeding stock. In the form of the Bringloidli now, so there's our combined deal, both sides." Geordi said smiling and the trio nodded in agreement. "Like Kate said, this is a match made in heaven." Deanna said smiling and Riker smiled then. "Unfortunately it will be a shotgun wedding now." he said and Picard chuckled.
"The SGA is really you, as you are now guys, so we're you in late 20th century to early 21st century form now." he said and they smiled. "You provided the way for us, and we stayed true to ourselves, because we're you in the next generation. Hence the subtitle to our show, Star Trek: The Next Generation, only we're the next generation to you. Our grandparents, well this prevents my dropping out, I'm on a learning expedition." Crusher said to the news smiling.
"My grandson is your mentor, as Ancient descent, we're like Jedi, kiddo, so first me to your grandfather then my grandson to you, baby. But remember everything I taught you through your grandfather now, if you never find the answer you're looking for. Cross out the others and create your own now, but I'm just saying this now, though very good, you are indeed. You don't need your skills, brilliance and title thrown at you every time you turn around in truth here."
"Your training is up to me, your parents and godparents, it's family business and as this traveler is not family, we're kindly telling him to stay out of our affairs. From now on, just stay away from you, you're off limits." he said and Crusher smiled happily and the Beverly chuckled at that. "The parents are me and Beverly, godparents are Will and Deanna, makes perfect sense, and the stupid brats never considered Beverly left him with me, as she got transferred."
"He's my stepson, and I just never kept the ring on my finger." Picard said, and she nodded smiling and he put his hand on her's and she smiled with love and affection at him. And Riker, Deanna and Geordi all started laughing and now, knowing whoever did it was dead. "Oh heads are going to roll alright, attack him, you just attacked the son of your commander. As it's dead man walking here." O'brien said as he started laughing and Picard nodded, smiling sternly.
"And to answer the other question, as she would later tell my replacement, they did less then half the repository list here, so one of those planets is loaded with beaches here now. The new retreat for you and the other world leaders carries few thousand things to do. And is covered by a 2 country sized dome, stronger then anything personal shield there is out there. I chose the new Alpha site we well, it's being redirected to the observatory right now here in truth."
"But that's the alpha site, the beta site now, is actually one of the un-named moons looking like Yavin IV here right now, emergency evac, and we're preparing for here. But the first test here, is, we can get two technologies at once here, if we play this carefully and correctly. Now Harlan did it under un-authorization, so we make them authorized." he said and the president nodded. "As everyone remembers the events resulting in Kevin's close call death here as his character."
"What do robots have a perfect penchant for, but we don't exactly right now?" he asked and Landry nodded. "Aside from a computer virus, they never get sick, they also can work the night shift, work through the night to come up with a cure, til the teams get in, and pick it up." he said and Daniel nodded. "Bingo right now, that a human works over time here, their immune system crashes, have an android do the medical, or just the research over enemies here."
"Like the borg now, till Will told Shelby's that's enough, everyone needs to get a few hours of sleep, nobody is doing alnighters. So that solves one, secondly is rather then military technologies, we need ways to preserve ourselves, so exactly what's the biggest worry you had after we lost 210 people in 2.5 years here?" he asked and he nodded. "That you walk into a warzone, you're not coming back alive, and we have to tell your next of kin you're gone."
"I see where you're going with this, we should get a few cloning machines, and that solves the problem, cloning is a way of life here, to preserve ourselves, prevent death." General Michael Ryan said and he nodded gently. "These idiots are not bothering to look at the most detrimental functions, that one we need A.I. so nobody falls asleep on the job. And gets cut by a scalpel or needle covered in the blood, of a level 3 or 4 contagion, and 2) so anymore deaths right now."
"Are prevented, McClintock never told you, we already had the serum, meant to prevent the original strain, only now they're trying to wipe out an American town. And for the perfect biological weapon, and Ford turned him in." he said and the AMRIID leader nodded sternly. "All these NID guys are like this, they want weapons, and screw saving lives, they want a way now. Just to strong arm the others countries into submission." he said and the president nodded.
"The virus mutated and we couldn't stop it now, but we could have, with the Anti-serum, that Ford created, yeah enough is enough." he said sternly to the news. "So this happens in an American town, then the infected are all clones, and now the originals are safe. Yeah that's a great idea, they never wiped out an entire city for a weapon that deadly. What other ideas you suggest?" he asked and Daniel nodded smiling. "Better harvesting." he said and they nodded.
"It got worse here, but here's where vendettas left nothing to the added thinking now, such as, thanks to kidnapping SG-11, the bastard has knowledge.
