It didn't take long before a carriage pulled beside where Allie had been standing. The carriage looked typical of the many that were always busy taking their occupants to and from locations in London. The driver though did not appear as though he was dressed in a uniform or associated with any of the local transportation companies. "Miss, it appears as though a carriage has been ordered for you, where would you like to go?" the driver asked. Allie knowing no ride was ordered for her, stated that she appreciates the offer but is waiting for someone to meet her. The driver didn't let up and from up behind Allie another man ran up behind her and placed a handkerchief over her mouth and nose. Breathing in to scream, Allie inhaled the chemical on the handkerchief and became dizzy. She felt her knees no longer supporting her weight, she was scooped up and placed in the carriage by this other man.

Detective Fitzroy signaled to his men that were strategically placed so there was no escape for the carriage. The carriage driver pulled a gun when met by a wall of armed officers that were blocking the carriage's path. Shots were fired. Horses that led the carriage became spooked and the carriage swung hitting the lamp post which brought it to a stop. Attempting to flee, the driver of the carriage and his accomplice were captured. Detective Fitzroy assisted Allie out of wrecked carriage. As Allie placed her hand on Detective Fitzroy's upper arm to steady herself through the last obstacle she felt something wet on his sleeve. Pulling back quickly to look at her hand she saw blood. It couldn't have been hers, her arm hurt but she hadn't noticed that she was bleeding. "Detective are you bleeding?" she spun Fitzroy so he was facing her with his opposite arm. He had been shot, but his adrenaline was too high to have felt it. Detective Fitzroy looked and shrugged off his coat to get a better look at the injury. Allie quickly untied the linen scarf she was wearing and wrapped it tightly around the Detective's arm, the bullet appeared to have grazed his arm. Fitzroy smiled at Allie while she was caring for his arm, "Just a little flesh wound, I will get it looked at later. Where did you learn to tie a bandage that well?" Allie responded, "I had a friend who trained me in emergency medicine back home as he was unable to find an assistant for surgeries he performed in the hospital." The detective looked impressed and put his coat back on his arm. Offering his other arm to Allie they got on another coach to return to Scotland Yard to question the suspects.

Meanwhile at the hotel, Eliza had been sitting alone in the establishment's restaurant. She observed an officer enter and go to where Phelps was watching. Phelps came over to her after nodding to the other officer, "Miss Scarlet it is reported that Detective Fitzroy and his team have apprehended the suspects and have them in custody, everyone is heading back to Scotland Yard."

As Eliza arrived back at Scotland Yard, all the men were waiting to hear their next orders. The suspects were being questioned on the location of their other victims. Eliza joined Allie on a bench where they sat quietly hoping to hear the conversation in the interrogation room. All of a sudden the rooms doors opened with force and Detective Fitzroy and Phelps alerted the men of the location the suspects had disclosed. Allie and Eliza shot up to follow, Detective Phelps turned to them and sternly said that their services were no longer needed. "I think you have forgotten Detective Phelps that this is as much your case as it is ours." Eliza said matching his attitude. Detective Fitzroy over heard the conversation and stepped in, "Miss Eliza is right Phelps, you previously passed on this case, She is now my consultant, and a potential victims parents hired Miss Eliza directly and she will be crucial in identifying and questioning any victims while Miss Alexandra will see to any emergency medical attention required."

Eliza looked over at Allie, was she actually qualified to give emergency medical attention or was Detective Fitzroy flexing his authority? Either way Eliza was grateful for the help.
