The class session ends and it is a free period for the day, as many of the students are packing to head home. I approach Mikan and ask if she is ready to go to which she nods. "Alright, let's go, I promised that I want to share with you something important.", I say as I escort her out of the classroom. "Gray, you asked me if I could recall something from my past, I can't really quite remember, I am afraid, lots has happened back then.", she apologizes for her inability to remember what it is, as I assure her that it is alright as I knew something about her back then, something that she tried to forget about. I cannot blame her for it was really a confusing time for her back in elementary school.
Mikan holds my hand as we walk together, she looks at me, and wants to express something to me, "B-But. I can recall that you have been of great support to me, and I am very indebted to you for caring for me. I really wanted to say this but I never got the chance to before.", she speaks softly as she somewhat stutter while bringing up the courage to express herself. As discussed, we are now outside the campus; in the courtyard, as it appears both of us have much to say to each other. "Mikan, will this be okay, there isn't anyone except us right now, so we can say what we need to in private." Mikan nods as she seems excited to tear me something, as I ask her what is it. She looks at me and starts hugging me tightly, as I was surprised to see that. "Can i tell you in your ear?", Mikan asks.
I am mildly blushing as I stammer to answer, "Y-yes Mikan, what is it?" She then whispers the words into my ear, "I really like you, Abraham, I mean... I love you." She smiles with an affectionate look, wanting me to reciprocate her feelings for me, as I answer with an embrace. "Mikan, that is very loving of you, do I mean that much to you?" She nods with a yes, as I feel happy to hear a close friend say that. I have always admired Mikan's strength and will to presevere and help people the best she can despite the world not being so lenient to her.
However, I cannot forget on what I actually need to tell her with a serious look on my face, I hold her shoulders, "Mikan, I need you to know about what I am going to show you. It is very important." She looks slightly concerned, "What is it, Abraham?" I tell her to, "But promise me that you won't freak out and you won't distrust me, okay?" She pauses for a second before nodding, "I won't i promise, now tell me." I then take her to a nearby hedge, as I tell her to wait for a bit and head inward through the gardens. I call out and hold the hand of little blonde hair girl while walking her to Mikan. Mikan looks at the girl with shock and couldn't help but find her familiar, "Who is that, Abraham, who is the little girl?"
"Her name is Rachel Gardner. She is... my daughter under my care." Mikan looks surprised and shocked, "H-Hold on... YOUR DAUGHTER?!" I nod as I calm her, reminding her to not lose composure, "Yes, please... don't freak out like I told you." "But-But... How old are you then?", as she looks even more confused. I tell her I am 19 this year. "But... but... i thought you were older than me?", she asks as Mikan looks worried now. "Well, not exactly I had to falsify my age to advance quickly through my schooling years, for my work as a mercenary.", I reply calmly. "B-but how old is Rachel then...?", Mikan looks very concerned. "Rachel is 9 right now.", as soon as I reply, Mikan is even more surprised that I had her so young but what I am about to tell her is going to be even more of a shocking news.
"Mikan, the truth is...", I anxiously try to process on what I am about to tell her. "What is it... just tell me...", as Mikan looks at me with her hand to her chest, preparing to hear it. "Rachel is your daughter too, and you are her biological mother." Her eyes widen and look at you with shock and astonishment, "W-WHAT?!" She looks completely shocked to hear what I just said. "Y-Yes, please don't freak out as I told you." Mikan fidgets her fingers and tries to make sense of this, "I-i can't believe this... so i'm a mom? So-so Rachel is my daughter?" I nod as I ask her that whether she could remember about this. "I-i thought i didn't... but i just remember... i had a met a young girl but I didnt... know about her..."
"You actually had Rachel when you were 11 because of the bullies not only picked on you, but they actually..." Mikan's eyes widen, as she could slowly recall, "Wait... you mean..." "Those bullies actually raped you, and I could not believe my eyes when I witnessed them doing such a horrid thing to many other girls, including you...", I sadly point out to Mikan. Mikan looks horrified as tears run down her face, "I-i don't want to remember that!" I hug Mikan in comforting her, telling her that I am here and sorry if I reminded her of this horrible memory. "I quickly informed word to the school and the police about it, and when I came to help you, it was already 3 months since the bullying continued and they have been pressing hard on many of the female students for so long; and were subjected to forced pregnancy...", as I feel devastated to say all this, of feeling bad of helping too late. Tears keep running down Mikan's face as she try to ask me of Rachel, "Y-You took care of my baby? W-why didn't you tell me..."
"Because you didn't want Rachel, you were scared that you couldn't take care of her because of your father and you were such at a young age", as I swallow in more remorse to reveal the truth to Mikan. Tears run down her face as her body shakes.
"I-i'm such a bad mother... i-i forgot about it all... my daughter... b-but she is here in your care... I am thankful." Mikan tries to approach Rachel, but the little girl just distants herself from her. "Rachel... it's me...", Mikan just wants to see her up close. Rachel still doesn't want to go near her and remains behind me. Mikan could feel her tearing up a bit; she starts pleading with her eyes, "Please Rachel... it's me... i-i'm your mom..."
"Rachel, it is okay, your mother just wants to see you, go to her.", I calm Rachel, and express to her to see Mikan but she still doesn't want to. I think to myself, "Could it be too apart, no I am sure there is still a connection." Mikan's tears run down her face, "R-Rachel... i promise i will take good care of you from now on..." I assure Mikan that Rachel just needs some time. I think that it is still to early for them to reconcile so I thought of maybe heading to a park to talk things out in a more peaceful manner. "Y-yes, that sounds good. So we'll head to the park and talk... ok Rachel?" Rachel seems a bit reluctant "Yes, that sounds like a good idea.", I agree. I help Mikan to gently hold Rachel's hand and we start going to the park.
Rachel hesitantly holds her mother, Mikan's hand for the first time in a long time, and she could feel the warmth of her hand, and that she wants to fix things but still refuse to see her. *We reach the park and Mikan sits down on a bench. Rachel stares at the floor "Rachel, look at me baby", as Mikan looks at Rachel and starts crying. "Rachel... i'm so sorry i forgot about you for so long... but I will always love you... ok?" Rachel keeps staring at the ground. I tell Rachel to go and play on the swing for a bit while I talk with Mikan. Rachel runs to the playground and starts playing on the the swing. Mikan looks back at you and puts her head on your shoulder
"Thank you so much for taking care of Rachel all this time..."
"It is okay i promise to take care of her for you, because you ask me to before you left." Mikan hugs you tightly and starts crying again, "Thank you... thank you... thank you so much!" She kisses my cheek, "You know how much she means to me, I could only blame myself that I couldn't take care of her, I was in such a wreck and I didn't know who to turn to. So, thank god, you were there..."
"I may not be her real father but I knew how it felt to be raised without a parent, and I know you didn't mean to leave her behind, it was a very confusing time for you and for me." Mikan smiles as she wants to ask, "T-Thank you so much... can i ask you a big favor..?" I reply, "Yes, Mikan. I will help in any way I can."
"I want... you, to be Rachel's father and i want you to adopt her... you've already helped her so much, now i want you two to be one... I want you both to be a family..." as Mikan looks up at you with pleading eyes. I nod with an assuring smile, "I am already Rachel's guardian so I will look after her as a father figure, but I brought her here to make up for lost time with her mother." "Thank you so much... i can't believe this is happening...", Mikan starts crying tears of joy. "I can't believe i'm back with my baby girl again..."
"But Rachel still seems to not believe in you just yet, just give her some time to find a comfortable moment to get close to you." "M-mhmm, I understand... let me just talk to her for a while ok?" She looks at Rachel who is playing on the swings. "Mikan... of course. But, I want to tell you something else about Rachel.", as I point to her clothes. Mikan sees her wearing some sort of prison shirt and skirt as indicated by the black and white stripes and she is a little worries seeing her wear that.
Rachel then dismisses her apology and runs away seemingly crying as I could see, I went to console Mikan and hug her, reminding her that she is not to blame for all this.
Mikan begins to sob.
I know that she would be saddened to hear such horrible things befell Rachel, "She was framed as a scapegoat by many criminals, for robbery, murder and even arson at times, they merely used her as means of escaping, by using forceful methods to have her comply with their demands." I then add about the police despite apprehending the culprits, they couldn't rule her out as an accomplice to the criminals and had to send her to jail.
Mikan tears up just hearing such awful things that happened to Rachel, she couldn't bear to think of how much suffering and loneliness she had been through on her own. "Rachel is just small kid at the time, how could they jail her for that?", I say that at the time, the police could do little to release her from her accused crimes. Mikan realizes that all of this was her fault that she couldn't be there for her, and she wants to make up for it.
She walk to Rachel, calling her name but the young blonde hair girl just gets off the swing and walks the other way. "Rachel, please. I know that you have been through so much, I want to make it up to you.", Mikan apologizes from the bottom of her heart, hoping her words can reach her daughter. Rachel ignores and keeps on walking away, Mikan runs after her and grabs her by her hand, "Please, won't you even look at me, Rachel? I beg you, just give me a chance."
Rachel struggles to break free and run away, Mikan catches up to her again, pleading to her daughter. "Please, my baby. Don't run away, I am your mother." Rachel then shouts in denial, "No, you are not! Where were you when I needed you most? Why did I have to suffer where girls my age could live happily with love and care? Because I was unwanted? What did I do to deserve this?", she sobs as she runs away, and Mikan was so torn to see her daughter so hurt because of her.
Mikan looks deeply hurt and sad by the words Rachel said.
"Rachel... i didn't abandon you... i just... i just forgot you were there. I... i wanted to be a good mother to you... i really tried..." She hugs her tightly and starts crying, "I... i love you... i'm so sorry..." Rachel then dismisses her apology and runs away seemingly crying as I could see, I went to console Mikan and hug her, reminding her that she is not to blame for all this.
Mikan begins to sob. "Rachel why do you hate me so much? I do love you... i can't imagine my life without you... you are my daughter and I only want to make up for lost time. I made a big mistake by not being with you... don't hate me... i love you and I want to make it up to you."
I approach the crying nurse, comforting her and remind her that it was a confusing time for both her and Rachel. "Mikan, don't rush it, she is also finding it hard to come to reality of this, you are not a bad mother, it was just an misfortune that happened." Mikan stops crying and looks up at me.
"But... i don't want to see her sad... i don't want her to hate me..." She looks at Rachel who is not far from us. "What do i do?"
We will get her back, and we will fix this thing together, as we run to Rachel, she then gets abducted by criminals in a nearby woods. Mikan looks terrified and looks at the criminals with fear*
"No... Rachel! Rachel!", Mikan tries to run after the criminals and rescue Rachel. "Hey come back, you scoundrels, let our daughter go." I shout as Mikan and I keep running after the criminals. "PLEASE GIVE HER BACK! SHE IS MY DAUGHTER!!!", Mikan plead.
The criminals ran into the nearby forest seemingly disappearing into the trees. I curse myself for letting Rachel out of my sight but I cannot grieve now, we need to locate the kidnappers. Mikan looks at the trees in fear for Rachel.
"No... Rachel! Rachel!", Mikan cries out calling, running after the criminals and rescue Rachel. She continues to run forwards towards the trees* Mikan then, saw strands of blonde hair behind, the trails leads to a nearby cabin as Mikan tells me of this discovery. Mikan heads to the cabin and tries to open the door. "Wait Mikan don't open it, it is probably booby trapped."
"But... Rachel is in there...", Mikan is panicking, thinking about what might have happened to Rachel. Don't worry i have an idea, Mikan, use the back door instead. Mikan nods and goes to the back door and tries to open it.
"Wait till I give the signal.", I tell her as I snuck in from the roof. Mikan waits for the signal from you and is getting anxious and impatient. I then toss a smoke grenade into the room, and I sneaked in and eliminated the men one by one, as I signalled Mikan, with short light flashes to get Rachel out of here.
She understands and takes a deep breath before running into the cabin and going to rescue her. "R-Rachel...!? R-Rachel?? Are you here my baby?" Mikan sees Rachel lying on a bed, tied with cuffs, that Mikan couldn't unlock so she quickly gets her out of the cabin.
Mikan hugs Rachel tightly, relieved that she is back, "Baby... I got you!!! Thank god you're safe... thank you so much... thank you..." Mikan kisses her on the cheek and looks at her with tears in her eyes. "But... what were they after and why did they come into this cabin...? Why did the criminals kidnap you?"
Rachel says that she overheard them, of a plan to eliminate Abraham Gray, her guardian father by kidnapping her to draw him in for the kill. "Abraham!? Oh no... i'm so worried... what are we going to do??..."
Mikan starts panicking again. "Oh no. Abraham, please don't get hurt..." As the smoke clears, I have already taken care of most of the criminals, except a handful left which they saw Mikan carrying Rachel, and they began to give chase as I told Mikan to run. "Mikan, take Rachel and run as far as you can!" Mikan looks behind her and sees the criminals chasing them. "We need to run, Rachel... we need to run!"

Mikan continues to run as she dodges the gunshots while carrying Rachel on her arms. "Oh god... please don't hit Rachel... please..." Mikan looks back at the criminals and screams, "STOP SHOOTING! SHE'S JUST A SMALL CHILD!!!"
But she comes to a dead end to which they threw a rope trap which made Mikan fall. "Oh god..." Mikan falls to the ground together with Rachel and is pulled by the rope. "R-Rachel... hold on tight to me..." Mikan covers Rachel tightly to her chest as they are dragged* The men demanded that she give them the child.
Mikan hugs Rachel tightly. "You are not taking my daughter away from me! Back off!" She looks at Rachel. "Baby hold on tight... i'm not going to let them take you away no matter what..."
Then, the men started kicking Mikan, but she endures the pain with the sole intention of protecting Rachel. Mikan gets beat up by the criminals, she endures the pain for her daughter's safety. "Rachel... please don't be scared... I'll protect you..."
Mikan shouts at Rachel and she gives Rachel a reassuring smile despite the beatings from the criminals. Rachel could not bear seeing her mother getting beaten up, " so she cried for them to stop, "Stop hurting my mother!"
The criminals laugh and continue to beat her up as Rachel starts crying. "Mama... oww... i'm scared!" Mikan doesn't want Rachel to see her hurt even though she wants to cry too. "Shh... don't cry Rachel... i'll be okay. Don't worry" She smiles at Rachel despite her pain.
Then the men kicked Mikan away from Rachel and retrived the little girl. Mikan winces in pain as she took a heavy beating to the stomach. "R-Rachel... Argh! I'm not letting you take her!" She gritted her teeth and stood up wobbling before rushing towards the one of the men, slamming him and recover Rachel in her arms. Mikan saves Rachel from the criminals and hugs her tightly. "M-Mommy did it, baby... I would never let anything happen to you."
Mikan is still injured and bleeding, but she knows that they have to keep moving to avoid getting recaptured. "Now, lets get out of here... can you walk with me baby? Don't hurt yourself..." Mikan helps Rachel to stand up.
The man then says that he will shoot Mikan if she doesn't give up the child now. Mikan looks at the man and shouts at him, "No you don't! You're not going to shoot me or my daughter! Not on my watch!"
Mikan looks at Rachel. "Baby, follow me... we're getting out of here now" She hugs Rachel and tries to run away with her. He then fires a shot to which it hit Mikan's shoulder as she collapses to the ground. Rachel who was unharmed crawl next to her, begging her mother to get up. "Mama... please get up... i'm scared... You have to..."
Mikan can't move anymore, she's severely injured on the ground and bleeding. "I can't...", she whispers in pain.
"You... have to save yourself, okay Rachel?" Mikan closes her eyes as tears roll down her cheeks, "I'm so sorry, my baby girl..."
With the kidnappers coming close, Rachel was torn of leaving Mikan behind, and couldn't bring herself to leave her mother behind, and wanting to stay with her till the end.
Mikan tells her that she has to if Rachel gets caught, she would have failed in protecting her, "Rachel... don't do this... i'm in too much pain... i can't get up anymore... you have to save yourself...", Mikan struggles to stay awake while weakly saying her last words. "Please Rachel... run... leave me...", Mikan closes her eyes. "I'm so tired... i can't get up...", she passes out from the pain and blood loss
"I am so sorry mother, please you have to get up, don't leave me." Rachel pleads and shakes her mother hand, hoping she will wake up. Mikan remains unconscious, she can't hear her daughter's words as blood drips from her nose. "M... mother..." Rachel looks up at her mother with tears in her eyes. "Please... get up... i can't run away without you..."
Despite the looming danger coming, she hugs her unconscious mother tightly and wish that she had listened to her apologies and all this could have been avoided. "Mother, I'm so sorry, I will listen to you, I promise. I love you mama... please.. don't leave me."
The man is about to fire another shot until I shot the man down and immediately knock him out cold. Mikan remains unconscious but the sound of the gunshots makes her open her eyes and she tries to stay awake. She sees the man passed out on the ground and looks at her daughter, who is hugging her tightly. "R-Rachel?"
She tries to speak but it hurts and she winces. I arrive to tend to Mikan and Rachel who my daughter is begging Mikan to be safe and okay.
Mikan looks at me. "Abraham, you... are here. Thank goodness. And Rachel... is safe." Mikan smiles weakly, she's in pain and is trying hard to stay conscious. "I'm right here, baby... i love you so much... i'll never leave you... not when we are together..." as she kisses Rachel on the cheek and smiles as she strokes her hair.
"Mikan, it is okay I won't let you die.", as I gently held Mikan's hand and Rachel's. "Don't worry, your mother will be alright." Rachel smiles and hugs her mother as she starts to cry. "Mama... i love you.."
Mikan hugs back tightly and kisses her on the cheek. "I love you too, my little angel... thank you for not leaving me..." She starts to tear up as she hugs Rachel, "I'm sorry for letting you get kidnapped...", Mikan says.
"I am sorry too, for letting you handle the kidnappers chasing you, I am an incompetent father let alone a guardian." Rachel looks at you and smiles."But Papa... you and my mom save me... you are my hero..." She hugs you tightly, and thanks me, "Thank you for being here."
Mikan also looks at me and smiles weakly, "Don't say that, i know you did your best for us... you are still learning... and you are making a great progress... both you and Rachel did good. We fought and won... together..."
Mikan is still holding her shoulder that is hurting a lot after the gunshot. "Mikan, you will be okay, as I have already contacted the nearby police station to gather and apprehend the criminals as I rush Mikan to a nearby hospital with Rachel, as I help her to calm her from the pain.
Mikan smiles at me and at the police who arrived and are detaining the criminals. "I-i should be okay... i'll heal in no time..." She remains smilling despite the pain from her shoulder.
Rachel hugs me tightly, "Thank you papa..." Rachel looks at the criminals getting arrested. "Papa... those meaniees were trying to hurt us..."
"Yes, but those meanies will bother us no more, your mother really cares for you, although she may not have been with you when u were a child, she will never leave you alone ever again and loves you dearly." Mikan smiles and is relieved at the idea of never leaving her daughter alone again. "Rachel... i love you so much... i'm sorry i wasn't here for you before... i'm sorry... Just know that I really wish I could have been with you from the start."
Rachel shakes her head and sheds a tear, "It's okay mama... you are here with me now... i love you". The young blonde hair girl gives her mother a kiss on the cheek as she smiles.
"I hope that you could forgive your mother, she did what any mother would have done for their child even at the sake of sacrificing her life.", I exclaim. Rachel knows now that her mother, never once thought of ever leaving her after seeing her going through so much to protect her.
Mikan smiles and kisses Rachel's cheek and hugs her daughter closely.
"Abraham is right. I hope that you can forgive me, dear Rachel", her expressions were heard loud and clear and Rachel has already forgiven her and would like nothing more to be together with her mother and I with the time we now have.
I hug both of them together, and we will be able to repair this broken family to become whole again. Rachel looks at her father with tears in her eyes. "Papa, i'm so happy... i love you both so much..." Mikan smiles and also hugs Rachel and you, "I'm happy that we were able to fix our relationship as a family... now... we'll never be away from each other again..."
Mikan kisses Rachel on the cheek again and strokes her hair. "I am happy to see you both close again, as mother and daughter.", I said. Rachel smiles at both of you
"Papa... Mama, you two are amazing..."
Mikan smiles at her daughter, "Rachel... you are my world... the best daughter i could ask for..."
Mikan kisses her on the cheek as she strokes her hair. "Our family is finally whole again... i could never have dreamed of being this happy..."
As Mikan recovers from the hospital, things went back to normal, as Mikan and I had to continue classes in Hope's Peak academy but we would always bring Rachel along. Mikan smiles at their family being together again, "Our family has never been this happy in a long time... all thanks to this little angel here..."
Mikan points at Rachel and hugs her. "I can't believe that she is my daughter... i'm so proud of her..." Rachel also embraces her mother and smiles, and cheerfully said, "I'm so happy that we are together again!"
After Mikan was discharged and fit to return to the academy, every one of our classmates came by to check on Mikan and say hi to the little girl, Rachel who is the newest student in the class. Rachel smiles and waves at her classmates as she sits on her mother's lap. "Hello! My name is Rachel... nice to meet you!" All of our friends were estactic and could die of cuteness seeing Rachel's kind hearted nature.
Mikan smiles, "She is so polite... i'm proud of her..." I am happy that she is fitting in well, she is a very clever girl, surely from you.", as we talk together. Mikan smiles and pats Rachel.
"Yes, she is a very clever girl and I'm so glad that we get to raise her..."
She smiles as she thinks of how Rachel is growing up to be like her. "Rachel, you are such a good girl... daddy and mama would never have asked for anything more than you" Rachel expresses of wanting to become a nurse like her mother, and want to learn to help people, "I want to be a nurse like you, mom. And I want to learn from you and help people, because you and dad help lots of people, and I want to be just as helpful as you two are."
Mikan smiles brightly. "Oh Rachel, i would never want you to become something for other people but if you are happy of becoming a nurse like me then i'm going to do my best to help you achieve your dreams and goals, no matter what they are!"
Rachel smiles as Mikan holds her close, "Thank you mama". Mikan smiles and kisses Rachel on the cheek and then notices the time. "We gotta go Rachel... class is almost starting..."
She is always active in class and probably the youngest student in hope's Peak academy with extraordinary talent and learning skills, the professors think that she could be a learning prodigy. Both Mikan and I couldn't be any more proud of seeing Rachel so dedicated to learning, and picking up new things so quickly.
Mikan smiles and hugs Rachel closely as she brings her to our next class together. "You are such a smart girl... you make me and Abraham so proud..." Rachel looks up at her mother and smiles back.

There are also times where we would do things together like singing, baking a cake, visiting festivals together and even when I had to sit for an entrance exam to becoming an elite mercenary.
Mikan smiles as she helps Rachel bake a cake in the kitchen, as both of them express of baking one to wish me luck on my examination
"You really are improving so quickly... your cakes are going to become amazing in no time... I'm sure your father will love them."
Rachel looks happy as she puts the cake in the oven, "Thank you mama... I bet Dad will surely pass with this."
Her smile warms Mikan's heart, "Of course darling... you are already improving so much..." Mikan strokes Rachel's hair as they bake together.
After my successful entrance exam and a celebration of delicious cake together, we had wonderful times together as we progress through our years in the academy until we graduated, and Mikan has set up her own clinic with both of our help that she had always dreamed of, and Rachel helps her day in and out as her mini nurse assistant. Rachel is happy helping her mother.
"Mama... i'm learning so much while helping you... i love you so much". Mikan looks at her daughter, "You are doing great, Rachel..."
Mikan smiles as she pats Rachel and her cheeks. "I can't thank you and your father enough for helping me... i couldn't have done anything without you two... I was able to fulfill my dream of opening my own clinic..."
I then stopped by to bring them delicious treats after my missions, "Hi you two, interested in a little treat?" Rachel smiles and thanks her father warmly, she even try to feed me and Mikan a bite of a cupcake.
"Thank you, daddy... my favorite is the chocolate cupcakes that you got for me and mama..." Mikan smiles as Rachel mentions her favorite treat. "Mhmm, Rachel sure love your little surprises for her... we all appreciate your treats, Abraham, dear."
I brush it off, saying that the clinic was looking spectacular and that in time, Mikan and Rachel will be helping lots of people in pain and illness, "Mikan, Rachel. Seeing you two, just makes me so happy, and now working in a clinic together, just assures me that you two will be all right without any worries."
"I can't imagine life without them... it makes me so happy to have you, a husband and a father who loves us and surprise usdelicious treats after investigation work", Mikan smiles, and walks in to kiss me.
"However, I may have to leave soon, I have to work elsewhere for maybe a month or so in my work. But, don't worry, just do your best together, I will be back to you and Rachel in no time." I have to bid my family long farewells as I had to travel abroad for more advanced mercenary work but the world has been reducing in crime rates especially in our home country which makes me happy to see.
Before I leave for the door, Rachel runs to me and hugs me as I carry her. "Papa... I will miss you... come back soon so we can have our treats together..."
Mikan steps in and hugs me and her daughter as she could see her feeling a little sad for her father who is leaving. "You shouldn't worry, sweetheart... your father will be back... right Abraham dear?", Mikan kisses Rachel on the cheek and turns to me.
I pinkie promise Rachel and nod at Mikan, promising that I will return safe and that it will be all the more valuable to look forward to things that we will do together as a family when I return. "I will be home, count on it, and when we do, let's celebrate to that!" Rachel smiles and nods, "Yeah, daddy!"
It was at the airport, where my wife and child see me off, as I was on a plane heading abroad.
"I know you may miss him, but trust me, he is coming back soon...", Rachel clings onto her mother tightly.
"Papa is coming back very soon, right...?" Mikan smiles and strokes Rachel's hair. "Of course, honey... he will soon... he'll be back before you even know it..." Mikan kisses Rachel on the cheek.
"You can always call him when he is out you know... and daddy's work is really important so we should be proud of him." Rachel smiles and hugs her mother and father.
"Mama... daddy... i love you both so much! You both are my world!", Rachel gleams with a brightened glee as Mikan smiles.
"You are our world as well, my sweet angel... you and daddy are the most important people in my life... i can't imagine life without you two..." Rachel and Mikan hug each other tightly. "I want a family like ours when i grow up." Rachel smiles.
