A few of you or one of you mentioned Elizabeth and Jason having custody of Sam's daughter Scout when everything is all done with because we all know Sam is unfit to be a mother. I did state in Chapter 1 in the A/N that Scout will be mentioned in this story, but she will not be shown. Meaning, Jason and Elizabeth don't technically need to worry about custody. However, being Scout is technically mentioned, we'll say that either Jason and Elizabeth have custody or Alexis does. My apologies on not mentioning that sooner. Any questions, feel free to ask. Chapter 63
***PCPD: Jail Floor***
(Cyrus is currently in his jail cell as he has a flashback of his meeting with Martin Grey the other day)
***Flashback***
Cyrus: "I admit I'm surprised 'a guardian angel' asked you to help, Martin."
(Cyrus waves his hand in an attempt at an apology)
Cyrus: "Please know I mean no disrespect, Mr. Grey."
Martin: "Martin, please, Cyrus."
Cyrus: (nods) "Martin."
Martin: "And don't worry, Cyrus. I know you meant well." (chuckles) "Whatever you did for that person must've been nice enough. As they want to help you out."
(Martin sits down across from Cyrus in the interrogation room and he gets down to business)
Martin: "I want to hear your side of the story."
(Martin nods at Cyrus, who takes that as his cue to begin)
Cyrus: "Sam McCall reached out to me, asking for my help. When I asked her what kind of help, she stated she wanted me to kidnap 'Lizzie Baldwin'."
Martin: "Okay. What did you want in return?"
Cyrus: (raises his eyebrows) "Well, Mr. Grey, I'm a single man who gets lonely. So, I made a trade with her. A night with Miss McCall and I'll kidnap Mrs. Baldwin. At first, I'll admit I also wanted revenge against Jason Morgan. But that changed the more I got to know Elizabeth. I no longer want revenge against Morgan."
Martin: "You didn't by chance record that conversation between you and Miss McCall, did you?"
(Cyrus smirks and chuckles as he points at his lawyer)
Cyrus: "You better believe I did. I had a feeling I needed an insurance policy incase McCall decided to toss me to the wolves and save her own skin."
Martin: "Good thing because rumor has it she threw you under the bus to Scott Baldwin and Detective Falconeri. Well, she didn't give your name per se, but it's leaning in that direction."
Cyrus: (laughs) "That bitch doesn't know who she is messing with."
(Dante knocks on the door of the interrogation room and then comes into the room. Dante sits down furthest away from the door with the file on the Elizabeth Baldwin abduction. He opens the file and gets his pen and paper ready as he spoke)
Dante: "Okay, let's get started. Cyrus, you ready? Mr. Grey?"
(Both men nod)
Dante: "Why did you kidnap Elizabeth Baldwin?"
Cyrus: "Because Sam McCall asked me to and made me a deal…a night with her and I take Mrs. Baldwin. Also, at first, I wanted revenge against Morgan. That is no longer the case."
Dante: "And you didn't have a problem with taking her, Cyrus?"
Cyrus: "At the time, no, because I'm a single man. Plus, Sam made it sound like Elizabeth was a horrible woman. Once I got to know her, I realized that was the furthest thing from the truth."
(Dante nods and writes a few things down before he continues)
Dante: "Did you ask for any kind of money exchange?"
Cyrus: "No, I did not."
Dante: "You must have covered your tracks well, Renault. Because I couldn't find any traces of your DNA or Sam's, for that matter. However, I did find Sam on camera for about minute when she let down her face mask. She must have been sweating as she kept wiping her face. The thing is, the camera wasn't with the other cameras. They were in your old office from when you were briefly on the hospital board. How'd you manage that?"
(Cyrus looks at Martin and says not to incriminate himself at all, to speak the truth)
Cyrus: "Sam and I used plastic gloves and made sure not to leave any traces of ourselves anywhere. Another thing that Sam doesn't know is that my office camera is active at all times. Even though I'm no longer on the hospital board, I'm still able to have someone make sure that the camera is still active."
(Dante nods and writes a few things down)
Dante: "Did you, by chance, record Sam during your one-on-one before you kidnapped Elizabeth?"
Cyrus: "You better believe I did as I needed an insurance policy just in case she decided to sell me out, which she did, it sounds like."
Dante: "DA Scorpio is going to want that recording."
Cyrus: "It's in a safe place until it's needed."
Dante: "Okay, I'll give this all to DA Scorpio. If he needs anything else, I'll let you know. If not, we'll see each other at the trial."
(Cyrus nods. Martin nods at his client)
Martin: "You did your good deed. Now, if you hold up your end of the deal, there is a possibility of a lighter sentence."
(Cyrus shakes his head as he spoke)
Cyrus: "Whatever happens, I deserve it, Martin. Thank you, though."
***End of Flashback***
Cyrus: "We will see what happens. I know I will get what I deserve, though."
***GH***
(Monica is currently in her office going over some paperwork when there's a knock at her door. She tells the person to come in. Door opens, revealing Dante)
Dante: "Hi, Monica. Are you busy?"
Monica: "No, just catching up on some paperwork. What can I do for you?"
Dante: "Being you're Chief-of-Staff, I hear you know more about the basement sub-laboratory that's thirty floors down. Want to tell me more about it?"
Monica: (nods) "Sure. Pull up a seat. There is an elevator that goes thirty floors down to what is called the basement sub-laboratory. Helena Cassadine used it years ago for personal reasons. I found out the cameras no longer work."
Dante: "Cyrus Renault told us that in his old office, he had a camera installed as well as in the elevator that leads to the basement. Because it's an ingoing police investigation, I can't tell you what was shown. Let's just say the perpetrator was caught on camera."
Monica: "Okay, thanks for letting me know."
(Dante leaves)
***A Few Hours Later***
(Now that everything was somewhat back to normal, it was time to tell Danny the truth about his biological father. Jason, Elizabeth, Franco, and the boys are all at Elizabeth and Jason's house. Jason had already called Alexis and explained that he wanted to tell Danny about Franco being his biological father)
(Alexis asked Jason if Sam knew all of this? Jason told her yes, but she wasn't happy about it. Sam didn't want it to happen. Alexis agreed with Jason that it needed to be dealt with. Alexis would bring Danny to Elizabeth and Jason's)
(Alexis went to Sam's penthouse. Sam answered the door)
Sam: "What are you doing here?"
(Alexis raises her eyebrows and speaks in a serious tone)
Alexis: "You know what. It is time Danny knows the truth. If you're not going to tell the truth, Jason, Elizabeth, and Franco will."
Sam: (shakes her head) "Why do you have to take everything away from me?"
(Alexis walks in)
Alexis: "Blame yourself. I'm tired of listening to your rants and excuses."
Sam: (sighs) "Did I say you could come in?"
Alexis: "Oh, Sam, grow the hell up. Put your son first for a change."
(Sam scoffs as she turns away)
Sam: "Danny is upstairs. I'm sure you or Jason will take him for the night after he tells him the truth."
Alexis: "I know Cameron, Jake, and Aiden enjoy his company. Elizabeth and Danny get along, too. Either me or Jason will bring Danny tomorrow."
(Alexis walks upstairs and has Danny pack an overnight bag. Afterwards, they leave for Jason and Elizabeth's house)
***Jason and Elizabeth's House***
(Alexis drops off Danny. Jason and Elizabeth thank Alexis before she leaves. Jason, Elizabeth, Franco, and the boys are now prepared to tell Danny the truth. Danny is excited to see his brothers and Mommy Elizabeth. Danny and Elizabeth share a hug)
Danny: "I missed you guys."
Jason: "We missed you, too."
(Danny sees Franco and shows a confused face)
Danny: "Who's that?"
(Jason, Franco, and Elizabeth face each other and all agree that Jason should tell Danny the truth. Everyone else can offer words of comfort and helpful words when needed. Jason brings Danny to the couch. They sit down. Everyone else sits down where there's room)
Jason: "I want to tell you first that your mother loves you very much."
Danny: (shakes his head) "It doesn't feel like she does."
Liz: "In her own way, she does, honey. A mother always loves her child."
(Danny looks at Franco again)
Danny: "What does this have to do with that man?"
Jason: (sighs) "Before you were born, your mom slept with that man and me. Your mom never told me, so I always thought I was your true father."
Danny: "When did you find out you weren't my real dad?"
Jason: "A few months ago. We needed to take care of a few things. We were planning on telling you Monday evening. But Mommy Elizabeth got taken, so we couldn't."
Danny: (in a scared voice) "Who took you, Mommy Elizabeth? Are you okay?"
Liz: (nods) "I'm okay now. I was in the hospital for a little over a day."
Danny: (to Jason) "Do you know who took Mommy Elizabeth?"
Jason: "We think we do. We won't say who, though, as we need what is called evidence against the person." (nods) "Now that Mommy Elizabeth is home safe, we can finally tell you who your real dad is, your biological dad."
(Danny looks at Franco and had a feeling. Elizabeth looks between Danny and Franco)
Liz: "Danny, have you ever seen this man before?"
Danny: "Yes, but mom always told me to stay away from him." (confused) "Is he my real dad?"
Liz: "Yes, honey, he is."
(Jason and Elizabeth nod at Franco to go ahead. Franco readjusts himself and offers a smile as he spoke)
Franco: "My name is Franco Baldwin, Danny. I didn't know I was your biological father until a little while ago. I know that you consider Jason your dad and I would never interfere with that. But I just want you to know I'm here for you, too…if you'll let me be."
(Danny nods in response before facing Jason)
Danny: "Did mom know that Franco was my dad all along?"
Jason: "I don't think she knew all along. She knew for a while, though."
Danny: (frustratedly) "Why doesn't mom tell the truth?"
(Jason shakes his head as he faces the young boy he considers his son)
Jason: "I don't know. I wish I knew."
(Danny nervously faces Jason, Franco, and Elizabeth)
Danny: "Does this mean I have to call Franco 'Daddy'?"
Liz: (shakes her head) "Not if you don't feel comfortable doing so, sweetie."
Franco: (nods & smiles) "I'm fine with you just calling me Franco. Someday, if you ever feel like calling me Daddy Franco, that's cool. But you don't have to. Whatever you feel comfortable with."
(Danny nods and smiles politely)
Cameron: "We're here for you, Danny. No matter what. You're our brother."
Jake: "You're family to us."
(Danny hugs his brothers. Danny faces Jason, Elizabeth, and Franco)
Danny: "Can I go upstairs with my brothers?"
Liz: (smiles) "Yes, you can. We'll let you know when supper is done."
(After the boys go upstairs, Franco speaks)
Franco: "Thank you for that."
Liz: (nods) "We'd do anything for Danny and you're a part of his life."
Franco: "Thank you for your help."
(Franco makes his exit)
Jason: "How do you think that went?"
Liz: (nods) "Better than I thought it would."
(Jason helps his girl finish supper)
