Chapter Thirty: Dissed

After all the dancing they did, Amber and the others all sat down on the couch to chat. Liv had gotten hungry and decided to grab food from the kitchen. She was chomping on some chips. Mindy had taken her make out partner into the bathroom where they had sex. She came out with a smile on her face. Was well worth coming to the party. She's on the couch now. Mike sees Chad standing by the kitchen watching Liv and comes up with an idea. He leans over to Nathan and speaks to him.

"Hey." Mike whispers. Nathan leans over to him to hear what he had to say. "Wanna have some fun?" He asked smirking. Both looked over at Chad staring at Liv. Nathan smiled mischievously.

"Hey Chad come here." Nathan called to him. Chad moves towards him.

"Sup?" Chad asked.

"You know what I heard?" Nathan asked. Chad shrugged. Mindy turned her head listening suspiciously. "I heard Liv telling another girl that she does like you but she's just playing hard to get."

"What? She does?" Chad asked excitedly. Mindy frowned.

"Yeah." Nathan confirmed.

"But why does she keep turning me down and acting like she doesn't want me?" Chad asked.

"She's fucking with you. It's her way of testing you to see how badly you want her." Nathan said.

"Wait a minutes. Are you sure she said she wanted me and was playing hard to get?" Chad asked skeptical about this.

"I'm sure she wants you." Nathan said. "You should go over to her and ask her out." He said.

"Cool." Chad said deciding to go over to Liv. "Hey Liv." He said. The others watched anticipating another embarrassing moment for Chad. Mindy looked over at Nathan and Mike suspiciously.

"What do you want Chad?" Liv asked.

"I wanted to let you know that I get it." Chad said.

"Get what?" Liv asked confused.

"I get that you're playing hard to get. I'm right here baby. You don't have to play. Let's say we go out on a date. Say tomorrow night?" Chad asked confidently.

"Are you out of your mind?! I will never go out with you, you fucking psycho loser! Stay the fuck away from me!" Liv shouts at Chad who looks on confused.

"But Nathan said.." Chad said being cut off.

"They were fucking with you dumbass. You honestly think I want you? You're a fucking freak. You and your sister. News flash, I wouldn't be caught dead with you! Just fuck off!" Liv said angrily. Perhaps her hurtful words will finally get through to Chad and he would finally get the message. Nathan and Mike were laughing hard at Chad. Stacy looked in feeling bad for him. Amber smirked. Chad walked away hurt.

SMACK! Mindy's hand met Nathan's face. He was shocked.

"Fucking jackasses." Mindy said having stood up from the couch and walked away from the living to follow her brother. "Liv you're a bitch. Go fuck yourself." She walked away. Liv stuck up her middle finger. Mike continued laughing having thoroughly enjoyed watching Chad make an ass of himself.

Gale sat outside of the hotel room listening to Billy and Sidney have sex. The two couldn't help it considering what has transpired in the last forty-eight hours or so. At one point Sidney was mad at Billy for having cheated on her over two decades ago and now they were in the thralls of make up sex. This was something she and Dewey used to do.

Dewey. Her mind wondered to her deceased husband. She missed him terribly. He wasn't perfect but he was good man. A brave man. He gave his life to protect those he cared about. This was what she loved about him. It's this quality that made him the man he was. She sees these same qualities in their son Gabe. She smiled choosing to remember him the way he was before his death.
