Uncle Chuck at first hadn't trusted Shard since he had been the same robot that had tried to kill his nephew in the past. But overtime he had proven to be a valuable ally. So, Uncle Chuck was surprised when Shard came to him with an old Auto-automaton.
"Why did you bring this here." asked Uncle Chuck.
"I want you to rebuild her. She can be a huge help." said Shard.
"Well, I do have some parts from Metal Tails and Metal Amy lying around, but are you sure she can be trusted?" asked Uncle Chuck.
"She wants a second chance, she doesn't care about Robotnik anymore." Shard explained.
"You just want a family, don't you?" said Sonic's Uncle.
"Am I really that easy to read?" Shard asked sheepishly.
"Well, I just couldn't help but notice how you reacted whenever anyone mentioned their lives outside of the Secret Freedom Fighters." explained Sonic's Uncle.
"Please don't tell anyone." said Shard.
"Don't worry I won't."
Meanwhile in Twinkle Park
Shirou and Fiona walked through the amusement park as Fiona was lost in thought.
"Oh, Sonic why did I give you up?" Fiona thought to herself as she looked at a game stand with Sonic plushies hung up on the ceiling.
Shirou however misinterpreted this.
"Do you want one?" he asked her causing Fiona to blush.
"What? No!" she sputtered out in embarrassment.
"Oh, come on! I can win it for you!" Shirou said enthusiastically.
"Whatever, fine." Fiona shrugged after all it's not like anyone ever won those games.
As they walked on over there Shirou grabbed the darts with a grin on his face. Fiona then gazed in disbelief as Shirou got a balloon with each dart. She was then handed the Sonic plush.
"Here you go little lady." said the man working at the stand.
She was now blushing while walking next to Shirou and holding the Sonic plush that was the same size as her body.
"What are you looking at?" Fiona said to the Sonic plush with the stupid grin on it's face.
Fiona then saw something that caught her eye.
"Shirou let's go in there!" she said excitedly.
"A photo booth?" asked Shirou.
"Yeah, trust me it'll be fun!" said Fiona as she pulled him to the photo booth.
After a few minutes the pictures came out. The first one showed Fiona making Bunny ears behind Shirou. The second picture was of Fiona kissing Shirou on the cheek. The next was of Fiona doing a sexy pose while holding the Sonic plush with Shirou looking at her. And the final picture had Fiona sitting on Shirou's head with her fluffy tail hanging over his face.
Later
They were now in a Karaoke Bar, something that was common due to the resurgence of 90s culture on Mobius.
Shirou was watching as Fiona finished singing Baby One More Time by Britney Spears. She seemed to be really into it. It was good to see that she was happy.
(Fiona's POV)
She got ready as the next song came on, Far Away by Nickelback.
"This time, this place misused mistakes. Too long, too late who was I to make you wait." she went with the lyrics as she thought of a love lost.
"Just one chance just one breath just in case there's just one left. Cause you know, you know, you knoooooow! I love you, I've loved you all along and I miss you, been far away for far too long. I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go. Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore!" she continued to sing as she got lost in the music.
"On my knees I'll ask last chance for one last dance. Cause with you I'd withstand all of Hell to hold your hand." She looked at the audience wishing Sonic was there.
"I'd give it all I'd give for us, give anything but I won't give up cause you know, you know, you knoooooow! I love you, I've loved you all along and I miss you, been far away for far too long. I keep dreaming you'll be with me and you'll never go. Stop breathing if I don't see you anymore. So far away, so far away, been far away for far too long." she continued to sing.
"But you know, you know, you knoooooow! I wanted, I wanted you to stay. Cause I needed, I need to hear you say 'I love you, I've loved you all along and I forgive you for being away for far too long' so keep breathing cause I'm not leaving you anymore. Believe it, hold on to me and never let me go. Keep breathing cause I'm not leaving you anymore." She then repeated the last two sentences a few more times as the song ended.
She then realized she was crying. She then walked off the stage and went back to sitting next to Shirou.
"Are you okay?" Shirou asked her and placed a hand on her shoulder as he noticed the tears.
"Why am I falling for him?" she thought to herself.
Ending Short: Doubt
Rouge was at Angel Island looking at Knuckles from the trees and he looked completely miserable. She knew he was upset over the loss of his people, sure Julie-Su being gone meant that she could have Knuckles all to herself but she still felt bad for Knuckles. She landed behind him and got his attention.
"Knuckles?" she asked.
"What is it? I've had a bad couple of days, I wiped out an entire species." said Knuckles.
"I'm sorry about what happened to your people. I just came to let you know that I'm here for you." she said.
Knuckles however just seemed to become angrier.
"Stop pretending to care about me!" he yelled at her.
Everything went quiet as slowly tears started to come out of Rouge's eyes and she realized she was crying. She then slapped Knuckles across the face.
"Fine, be that way, you deserve to be alone!" she yelled before she flew off with tears in her eyes.
Extra Ending Short: Auto-Fiona
Tails was at home when he heard the doorbell ring. He went to the door and then opened it to find a robot fox. It had a clearly feminine design and a red color scheme and blue electronic eyes akin to the Metal Series.
"Who are you?" asked Tails in fear.
"Don't you remember? The moments we shared on the island together?"
She was back. Tails felt like he was in a nightmare. He started to back away.
"No, wait I'm not gonna hurt you. I don't care about Robotnik anymore. I just want to be with you Tails." said Auto-Fiona as she held his hands.
Tails looked at her hesitantly before he spoke.
"I'm sorry but I don't have feelings for you anymore."
At hearing this Auto-Fiona went silent.
"All this time the only thing that kept me going was thinking that some day I'd be able to be with you again. Now I can't even have that!" she then burst into tears and ran away.
