Shirou and Fiona were returning from a job, gathering intel on a newly formed Dark Egg Legion chapter. They had discovered that the base was an outpost in an isolated village in the mountains and led by two pronghorns. As they wandered through the forest they came across a skunk and a black and white cat.
"Oh, it's you." said Geoffrey St. John with a scowl.
"Well, if it isn't Pepe Le Pew himself." Fiona quipped.
"The fuck did you just call me, traitor?!" shouted Geoffrey angrily.
"You're one to talk. You sold out to Naugus!" Fiona retorted.
"Well, at least I felt regret and tried to minimize the damage he caused, that's why I was pardoned after Elias retook the throne. You on the other hand were just fine with your Boyfriend's plan to bomb the city. Did you even think about the civilians that would've been killed? You fucking maniac!" Geoffrey remarked harshly.
"How did you know?" asked Fiona in shock.
"I'm a spy luv, did you really think something like that would happen without me catching wind of it? It also helped that Tails' evil double turned on you the first chance he got." He said with a cocky smirk.
"And now that you're all alone with nowhere to crawl to you hide behind a filthy overlander." finished Geoffrey glaring at Shirou who glared back.
"Goeffrey, that's enough!" Hershey reprimanded.
"I'm sorry about Geoffrey, he's just bitter after what happened with Naugus. I know of how you've been trying to change Fiona and I'm proud that you're trying to make up for your crimes." said Hershey apologetically.
"He was right about me though. At the time I didn't care about who got hurt on my path of revenge. I was like a rabid animal. I was so vindictive that I even blamed Sonic for the Suppression Squad's mutiny even though it was obvious that they were gonna turn on me and Scourge eventually." Fiona admitted sadly.
Then the conversation was interrupted by a mechanical screech. "It's all your fault!"
"Oh, now what?" muttered Geoffrey.
Then a robotic version of Fiona tackled the real Fiona to the ground.
"Fiona!" shouted Shirou as he moved to intervene but he was stopped when the robot's fist detached and fired off like a rocket and punched him in the face before it reattached.
"Tails doesn't love me anymore, because of what you did to him!" shouted Fiona's robot copy.
Fiona kicked the robot off of her.
"So, you're that robot that Robotnik made? Wait, you actually liked Tails? Also weren't you an exact robot duplicate of me before, why do you look like metal me?" asked Fiona.
The robot lunged at her but Fiona managed to dodge.
"You have no idea what it's like to not be able to be with the one you love!" shouted Auto-Fiona.
"Actually, I do." answered Fiona.
"W-what?" asked Auto-Fiona as her eyes switched from red to blue.
"When I left Sonic for Scourge it was the worst mistake of my life. The more I think about it, the more I realize that me and Sonic were perfect for each other, he was my other half. But now I can't be with him again because he got engaged to Sally." Fiona explained sadly.
Then suddenly Tails and a Sonic robot landed nearby.
"Is everyone okay?!" asked the Sonic robot.
"We're fine but who are you?" asked Shirou as he got up rubbing his face.
"The Tin-can's name is Shard, Sonic's Uncle Chuck built him out of Metal Sonic parts." said Geoffrey.
"Fiona, I thought about it and I'll try to make it work." Tails said to the robot copy of Fiona.
"You'd do that for me?" said Auto-Fiona as she turned to look at Tails.
"I-I will, if it means that much to you." said Tails.
"Oh, Tails." she said as she walked up to him.
"I'm sorry, Fiona I was being unfair to you." said Tails.
"Tails, don't call me Fiona anymore. I'm my own person." said Auto-Fiona with resolve.
"Call me Echo." she finished.
New Mobotropolis Detention Center
The Destructix had recovered from their injuries after a few months. Simon had recovered the fastest and was now currently doing pushups. Lightning was punching a sandbag with Sonic's face on it. Predator was stretching his wings. Flying Frog was climbing all over the walls and ceiling, gliding around his cell and sometimes even licking the forcefield keeping him in, his behavior in particular unnerved the guards.
Today seemed the same as usual, the guards would do the rounds, prisoners would shout the occasional insult, but then suddenly the power went out and the force fields went off. All the prisoners escaped from their cells. Sergeant Simian knocked two guards heads together, Lightning Lynx punched another repeatedly, Flying Frog latched onto a guard's face while Predator Hawk kicked another.
As they fought their way towards the entrance someone kicked the door open. Simian's eyes narrowed at a familiar green hedgehog.
"Hey guys! No hard feelings, right?" said Scourge.
Simian grabbed Scourge by the jacket.
"Now what's to stop me from ringing your neck?" said Sergeant Simian.
"Because I helped break you out." said Scourge.
"So, you were involved with what happened with the lights?" asked Simian.
"Let's just say I have some friends in high places." answered Scourge.
Simian raised an eyebrow at that. Although Simon could be hard-headed at times, he certainly wasn't stupid. Scourge was self-centered so he wouldn't come back to rescue them without some ulterior motive. If he had to guess he needed them in case he was betrayed by his new allies. He would need more information before making his move and killing Scourge.
"And what about Fiona?" asked Sergeant Simian.
"She didn't want me anymore. Last I saw her she was in Empire City. For all I know she suckered some rich overlander with a mobian kink just to get by." said Scourge dismissively.
Then Scourge turned to see what looked like a Metal Sonic robot flying towards him.
"Shit!" shouted Scourge as he had a bad track record when it came to fighting Sonic robots.
Then they were enveloped in a mist as they disappeared, leaving a confused Shard.

It was an ordinary day in New Mobotropolis Sally was talking to her friend Nicole.
"I still haven't gotten used to being a robian, I miss being able to eat and sleep among other things. But I miss being able to feel." said Sally.
"I wonder what that must feel like?" said Nicole.
Sally then went quiet for a moment in thought.
"What do you think about Fiona?" asked Sally.
"Well, I want to believe she's changed even after everything she's done. Maybe she just didn't know the Baron was Bunnie's Uncle." said Nicole.
"And what about her partner?" asked Sally.
She had heard from some of the others that Fiona now worked with a partner that was apparently an overlander, one who could use magic to create weapons out of thin air. He was a mystery. Apparently, Shadow was familiar with the man. Maybe she could ask him about it sometime.
"I don't know what to make of him." said Nicole.
Then suddenly what looked like a Death Egg appeared in the sky above the city. Then Nicole started glitching out.
"Nicole what's happening?!" cried Sally to her longtime friend.
"I-I think I'm being hacked! Not again! Not a-." Nicole was cut off as she went offline.
"Nicole?! Nicole!" shouted Sally.
Then the city's power shut off causing panic in the streets. Sally then saw Egg Gunners landing in the streets. She flew with her thrusters and landed on the pavement below. She then activated her arm blades and went into combat against the Egg Gunners, she was then joined by Shard who fired with his arm cannon. The two worked together as they fought the robots.
"I noticed Scourge getting in the Detention Center and he was with the Destructix. Then they just vanished in a puff of smoke." said Shard.
"What was Scourge doing here?" asked Sally.
Then suddenly and unexpectedly the enemy robots began to withdraw. A confused guard looked around as the enemy left.
"Hey, what the hell?!" said Shard as he looked up.
Sally followed and noticed that just as suddenly as the Death Egg had appeared it had vanished. Then the power went back online and Nicole reappeared next to her.
"Is everyone okay?" asked Nicole in concern.
The attack was suspiciously short. The Prison Break happening at the same time seemed too convenient to be a coincidence. Was Scourge appearing somehow connected to this? What was going on here?
Ending Short: Innocence Lost
The Eggmobile was giving off plumes of smoke as it veered out of control. It headed towards a mountain range. It crashed through multiple pine trees as it lost altitude.
"I *pfft* hate that hedgehog!" shouted Eggman as he spit out pine needles.
Then the Eggmobile crashed on the outskirts of a secluded mountain village.
When the Doctor regained consciousness he was being poked with a stick by a young blind girl. She was a pronghorn wearing a tunic.
"Cassia stop poking the stranger." said an older pronghorn girl who was similarly dressed in a tunic.
"I'm sorry about my sister Cassia. She lost her eyes to a strange disease that was unknown to the healers. Please forgive her." said the older pronghorn apologetically with a nervous smile.
Eggman looked at them with a puzzled expression. Anyone who recognized him would be screaming and running away by now.
"Who are you?" asked Eggman.
"I'm Clove, the Chieftainess of this village. It's nice to meet you sir." said the older pronghorn.
"Do you know who I am?" asked Doctor Eggman curiously.
"No, but should I?" asked Clove in confusion.
Oh, this was too good to be true. He was going to take full advantage of their ignorance with a simple ruse to gain their trust.
"Well, you see I am Doctor Eggman a famous inventor known throughout the World." Eggman began to lie with a half-truth.
Ending Short: Fear and Anguish
Betty Butterfly had been one of the lesser-known residents of Knothole. Because she was small and fragile she had been very shy and only interacted with Sonic and later Hope and Fiona after they came. But then Hope eventually left to spend time in the United Federation. She would also later hear from Sonic that Fiona had betrayed them and left them for Scourge. Why were all of her friends leaving her?
Now today she was helpless as she watched everyone she knew seemingly die as Knothole was destroyed. Now she was scared and alone as she fled into The Great Forest.
