Olivia Benson's fight to be a present parent seems to be all but a giant failure and Noah at 14 is sure to not let her forget it. Against all of her best efforts, Olivia cannot figure out where she went wrong or why her son seems to resent her so much. She learns he is failing at school, falling in to the wrong crowd and she would do anything for her little boy to come back to her.

Benson is called to a crime scene in the middle of the night to the murder of a young girl, the 5th in the space of a month all seem linked in some way but its a mystery as to how. there is also the small matter of trying to keep her blossoming relationship with Stabler a secret from the department for the time being

When Calvin is removed from Olivia's care, Elliot is left feeling helpless as he watches his partner grow ever more despondent. Desperate to help her, he learns that there are more ways than one for a heart to be broken. In the aftermath of her health crisis, Olivia will need Elliot more than she ever has before. Will she let him in? Just what will it take to heal a broken heart?
