When Charlie introduced her girlfriend there was a swirl of thoughts going through his head. All of them surrounding the phantom like halo over her head. A sight he's only noticed for himself in a mirror. He's learned over the years that only he himself could see his own so the woman in question probably didn't even know it existed herself. Since when has there been another fallen angel in hell? He was supposed to be informed when someone falls so he could help them adjust to their new surroundings so why was he never told about the woman that stands in front of him? And she was dating his daughter too so did she even know? Unfortunately he did look to the halo before catching himself. He quickly fixed his gaze to, what was her name, Maggie? Chaggie? Raggie? He didn't quite catch what his daughter called her but he decided to ignore the halo situation until another time. Of course being caught so off guard did make his mind blank on what to do in response to the introduction and he admits the whole, 'you like girls?! Me too?!' thing was a bit embarrassing even for someone like him. Albeit out of his own reluctancy he tried his best to ignore the strong angelic aura wafting from her, but he allowed himself small glances every now and then to try and convince himself he hasn't completely lost it yet. He tried to fight the urge to say anything for the entire tour and his reconciliation with his daughter but with the other angel in the doorway it was hard to ignore the tug toward the one that captured his daughters heart. So that's why he is where he is currently.
When Lucifer had made the promise to get Charlie that meeting he had every intention to leave and do so but the angels presence made him hesitate. He could just leave right now and deal with it another time. But it was bugging him too much to leave alone. He sighed and looked to the ceiling, cursing under his breath. He could feel Charlie staring at him in confusion. "Before I go, there is one thing that I don't fully understand." The king said as he finally turned to his daughter, rubbing the back of his neck anxiously. Charlie titled her head. "Is it about the hotel? I can help clarify any questions or concerns you have if that is it." The archangel sighed and shook his head. "No it's…" he turned to look at the door, briefly making eye contact with the other angel before looking to Charlie again. "It's something that I would prefer to talk about with your girlfriend." Charlie blinked in surprise and raised a brow. In his peripheral he could see that said girl had dropped her crossed arms in surprise. She must've heard him then. "It's nothing bad Duckie, don't worry….well actually it might start good but depending on where it leads…." He paused what he was saying when he saw Charlie's worried look. "That's not helping, is it?" Lucifer asked, cringing slightly at his own lack of self control in his speaking. "Not really, no." The princess responded while rubbing her arm nervously. The king nodded and continued. "Well I promise it's not the whole 'hurt my daughter and I hurt you' speech I gave to Seviathan, that I can assure you." Charlie kinda snorted at that one. "But this is something I'd like to discuss with just her. Do you mind if we have some space to do that?" Lucifer looked to the Angel, Vaggie! That's it! Lucifer looked to Vaggie at the doorway. The angel had a brow raised in confusion and somewhat panic. Charlie turned to Vaggie herself, bitting her lip as she thought about the request. "I guess? But the minute I start seeing things go south, I'm joining in." Lucifer nodded at that. "Hopefully it won't come down to that." He then gestured for Vaggie to walk over who did so albeit with hesitance, she and Charlie exchanged looks with each other as they passed each other. With his daughter standing at the entrance of the hotel, Lucifer put a hand on the fallen angels shoulder and lead them both to the bottom of the stairs. The king looked back to the door. "That should be enough distance." He muttered to himself. The king had given the angel's shoulder a gentle squeeze in a way to try making her more comfortable before dropping his hand to his side and they both turned to look at each other.
Vaggie was nervous. Lucifer isn't usually able to read people well but the angel in front of him is not being too subtle as she thinks. Not only could he see the subtle shaking of her form but he could also see her fiddling with the hem of her skirt. Vaggie took a shaky breath before finally speaking. "What did you want to talk about, sir?" The unsteadiness of the angels voice was noticeable to even herself. Lucifer sighed, noticing her tense posture. "Ok before I start let me set the record straight." Vaggie took a breath that she held at that. "You can just call me Lucifer. Sir or Mr. Morningstar is mostly a formality and generally just makes me feel old." He jested with a smile knowing full well he is centuries old. "And this is more of a clarification topic for myself than anything else. It has nothing to do with you dating Charlie. So long as Charlie is happy, I'm happy. Hell, I'm more than happy to welcome you into the family but I understand that is a step you both need to decide on taking when you feel you're ready." His smile grew wider as he spoke. "Though I can already tell that it won't be too long until that happens with how you look at each other." Lucifer winked at Vaggie who blushed in response.
The grip on his cane tightened as he prepared himself for the actual topic at hand. "All I want to know is when and why you fell."
Vaggie flinched at the topic. Her eyes full of panic as she tried to swallow the lump in her throat. She opened her mouth to speak but Lucifer raised is hand to stop her. The king caught the angel glance to the entrance at Charlie before meeting his eyes again. "I know a fallen angel when I see one. You have the same phantom halo over your head as I do, even if you can't see it yourself, I can. I can feel your angelic aura throughout the hotel." He paused and glanced to his daughter for a moment. "Does Charlie know?" Vaggie slumps a little as she shook her head. Lucifer looked at her softly. "I can get that. It's tough to talk about the past. Especially if you just want to leave it behind. But there's more to your story, which is why you haven't told her." It was a question but he made it sound more like a statement. Vaggie bit her lip and nodded. "I was an exorcist angel." Now it was Lucifer's turn to flinch in surprise. The king remained silent to allow her to continue. "I had dozen of exterminations under my belt. Thousands of her people dead, their blood on my hands." Vaggie wrapped her arms around herself in shame. Out of the corner of his eye Lucifer could see Charlie about to walk over. The king turned to her and gestured for the princess to stop. He can handle this. He's handle enough of his own break downs on his own, he can help her if it gets that far but for now it was controlled. He then turned back to Vaggie and gestured for her to continue. "You know how she feels about the exterminations and the people of hell. I'm worried she'll hate me for what I've done in the past and for not telling her after so many years. But I'm more terrified about hurting her if she knew." A tear welled up in her eye that Lucifer quickly and gently wiped away, not letting his touch linger. The last thing the archangel wanted to do was overstep her boundaries and make her uncomfortable. "I understand. If it's any consolation, I forgive you." She looked up to him in surprise. "I know how Adam is, I know most of his exorcists aren't given much of choice in the matter. I also know that Charlie is a greatly forgiving demoness." He said with a smile. "She may be upset that you kept it a secret from her but I doubt she'd hold it against you after you explain things to her. And if anything, she'd probably take it better hearing it from you than me or anyone else." Vaggie looked up at him for a moment before her lips perked up a little.
Lucifer took a deep breath and steeled himself again. The next part of this conversation is going to rough. "I would still like to know when and how you fell. More than before now that I know about the whole exorcist thing." He waved his hands to emphasize the last part. "I know it's tough to talk about, but I think from one fallen to another, we might be able to help each other." The king glanced at the sky outside the entrance. "Especially since I suppose to be informed when another angel has fallen." He grumbled with a glare. Vaggie scoffed when she heard that. "I doubt Adam would've told anyone." Lucifer fixed his gaze on the woman again a brow raised in curiosity. "You must've done something quite horrible to warrant that kind of treatment."
A pit began to form in the kings stomach as he waited for Vaggie to elaborate. The angel just glared at the floor, her grip tightening around her biceps. "The punishment dealt was worse." She snarled. Lucifer felt his chest tighten as his breath caught in his throat. The pit in his gut grew as his grip around his cane tightened causing a bend to form along the metal stick but not enough to break it entirely. "How long ago?" He chocked out. The king knew at this point that he wasn't going to like where this is going. "3 years." She didn't hesitate with her answer. "What did you do?" Vaggie felt her stomach twist in knots while recalling the worst and best day of her life. "I cornered a kid in an alley. I couldn't bring myself to hurt him. So, I let him go. I didn't know my commanding officer was watching me…" she paused to collect herself. The devils hand was shaking the tighter he held his cane. The bent steel now becoming more prominent, on the edge of snapping. The fallen angel before him kept her gaze to the ground, the look of pain on her face made him nauseous but he swallowed it down before anything could happen. "What did they do to you?" He whispered the question with hesitance.
He was unsure if he even wanted the answer anymore. But that look on her face was something he couldn't ignore. The angel remained silent. "Vaggie." He called, feeling his anxiety and anger rise. "What did they do to you?" Vaggie took another shaky breath and looked up with what could only be described as a pitiful expression. "She cut out my eye, told me that I didn't belong in heaven and then…." She took a shallow breath before reluctantly continuing. "She ripped off my wings."
There was a loud snap and the sound of metal dropping to the floor.
Silence followed soon after.
No one moved a muscle.
Smoke was leaking through gritted teeth as an overwhelming heat encased the residents of the hotel. Alastor himself had shuddered under the intense surge of power. A guttural growl filled the room. Sharp horns stabbed through the top of the Lucifer's head, tail whipping around and his eyes glowed a harsh crimson hue. The devil could feel the fire burning his throat, threatening to escape. "They. Did. WHAT?!" He spoke slowly and sharply. Fire leaking through his gritted teeth. His voice was deep and quiet. At least he tried to be quiet but his voice filled the room causing everyone to wince at his volume. Charlie began to step forward to see if she can calm to situation, her steps small and calculated, not wanting to anger her father more. A mirage began to set in around the king of hell. The feeling was new to him. He's felt anger before but this wasn't it. This was pure. Unadulterated. Fury. Angels were cruel. He learned that eons ago. But the removal of one's wings forbidden. Banishment will look like a mercy compared to the punishment one would face should someone ever break that rule. Not that anyone has.
Until now.
Vaggie had taken a step back at the man's sudden anger. "Sir-Lucifer. Please, try to calm down. It's-" the angel attempted to reason with him but flinched under his gaze. "Nothing about they did to you is fine!" He growled. "So don't even try telling me it is when you know damn well that it's not. Cutting off someone's wings is cruel in its one right but to rip them from the skin on their back is barbaric. It is a forbidden punishment for a reason. Not even the angelic council can sentence someone to suffer that punishment." His voice radiates through the lobby. Charlie paused in her steps, eyes widening as she tried to process the meaning of his statement when a realization dawned on her.
During the first few months of taking care of her girlfriend, she noticed her unbalanced stride and slouched posture. She often bumped into things and tripped over her feet. Charlie rarely left her side to catch her when she fell because of that. As time passed, Vaggie did recover but she was still a victim of flare ups from time to time. Some days were manageable but others left her bed ridden. Charlie stayed with her on those days, doing what ever Vaggie needed and desired to help ease her pain. As they grew closer, they trusted each other more and more. Eventually her girlfriend showed her the large and jagged scars along her shoulder blades parallel to each other. The princess never asked how she got the scars out of the worry that it will bring up unwanted memories. It's why she never asked about the woman's past.
Charlie could feel a migraine set in now. 'Was….was all of that caused by losing her wings?' The thought made her nauseous. Sinners with wings are rare. Extremely rare. She's only ever two who do. And sinners would surprisingly respect the untold rule of leaving them untouched. No sinner would've done that to another sinner. The only other thing that had wings were angels like her father. Surely she's not an angel! That's impossible! Finding her in the alley immediately after extermination day is completely irrelevant to this….right?
Charlie was soon given an answer to her spiral of quarry's as her attention was brought back to the love of her (after)life and her father. "I disobeyed a direct order!" Vaggie argued. "Bull shit! You let a child go! Exorcist or not, you shouldn't have even been punished at all! Even then, your case should've been presented to the angelic council! Only they can name one fallen! Instead you lost an eye and had your wings ripped from you!" Lucifer was seething. Screw scheduling, he's willing to march up there himself and demand an audience with the angelic council and God!
"You were an exorcist…?"
Lucifer and Vaggie both flinched at the quiet question. The heat cooled off as the king calmed down slightly. Both fallen angels turned to the voice only to be met with the pain filled eyes of hells princess. She was looking between the two, pleading for one of them to explain. Lucifer's demonic features remained but he was no longer radiating the intense heat and power.
Vaggie looked to her savior with panic and regret. Panic that all of this is coming out now. Regret for not telling her sooner. The angel could only stare at her shoes. She hated that look of betrayal on her princess's face. "The day you found me I…." Vaggie trailed off as she looked for the right words to say. It wasn't necessary however as the words said by both fallen angels was finally fully processed. "You….spared someone? A child?" She asked. Her voice was soft, as were her steps. Vaggie looked up and watched as she slowly got closer. "They hurt you….for showing mercy…" Charlie now stood in front of the fallen angel. Vaggie looked into her eyes and thought her next statement carefully. "Pain is a small price to pay to try and make a change…if sparing that kid kept him alive…." she whispered, swallowing the lump in her throat. "And allowed to meet a true angel to love and hold….i'd suffer through it all over again. Because I know…" She took a deep breath.
"It will all be worth it in the end."
Silence filled the room. The king of hell briefly glanced to the hooligans that took refuge in his daughter's hotel and gestured for them to disperse. Alastor just allowed the shadows engulf him while the others looked among each other. The king heard the quiet suggestion of drinks to which the group all nodded or shrugged as they walked away from the hotel. Once they were out of sight, he turned back to his daughter(s).
Charlie brought a hand to brush Vaggie's fringe away to look at the eye patch before resting it on her girlfriend's cheek, thumb rubbing the edge of the dark grey leather. "I don't want you to bleed for me." The princess spoke in a hushed voice. The fallen angel melted into the touch. "I wouldn't want you to bleed for me either. We protect each other. Always have, always will." Charlie smiled at that. "You showed mercy. You never should've been hurt for that. You're not who you were back then. You changed for the better and I love who you are. I say that makes you my first success." Vaggie smiled as the princess pressed their foreheads together. They looked at each other with pure love and adoration. "And what a beautiful success you turned out to be." The demoness closed the distance as she brought the angel in for a soft, tender kiss. She wrapped her arms around her waist and held her closer as Vaggie rested her arms on the royals shoulders and relaxed causing both of them to release a sigh of content. When they pulled apart, the angel gave the princess an apologetic look. "I'm sorry I never told you." Charlie smiled and shook her head. "Don't be. I'm not mad, I get it." Vaggie buried her head into the girls shoulder, taking in scent of her cinnamon shampoo.
Charlie rubbed circles into her back for a while before it slowed to a stop between her shoulder blades. "Whoever did this to you is gonna pay for hurting what's mine." She growled out. Her own horns and tail making an appearance at her anger. Lucifer, who had been awkwardly watching the adorable scene before, remind the two of his presence. With a small cough, the couples heads turned to him once more, Vaggie's cheeks flushed. "I couldn't agree with you more, Duckie!" He said relatively cheerfully despite his demonic features still present.
He pulled his phone out of his pocket and scrolled through what the couple could only assume was a contact list. Once finding who he was looking for, he pressed the contact name and put his phone on speaker. While the phone ring the king turned to the two women and put a finger to his smirking lips, giving them a wink. Vaggie looked to Charlie confused to which her girlfriend shrugged in response. Eventually someone answered the phone as a female voice spoke. "What can I do for you, Lucifer?" Lucifer turned and looked up the stairs of the lobby. "Sera! Glad you could take some time from your busy schedule to answer. Listen, I need to talk to you about something, with the general and his lieutenant preferably." Vaggie's eye widened at the mention of Lute, she never gave the name or rank of her commanding officer. How in the hell did he know that it was her fault. "It's a rather important matter that really shouldn't wait. This talk should've happened years ago." He growled out the last part. Sera hummed at his tone. "I suppose I can leave some of my work to Emily, test the waters on her progress. Adam and his lieutenant should be free as well. I'll contact them and let them know." The seraphim said. "Mhm. Oh and one more thing. I'd prefer for this to be in person." A sigh could be heard on the other side of the phone. "I'll see what I can do. We should be in the normal meeting room in about 15 minutes. Until then Lucifer." Lucifer's smirk grew into a more sinister one as he turned back to his girls, his sharp teeth glistening in the light of hells blood red sky. "Great! Thank you for your cooperation, Sera! We'll see you there!" "Wait we? What do you mean-" Lucifer cut the call before she could finish her sentence before stuffing his phone back in his pocket. His face turned cold not soon after. "She'll forgive me for that later. Come on. Let's get this shit show over with." He said as he turned to walk out the door. The couple exchanged a look before following the king hand in hand.
The walk to the building was dead silent. Due to their demonic features being present, all sinners on the streets avoided the trio. The last thing anyone wanted was incur the ruler of hells wrath anymore than it clearly obviously was. They've also never seen that side of the princess before so that is anxiety inducing sight to see.
Once they were in the meeting room, the king gestured for the two of them to take a seat while he sat at one end of the table. He rested his leg on his knee, leaning to the side, elbow on the arm rest and chin resting on his cheek. The smirk from earlier returned on his face. Just as the couple took their seat next to each other, a portal opened on the other side of the room. Charlie recognized Adam and his lieutenant as they walked in and could only assume the blue skinned Angel with six wings similar to her father's was Sera. Vaggie watched Lute walk with her arms behind her back. Sera takes a seat at the other end of the table, Adam next to her while Lute stood on guard between the two. The stiff posture she had was unnerving for the fallen exorcist. Charlie felt Vaggie grip her hand tighter and turned to assess the situation. Upon seeing the uneven pattern that her chest rose and fell, the Princess moved her chair closer to her lover and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. The angel kept her gaze fixed on her old commanding officer but lean into Charlie a bit more.
Sera's eyes scanned the room before landing on the archangel. "That was quite rude of you to end the call like that Lucifer." Lucifer gave a small shrug with the smirk still on his face. The seraphim sighed at the action before looking to the princess and the ex-exorcist who had flinched under her gaze. She raised a brow at them. "I assume this is what you meant when you said we?" The king nodded. "Then some introductions are in order." Adam looked to Sera before following her gaze. He leaned forward the take in their company. Lute surveyed the room. "Greetings daughter of Morningstar. I am the head seraphim of heaven, Sera. I'm aware you have already met Adam and his lieutenant, Lute, some time ago during their last meeting in place of your father." Sera said, addressing the princess that Lucifer gushes about when he gets the chance to. Or when he accidentally calls her drunk. Mostly when he's accidentally called her drunk. Charlie nodded in acknowledgment. "I'm Charlotte Morningstar but I prefer to go by Charlie." The princess squeezed her girlfriend's shoulder and gestured to her. "This is my girlfriend-" "Holy shit! Vaggie?!" Adam suddenly exclaimed in shock and recognition, promptly cutting off the Princess as well. Vaggie's shoulders bunched up at his voice. It was made worse when she watched Lute unfold her arms, glanced at Adam before staring at her in surprise along with him. Charlie's hold on Vaggie tightened as she growled at the first man. Lucifer put his leg to the floor. Leaning forward a bit. "Ah, you remember her!" He rested his elbows on the table and clasped his hand together, resting his chin on them, his gazing hardening. "Good to know that the poor excuse of a first man and his lieutenant remember their forbidden actions." Lute looked to Vaggie, who squirmed under her stare, making the lieutenant arrogantly hold her head up high. Charlie growled at the exorcist loader then before. The sound got no reaction from the exorcist like she had hoped it would. Adam glared at the devil and opened his mouth to retaliate. "Adam," Sera spoke suddenly causing the man's mouth to snap shut. "How exactly do you know this woman?" Adam scoffed at the question. "She was one of my top girls," Vaggie flinched at that, "until she fucked up and let someone go. I had to do something about her before she could do something even more stupid." He rolled his eyes and leaned back in his chair. Sera's head snapped to him. "Why didn't you report this to me?" The man shrugged. "Wanted to save you the trouble of a useless court hearing that would ultimately still lead to her falling to hell." He claimed casually. The seraphim glared at him before addressing the lieutenant. "Did you know about this, lieutenant?" Lute shifted her arrogant posture to the militia one she tended to have. "Yes, ma'am. I dealt the punishment for her disobedience."
The head seraphim opened her mouth to speak but the low and harsh growl that bounced on the walls stopped her in her tracks. All angels turned to hells heir. The hellborn was barely holding herself back from jumping out of her chair and attacking the exorcist. She had released Vaggie when she started to feel her claws grow as to not hurt her angel. Lucifer gave his daughter a side glance before looking to the lieutenant. "That's what I figured. You, however, just saved me the trouble of telling my daughter, who is extremely protective of her girlfriend, that you were the one to hurt Vaggie in such a barbaric manner." The devil spoke darkly while allowing heat to engulf the room as it had in the hotel earlier, his daughter amplifying it the further it spread. Lute was unnerved by the temperature change but kept her ground and scoffed regardless. "What I did do was a mercy compared to what I could've done." That was not the right thing to say. Charlie rose from her seat, the chair falling back behind her, as she glared at the exorcist. Vaggie watched Charlie in awe as she stalked up to the woman. "What gives you the right…" she growled, quickly approaching her target. "To claim ANYTHING as a mercy when you have slaughtered so many without a hint of remorse or mercy." Charlie was now looming over the lieutenant. Lute silence spoke volumes to the head seraphim who decided to let this play out in order to actually get answers to her questions. Adam was still sat in his chair, unamused and overconfident.
Lute could only glare up at the princess before it suddenly became a fight to find air as her feet were lifted from the ground. The princess held her up by the neck in a tight grip. "Not even the worst of sinner and demons combined are barbaric enough to harm another in the way you have." Her grip tightened more. Sera stood from her seat in alarm as did Vaggie who ran to her side. The head seraphim held out a hand to stop a now alert Adam from standing, causing the first man to glare at her and the princess with equal intensity. Charlie brought Lute closer and felt her lip twitch at the pathetic look she was given in return. "How does it feel, knowing you are single-handedly considered more diabolical than the entirety of hell itself?" Charlie's claws began to pierce skin around the lieutenants neck as gold ichor started to drizzle onto her uniform. When she felt the familiar smooth skin grab her free hand, she loosened her grip ever so slightly. Not enough to puncture skin any deeper but still enough to deny the exorcist a chance to breathe. Lute tried to fight the strong hold but found it pointless as she kicked her feet. "Let her go, hon. You need to calm down before you do something I know you'll regret later." The voice of her lover almost convinced her to follow instructions. Until she was reminded of the injuries. "She cut out your eye and ripped off your wings." She snarled, the comment getting a rise out of the head seraphim who gave the lieutenant a look of pure disgust. "Why would I regret slaughtering her right here, right now?" Charlie asked looking to her girlfriend. "Because I know you! You hate getting into conflicts with anyone, even someone as disgusting as Valentino. Killing someone isn't something you'd do without remorse." Vaggie was right, as Charlie realized herself as her grip loosened some more with an unsure expression. "It's just not how you are, princesa. You know that as well as I do." And with that Charlie finally let go of the lieutenant who fell into a heap on the floor, coughing as she regained proper airflow.
Charlie returned to Vaggie loving gaze, ashamed at her lack of control. The fallen angel smiled and reached up to rest her hand on the princess's cheek. The hellborn was quick to rest her hand over hers and lean into the palm of her hand. "'m sorry…" Charlie murmured. Vaggie brought the demoness's other hand to her lips, placing a soft kiss on her knuckles and rubbed her thumb along them. "It's ok, amor. You pulled yourself out of it in time. Don't apologize for losing your temper, it happens to the best of us."
The princess smiled at her lovers words. "Te amo. Plus quam in universo" [I love you. More than anything in this universe.] Charlie spoke in her second tongue, causing the fallen's smile to grow wider. The Morningstar family was all fluent in Latin due to the fact that the older age of Europe spoke stories of the Bible in only Latin. The fallen angel was fluent in Spanish as it was her native tongue. So when they learned about the languages they speak in they started teaching each other their respective fluent language. It was done so they could understand one another should either of them slip into their other language whether on purpose or as an accidental habit. "Yo también te amo, princesa. Más que nada en el Cielo, el Infierno y la Tierra combinados." [I love you too, princess. More than anything on Heaven, Hell, and Earth combined.] The fallen responded in turn causing a tear to well up in Charlie's eyes. Vaggie gently and swiftly wiped them away before bringing her down for a quick peck on the lips. They stayed captivated by each other's gaze.
The scene was adorable, a testament both Sera and Lucifer actually agreed on for once. Neither wanted to interrupt their moment, even with how disgusted Sera was by the lieutenant and her general.
However as Lute finally got her breath and was able to stand once more, she looked to the scene in anger. She quickly summoned her holy sword and charged for the two. The Kings eyes widened at the sight of the blade. "Charlie!" He called out to her. The princess turned as the exorcist was near inches away from them, sword at the ready. She was quick to push Vaggie way and just barely sidestepped the attack. The sword went past her but before the exorcist had a chance to try again, she grabbed Lute by the wrist. Twisting it, the sword fell to the floor. Using the leverage she had, the princess grabbed her by the bicep and push her forward so the angel was laying on the floor with her boot heel pressing into her back to keep her from trying to get up again. Charlie growled and tightened her grip as another surge of anger rushed through her once more. Unlike when she was help by her throat, Lute had actually whimpered at the grip. With a strong pull of her arm, her whimpering turned into crying. Then there was a loud snap radiating through the room followed by her screaming. Once she quieted down to just gasps of breaths, tears running down her face, Charlie released her now limp arm with a cold expression. "I gave you a chance and you throw it away. How fucking petty are you to do something like it?" She said and crouched down to the angels level, grabbing her face and turning it to her. "You're lucky I have more control over myself as of a few minutes ago. Let this be a reminder." She harshly pushed her face away from herself and stood up again and walked over to Vaggie who had fallen to the floor at the force.
The princess offered a hand to the fallen angel who grabbed it firmly with a smile. "You ok?" The princess asked. The angel smirked and nodded, leaning closer to whisper in her girlfriend's ear. "Although, I thought we agreed to save that for when we are alone~." Vaggie was not one to usually make a joke like that but she couldn't help herself. She thought it could lighten the mood. Which it did as Charlie flushed at the comment with a smirk of her own. "Well I didn't see you complaining in the kitchen behind the bar last week~." Charlie said it so smoothly and huskily in the angels ear that she could believe that the princess had that one on the ready for longer than a week. The tone sent a shiver down her spine.
Meanwhile, the two were oblivious to Adam going to Lute's aid. He snarled and glared at them. "The fuck is wrong with you?!" He yelled, enraged that his lieutenant had been hurt so badly by the brat of the most hated being of all creation. Lucifer slammed his fist into the table in response to prevent the man from speaking further. "Control yourself, boy! She didn't break it, merely dislocated it from its socket which is an easy yet painful thing to do. She could've done far worse. Hell, if I was in her position, nothing would be able to hold me back. So I suggest you watch your tongue before make you feel more pain than what she's feeling." Adam gulped at the threat but quickly steeled himself and turned to the seraphim for support only to flinch away at the heavy glare he received. Sera turned to look to Lucifer. "Is the fallen angel the reason you called this meeting?" She questioned. The archangel nodded. "I met her earlier this evening, felt the angelic aura around her, asked her about it and found out that all this happened three years ago. Since I wasn't informed about a new fallen angel, it was fair to assume you didn't either so I wanted to bring it to your attention that not only had an angel fallen but another angel had cut out her eye and ripped the wings off her back." Sera nodded and snapped her head back to Adam again with a fiercer glare then before. "Three years, Adam? Are you kidding me?" She said through gritted teeth. "I will personally make sure that God himself is informed of this brutality. Let's see just how much he truly loves his first man." Adam flinched at the implication but nodded regardless know he couldn't do anything about that. Sera then looked to Charlie, Vaggie and Lucifer respectively. "I apologize to all three of you for this fools, idiotic actions. Rest assured this will not just fly under the radar. I shall inform you of any progress made on the matter at a later date. Anything else?"
The room was silent for a moment before Charlie spoke up. "I actually do hope to eventually speak with you the rehabilitation of sinners in order to solve the overpopulation problem without violent needs." The seraphim hummed in thought about the idea. "I will talk with your father to schedule a hearing with the full angelic council. We'll hear your case but I can't promise anything else after that." Charlie smiled and nodded in gratitude. Damn that cheered her up! Her horns and tail had even retreated while Sera spoke.
The head seraphim looked to Adam, who now had gotten Lute to her feet, as a portal formed behind her. She stepped out of the way. "It was a pleasure speaking with you Lucifer. A pleasure to meet you two as well." She spoke to the demonic audience she has while keeping eye contact. "We have reached an end to this so we're are returning back to Heaven." Adam looked around with hesitation, causing the seraphim to snarl at him. "NOW Adam." And just like that, the first man and lieutenant were scampering through the portal. Sera stood in front of the portal once more and gave a polite bow to the group before stepping through the portal herself, it quickly closing behind her. The room was left in silence as Lucifer's own anger receded along with his demonic features.
"Sooooo….who wants pancakes?!"
