Chapter 2: Meeting A Trio
Nightwing squinted his eyes as he felt a massive headache. He slowly sat up and he's in a dark weird looking place. He got up and tried to contact anyone.
"Zatanna? Robin? Tigress?"
He walked around trying to find a way out. Then he heard a tree twig snap. He turned around and got his eskrima sticks out as shadows creatures appeared. The creatures rush at him, he doge, and hit a few of the creatures. More and more kept coming. He was soon surrounded. The three strikes of lights appeared taking all the shadow creatures out. He saw three people in some sort of suit of armor. Then in a bright light their armor disappeared. The oldest is a strong brunette guy, looking serious. The second oldest is a kind looking young woman with strange blue hair. Finally the youngest is a boy with blonde hair, who has this happy go lucky aura around him.
He holds out his weapons ready to attack.
"Who are you?!"
"It's okay. We're not going to hurt you. I promise."
Dick didn't lower his guard down. His training with Batman reminded him of that.
"I'll ask one more time. Who are you?"
"I'm Aqua, and these are my friends Terra and Ven."
"Those weapons. What are they?", he said as he spotted the weapons from his dream in their hands.
"These are Keyblades. They're the only weapon that drives away the Heartless", the brunette explains.
"Heartless? You mean the shadow creatures?"
"Yes. The Heartless are mindless creatures, wanting nothing but to swallow a world in darkness. If you're here, that means your world is gone", Aqua explained.
"But my friends were with me!", he screams, refusing to believe they are gone.
"They might not be gone. They might be in Traverse Town", Ven suggested.
"Where?"
"It's a place where survivors are sent when their worlds are gone", Aqua explained.
Then Nightwing saw a Heartless creeping on Ven.
"Look out!," Nightwing yelled, pushing Ven out of the way.
The Heartless jump into the air, readying to take him down. Then a brilliant light appeared before him as it shaped into a sword that was from his dream. Nightwing destroys the Heartless.
"You have a Keyblade!", Terra said.
"You need to come with us. Master Yen Sin will explain what's happening to you and maybe find your friends."
Nightwing looks at them and hesitates to follow them.
"Look, I can see you don't trust people easily, but I promise we all know what it's like to lose our friends. I promise we'll help you find your friends", Ven said.
Nightwing looked into his eyes and found him trustworthy.
"Okay. Take me to him."
