I ended up explaining the whole truth to everyone, including Papyrus. How I was actually summoned to this world by none other than Doctor Gaster himself, mainly because I had a Knowledge soul from the original AD before the years turned to X.
"You're from that long ago?! I barely know a thing about the AD times! And I used to teach at the school!" Ceroba gawked at me.
"I thought it was called CE and the era before that was BCE?" Martlet asked, me smacking my face.
"That was because of political scientists wanting to change it to be less religious," I frowned in annoyance. I also explained to them that, when the barrier was formed, it made it so that the humans on the surface slowly started to lose their magical souls until they didn't know how to use soul powers one bit. And that, when the barrier would shatter, it'd make the world filled with magic again, which meant humans would get their magic, however small, back in their souls and that my soul specifically would be one of the strongest in the entire world, due to the backup of magic in Mount Ebott being expelled all at once.
"Wow... so it'd be bad news if that flower got your soul, even before the barrier broke," Mary gawked... and then I sighed as I then shared the final bit of news. That the flower also needed a happy ending because of one thing.
"That flower happens to be... the conscious mind of the prince," I said. And when I spoke that, Martlet and Ceroba gasped audibly while the others were confused.
"A PRINCE? THE KING HAD A CHILD AT ONE POINT?" Papyrus asked in confusion.
"Yes, he did... that flower... it was Asriel Dreemurr this whole time? B-But I was told he was the nicest monster in the entire Underground when he was alive! Why would he be so evil and nasty as Flowey?" Martlet asked in shock.
"It's because he's just like me, no soul, and therefore, without someone to be near that has a soul like his, he can't feel any emotion. He does these things to try and feel emotion, but it's twisted him... I used to be like him, but it was just depressing to me. I just gave up and didn't want to care about anything... but then I met a certain ghost," Chara said with a small tear forming from her eye... that evaporated before hitting the ground. "Napstablook is his name... he taught me how to feel emotions again... if I felt like garbage, for a brief moment, I was able to feel emotions again... and then, shortly after Scarlet appeared, I can feel even more without that crutch... if Flowey does appear again, I know he'll most likely see me and that scares me... I don't know how he'd react if he saw me, soul or no,' Chara admitted, me giving her a small hug, which she sighed at before hugging back.
"You haven't had a hug for the longest time, have you, hon?" I asked, her sniffing slightly.
"No... I haven't... I forgot how warm they feel..." she said with a sniff before I then saw that Papyrus's phone was ringing, him then gulping at that.
"UH-OH... I-I GOTTA GO TAKE THIS... I'LL GET BACK TO YOU... EVENTUALLY..." he said, me nodding as Sans then did something else and gave me the phone numbers for Papyrus, Sans, and even a phone number I didn't recognize, but given that his phone said 'doctor dino' I knew exactly who it was.
"i'd recommend getting the courage to ask the yellow one for help in the future... especially involving the human souls and the test subjects. you know what i'm talking about," Sans smiled at me.
"Uh, yeah... so, we're not going to Grillby's, then?" I asked him.
"not this time, kid. that flower is trying to spread lies about you in waterfall. and when he finishes there, hotland is up next. and we know that alphys's mindset is very fragile... if he gets to her first, then she's gonna do desperate things... don't let that happen to her, okay?" Sans asked, me nodding at him as I then gave him a thumbs-up and we proceeded to the east, no fog trap whatsoever as I then looked at the others and they looked concerned.
"So... Gaster isn't alive, then? Did he explain what happened to him at all?" Mary asked in concern.
"He's in an area known as the Void... does that ring a bell?" I asked, which Courage gasped at.
"Of course! It's basically a layer of the afterlife for those who are determined to be better off not existing, determined by the universe. If Gaster was sent there, he must have done terrible crimes or was deemed as unimportant or dangerous by the universe," he explained.
"Maybe because his power was dangerous, because... well, when Sans was going all out to capture Flowey with telekinesis earlier, his aura was amazing on its own... when Gaster was in front of me, just using a fraction of his power, it was 4 times stronger than Sans was, to the point it gave Chara a headache and made me quiver in his presence," I admitted with full honesty.
"Yeah... and while there, I felt some kind of essence there... almost as if it... it wanted me there as well..." Chara said with a shudder. And it was then that we saw Monster Kid, who I had to wonder if they had a name other than that.
"Hiya! Did you come out here to see her, too?" they asked when they saw us.
"Um, who might that be?" I asked them.
"Undyne, of course! Didn't ya hear the news? A group of humans have been spotted! I'm so hyped to see her beat up some bad guys! You want to join me? We can get front row seats!" they smirked, me nodding at that.
"Okay, let's go, then. Before that, though, what's your name? Mine's Scarlet," I smirked.
"Oh?... Um... well, my name's kind of weird, I don't know if you'd be okay with it..." they said, me sighing at that.
"Listen, I've met at least 10 different others so far that have puns for their names. I doubt yours would be that bad," I smiled.
"Well, okay... see, Asgore named me because my parents couldn't think of one... and he named me... Monster Kid," they said, me smiling at that.
"Wow, I knew he was bad at names, but that's just... wow, Asgore's so bad at this stuff..." Chara groaned out loud, which MK looked at us in confusion.
"Uh... did one of you just talk? Because I didn't see any mouths moving," they asked.
"That was uh... my ghost friend. She's very shy, though, so she never shows her appearance in front of others, always hiding in the walls. Her name is Princess," I smiled.
"Oh yeah, I heard about that name! I heard that it belonged to a human that died before the barrier was formed! I heard it from my friend Snowy," MK smirked.
"Well, let's get going, we don't want to keep Undyne waiting," Courage smiled as we then moved forward until we reached the grassy patch, where MK halted us from going forward and had us poke our heads through the grass to look up at a cliff, it being about 7 feet above us and us seeing the captain herself, her frowning at how she looked at her phone.
"Rgh... where is he? He never takes this long," Undyne groaned. And then the shadow of Papyrus showed up.
"H-HI UNDYNE! SORRY I'M LATE... I HAD SOME... ERRANDS TO RUN, YES, THAT'S IT!" Papyrus said with nervousness.
"Well, what's the status update?" Undyne asked him.
"WELL... I WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW... ABOUT THOSE HUMANS THAT I TOLD YOU ABOUT..." Papyrus said with nervousness.
"You didn't engage them, did you?" she asked, Papyrus looking at her with nervousness.
"NO, OF COURSE NOT. I'D NEVER DISOBEY AN ORDER FROM YOU, UNDYNE!... I JUST WANTED TO TELL YOU SOMETHING ABOUT THEM THAT I... OBSERVED FROM AFAR..." Papyrus said.
"And what would that be? Did they kill any monsters?" Undyne asked.
"NO, THEY DIDN'T... IN FACT... THEY SAVED MY LIFE..." Papyrus said, that making Undyne gasp.
"WHAT?!" she shouted in shock.
"I-I'M NOT LYING, UNDYNE, I SWEAR! AND IT WASN'T JUST ME WHO GOT SAVED! THE ONE HUMAN ALSO RESCUED LESSER DOG, DOGGO, CEROBA, AND MARTLET... IF NOT FOR HIM, WE'D HAVE MELTED INTO PUDDLES..." he said, which Undyne then looked at him with seriousness. "A-AND NO... I AM NOT BEING CONTROLLED. WHY WOULD I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, ALLOW ANY LOWLIFE PERSON TO CONTROL HIS MIND? I DON'T EVEN HAVE A BRAIN!" he said, me smacking my face silently at that. Too much information.
"Ugh... If you want something done right... Fine, if you're so adamant about that, then tell me. How many of those humans are there by now?" Undyne asked in annoyance.
"WELL... I COUNTED THREE THE LAST TIME," Papyrus said. "BUT BY THE TIME YOU MEET THEM, A NEW ONE MIGHT APPEAR IN THEIR GROUP..." he said, which Undyne looked at him in annoyance.
"How is that possible?!"
"SEE... SCARLET, THE HUMAN THAT HAS A KNOWLEDGE SOUL... IF HE COMES IN CONTACT WITH AN ITEM CHERISHED BY ONE OF THE HUMANS WHO HAD ALREADY BEEN CAPTURED... THEN THEY CAN REVIVE THEM, AND IN THAT ITEM'S PLACE APPEARS A FULLY INTACT HUMAN, INCLUDING CLOTHING, SKIN, CONSCIOUSNESS, AND EVEN SOUL!"
"Oh my god! A KNOWLEDGE soul?! FINALLY! Of all the human history books, the humans with knowledge souls were said to be the strongest in history! I FINALLY HAVE A WORTHY OPPONENT! NNNNGGGYYYYAAAAAHHHHH! !" she shouted a battle cry before a small bit of lightning crashed down from out of nowhere, me gulping at that.
"I think we should get going..." I said, the others nodding as we managed to get away from the pumped-up Undyne, but she did notice one monster before we ran off.
"Ceroba! There you are!" she shouted, me and my group gasping as I knew we had to disappear!... But then, out of nowhere, from me thinking that... all of us except for Ceroba ended up turning invisible!
"W-What's going-" Mary was about to ask before I shushed her.
"Shh! Keep quiet, or we're busted," I hushed everyone, them then staying silent, though I could tell from a bit of wiggling in place that MK was having a fan moment when so close to Undyne.
"Captain Undyne, I see," Ceroba smiled at her.
"Is it true what I heard from Papyrus? That you were rescued from death by a human?" Undyne asked.
"Yes, it's true... but for me, it was a bit different... I was going to kill myself from... from uh..." Ceroba said before hanging her head.
"You were... you were going to do THAT?" Undyne asked in concern. And Ceroba sighed and nodded. "Why, though? You have a lot to live for, don't you? What about your new boyfriend?"
"We broke up..." Ceroba sighed. "I told him about what happened to my... my little Kanako... and he up and left," Ceroba sighed.
"I... I'm sorry... so where is the human and his posse right now?" Undyne asked.
"Last I saw them, they were going to trek through the Waterfall. Scarlet said something about getting enough humans revived to break the barrier or something," Ceroba said, which Undyne then looked confused at.
"I don't understand what you're talking about... but if they're going through Waterfall, they can't go too far before reaching Hotland! I shall wait there for the fight I've always dreamed of!" Undyne smirked widely with her sharp teeth before rushing ahead of us by jumping across the walls on the way through the Waterfall!
"Whew... that was close. If we'd have made a single noise, we'd have been... visible," I said, me then seeing that all of us were then able to be seen again... but Ceroba was shocked at how, of the lot, it also included someone that we hadn't seen yet... and upon seeing them? It made me actually leap from my spot, since they were right next to me and their eyes were completely blank, their entire body being black and white, yet looking eerily similar to Monster Kid.
"W-WHAT THE?!" Monster Kid gasped as they fell down on their back and backing to the wall upon seeing the sight of their Void version... it was Goner Kid without a shadow of a doubt.
"It appears that the souls lost to the Void... who have died in this Underground... are able to briefly appear around this human..." they said, their voice sounding very wise, yet cute at the same time. Almost like if a 6-year-old got into philosophy and was smart enough to be like a great mind such as Leonardo DaVinci or Isaac Newton.
"I... I feel I should know who you are... but I can't place it," MK said, which Goner Kid closed their eyes with a sigh.
"I was supposed to be your kid sister, a rare birth where I'd be your identical twin... but the universe had other plans... When I was born, all of my magic entered into you instead, therefore killing me... now my soul is in the void, but my conscious mind is trapped in Waterfall... but it can only appear to those with a high FUN value... much like your human friend here," Goner Kid said, me now knowing they were female.
"So... is it possible for me to uh... make you alive again?" I asked, her sighing and shaking her head, still having her eyes closed.
"Not impossible, but very highly unlikely... your soul is strong enough to revive humans from their memorable items... but I had no such items, as I've been dead since birth, but my spirit still ages..." she said, me then thinking on it before then poking MK in the cheek... and gawking at how I saw the exact moment of Goner Kid being born at the same time as MK, but the reason as to Goner Kid being sent into MK was for one reason, that being that twins in the Underground were super rare for a reason. Most monster parents would die within a few days if the twins were left alive for that long! So the duo of parents, through great grief, gave the magic of Goner Kid to MK, not knowing the consequences from their actions...
And then, as if by magic, after seeing that memory, Goner Kid fell down onto the ground and gasped for breath before looking around in concern.
"I... I'm alive... I'm alive? I'M ALIVE!" she shouted after realizing what had happened, her then rolling around on the ground in glee... and me seeing that, when she wasn't in the void, she had pink scales, her hair had a purple ribbon with white polkadots, and her shirt and pants were a matching pink and blue checkered pattern.
"I... I have a sister now! THIS IS AMAZING!" MK smirked as they then smushed their face against GK, which made me smirk at the reunion.
"I think this calls for giving you proper names as opposed to having the ones you did previously," I smiled at them.
"Well, maybe I could give it a try?" Mary smiled. "Um... You're Zephyr... and you are... um..." she said, point at GK and calling her Zephyr before wondering what to call MK.
"And you will be called Saura," I said, which MK smiled at.
"I love that name! And how'd ya know I was a girl?" MK smiled widely. But I had to be honest at what I'd seen when the duo were doing the face smoosh hug.
"Um... when you did your version of a hug with Zephyr... I saw you weren't wearing undies," I said, which MK blushed heavily at. "Sorry, sorry... I didn't mean to," I said, which Saura sighed at with a smile.
"As punishment, you need to get me Undyne's autograph and help me call my parents so I can tell them how I have a sister now!" she said to me, smirking the whole time.
"Done deal on both," I smirked, me then seeing that Saura was able to take a phone out of her shirt pocket with telekinetic magic and she then handed it to me and told me the phone number. I then had to give the call to their parents... and hope that nothing bad would happen involving the first chase part.
