In The woods, Nezuko, holding a torch, examined tracks on the ground when she heard a sound. She reflexively drew her sword, pointing it toward the sound; it was Princess Christiana approaching on horseback.
"I found one of the horses." Christiana dismounted. "I'm coming with you..
Nezuko Sheathed her sword. "You need to stay here. It's dangerous."
"I wasn't asking for your permission." Christiana said imperiously.
"That thing out there is dangerous." Nezuko pointed. "And Tanjiro? He left to protect you. So even if I don't believe in his methods, I'm gonna honor his wishes. I'm gonna keep you safe."
"I never asked him to." Christiana said angrily.
"You never had to." Nezuko shot back. Everything he does, he does for you. And now he's gonna die for you. Love is sacrifice. Something you clearly don't understand." She turned away.
"I'm not gonna let him face that alone." Christiana insisted.
"He won't." Nezuko said firmly. "But with all due respect, Your Highness, Tanjiro's best chance is me."
"I love him too." Christiana said softly.
"What?"
"Tanjiro. I love him, too." Christiana growled. "You're not the only one who cares about him! So shut up and let me help!"
The wailing was heard again.
"Tanjiro..." Nezuko whispered.
