Chapter 10: Love is Strange:
Psyche's POV:
I arrived in our home and saw... well, I'm sure he was in bed. He was still invisible. I had an oil lamp and a knife. Do I really want to do this?
Psyche: Love
Love is strange
Lot of people
Take it for a game
Once you get it
You never wanna quit, no, no
After you've had it
You're in an awful fix
Many people
Don't understand, no, no
They think loving
Is money in the hand
Your sweet loving
Is better than a kiss
When you leave me
Sweet kisses, I miss
Sylvia
Yes, Mickey?
How do you call your lover boy?
Come here, lover boy
And if he doesn't answer
Oh, lover boy
And if he still doesn't answer
I simply say
Baby, oh, baby
My sweet baby, you're the one
Baby, oh, baby
My sweet baby, you're the one!
He was then visible while asleep. I shone in his face and... he was not a monster; he was a God... a literal God! I was married to Eros! I couldn't believe it! I am such a fool! A drop of oil then lands on his shoulder. Eros wakes up and sees me. "Psyche?"
"I..."
Eros then disappeared and so did the palace. What have I done?
. . .
I talked to my sisters. "I am so sorry," says Aglaura.
"It's so sad," says Cidippe.
I then started to cry.
