Note: This chapter is going to be a bit short. I'll post the last chapter when I can. Because I have to work the next 6 days. The next fic after this one is Owl House What If Raine? The one I'm writing is called Owl House What if Eda and Raine?
Chapter 3
Life goes on.
Two years have passed and the rebuilding of the Boiling Isles is going well. Luz is now in 10th grade in high school. It's summer vacation for Luz so she. Plans on going to the Isles to continue helping out. She packed a bag and got ready to leave. As Luz left her room asked "Are you coming Vee?"
"Go ahead and go I'll catch up in a bit." replied Vee
Luz smiled and went down stair and found her mother. Luz gave her mother a hug and said "I'm headed out mama." Camila hugged Luz and said "Be careful and don't over do it ok." Luz pulled away and said "No worries I'll be careful. And I'll try not to over due it." With that said Luz left the house. She walked over to the abandoned house. But the abandoned house no longer looks. Like an abandoned house anymore. Between Luz, Vee, Camila, and Luz's friends. The house now looks great and was bought by Camila. Luz grabbed the portal door knob and turned the door knob. She went through the door and soon. Found herself in front of the Owl House. She let go of the door knob and looked at the house.
Ever since Eda passed away. Luz hasn't been able to spend the night in the owl house. But she does go into the house to visit Raine and King. Raine and King are the only ones that live in the owl house. Lilith and Hooty moved out and now live closer to Bonesborough. Luz decided to go into the house and visit. Before she goes to Blight manor. So Luz grabbed the door knob, opened the door, and went into the house. She walked into the living room and saw that Raine hasn't changed much. The teenager saw stuffed animals around the living room. Luz smiled and yelled "King I'm here for a visit!" Just then she could hear the sounds of claws. Running across the wood floors.
Just then Luz is tackled by King. She smiled and wrapped King in a hug. Then she said "Good to see you King." King hugged Luz and said "It's good to see you too Luz." They hugged for a bit then pulled away. Luz looked around and didn't see Raine. So she asked "Where's Raine King?"
"They're at work but I'll see them later." replied King
Just then King remembered what day it is. And asked "Luz can you meet me where the castle used to be? In a few hours?" Luz smiled and replied "Sure I can buddy." After visiting King for a while Luz and Stringbean left the owl house and headed to Blight manor. Once at Blight manor Luz knocked on the door. Soon the door opened and on the other side of the door is Amity. Happy to see her girlfriend. Luz wrapped her arms around Amity and gave her a kiss. Amity is happy to see Luz so she returned the hug and kiss. Soon they pulled away and they went into the manor. Luz went to the room that she used when she's there.
Then she unpacked her bag. After unpacking Luz went to go find Amity. She soon found Amity in the living room. Luz smiled and asked "Where is you Dad and siblings?"
"Dad and Edric are out helping rebuild. And Emira is are work with Raine." replied Amity
Curious about what King asked her Luz asked "Hey Amity what's going on? Where the castle use to be?" Amity smiled and replied "Sorry I can't say I don't want to spoil anything." With that said Luz and Amity went to the kitchen and had dinner. After eating they cleaned up. Then they left Blight manor. The teen aged girls got on their staffs. And flew toward where the castle use to be. Soon they arrived and got off their staffs. Luz and Amity can see a crowd gathering. As they got to the front of the crowd. They can see Mr Porter, Mason, Lilith, and Gwendolyn. Next to them is something tall and is covered by a fabric trap.
An hour later Mr Porter got out his microphone and said "Welcome everyone to what use to be the Emperor's Castle. It's hard to believe that it's. Been almost two years since the defeat of Emperor Belos. It's also hard to believe. That it's almost been two years. Since Eda the owl lady died." The crowd became quite and Luz can hear some sniffles. Then Mr Porter said "Eda was the only witch to die due to Belos. We were going to wait until. The anniversary of her death. But Mason and his crew finished early. So we've decided to reveal it early." With that said Mason pulled the fabric tarp. Everyone gasped when they saw a statue made of stone. Luz looked at the statue and it's a statue of Eda.
She looked at the statue and has to admit. That Mason and his crew has captured Eda perfectly. At the bottom of the statue is a gold plate. The plate reads Eda The Owl Lady. Lilith took Mr Porter's microphone and said "Behind this statue a orphanage and adoption center will be built. I was inspired to do this by Eda's adoption of King." The crowd cheered and clapped then. Some people left and some stayed and talked. Luz found Lilith and gave her a hug. The red and grey haired witch smiled, hugged Luz, and said "Good to see you Luz dear." Luz also smiled and said "That was a great way to honor Eda."
Lilith pulled away, looked at the statue, and said "Thank you Luz." Just then they heard "Hey Luz I'm glad that you came." Luz looked and saw King. King ran up to and hugged Luz. As Luz hugged King she saw Raine. Raine went up to Lilith and gave her a hug. Then they said "It's a lovely statue. And wonderful way to honor Eda." Lilith hugged Raine and said "Thank you Raine." It's getting late so everyone went to their homes. Luz spent her summer helping out around the Boiling Isles.
