The Champions of Monster High

By Yutilov

Chapter 3: True Name and Ghosts with Dirty Faces

Good to see you all again! First, let's do a small recap to make sure we're all on the same page.

And... STARTOU!

After being summoned from their own world, Blake Wolfson, the downer/rebel/bad boy/ figurative lone wolf of the group began his first day in Monster High, a school situated in New Salem, Oregon, in the monster side for various species to attend with his four comrades. Together they all took the whole school in surprise with a little help from yours truly and a fancy ride provided once again by ore, and of course with young Blake helping the zombies win a dodgeskull game!

Even I was surprised by such a turn from him, but this proves he has a kokoro under the lonely guy image he wants to impose on himself and others.

This got him points in the eyes of the undead students and the werewolf girl, Clawdeen, all while she started to get suspicious of his presence in the school. The young Blake managed to hold his secret identity as her knight in shining armor under the covers... although he's quite a terrible liar and I'm a bit of an expert in that and I've heard other gakis, younger kids make more better excuses than that.

After his encounter with trendy okami girl, the teen got himself in another fight to the shida with an Orphenoch right in the same gym where he did his good deed and managed to triumph once again in the face of the beast and started to unlock the true potential of the belt as well as experience it's side-effects.

More happened of course, but I think I'm taking too much jikan. Back to the main subject, this time we are taking a peek at the other young eiyuu's and their future adventures while navigating Monster High.

This time, the unappointed leader of the group, drum rolling tanomu?

*DRDRDRDR!*

It's 'Mickey'!

Monster High – Halls

In the spooky halls of Monster High where everything and every-monster could mingle in this short period called break, many were staring in awe and fear at one particular 'exchange' student that calmly walked as if he owned the entire institution.

Unlike them, he was a human. He was taller than most of his age, easily reaching 6 feet in height, wearing an imposing uniform of black with gold trims that contrasted to his light skin devoid of any blemishes or visible flaw like it was made of porcelain. His face was handsome, having a perfect nose and a strong chin that made him look like he could be a model for a popular teen magazine. He had long golden hair that was styled to perfection and slicked back, adding a sense of maturity and piercing blue eyes that seemed to peer into one's soul when he gazes upon them. His physique was that of an athlete, toned and muscular hidden under his uniform.

This young man, this human among monsters, was none other than 'Mickey', carrying himself with a sense of confidence and pride that seemed almost regal with each step into the halls of Monster High that contrasted to his noble-like aspect.

It was clear to all those who watched him that he wasn't just any ordinary exchange student. He had a presence about him that demanded attention and respect.

Some monster teens whispered among themselves, wondering if he was the son of some important normie back on his 'home' or perhaps even royalty among humans.

And they couldn't be more right. 'Mickey' was indeed the decendant of royalty. His great-grandfather being the successfull son of an influential Duke from Germany who migrated to America more than a century ago and decided to remain and create an institution for the children of fellow royal blood and higher-ups in the social system where they can be educated and disciplined to become worthy heirs of their father's titles and ranks.

The created institution lasted and reigned among the top even in modern times where monarchy was abbolished as the school still stood strong with it's great lineage of Headmasters, all descendants of 'Mickey' great-grandfather, with his father being the most recent in the position.

That very institution is known today as Saint Brahm Academy. The school which harnesses and maximizes the potential of every one of it's students with it's countless courses and extracurricular clubs.

'Mickey', like his ancestors, was the very epitome of the Academy, being a respected, and charismatic influence among the student body, even when the institution opened it's gates to the ones underqualified. A decision made by his own father, but never criticised or questioned, only complied.

Among the new students with mixed backgrounds, 'Mickey' easily proved himself as one who should be followed and listened to, but not just from his title or pedigree, but from his very accomplishments that range in many fields, be it education, sports, arts, or science.

Of course, there were some students who never decided to follow him, one of them being Blake Wolfson. A newcomer with a mysterious past that doesn't adher to the school dress code, or participates in the deeply encouraged, extracurricular activities, staying and refusing to involve himself with the others.

Blake Wolfson was indeed the indiviudal 'Mickey' couldn't tolerate, something he never told or showed anyone, but those who saw their previous interactions could immediatly tell that the two teenagers held disdain over the other. One of the very first effects that the gray-haired teen had on the grounds of the Academy was the very nickname he was reffered to nowadays. This sobriquet uttered out of pettyness and spite easily gained popularity like wildfire to the point that even the teachers themselves preffered it over to his true name, which greatly displeases him.

His name wasn't something as silly and childish as 'Mickey'.

His name is and will forever be Michael von Brahm! The heir and carrier who upholds the laws of Saint Brahm Academy tradition, not the so-called 'Mickey'.

That day when he with the other four of his schoolmates where transported into an alternate reality was something he could hardly comprehend even now. The concept was always something that was in the fantastical domain of science-fiction, not a true proven fact. That moment, all five of them made the shocking discovery that such a nonviable theory was true. That possibility of theorethical realities where different choices that had been made or if other factors would have existed during a certain moment of history were added, they would result in a entire different world altogether living in parallel with other realities normally incapable of interracting with each other. Yet, here they are, standing in a world where the beings that would be considered supernanatural are nonfictious and attending a school meant for them certainly was an unseen event.

But what was even more intriguing was the fact that the five of them were summoned by a resident of this reality named Seimei. Having great knowledge in many fields, history included, the noble teen recognized the name belonging to the important figure from Ancient Japan known as Abe-no-Seimei. An astrologer, exorcist and advisor to the Emperor during his lifespan and was rumored to be half kitsune, fox spirits that lived as either servants to the divinity or tricksters who bring chaos and misfortune upon humanity. For such a figure to exist and live so long was theorethically possible if only the claims of such mixed heritage between mankind and supernatural were indeed true.

Michael didn't have the chance to verify such a theory, but witnessing the power and resources of the individual named Seimei standing before them in this short time proved that also the concept of magic, a power that ties into the impossible exists and controls with the snap of his fingers.

From teleportation, to matter transmutation, the being called Seimei was the embodiment of what was previously thought to be only fictional. It was both fascinating and terrifying, knowing that such a power was real, but not as much as the current threat they were specifically called for: to combat and destroy the lifeforms named Orphenoch.

Beings from a third reality that was most likely the victim of their mindless rampages and destroyed the life on their world of origin until they were all that remains. The very threat of such vile creatures that set their sights on this world and at Seimei appeal, all of them decided to stay and fight, using the strange piece of technology known as the Faiz Gear in their secret mission to combat the invading Orphenoch.

It has been more than a few days since the second fight of Blake Wolfson against of such a being and during that time, Michael decided to spend his time quietly at Monster High as it should and follow their cover story as exchange students while secretly combating the Orphenoch, or at least that was the plan until Blake Wolfson soon attracted the attention of the student body by helping the zombies, lifeforms that cross the boundary between life and death.

Being human students in such an institution was bound to land them in situations that would attract the eyes of many sooner or later, but he never expected it to come from Blake Wolfson all people and in their first day nonetheless.

That is where he learned that other than humanity and monsterkind having to walk a thin line that could lead to a massive conflict from a single act, even accidental, he obviously understood that monsterkind is also divided among itself with many species having been enemies in the past and even in the present and Monster High is meant to act as a neutral ground, a place where the various offsprings of different monsters in this world could learn to coexist.

These facts combined with their schedules that made it impossible for him and his fellow schoolmates to be in the same classrooms forced him to change his initial plan.

Human Side – Fox Flare Cafe

"So, how was the instructions manual, gakis?" asked Seimei, avoiding eye contact with them. After confessing that the Faiz Gear would bring them great harm without the bracelet, the teens have been quitet around him, all the while, Seimei, is serving them with sweet pastries like cookies and muffins to get them back on his side. A truly childish attempt to persuade forgiveness

"After our detaliate study of the manual we can say that all of us have more understanding of the belt's functions, Mr. Seimei," replied 'Mickey' with a calm smile.

"Very good, very good," Seimei muttered, still not making eye contact to them. He paused for a moment before speaking again to them. "But remember, this power is not to be used lightly. The Faiz Gear is a tool unlike anything you've seen back on your sekai, and it must only be used as such when absolutely necessary or in this case when an Orphenoch decides to appear."

"But how many can appear at a time?" asked Ken.

"I'm still myself not sure, and there's not really a pattern to where or when one can appear," Seimei replied, rubbing his chin before continuing. "Plus, you already have the bangles and young Blake already told you how they work. And with each tatakai you do, you not only learn how to better combat the Orphenoch, but also learn from their behaviour."

"These things are like rabid animals. They attack everything that moves, simple," Blake scoffed. "There's not that damn much we can learn from that."

"True, true, but better to be safe than sorry," replied Seimei with a shrug.

"Mr. Seimei. I have a request, no, two requests to make," spoke 'Mickey', getting the silver-haired man attention.

"And what can I do for you, young 'Mickey'?" Seimei asked, as his tail is moving frantically like a puppy. "Let me guess, first, you all want your phones to work in this world and I can't do that. Phone connection is a quite different in here compared to your home, but I can give you all in exchange brand new ICoffins!" he exclaimed, snapping his fingers as five purple phones in shape of coffin appeared before the teens in a puff of smoke.

"Awesome!" exclaimed Leon, marveling at the device while the others took theirs and analyzed them.

"So these are the monster side IPhones, I take?" asked Blake, receiving a nod from the fox man.

"Ikanimo. They are the hottest trend in monster society and you can say that you're the only normie kids that have such items, although if you want to make a few fellow human friends from this town, I suggest that you don't openly show them that much." As the teens were busy with their new devices, Seimei cleared his throat, signaling them to pay attention once again.

"Now then, about your second request," he began, his ears twitching in anticipation. "What can I do for you, gaki?"

"I need a list of all the clubs of Monster High and it's extracurricular activities," replied 'Mickey'.

Seimei smiled as he heard the request. "Well, young 'Mickey', I must say that's an unusual request. But I happen to have just the thing for you." He pulled out a small book from his pocket and flipped through the pages until he found what he was looking for. With a flourish, Seimei presented the book to 'Mickey', who gently took it from him.

"This is a list of all the clubs and sport teams at Monster High," Seimei explained. "You'll find in here the teams like the ghoul's Fear Squad, or cheerleading for those that don't know yet, or the CasketBall which is a bit more violent basket, oh, or maybe-

"I shall excuse myself now," 'Mickey' replied, rising from the table and making his way to to the front door.

"Uh, what just happened?" Seimei asked.

"I know what happened, but I don't care enough to stop him," replied Blake with a sigh.

"Oh! Now I get it!" exclaimed Leon. "I give him less than a week to do it!"

Blake rolled his eyes. "Knowing him, that's about the normal time he would bring all the attention to himself."

"Nee, can someone let me in? Is one of those inside joke thingies?" asked Seimei curiosly, only to be ignored. "Tanomu! I'm curioser than even a cat right now!"

"He'll take over the school," answered Blake with a sigh.

"Oh! Now I get it! Wait... NANI?!?!"

(END FLASHBACK)

The very next couple of days, 'Mickey' or rather Michael had presented himself before the the school's clubs, challenging each one of them at their activies. 'Mickey' actually expected to be at least a hundred clubs in such a place and was mistaken, but this only made it much easy.

First, he took on the more intellectual clubs like the Chess, Robotics and Mad Science clubs. He challenged each one of them fairly on their own terms, which was a match with either their president or their best member. Michael didn't care who he was against as long as they were skilled enough to at least put up a challenge.

Since he was in another world, Michael thought some activities were different in some rules or areas and was of course right, but he was a quick learner and had an uncanny ability to pick up new skills quickly.

In the end, that wasn't what mattered. After many one-sided matches, he was the unquestioned winner against these clubs, which prompted him to try then at the more physical aspects. Namely the sports teams. He didn't want to join in any team or play with monsters, but imposed the same challenge with the likes of the CasketBall, BatBall, Tennis, and Scary Soccer. As expected, Michael's victories in these challenges were just as swift and decisive as his victories in the intellectual clubs. He easily defeated the strongest members of each sports team at their own game, leaving them in awe of his abilities or prompting shocked and utterly desperate reaction against losing to a human like him.

That was his true purpose after all.

During the less than a week span, all of the students and teachers in Monster High heard of the one normie student that easily defeated all the clubs and teams one by one, wondering not only how a human can do such a thing, but also why. The answer was simple. Michael never wanted to join a team of monsters or play with them, only to establish who's superior.

Going to such a parody of institution that couldn't hold a candle to the Academy finest was an insult to his name, but, the defeats he laid upon the various monster teens would serve as a reminder to see what a human, the heir to the royal rulers of his world are capable of.

Now, after finishing his great deed, merely walking in the halls surrounded by monster students prompted fearful and cowardly reactions by his mere presence as if he was some kind of incomprehensible being to them. Now the creatures that were spoken in his world as beings to be feared were cowering in their feet or bones at his mere presence. It was a stark contrast to when they first arrived.

"Can I have a moment of your time?" asked a feminine voice that echoed through the halls. In the next moment, a flying girl with stark white/transparent skin and long violet hair descends down to face the royal-blood human. She is dressed in dark and purple silks with chains hanging around her skirt and her high-heeled boots. Michael recognized her as Spectra Vondergeist. A ghost with a past unknown to many that is also a valued member of the Newspaper Club.

"Good day, Miss Spectra. I pressume you are demanding to once again know more about myself or my fellow schoolmates?" he inquired with a knowing look. Since defeating their club in a challenge of story-scooping and letting them keep his reports, he gained the iracy of the living spectre girl as during the days of club conquest, she tried fruitlessly to get informations regarding him, his fellow Academy students and his reasoning for her well-known blog, the Gory Gazette, formerly known as the Ghostly Gossip. For now, she obviously hasn't anything regarding them that could ruin their guise.

Spectra huffs, "It's not about that, actually." she said, picking Michael interest. "I just wanted to know if you've heard about the latest rumors going around Heath Burns?"

"I have heard about an incident regarding a missing statue and Mr. Burns is the likely suspect," he said. "But that is all I know and had no further interactions with him. Why do you ask?"

"Well, it's not just that," Spectra said, flying closer to Michael. "All clues point to Heath, but he came to me claiming he was framed, and I began an investigation to find the real culprit."

Michael raised an eyebrow, curious about the ghost's investigation. "And what has led you to believe that Mr. Burns is innocent? I may not have accurate knowledge on him, but I have heard he is a student that causes trouble in this institution with not just his behaviour and antics, but also his fire-related abilities. Such a character could be hard to trust."

Spectra smirks, "I can't reveal all of my sources, but I have reasons to believe that someone else is behind this."

"Someone that most likely ended up as the victim of Mr. Burns pranks, am I correct?" Michael inquired to which Spectra grudgefully nods. "A likely theory in case he was honest or an alibi to mislead others."

"But, I am still not sure," Spectra said with a sigh. "Which is why I came to you. Your reporting skills are top-notch, almost greater than mine." she admitted hesistantly. "Perhaps you could help me?"

Michael wanted to deny her request, but paused for a moment, actually considering it. He and his schoolmates had their own reason for coming to this school and meddling with its paranormal inhabitants wasn't one of them, but helping Spectra Vondergeist, regardless of his association with her, could be an interesting challenge that would alleviate his boredom and test his skills as an investigator?

"I must admit, Miss Spectra, your proposal does intrigue me," he said with a smile, "However, I cannot promise anything without knowing more about the situation."

Spectra nodded, understanding his caution. "Fair enough."

Spectra began to explain the details of the incident, starting with the possible theft of the statue and Heath Burns' claim of innocence. She told him about her investigation thus far, including any leads or suspicious behavior she had observed in the student body and possible suspects. As she spoke, Michael listened intently, processing the informations on his brain.

After hearing her out, the human teen thought for a moment before speaking. "I see. It seems you have done your research well, Miss Spectra. However, without further evidence or confirmation from other sources, it is difficult to draw any conclusions at this point yet."

"Nonetheless, after the fourth period I shall assist you. You have my word," Michael nodded.

(*)

The next class for Michael in this institution was Dragonometry, one of the classes that in spite of it's terminology, it translated to Economics both here and in his original world. In spite of the senseless naming like many words in the monster side vocabulary, it was one of the classes that the blond teen found tolerable.

"Attention, little freaks!" shouted a voice as a bald human with, large ears and nose that points downwards enters the classroom. His clothing consists of a light pink suit with pens in the breast pocket, a white button-up shirt, large brown glasses and a blue and bronze striped tie. This is Mr. Lou Zarr, a substitute teacher that normally teaches at the human side institution of New Salem, but found himelf being forced to teach at Monster High occasionally, being the replacement of Headmistress Bloodgood.

"Good day, Mr. Zarr," Michael greeted from his seat, all while the other monster teens present ignored the older human, being stuck in their own chats.

"Hmm, good day to you too, Mickey, was it?" Lou Zarr replied, looking at the human boy with a mixture of curiosity and annoyance. "I hope you aren't planning on being too... social during class today."

The other students snickered, but Michael simply tilted his head confused.

"Whatever do you mean, sir?" he asked, being at a loss.

"I'm not paid enough to care anyway," Lou Zarr grumbled, then moved to the one sitting next to Michael, Deuce Gorgon.

He is the son of the mythological Medusa. A woman that is belived to be a descendant of the divine and who was cursed by the goddess Athena to become a monster with snakes replacing her hair and having the ability to turn those who gaze upon her frightening visage to stone. Deuce has many traits that his mother shared both before and after her transformation. He is tall and muscular, wearing a red shirt and sleveless white jacket with scale patterned black jeans. Green cales can be spotted on his arms and his head is indeed full of snakes but stand shaped in a mohawk-like style. Obviously, he also wears sunglasses, that block his ability as Michael had once seen him do to turn others to stone, although unlike his mother, the effect lasts, by his words, usually a few hours.

Deuce turns to the substitute teacher, smirking. "Hey, Mr. Lou," he greets nonchalantly, not appearing to notice Michael's confusion. "No hard feelings about last time, right?"

"Last time?" Michael whispered, confused about their interaction. Deuce is clearly aplogizing to the substitute teacher about something that happened in the past. It's likely related to his ability to turn people to stone with a glance. Normally, such things wouldn't interest him, but Deuce Gorgon is someone known among the student body as being reliable and also a friend of Heath Burns. For now, he will just pay attention to the lesson and interogate the part-snake teen after.

Mr. Lou Zarr, visibly annoyed, rolls his eyes. "Let's not bring up that time and you will have those sunglasses always on! Understand?" He commands to the monster teen who simply shrugged, then turns his attention back to the blackboard, beginning to write equations and formulas that already made a few monster teens sleepy.

(*)

After the bell ringed, Deuce could feel a weird presence behind him as he walked the halls, as if he was followed. He didn't pay any attention to it, probably thinking it's a lost ghost or something. Instead he reached his locker, opened it and retrieving a book for his next class. As he closed the locker and began to walk away, Michael stepped in front of him.

"Hello, Deuce Gorgon,"

Deuce turns to face Michael, raising an eyebrow under his glasses. "Uh, hey, Michael," he replies, a bit put off by the human presence. He was a monster that didn't have anything against normies and thought he could be friends with the five exchange students when they arrived in Monster High, although the only one he truly got to talk was Michael and, no offense, but the guy just gave off a weird feeling that agitated his snakes, something that few are capable of.

"What's up? Need some help with something?" the gorgon teen asks.

Michael nods, "Yes, I wanted to ask you about the most recent incident that Heath Burns is blamed for. Do you know about it?"

Deuce scoffs, rolling his eyes. "Oh, you mean that missing statue thing? Seriously, dude, this time Heath had gone a bit too far. It's not cool. He could risk getting expelled."

"So you think Heath Burns is the culprit without any need of evidence?" asked Michael in a serious tone. From his many interactions with the part-snake teen, he could deduce that he was the school most prominent student. As not only he was a member and captain of many clubs he challenged during the past days, but the paranormal teen accepted the defeats showing sportsmanship and actually offered the blond-haired human a spot in the clubs if he wanted, not showing any hostility. Of course, he politely refused such offers.

Deuce sighs, running a hand through his mohawk-like snakes. "Look, man, I'm not saying Heath did such a thing on purpose, but it's not like he's never been involved in this kind of stuff before, especially after what he did at the Maul that week ago."

"Thus, you assume he is guilty based on past experience?" Michael questioned, getting a slow nod from Deuce. "Thank you for your time Deuce Gorgon. Goodbye." Then he turned away from him, leaving without any more words.

Deuce blinks, looking a bit surprised at Michael's abrupt departure. He shrugs and turns to head towards his next class, rolling his eyes as he thinks about Heath Burns. 'That guy just can't seem to stay out of trouble.'

(*)

The interogation of Deuce Gorgon didn't offer much in the way of clues, only pointing the obvious theory. That Heath Burns is guilty of the missing statue.

But one testimony isn't enough, which prompted the blond human to seek out other students who might have seen or heard something related to the incident. He walked through the halls, looking for anyone who might be willing to talk, but after his deed, they all would rather make an excuse and leave the vicinity and the others that out of fear or didn't have a care answered to his questions with the same answers as the son of Medusa.

'Everybody knows Heath did it!'

'Heath Burns is responsible!'

'T-That walking torch Heath did it!'

'Heath Burns will finally be expelled!'

'Ugh, but Heath did it, right?'

'Ughhuu Heath Guilty!'

Michael's search for more information didn't seem to be going very well. Everywhere he went, students were quick to point the finger at Heath Burns and no one else. It was starting to look like an open-and-shut case, but the teen knew that rushing to judgment wasn't always the best idea.

"Any luck so far?" asked the echoing voice of Spectra fazing through the wall.

Muchael shook his head. "Unfortunately, Miss Spectra, all I've questioned gave me the same story. Heath Burns is guilty of the missing statue without a doubt and have no further need for a proof."

Spectra nodded, her face not masking her concern. "That's unfortunate. But, let's continue our investigation, see if we can't find any other leads or witnesses. Maybe there's something we're missing."

"I am also inclined to belive Mr. Burns is responsible," he replied. "During this time when I've accepted your proposal and interrogated possible witnesses, I have seen the wing where the missing statue resided and other than the lack of video footage, the shown evidence points to someone reckless that has poor control of flames, something Heath Burns is known for."

Spectra frowned, considering Michael's words. "I see your point, but at the same time, we can't ignore the fact that there's no concrete evidence linking Heath to the crime. He's not the only one who has fire powers in Monster High."

"That is indeed true. Not many monsters would..." Michael agreed, but paused. His blue eyes widened in revelation. "Maybe it wasn't someone with powers at all."

"Are you okay, Michael?" asked Spectra, looking concerned at the human teen.

"I am more than alright, Miss Spectra. I have solved the case," Michael replied, taking out from his pocket the ICoffin gifted by Seimei. "Good day, Mr. Seimei. I need information regarding companies that specialise in statues."

Principal Office - Monster High

Like many educational institutions, the office of the principal was a room meant for both intimidation and business. It was a place where students and parents would come to discuss matters of importance, and where disciplinary action was often taken. And even in a school as Monster High, the office of Headmistress Bloodgood is a room meant to evoke style and class. It was both grand and intimidating, with its high ceilings, intricate woodwork, and plush furnishings, but also it's stained-glass windows.

Other than Bloodgood, standing besides her is a tall, bright blue horse with a blue-and-purple-pink mane, red-and-white-pink eyes that have red sclera a blue and a dark navy blue bridle over it's head and muzzle with skulls with ribbons on it, and long black eyelashes. This is Nightmare, the supernatural horse and pet of Headmistress Bloodgood and her assistant.

"I suppose you're wondering why you're all here," questioned Spectra with Michael standing besides her.

After the revelation of the blond human, Spectra called the likely suspects in the Headmistress office. Among them were Deuce Gorgon, the older brother of Clawdeen Wolf, Clawd, followed by Frankie Stein and the resident prankster and resident female bully, Toralei Stripe, part of the subspecies of werebeasts, the werecat. Then of course, the accused, Heath Burns. A fire elemental that would pass as an immature human teen if not for his yellow skin, red eyes and crimson hair that would light up when he uses his abilities.

"Yes, Spectra," Bloodgood replied, her eyes narrowing. "You're playing us for a bunch of rubes." Her eyes shifted to Heath, pointing to him. "We all know Heath took the statue. His burnmarks are all over it."

"Unfortunately, you are quite mistaken, Headmistress Bloodgood," Michael said, but the ghost girl stepped forward.

"Each and every person in the room had a reason to frame the flame," said Spectra, taking the light. "Like you Frankie." she flied to her. "Isn't it true Heath burned your biteology homework last week. How'd you feel?"

"Mad!" shouted the stiched girl, rising from her chair. "I swear sometimes I could just-!" she paused realizing her words that could incriminate her. She slumped back on the chair.

"I see," muttered Spectra, before turning to the werecat. "And you Toralei. Didn't Heath splash water on you before the school picture?" Toralei looked away, growling like a raging feline towards the fire-wielding teen that could barely hold his chuckle at the memory.

"Next, Clawd and Deuce," she said, turning to the two monster boys. "How many times has Heath embarrassed you at the Maul and didn't you guys tell him that he was going to be sorry!"

"But we didn't mean-" Deuce tried saying, but the spectre girl turned her back to them, facing the Headmistress.

"Every one of these students had cause for framing Heath," Spectra declared. "So who did it?"

As she said those words, all the other monster teens in the room began to feel tense. Michael found such a behaviour silly, but still not unexpected when being confronted with such accusations. Fortunately for them, he knows neither of them did it.

"I think that is enough, Miss Spectra," said Michael, stepping forward.

"Wait, but what is he doing in here?" asked Heath. "I don't even go near the normie, especially after cheating at that casketball match!" he said in a accusatory tone.

"That's enough, Heath," said Bloodgood, her tone firm. "You're not helping your case." Turning to Michael, she raised an eyebrow. "And what exactly is your reason for being in here, Michael?" she asked politely, to which the blond teen smiled.

"Headmistress Bloodgood, I am here to help clear the aforementioned name," he replied professionally. "Miss Spectra wanted my aid in this case, and I admit, at the beginning, I also thought that like many in here and this institution that Heath Burns is the culprit behind the missing statue."

The room fell silent as Michael continued to speak. "However, after investigating the matter further, I have come to a different conclusion. Each and every one of you has a motive to frame Heath Burns, as Spectra pointed out," he paused, looking at the monster teens. "But none of them is actually responsible." he finished, earning wide looks from all present.

"Then who framed me?!" shouted Heath histerically. "Don't tell me it was Manny or some guy jealous of my wooing skills!"

Michael cleared his throat, "Well, Heath, while I can't say for certain who originally put the blame on this incident upon you, but, I can tell you that there is no missing statue." He glanced around, taking in their confused expressions.

"Uh, what?" questioned Deuce, as lost as the others.

"Sooner than you think answer will be clear," Michael said, as the vintage dial phone on the Headmistress desk began ringing.

Bloodgood narrowed her eyes, but still picked up the call. "Hello? Statue cleaners?" she said as her eyes widened then picked up one of the papers from a tank. "...Oh here it is." she sighed. "Blow torches? Monday's fine."

As the Headmistress hung up the phone, she turned to face the students. "It appears that the statue was not missing after all," she said with a guilty sigh. "Everone's free to go."

"I don't get it? So it was a prank all along?" asked the fire elemental, scratching his head.

"No," said Michael in a stoic tone. "To simplify, this was just an accident and mere coincidence that all pointed to you, Heath Burns. In this incident you are innocent and merely a victim of chance." he said making the fire teen gasp, all while the werecat couldn't help but smirk at Heath's disbelief, while Deuce just seemed relieved that the ordeal was finally over. The other monster students, however, seemed to be in a mix of shock and disbelief. It was clear that they hadn't expected this turn of events, but nonetheless, they slowly leaved the Headmistress office.

As they left the office, the tension in the air seemed to dissipate. Michael turned to Spectra, "Thank you for allowing me to assist you, Miss Spectra. It was an... interesting case." he said with a small smile, before following the others out of the office.

"And on the other note. Can I ask for a favor in return?" he asked out of the blue.

Spectra turned to him, raising an eyebrow. "You did help me when I was stuck in the case," she said cautiously. "What do you have in mind?"

"I merely wish to know if the offer on a interview is still available."

Monster High - Halls

The school bell ringed, signaling the end of the day for it's freaky students. All the while many species have begun to head to the path that leads to the exit, many monster teens received a message on their ICoffins and the monitor on the school halls.

"Welcome back Monster High!" said Spectra from a room that looked similar to a storage unit with a desk bearing the school logo. "Before many of you leave the halls of the school, I have a special guest with me in my studio."

"Everyone, I present to you the normie that in his first week has challenged and defeated all of our clubs and sport teams. Some of you may know him as an exchange student from very far away, but others as Michael von Brahm!" she said, introducing Michael that took the seat next to her. Seeing him, many monsters gaped, wondering what he's doing in there.

"How did that normie get there?!" exclaimed Cleo de Nile.

"Beats me," replied the short vampire girl, Draculaura. "What about you Clawdeen?'

"I don't really care why a normie like him is there, ghoul," replied Clawdeen, not really interested in the podcast.

"Uugh," uttered Ghoulia, pounting to the screen, getting her friends to watch what happens next.

"Thank you for having me, Miss Spectra," Michael replied, giving her and all who watch a confident smile.

"Good! And now the main question... Why?" she asked pointing to the human teen.

"I'm afraid you will have to be more specific, Miss Spectra," Michael curtly replied.

"I am talking about the various challenges you overcome to reach your level of fame or should I say infamy!" As Spectra spoke, a smaller window appeared behind her, displaying clips from the school's various clubs and sports teams, all of which showed Michael defeating their champions with ease. The monster students in the halls could only gaze in awe, some only fearing the human based on mere gossips, but now they have the very proof that his deed is more than whispers with no foundation.

"Those rumors are true?!" Cleo shrieked.

Clawdeen rolled her eyes, "Well, duh! I've told you that Clawd has become like a wet dog after that blond jerk beat him at casketball the other day!"

The mummy girl scoffs. "You did? I don't really remember. But why Deuce hasn't told me about this?!" she demands without an answer.

"To be honest, I didn't come here for fame or recognition," Michael began, his expression turning, somber. "I wanted to see what a normal high school is like. All my life, others had high expectations from me, but when a chance to go and see what would life be instead as a normal student presented, I took it. Like my friends, I never expected I would be in Monster High, and the competitive spirit from my former school got the worst of myself and couldn't resist to see what else this institution had to offer. But along the way, I got carried away..." he paused before continuing. "I realized that in these challenges I unintentionally hurt the feelings of students that truly dedicated themselves to their arts and for that I am truly sorry."

Spectra listened intently to Michael's explanation. "Well, Michael, I understand the desire to experience something new and different, and sometimes we make mistakes along the way. I've been there with my blog more than I could count," she said in a sympathetic tone before continuing. "However, what you've done has caused quite a stir among the student body here. Do you have any plans to make amends?"

The human slowly nodded his head. "I do. For now, I don't know how I can make amends for my deed yet, but I'm willing to accept the consequences." he paused, his blue eyes staring into the camera. "I know it has been only one week in this school, but I know that I don't want others to hate me, because I've grown to love Monster High in this short period of time. If there's any way I can help the students that I challenged, or any club or sport team that I defeated, I will gladly do it. I may be just a human in this school, but it doesn't matter, because like you all, I love Monster High." His voice was sincere, and it seemed like he meant every word he said from the bottom of his heart.

"Well, I think after such an apology, many would like to have such a friend like you who loves our school so much, normie aside," Spectra smiled as a green glowing tear escaped from her pale cheeck. "This is Spectra Vondergeist, and I deliver to you the news!" she declared as the screen turned blank, signaling the end of transmission.

"Really? Does that normie expect us to buy his cheap words?" asked Cleo with a scoff, only to see that other than her and Clawdeen, the other ghouls are sniffling and tearing.

"T-That was the most beautiful speech I have ever heard! Waaah!" sniffled Draculaura, trying in vain to stop her tears from ruining her makeup.

"Uhhh!" uttered Ghoulia, in tears much like her friends.

"I-It was very beautiful!" exclaimed Frankie, much in the same situation like her vampire and zombie friends, but with the occasionalspark from her neck bolts. "I didn't know he felt that way!"

"Really?" Clawdeen asked, rolling her eyes. "You two said that you won't rest till you finally beat that normie at Mad Science, ghoul." then her gaze shifted to the pink-skinned vampire. "And you, Draculaura, said that you won't forgive the guy for ruining Clawd's confidence in his game!"

The vampire and stiched girl couldn't help but look sheepish at each other, their eyes filled with unspoken guilt. Draculaura took a deep breath, "I... *sniff, I know I said that, but hearing him apologize like that made me see things differently."

"I agree, Draculaura," Frankie nodded, sniffling and wiping her tears. "It's not like we don't make mistakes ourselves."

"And he did say he was willing to help anyone he hurt," the vamipre girl added, her expression softening a bit.

Cleo, seeing that she was the only one (other than Clawdeen) not affected by the normie's apology, crossed her arms and huffed. "Fine, but don't say I didn't warn you."

(*)

After bidding goodbye to Spectra and once again thanking her for the chance to apologize, Michael calmly walked calmly with a smile on his lips through the almost empty halls with the occasional monster student giving him praises and apologies towards their behaviour, some actually inviting him to hang at several locations in New Salem.

It was all starting to align well for the royal teen.

"Did you have your fun playing with them?" asked a voice Michael would easily recognise from the other side of this world, Blake Wolfson.

The blond human turned around to face his fellow Academy student, his eyes gently narrowing. "Blake Wolfson. I didn't expect to see you are still here," he said with a calm but forced smile.

"And where else would I be other than seeing what a scheming bastard you are," shot back the gray-haired teen. "Gotta give you points for at least altering the usual speech you do once you crushed all the clubs back home."

"Whatever do you mean by that?" asked Michael, raising an eyebrow. "I have a competitive spirit and I never deny a challenge when presented to me."

Blake rolled his eyes. "Don't change the subject. I know that you hate this place from the moment you stepped your fancy shoes in it."

"Such severe accusations from someone of your status are quite common and without value, Blake Wolfson" Michael calmly replied. "You only know how to bark after all."

"Why you!" Blake lunged at Michael, but the blond human easily sidestepped and grabbed the gray-haired teen's wrist, twisting it enough to have him on his knees.

"Now now, Blake Wolfson," he said with a smirk that sent shivers across the trapped teen skin's. "You don't want to start anything you can't finish, do you? Especially in front of others."

Blake merely growled and got back up on his feet. To onlookers, it would seem that Michael helped his fellow human after slipping on the floor, but only Blake knew the truth behind it. "This isn't the Academy and they aren't your servants." He warned before storming off.

Michael released a soft chuckle as he watched Blake leave. "Silly. Whoever-"

RING! RING!*

A sound from his ICoffin made him stop his sentence and took the strangely-shaped device. He had the phone for a short while, but other than shape, it provided the regular functions of a device from his original world without any noteworthy problem. He wasn't the type that would often use them for other than their originally designed purpose, but he did have to admit that it was useful in some cases. Now, he is getting called by the only number besides his schoolmates.

"Hello, Mr. Seimei," Michael greeted. "With what may I be of help?"

"Hello, young 'Mickey'!" greeted Seimei from his side. "I heard about your moment and wanted to congratulate you, but we have another mondai. I'm receiving a signal around to the Maul."

"A signal, you say?" Michael asked, his eyes narrowing in thought. This could mean one thing. "I take it is my turn then?"

"Indeed it is, gaki!" Seimei confirmed. "I'll send you the coordinates right away."

Michael nodded in understanding, "Understood. I will be on my way," He hung up the call and quickly made his way towards the exit, his mind already focusing on the next task at hand.

(*)

New Salem - Maul Parking Lot

After receiving the location on the phone, Michael easily found himself on the parking of the Maul. For such a relatively small town, a mall wasn't expected, but not uncommon, especially for it's young population.

The only problem he found was the fact that if he used the Faiz Gear and fought an emerging Orphenoch, it wouldn't be hard for a monster side resident to witness the upcoming battle and record such an action. The fact that Blake Wolfson almost revealed the existence of Orphenoch was a mistake due to a lack of information, but also showed his negligence. Thankfully the werewolf he rescued was none the wiser about his identity and due to Seimei, she hasn't witnessed the demise of the otherworldly being.

"I arrived at the location," said Michael on the phone.

"Great!" exclaimed Seimei on the other line. "When the Orphenoch appears, Kiichi, my robotic pet and it's friends will do the teleportation mahou. Can't say when you'll end up yet, but there won't be anyone to see you fight and spread the rumors of a monster hunter on the loose. Haha!" then cancelled the call.

Michael didn't find the attempt at humour entertaining, but nodded in understanding. His eyes scanning the area for any signs of an emerging Orphenoch. From what was shown before, the creatures appeared through a gateway made only possible in the presence of shadows. How was such a thing possible, he doesn't have the answer and their host seems none the wiser about it or refuses to reveal these details yet. And unlike a certain someone, he was well aware of the potential consequences of using the Faiz Gear in such a public place, but he also knew that he couldn't afford to let an Orphenoch run free. Humanity won't be plagued by such beings.

Returning to the task as hand, the blond teen remembered the details regarding the bracelet that resides in his right arm and it's ability. Fortunately, there is no one in the parking lot, meaning that he's free to wander until he gets a reaction from the metallic item.

"Oh! Hello! Are you lost?" greeted a soft voice that made the human turn. Standing before Michael was a moving skeleton. A skeleton dressed in a black shirt with a skirt made of different coloured segments with long curled black hair with scarlet colored streaks and has brown eyes. It's face is reminiscent of a calavera, or for the unknowledgeable a sugar skull traditional of mexican culture and visible black vertical lines on it's red lips. The human teen recognized the skeleton as Skelita Calaveras, a native to the monster side of Mexico and part of the Fashion Entrepreneur's Club.

Michael's eyes widened in surprise as he looked at the skeleton before him and how he didn't sense her presence. He has seen other Monster High students like her, but the concept of former human remains capable of speech and communication when it shouldn't be scientifically possible still astonishes him. "No, I'm not lost. You must be Miss Skelita Calaveras?" He replied, keeping a smile on his face and doing a polite bow.

Skelita nodded, a slight blush appearing on her skull at Michael's gesture. "S-Si, I am Skelita Calaveras. And you are Michael, right? We did met when you challenged the fashion club and I accepted the challenge," she said, but unlike other monsters, she doesn't seem to bear a grudge, but rather respect. "I was surprised that you could make such simple but spooktacular combinations on your school's uniform. It was a great lesson and I didn't got the chance to thank you."

The human teen tilted his head slightly at Skelita's comment. She proposed an easy challenge with clothing articles already available. He had perfect trust in the Academy flawless uniform that stood above a simple home-made dress and his victory was quickly assured. "It is no problem, Miss Skelita. I'm just glad that you're not angered like many by my previous behaviour." he politely responded back.

Skelita giggled softly, her bony hands clasped together behind her back. "Oh, no! Not at all. Why I should be mad at you? You already apologized to the others. It takes great courage to admit your faults."

Michael chuckled lightly at Skelita's words. He didn't expect her to have such a positive outlook on his actions, especially before his public apology. "Thank you for your understanding then, Miss Skelita." He looked around again, still vigilant for any signs of an emerging Orphenoch and to the bangle on his wrist that began to emanate a small glow. This wasn't a good sign.

The skeleton girl noticed the glow on Michael's wrist and tilted her head curiously. "Is everything alright? You seem distracted," she inquired, concern evident in her voice.

Michael took a deep breath, his unfaltering smile returning. "There is nothing to worry about. The one who host us in New Salem wanted me to do a simple errand for him and wait for a package that should be arriving in any moment right now."

"Oh, I understand," nodded the skeleton girl, before her eyes widened. "But did you notice something strange around these parts?"

The human shook his head in denial, but curious what brought this question. "Unfortunately I have not. Did something happen recently that led to such a question?"

"It's my bones," she replied back.

"Your bones?" Michael repeated, feeling a little confused. "Whatever do you mean?"

"I have this sixth sense about events that are about to happen, and I've been picking up some strange vibrations lately that don't make any sense," Skelita explained. "But it's nothing concrete nowadays. Just a bad feeling."

Michael listened intently as Skelita shared her 'sixth sense' with him. He couldn't help but feel a little intrigued, especially since it seemed to align with the incoming 'visitor' he was expecting. "How recently has this happened?" he asked in a polite tone.

"It happened three times this week, but nothing seemed out of it's place," she replied as the human's eyes narrowed in return.

"Three times?" he repeated. Two Orphenoch that appeared in this week since living in this alternate reality and another one that is on it's way. Such a thing as a 'sixth sense' was mere nonsense that people used to explain mere strokes of luck and misfortune, but Michael reminded himself that he wasn't in his world anymore. There is no Academy here and the unexplained is a common occurence. But before he could formulate a theory about this fact, the royal teen noticed the glow from the bangle growing brighter.

"Unfortunately, I don't know how I can help you in your endeavor, Miss Skelita, but maybe a leisury day at the Maul could help to aleviate your concerns?" The blond human proposed, looking at the glowing bangle on his wrist once more. It slowly glowed brighter and brighter.

"Si, that is why I am here," Skelita replied with a chirping tone. "To get this feeling off my skull and to maybe inspire my next fashion project. I already have so many ideas!"

"Then I suggest you don't waste any moment now," said the human, his smile straining for a moment. "When I deliver the package that will arive, will you have time to perhaps introduce me to some of the wares in here?"

"I-It will be my pleasure!" Skelita nodded eagerly, her eyes brightening and cheeks blushing at the prospect of helping Michael and exploring the maul with him.

"Indeed. Now, please! Do go and I will come as soon as I am done," he said, gently pushing the skeleton girl towards the Maul direction. She didn't resist and was walking towards the building with a big smile on her bony cheeks.

As soon as Skelita was out of sight, Michael quickly decided to follow the glow of the bangle. But not even a few steps, the human sees that the shadow casted by a nearby parked car begins to glow a dim-green.

Soon, as expected an Orphenoch traveled through the gateway created from the shadow, landing on the ground. Unlike the previous fought creatures by Blake Wolfson, Michael could see that this one is modeled after a plant rather than an animal. Instead of the light-gray armor that he saw from the previous records, this Orphenoch has bandages around it's pale cracked body, the most prominent places being it's hands and it's upper portion of the body having spikes coming out and a giant white orb around it's covered face acting as an eye. All in all, the creature has an appearance akin to that of a cactus, most likely the plant that formed the base of it's odious form.

Michael remained still, his eyes trained on the new arrival. It was unlike anything he'd ever seen before... It was-

"Such a hideous creature," he uttered without remorse towards the downed Orphenoch. This was about to be his first official fight and it seems the creature already had suffered already. Did it fought someone or something else before it appeared in this world?

ROAR!*

Soon, the blue-blooded teen was about to get his answer. From the very same portal that the Orphenoch appeared, another figure was emerging. It was a second Orphenoch.

Unlike the first one one, it was based upon an insect, judging by it's refined light-gray armor reminiscent of an insect exoskeleton with large shoulder pads and a tattered robe around it's cracked waist. Like-wise, the creature head was composed of a cheap human-like shaped head with a giant pair of eyes above with short antenas akin to a mantis. The beastly insect lets out a shrill-like roar akin to the lifeform it's based upon, but instead of lunging at Michael, it had gone to it's fellow Orphenoch and began to stomp on it's form and claw at it like a wild animal.

The teen eyes widened in surprise at the brutal display of violence from the second Orphenoch. It seemed that this creature was not intersted in the human before him and was instead attacking its own kind.

"Ehto... That's a new one," uttered the voice of Seimei that came from the mechanic crow beak and landed on Michael's shoulder.

"They never did such a thing before?" Michael asked, looking at the one-sided fight between the two Orphenochs.

The robotic bird shooks it's head. "Nope, nada, zilch!" it exclaimed.

"Strange indeed, but it may be proof they are far from mindless?" The blond teen theorizes, his eyes on the insect Orphenoch that keeps mercilessly stomping the cactus-like Orphenoch. "Never the matter, we can't allow for civilians to see them." he said, receiving a nod from the crow.

CAW!*

CAW!*

The robotic crow flies above the heads of the Orphenochs and starts flying around them as other crows soon begin to appear from parts unknown. Pink light suddenly engulf them with the human as they all vanish from sight.

(*)

???

When the light fades away, Michael looks around, taking in his new surroundings. The air was heavy with the smell of oil and machinery, and the walls were adorned with pipes and wires that hummed and buzzed with electric power. The human teen deduced he is standing with the Orphenoch in the middle of an underground road.

"Where are we?" he asks the crow who just shrugged.

"Can't say I know. It was a bit of a random choice. Gomen!" Seimei apologized.

"It doesn't matter anyway," Michael says, looking down to see the metallic briefcase that contains the Faiz Gear. He opens it and takes out the belt and connects it to his waist. Then takes the cellphone and opens it.

(5-5-5)

Next, he pressed the ENTER button.

[Standing By!]

The phone announced.

"These creatures must be detroyed. Henshin," he calmly declared, connecting the device to the belt, sliding it.

[Complete!]

A surge of energy pulses through the red bars, releasing laser-like projections around Michael's body. With another glow, the teen was clad in the futuristic armor, becoming Faiz.

He quickly sprinted to the two Orphenoch, both still uncaring about his presence and lands a brutal front kick to the mantis-like beast. The attack connected and the monster was on it's knees but not before Faiz raised his foot sending an axe kick to the Orphenoch head and breaking it's chitin-like armor. Blue flames began to errupt from the Orphenoch broken head and traveled to the rest of it's body. The creature let out one last insect-like roar before being reduced to a mere pile of ashes on the road.

ROAR!*

Faiz quickly turned his attention to the cactus-like Orphenoch, which slowly got up from the ground and roared, fruitlessly trying to intimidate him after seeing the demise of it's attacker.

Sighing, the armored teen knew that in spite of this cheap attempt, striking at the parts surrounded by spikes was not a good idea even with the armor that would most likely withstand such an act, but still needed to be careful. The Orphenoch may still have a special ability like the ones previosuly fought by his classmate.

"You merely gave me a chance to see what this can do, foolish creature," the armored teen mocked, taking out the phone, opening it and inserting a new code.

(5-8-2-1)

And pressed the ENTER button.

(Auto Vajin-Come Closer!)

The phone announced as the Orphenoch clumsilly tried to run into the armored teen with it's spiked gauntlets raised high. Faiz easily sidestepped the attack, not even bothering to strike back and did so again and again.

VROOM!*

The sound of wheels on the road and engine made the armored teen take a distance between him and the Orphenoch as a silver bike without racer zoomed right into the Orphenoch.

The creature let out a shriek as it was knocked to the side by the impact, sending it skidding across the road and stumblimg.

Meanwhile, the motorcycle came to a stop and raced back until it was standing next to Faiz. Upon closer look the vehicle had the same emblem on the front. Red lines were present on it's body and yellow headlight, giving it the same futuristic look like it's caller.

"I never took you for the motorcycle enthusiast, gaki!" exclaimed the crow, flying and landing on the vehicle seat.

"If I didn't know what this astonishing piece of technology could do, then I wouldn't even have in first place," Faiz replied, taking a look at the Orphenoch. In spite of suffering from injuries from it's own kind and getting rammed by the motorcycle, it tried to clumsily stand back on it's legs. Behind the helmet, Michael narrowed his eyes in disgust at this attempt. He then inserted in the phone the final code that will put an end to this creature.

(5-8-2-6)

And pressed ENTER.

(Auto Vajin-Battle Mode!)

The phone announced as the crow flew from the seat and both watched as the motorcycle wheels shifted and it's back split into two and the front opened, revealing a helmet with a black visor and the vehicle gained a humanoid form with one of it's wheel sitting on the back, while the other is used in the fron as a kind of shield. This was the robotic form of Auto Vajin, the vehicle called upon by Kamen Rider Faiz.

"Finish it," Faiz commanded.

The robot received the order and it's visor flashing green before using the propulsors on it's legs to lifting itself in the air and charging towards the Orphenoch with it's shield-like wheel raised. The creature tried to defend itself, firing needles from it's spiked gauntlets, but they were no match for the robot's defense, as well as it's speed and power. The creature was hit and sent into a wall leaving a giant crack as blue flames erupted from the plant Orphenoch, sending the remaining ashes flying in all directions.

"So this is the power of Faiz?" the armored teen said, raising his hands in wonder. Blake Wolfson had such power only twice and he couldn't even defeat one of these odious anomalies without suffering a light injury, but here he was. Him, Michael von Brahm, defeated one in matter of seconds without reliance to an empowered attack and used the phone codes to call upon a transforming machine that easily ended the other invader like a poisoned plant meant to be stepped upon and burned.

"Are you daijoubu, young gaki?" asked the crow, gazing upon the battle scene. "That was a bit overkill, you know? Good thing that I didn't sent you in the other side of the sekai or somewhere else your new companion wouldn't had enough time to come." he said, trying to sound wise, but couldn't contain his excitement and small tint of fear at seeing the potential of 'Mickey'. Maybe he should keep his eyes on this one.

New Salem - Maul

After the battle, Seimei returned Michael back to the parking where he took him. Now that he had defeated the Orphenochs, he shall now find more details about the so-called 'sixth sense' of Skelita Calaveras and the promise of spending the time with her at the Maul.

Under no normal circumstances he would want to venture and associate with the monster side residents except in the school more than necessary, but now exceptions must be made.

He easily found her among the crowd of different monster species and let himself be guided by the skeloton girl in the tour of the Maul.

From visiting the stores that specialise in fashion and materials to the kiosks that sell typical products such as phone cases for ICoffins and ones that sell ice cream with flavors that normally would make a human gag in disgust, the blue-blooded teen was a true gentleman born from royalty and if he saw one item that caught the attention of the moving skeleton, he bought it from her with his own money from the allowance given to them by Seimei when they started going to Monster High. Of course the monster side would have a different currency from humanity, but this didn't matter as Michael didn't care how much he would spend as long as he obtains the information he needs.

The rest of the rendezvous was spent trying to know each other. While Michael of course didn't reveal his origin as one from a world where only humans exist, thus, he created a version of his life mixed with the guise created by Seimei. He, of course, revealed his noble roots and gladly told her more about the pride and legacy of his family, the Academy that he would one day inherit when the time would have come.

Of course, Skelita was overjoyed to know more about one of the humans that recently transferred to Monster High, and while the only one she had the most contact with was Michael, she was glad that she met such a kind human who not only wasn't afraid to admit his mistakes, but who also loved very much his family and wanted to continue the legacy they left behind for him to inherit.

She in exchange told him about her own family and how she chose to go out into her own and see more of the world and improve her fashion. During one of those travels, she met her best friends Jinafire Long and Clawdeen Wolf in Scaris, the monster side version of Paris, France. Since then, she enrolled in Monster High and has been enjoying every moment be it the simple walks in the hall or creating a club that specialises in fashion with her friends. She still misses her family, but she knows as long as she's got her friends at Monster High, she can do anything.

At the end of the day, she confided to him about her sixth sense. When a major event happens, the bones that form her skeleton clang together, vibrating and causing discomfort. But ever since this week had begun, she is getting this sensation more than the usual, but there is nothing out of sorts and it's making her worried that either she is losing her marbles or something really bad is about to happen in the future.

On his side, Michael deduced the intervals perfectly alligned to when the previously fought Orphenoch manifested through this week. How is possible for such a thing from an animated skeleton, the human still doesn't know, but certain animal species have a deeper connection to the surrounding thanks to their heightened senses which allow detect incoming dangers or even predict weather patterns. Maybe it is something similar at hand. He'll need to look further into it.

He promised her that he would look into such things in order to help her, but the skeloton girl was too enthusiastic and immediatly gave him a hug. The blue-blooded teenager found himself slightly taken aback by the sudden display of affection, but he returned it nonetheless, courtesy of good manners. He knew how much it meant for her to trust him and soon broke the hug, leaving her with a blush on her skull. How is such a thing possible when she doesn't have skin or any muscles, he also doesn't know, but they parted ways as Michael soon got inside the cofe shop in the Maul.

Mr. Seimei told them that the shop can exist in both places at once, meaning when he got in, he was soon greeted by their host and his classmates, all sporting wide and disbelieving looks on their faces.

"Is something the matter?" he inquired to his schoolmates and fox-eared host. They all must have watched his proficiency in combat against the Orphenoch and are most likely astounded by the sheer difference in his and Blake Wolfson's ability to wield the Faiz Gear. That is the most likely and obvious explication.

"I-I'm proud for you, gaki, but never in my jinsei..." tried to say Seimei, his eyes still fixed on the screen, not even finishing his sentence.

"Dude..." uttered Leon agape. "You... are... NO WAY!!!!!!!" he shouted so hard, making all present winch at the volume. "You are the firt one with a date in here?!!! I don't believe it!!!"

"...Pardon?" Michael asked, unsure of what he meant.

"I never thought you were the type that was even capable of loving anyone or anything but the Academy, dude!" Leon shouted, pressing his ICoffin to the blond teen face. In the screen, instead of the evidence of his clear superiority and capacity to handle the Orphenochs, there were photos with him and Skelita all through their outing in the Maul. "Who would have thought that of all of us you'd be the first one with a monster girlfriend! I'm freakin jealous, man!"

As the blue-blooded student tried to process what Leon was saying, he couldn't help but feel a mix of confusion and distaste. A monster girlfriend? He didn't think of Skelita Calaveras in that way. She was just an aquintance that proved to have an interesting trait that could help them in detecting incoming Orphenoch, that is all.

Michael coughed, getting their attention. "Unfortunately for you, old friend, me and Miss Skelita are not such a thing. She merely was feeling unwell this past days and I proposed to spend time with her. That is all." he said directly with a serious look devoid of any smile.

"So, you're not dating a cute skeleton girl?" Leon asked to which Michael confirmed with a firm nod. "Oh, okay... But still! I won't lose against you in the dating game, dude! Before you admit that you like the bony-type, I will get an awesome and spooktacular ghoulfriend waaay before you do!"

Michael couldn't help but roll his eyes at Leon's antics and vocabulary unbeffiting an Academy student. "You do that, Leon. I'll focus on my studies and protecting this world from the threat of the Orphenoch instead of a superficial relationship that could expose us in the process." As he said that, a chime sounded, indicating the arrival of a message. Michael checked his communicator, finding an unexpected message from Skelita herself after they exchanged contacts.

Skelita Calaveras: Hey, Michael! Just wanted to say thanks you again. I had a spooky time with you and got inspired to make a new outfit!

Next she sent the image of a sketch detailing an uniform similar to that of the Academy, but it was for a girl, obviously by the size modifications and the skirt with a pair of high-heels.

He looks at the message and the sketch, feeling a bit surprised but also pleased by the similarities to that of his own uniform.

Michael: The sketch looks astounding, Miss Skelita. I cannot wait to see the final product.

He types, sending an emoji with a smile, but notices that Seimei and Leon were looking at him with puzzled expressions. "What is it?"

"He's talking to her, isn't he?" Leon asked their host that nodded with crossed arms.

"Zettai ni definetly, my friend."

"Man!" exclaimed the teen, returning to his chair and sulking.

"Your behaviour is lamentable," reprimanded Michael, looking at him with disappointment. "We should be focusing on our studies and training to combat the Orphenoch, not on petty rivalries and superficial relationship with the natives of this world."

"Yeah, yeah, I know," grumbled Leon, not taking his eyes off the screen where Skelita was on her not-date with the blue-blooded human.

Well, today we can say that I as well as all of you have learned a precious lesson. Don't judge a book by it's cover. A classic morale that lived and aged well, just like yours truly.~ And unlike another wizard that I know and his name starts with a Mer and a Lin.~

I never for once believed that young 'Mickey' was such a schemer, I tell you that! For a second I was worried that our friend over there had some kind of ankoku side, but it seems I was wrong. He just didn't want to miss his date.~

That's sweet, but, I will continue to keep an eye on him, just in case.

Next time, be prepared to watch a young soul struggle to find approval in a school that gives him the samuke in every moment!

A bit edgy, but I think with such a namae, there's no better spoiler for who's next on this monogatari.

Can you guess who is it~?
