Digimon are back again
Sid: While Haru and the others were trapped by Samudramon and Darkdramon, the older digidestined were facing with Fanglongmon, who was on a mission to destroy them. None of their digimon could even put a scratch in him. Dorugoramon finally managed to defeat Darkdramon and was able to hurry off to help the others. By the time they got there, all the digimon were already defeated, and appeared to be rendered powerless. That means Haru is the only thing standing between Fanglongmon and what could be global destruction.
"It's One's Fate"
"Please tell me you have something yet?" Sid questioned as he need to know if there was anything in Hiori's and Gennai's research. "Have you found anything to restore our two worlds? It doesn't look like this Fanglongmon is going to help any time soon."
"I'm afraid not. I hate to say it, but Fanglongmon really is the only one who can restore everything to normal." Gennai said. "I can't imagine the Sovereign are going to hold out much longer. I estimate they've already went through about 75% of their power keeping the two worlds from crashing into each other."
"And he's in the city right now. You might want to get out there." Hiori said. Not what Sid wanted to hear, but it looks like they really need Fanglongmon.
"Are you ready to get back in the fight?" Sid asked Panmon.
"Of course. I always wanted to be the strongest digimon, and this might be my best chance to prove that." Panmon said as he wasn't backing down yet. It's going to take everyone to beat Fanglongmon.
...
The Park
The only one left of Fanglongmon's six guardians was Samudramon. The others were finishing this matter while Haru was dealing with Fanglongmon. Still, Samudramon wasn't going to go down without a fight. Anubismon, Gryphonmon, and JetGarudamon tried attacking him, but he was able to knock each of them away so that he could smash his swords into the ground.
"Gaia Reactor!" Samudramon unleashed the power and caused an explosion that blew them all except Kentaurosmon away. Kentaurosmon held his ground until Samudramon came directly at him. Samudramon tried attacking with his blades, but Kentaurosmon held up his shield and blocked them. Samudramon tried to push down, but Kentaurosmon held his ground.
"Stop this at once, Samudramon! You can't win this fight! You are outnumbered!" Kentaurosmon suggested.
"It does not matter that there are more of you when I can hold my own against each of you. Numbers do not matter." Samudramon said. "I will fight to the end for Lord Fanglongmon."
"You leave me no other choice." Kentaurosmon said as there was only one way to end this. Kentaurosmon twisted his shield and aimed right at him.
"Icy Breath!" Kentaurosmon unleashed a fierce and powerful blizzard from his shield. He had it focus completely around Samudramon and he was starting to be encased in ice.
"My body is turning to ice!" Samudramon claimed as he tried to resist, but he couldn't. The blizzard was too powerful and soon his entire body was frozen solid.
"I'm sorry." Kentaurosmon said as he put an end to this. He smashed his shield against the ice and Samudramon completely shattered with the last one of Fanglongmon's top digimon finally defeated. The victory had to be short as there was still much they had to do.
"Great work! Now let's hurry! Haru and the others might need help!" Amanda said as they had to jump straight into the next fight. All of them climbed on to their partners and hurried off. Mary's parents were hoping for the best, and they all hoped they weren't too late to help their friends.
...
The Fight
Haru and Dorugoramon took a stand against Fanglongmon. They have to stop him from destroying their world, but they're pressed for time. Against the most powerful digimon ever, they have to do whatever they can. That's what he's doing as Dorugoramon charged right at him and unleashed multiple strikes right on Fanglongmon's head, but he pushed him away.
"Don't back down, Dorugoramon!" Haru said.
"Why do you persist when it's pointless?" Fanglonmon questioned.
"We're not giving up until we convince you you're wrong!" Haru claimed. "You can't just destroy an entire world! It will hurt the Digital World more than you think! If we have to beat that sense into you, we will!"
"Doru Djinn!" Dorugoramon unleashed his own attack and it blasted against Fanglongmon, but it did nothing. Nothing they've done seems to be working against Fanglongmon.
"Don't back down! Keep the attacks going and let him see what happens when digimon and humans work together!" Haru claimed.
"You got it!" Dorugoramon agreed as the two of them kept on attacking.
"That's it, Haru! Don't let this guy have his way!" Davis said. "Veemon, are you ready to get back in the fight just yet?"
"Sorry, Davis. Fanglongmon did a real number on us." Veemon said as none of the other digimon are able to help them fight. That means it's all on Haru and Dorugoramon for the time being.
"Supreme Courage!" Dorugoramon tried to attack him once more, but Fanglongmon smashed his tail against him and knocked him to the ground with Haru falling off him. Then, Dorugoramon smashed his claw against him and kept him pinned down.
"A valiant effort, but it's all for nothing." Fanglongmon claimed. "While I do understand destroying an entire world would detrimental, it is necessary for this situation. It is all for the good of the Digital World. Our two worlds have coexisted for far too long. The Digital World has suffered from the existence of this world."
"This world didn't exactly have it easy either!" Haru called. "A lot of humans were fearful of the digimon! A lot of them never even knew your world existed until the digimon came to this world and started causing some trouble!"
"Fanglongmon, it's true!" Tai called as he tried using those diplomacy skills to try and persuade Fanglongmon to give up on this goal of his. "You say that the negative emotions of humans, such as fear, affected the Digital World and that's what caused some of the more evil and vicious digimon to form in the Digital World. However, that fear came from the actions of the Digital World when some of those very same digimon attacked! A lot of people didn't understand what was happening!"
"Many humans are still against digimon, but that's only because they don't understand digimon." Kari claimed. "A lot of people think digimon were just vicious monsters and were considered dangerous. That's where the fear comes from, but that can change if we try to get to know each other. Many humans don't know how intelligent digimon really are, but things can change for the better once they do."
"And what if there isn't?" Fanglongmon questioned. "There will always be conflict. You claim our two kinds can live together, but it sounds more like to me that it can't happen. We'll constantly be at odds with each other, but my way will put an end to this." He began to put the pressure down on Dorugoramon and treid to crush him.
"Couldn't you get him off me first?!" Dorugoramon complained with the pressure coming down on him. Fanglongmon would have crushed him to data, but that was when the other four megas arrived and pushed together to get Fanglongmon off Dorugoramon.
"Haru, we're here!" Mary called as she and the others showed up.
"Is everyone okay?" Ben questioned.
"More or less." Dorugoramon said as he got back up.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, but we managed to defeat Samudramon. Only Fanglongmon remains now." Kentaurosmon claimed.
"More traitors. Another reason that the human world should be destroyed." Fanglongmon said. "You convince digimon to turn against their own kind."
"We're not turning against the digimon." Anubismon claimed.
"We just simply don't agree with what you are doing." Gryphonmon claimed.
"We're fighting for the humans because we don't believe they should be destroyed." JetGarudamon claimed.
"The digimon you have fought were destroyed by you. They were fighting for the sake of their world just as I am." Fanglongmon claimed. "They were fighting for the very world we all came from and yet you destroyed them. Their downfall is on you."
"What about Wizardmon?!" Gatomon screamed as she wanted answers now. "You were the one responsible for what happened to Wizardmon, aren't you?! You revived him and turned him into Mistymon to become your warrior, and it was against his will!"
"Wizardmon...? Oh yes. I remember him." Fanglongmon said. "He was a good digimon, but he made the ultimate sacrifice for a mere human." He claimed with Kari being offended since he sacrificed himself for her.
"Hey! That human happens to be her right here!" Davis claimed to defend Kari. "If Wizardmon didn't do what he did, both she and Gatomon would have been destroyed at the hands of an evil digimon name Myotismon!"
"Sounds more like the cause and effect of you humans coming back full circle, but Wizardmon stepped in when he shouldn't." Fanglongmon claimed. "I didn't believe a digimon like Wizardmon should be gone forever, so I revived him. However, I needed a warrior to aid me in this. That is why I helped him become Mistymon. Despite that, he still sided with the humans. It wasn't easy, but I had to alter his mind so he would side with me. What happened to him now is because of you humans! I gave him a second chance at life and look at what you did to him!"
"What we did?! Are you serious?!" Haru questioned. "Wizardmon asked us to do that because he didn't want to hurt his friends! You were the one that messed him up and forced him to do something he didn't want to do!"
"It was all for a good cause." Fanglongmon claimed.
"I've got bad news for you. The crazy ends now!" Haru said and charged right in.
"Haru, wait!" Amanda called, but he didn't stop for anything and jumped back on Dorugoramon.
"Come on, Dorugoramon! I guess we'll have to beat even more sense into him!" Haru said. "If we can show him how humans and digimon can work together, he might be more oblige to help us, but it does mean we're going to have to keep fighting him to show that."
"No problem!" Dorugoramon said as he flew up into the air. "Try some of this!" He called as he fired a powerful energy blast at him, but it didn't do much against him.
"We've got to fight back. We can't let him continue what he's doing." Kentaurosmon claimed.
"Inferno Frost!" Kentaurosmon fired a series of arrows at him with the arrows bursting into ice upon impact and trying to encase him with the other three surrounding him.
"Plasma Arrow!"
"Solo Roar!"
"Amemit!" All three of them attacked from different directions, but Fanglongmon didn't seem bothered by any of them. He easily freed himself from the ice and got his own attack ready.
"Emperor's Mace!" Fanglongmon swung his tail around and smashed it against each one of them. Despite getting hit by a massive tail, they all refused to fall to the likes of him.
"Why do you digimon persist on fighting for these humans?" Fanglongmon questioned. "Have they truly turned you against your fellow digimon or have they deprived you of your freewill?"
"What? It's not like that at all." Dorugoramon said.
"We fight for them because they have become our friends." Gryphonmon claimed.
"It is because we don't believe this world deserves to be destroyed." JetGarudamon claimed.
"Even the four Digimon Sovereign believe that our two worlds can come together." Anubismon claimed. "The Digital World itself even wants that. That is how we were able to find our human partners."
"That's right." Amanda said as she pulled out her digivice and they all remembered some of the things they've learned. "The Digital World itself wants that. It is through it and the Digimon Sovereign that we were able to meet our partners to begin with."
"That's right! So why do you think it's ridiculous?!" Mary called.
"Because it's all part of a greater force than me: fate." Fanglongmon claimed.
"Fate?! What are you talking about now?!" Haru questioned.
"I'm well aware of the relations digimon and humans do have." Fanglongmon questioned. "The reason children are chosen to be partners with digimon is because of the vast amount of potential they have. Then, once that potential has been fulfilled, the digimon and humans are forced apart. As you humans evolve, in what you call "growing up", the nature of the relationship changes and the digimon vanishes. That's what happened to some of you, is it not?" He was right. It happened to Agumon and the others, and the only reason they are here now is because of everything that went on with Hiori. "The digimon that have sided with humans such as you all have vanish. Humans and digimon are forced apart."
"We know that, but that's what we're fighting for!" Haru called. "We want to change all of that so that close friends like that won't be forced to part ways!"
"That is what you call "ridiculous". It is the way of fate, and no one can defy fate." Fanglongmon claimed. "Humans and digimon are fated to be at odds with each other."
"You think that's fate?! That's not fate!" Haru claimed.
"What else would you call it?" Fanglongmon questioned. "Fate is a great and mysterious force. It is what is to come and is unavoidable. Fate works in mysterious ways that no one can truly predict or foresee. Everyone has their own personal fate. Some do interact, but there is only one fate that we all share. A fate that applies to each and everyone of us... Our inevitable demise."
"What's your point? What does fate have to do with right now?" Haru questioned.
"As I just claimed, humans and digimon are fated to be at odds with each other." Fanglongmon said.
"But if you say that it's fate, why are you trying to change it by destroying our world?" Amanda questioned.
"Because perhaps this is the work of fate." Fanglongmon said. "Perhaps all that has happened up until now was meant to happen. Perhaps I am meant to destroy this world and break this conflict once and for all."
"No! That's not fate! That's just some crazy excuse you made to try and justify your actions!" Haru argued. "I don't know much about this fate, but I'll tell you how this really works! We make our own choices, and what comes is the consequences of those choices!"
"Your confusing fate with destiny." Fanglongmon said. "The difference is that fate is a force of something that can't be controlled or avoided. There is no choice to be made. When it comes to fate, choices are a mere illusion. Everyone is guided by fate. Everything that has happened in our lives has been decided by fate, just as it is fate that humans and digimon are meant to stay apart. I am merely aiding in fate's decision, and it was fate that brought us to now."
"First, you say you're doing all of this because of humans bringing chaos to the Digital World, and now you're saying it's all because of fate?! Do you even hear yourself?!" Haru questioned as he was getting irritated.
"Haru? Are you okay?" Dorugoramon questioned as he could feel that something was bothering him now. It sounds like Haru has been holding back on something, but now he's letting it all out.
"You're saying that we all have our own fate, that everything that has happened in our lives is because of fate?" Haru questioned. "If that's true, wouldn't it mean that we all have done something that caused those fates?"
"I suppose..." Fanglongmon said.
"So then tell me, since you seem to have all the answers, what did I do deserve the life fate has dealt me?!" Haru called as he looked back on his life. "I lost my parents when I was just a mere baby! I had to wander around this world alone, and it wasn't easy! I had to try and survive on my own! For so long, I've wondered why. Why did something like this happen to me?! What did I do to deserve something like this?!" Everyone was perplexed. They had no idea Haru kept something like to himself. "Despite that, I relied on my intuition and trusted my heart and my instincts. I needed to so I could survive in this world. That still didn't replace what I really needed. I had to constantly see around me to see things I didn't have that others did: friends and a family. Then, I met Dorumon and the others, and my life began to change. I wasn't so alone anymore. Now... Now, you want to take that from me?! You're saying it's all because of fate?! If I hadn't met Dorumon, I would be an orphaned? If the digimon never came to this world, my parents might still be alive and I wouldn't have lived in this world alone?! Was I simply fated to be alone in this world just because I was born?! Why, Fanglongmon?!"
"Haru..." Mary said as they couldn't believe all the pain Haru probably felt for all these years. They had no idea and he always acted like it never really bothered him.
"Answer me, Fanglongmon?! How is any of that my fate?!" Haru cried.
"All I can say is that things happened because they were meant to. Whatever it was you went through was because it should have been." Fanglongmon said as he practically tried to brush it all off with Haru getting agitated.
"Don't listen to him, Haru!" Haru and the others then looked up to a building and saw Panthermon and Sid up there.
"Sid..." Haru said.
"I had no idea you were carrying something like that." Sid said. "Still, those are questions that you'll never get an answer to. Believe me, I know. That doesn't mean it's fate. We're not here because of fate. We're all here because we wanted to be! This guy is just saying it's fate to distract you, deter you from what we need to do!"
"Sid..." Haru said.
"Look at me!" Sid said. "Remember how I was when we met? I refused to join you guys because I didn't believe we were bound together just because of the digivices and the digimon we all shared, and I still think that. I'm here because I CHOSE to be! I'm here because I WANT to be! We all chose to be here! It's not fate, it's a part of life! Think of it like this! Good things lead to bad things, but bad things lead to good things! If things hadn't gone the way they did, we never would have met and never became friends! Plus, the digimon played a large part in that! They made our lives better! This guy is just saying a bunch of other crazy stuff to distract you from what we're fighting for! In the end, it doesn't matter! Just trust your heart like you always have!" Sid was right. Fanglongmon was saying it was fate to distract him, and it almost worked, but Haru's resolve is strong.
"You know what, I don't care if it's fate or not." Haru claimed to Fanglongmon. "The digimon have made my life better. It made the lives of all our friends better. If you think I'm just going to stand around and let you destroy a world where humans and digimon can share, you're wrong! Dorugoramon, show him what we're fighting for!"
"You got it, my friend!" Dorugoramon called as he flew right in to attack, but Fanglongmon smashed his head against him and knocked him back.
"Whether it is fate or by my choice, there is one thing that's for certain: what I'm doing is for the good of all digimon and must be done!" Fanglongmon claimed.
"And what we're doing is for the good of both!" Panthermon claimed as he flew right in and tried to attack with his saber, but Fanglongmon bit down on it and tossed him aside.
"We've got your back!" Anubismon said as they all tried attacking Fanglongmon, but they were still barely doing any damage against him.
"Don't attack like that! Attack simultaneously, combine your powers!" Sid ordered with all of them going along with it.
"Doru Djinn!"
"Annihilation Slash!"
"Amemit!"
"Plasma Arrow!"
"Solo Roar!"
"Inferno Frost!" All six of them attacked at once with their attacks combining into one powerful blast with it making contact with Fanglongmon and actually pushed him back.
"Take that!" Haru said as it looked like they got him this time. Fanglongmon was being pushed by the attack, but even that wasn't enough to stop him as he broke through the attack.
"Enough!" Fanglongmon shouted as he got frustrated.
"Yellow Circle!"
"Oh boy! Everyone hold onto something!" Tai called. Haru and Sid jumped off their digimon as Fanglongmon used his own attack and created another typhoon. All six of them were pulled inside and were taking some damage. Fanglongmon added the finishing touches by smashing his tail against all of them. All of them were forced to change back to their rookie forms with them crashing against the ground. After all that, they still couldn't stop him.
"We might be fighting for something meaningful to each of us, but the one with the stronger resolve will be the one that wins, and that is clearly me! It's over!" Fanglongmon said as it might actually be over, but Haru refuses to accept that.
