Authers Note: hello readers, I hope you've enjoyed the story so far because holy crap last chapter took forever :p And while I only had small amounts of formatting issues compared to chapter 10 it still took me a while to get it semi correct but this app is dogwater for that and I dont know why but whatever.Also i wanna mention that the Cerberus shown was not the same one dante fought in three but a decendent of the one from 5 so it using flame wasnt out of the question. So what did we think of Ruby activating Devil Trigger, I wanted to pay homage to how Dante did it in 3 so for the 3rd time we had a good ole stab ruby through the chest moment :) Ill try and see if I can find some concept art or make some if that doesnt work for it but I dont wanna reveal what it looks like yet :p anyway onto comments then the real show.

AidenValdovinos3: Im glad you liked Ruby calling Cerberus names because I struggled to come up with ones I thought fit her character and that where actually funny, and I 100% agree that the banter between characters is what makes parts of devil may cry, what it is.
Ranjira1988: Yeah I tried my best to think about how they would react to each other in this scenario, so I more or less decided to treat them like Dante and Vergil... yknow if they didnt have a on sight agreement to kill each other :p

Chapter 11: Cooling Off
The bright light in front of me died down a little, but what I found in my hands was a very peculiar weapon. It looked like a three-headed nunchuck connected by a ring and ice. "Heh, I guess you really are like me, why dont you give it a spin?" I heard Tony's voice from inside my head call out. Shaking the notion away... for now, I ran to go check on Wiess.
"Wiess, you ok?" I called out to her. She looked up at me, a little dazed, but shook it off and said, "Did you at least get the number of the truck that ran me over?" I laughed and extended my hand to help her up, "Yeah I got em." She then grabbed my hand and let me pull her to her feet. "Ahhh-" Wiess let out startled. I looked at her a bit worried until she waved her hand out a bit. "Sorry, V isn't happy about whatever you just did to kill the mutt," She said, holding her head. I then nodded and pulled her along to the cliff.I then heard Tony speak, "Hey kid, whatever you do, dont mention how you killed fido to wacky glasses up there, just trust me I'll explain later," he then went silent in my mind again. It was another 5 minutes of walking that found Wiess and myself at the top of the cliff. I then saw Yang talking frantically to Ozpin and Glynda, both of whom seemed nervous. "Ozpin, you have to send someone, she even said that thing was out of everyones league!" I heard her say in a worried tone. I then noticed that her partner had yet to stir and decided I needed to talk to Tony to figure out what was setting her off like that. "Yang! Were fine, no need to send in the calvary," I yelled. Everyone who was conscious turned their heads to us in a bit of shock. Yang then sprinted over to me and wrapped me in a large hug.
"Ruby, Im so glad you're ok!" She yelled happily. "What in the fuck were you thinking!" she then yelled her eyes turning red and the air warming slightly, her hug now a crushing grip. "Yang- Air!" I squeaked out in a gasping breath. When she lessened her grip on me and poor Wiess, who was now coughing a lung up on the ground next to me, I said," Look, Im sorry but that... thing was way too much for anyone else other than myself and Wiess, and you can see the shape we're both in," I said, gesturing to Wiess and myself our clothes singed and frozen.
Yangs questions while answered was not satisfied, but she let it go, for now. "Miss Rose, what happened? When the sky turned dark, our cameras stopped functioning," Ozpin said with a bit of trepidation. I thought for a moment and decided that after his blunder with the maiden, I needed to be more careful of him. "I... I dont know, It was a really large grimm that emitted a strange energy, but it's dead now, so dont worry," I said with a serious look. He looked at me for a moment and then hummed to himself. "Well, regardless you all pass, good work, let us commence the welcoming ceremony," he said. He then started to walk away from the cliff, and every student present followed. It was about an hour from the time we walked away to the clif till my name was called along with Wiess, Yang, and Blake, who, while eminencely shaken, was now thankfully awake. "Well, I was certainly surprised at the tenacity of the members of this team, I must say I am excited to see how you bunch preform, and with that said, I name Ruby Rose, the leader of team Rwby," Ozpin said after we'd all gotten up on the stage. I was a bit shocked as I was normally a lone wolf, but I shrugged and nodded. I then looked to gauge my teams reactions, Yang looked like she'd won a million dollars, Wiess looked... confused but not displeased, and blake looked like the cannery the cat ate, 'I really need to talk to her tonight... actually make that all of them,' I thought to myself.
Another hour went by, and the ceremony was over, and we'd been assigned our room. It wasn't small but definitely a little cramped between partners. when we all walked in and I closed the door suddenly the room went still and I was transposed into my mind. "Tony?" I called out after I got my bearings. "Sorry, kiddo, I needed to talk to you before you talked to your team, we have much to discuss," He said, giving me an almost serious look.
"Well, I ain't getting any younger, so speak away," I said, matching his tone. He looked to be in deep thought for a moment, and then he spoke, "Dante, my name is Dante, I trust you enough to know that now," He said quietly. I blinked at his words but nodded, "Alright then, Dante, I have a question, What the hell are you?" I asked. "I am a Demon, or at least half, my father was a demon by the name of sparda, and my mother a human... her name was Eva," He said, an almost grieving look when he mentioned his mother. I decided to move away from her as a topic, "So then what does that make me?" I asked. "Well, that is a bit complicated you see, deep down, our souls are the same. We're both Dante and yet different, just as we're both ruby, and diffrent, its complicated but your demonic power doesn't come from your blood but your soul," he said with a pondering look.
"Im gonna ignore the fact that you said we're the same person for now and ask one more question, who the hell was three eyes from earlier and why did I feel as though my blood boiled at his appearance?" I asked. He sighed and looked at me for a moment, "His name is Mundus and he's the reason my mothers dead, our soul was delt a wound so grievous that it nerver forgot its anger, just like Wiess, started to shiver from his presence, its the same reason," He said with a bit of contempt. "He is one of the most dangerous beings to have ever walked the realm known as hell, he is not to be trifled with, you thought that Cerberus was difficult to kill, Mundus is worth a million of those easily, it took everything I had to seal him let alone kill him the first time," He said with a sigh.
"Anyway, dont worry about him for now, he's playing a game of chess and we've moved a piece in a way he didnt want, it'll take a bit for him to bounce into a different direction," Dante said. "Sorry, one last question, and then I need to have a talk with my team, Why did Blake set off like that and around me and Wiess as well as when Cerberus showed up, I can't figure it out," I asked with a confused look. "Well kiddo thats a good one, from what I can gather she's super sensitive to demonic energy and well, you and Wiess ooze it just by existing, maybe learn to reign it in a bit before you have that talk with her," He said. With a slow hand movement, the world around me went back to the new dorm room for my team."Well, that was disorienting," I said and stumbled a bit but caught myself before anyone noticed. I then look up and decide to nip this in the bud before bed. "Hey, guys, we need to talk," I said, Wiess looked to me with a bit of nervousness but nodded in agreement. "Sure, Ruby, what's up?" Yang asked, confusion on her face. Blake looked stand off-ish at my words. I then decided to try something and focused on the energy that flowed through me, I then tried to ball it up inside and noticed it seemed to do the trick as Blake looked confused but no longer scared.
"Come sit with me here," I said and ploped down on the floor with my legs crossed. When they all did it, I nodded. "So, before I begin, any questions from what happened today?" I asked lazily. Blake nervously raised her hand, "W-What the hell was that thing from earlier?" she asked. I internally sighed, "That... was a Demon, and a high class one if im not wrong," I said. Yang looked shocked for a second, then said, "o-oh nice prank Rubes c'mon theres no such things as demons." She then tried to chuckle away the notion. After a moment of her nervously chuckling, she noticed my face and its serious look, "Oh gods, you weren't joking..." she said, looking afraid, whether that was fear of demons or that I'd gone loonie I didn't know. I looked at her seriously, "I wish that were the case, but no, demons are real, I dont know their origin or anything like that, but they come from a place called hell, and thats the first time in documented history they've arrived here," I said with a serious look. "That one that apeared earlier was a type of demon called Cerberus, generally speaking they have control over ice but I think that one was a prince due to its control over fire too," I said.
"There's hundreds of thousands if not millions of types of them out there, and those red glowing eyes were their god basically, his name is Mundus a being thats so incredibly out of any hunters league, its not even funny," I said further explaining. "Even Wiess and I couldn't take him together with the backup of every high class huntsmen and huntress... thankfully, he's got bigger fish to fry at the moment, so we have time to worry about him later," I said with a contemplative look. "R-ruby... you keep mentioning you and Wiess as being, like, top of the food chain or something... why?" Yang asked nervously.
With a long sigh, I look at Wiess, who nervously looks at me before nodding slowly. "It's because Wiess and I are the same... in a way, our power isn't that of aura like you or Blake. It comes from something completely different," I said calmly. "W-well, what is it?" Blake asked, confused and worried. "... It's the same energy that Demon was using earlier... It's because Wiess and I house a demon each from before remnant's written history," I said softly. "... Y-you're not kidding, are you..." Yang asked after a moment of stunned silence. "No, I can prove it," I said. I then stood up and tugged on that energy in my stomach, feeling it activate for a moment as my body rapidly changed from Devil trigger to my normal state, showing my transformed state off.
It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop. Yang decided to speak first. "R-rubes?" she asked, unable to say more than that. "... Yes, Yang?" I replied. "A-are... are you still... you?" she asled nervously. "Yes, but... this has always been me... my soul is that of a demon... I-im not technically a human, I guess," I said a little worried inwardly that Yang would hate me. That notion was squashed instantly as Yang hugged me tightly, soft tears falling down her face.
After a few moments of letting Yang hug me for comfort, I looked at Blake to see her looking... nervously at me and Wiess. "You can say what you're thinking, Blake," I said, looking at her eyes. "A-and here I thought I had issues with hiding who I was..." she said nervously as she undid her bow softly. Two black cat ears wiggled atop her head. "S-since you both shared with me... I-i'll share with you..." she said nervously. I nodded with a soft grin, and Wiess just nodded with a blank look.
With that out of the way, I decided to broach one more topic as I turned to wiess. "Wiess, Tony told me his real name," I said seriously. She looked shocked as the other two memebers looked at me, confused about who tony was. "His name is Dante... a-and V's his older brother..." I said nervously.
