This chapter was super unplanned but when I was making the last chapter, I noticed that throughout this story, Gwen was being the who big sister to the team, besides Ms. Marvel as she serves as the best friend, and how she has been teaching them a lesson of life, like Diana about the responsibility in chapter 4 (i know it was a lesson for all of them but it felt like more Diana), Karen being brave in chapter 8, Jess having a second chance to give in chapter 14, and Kara to listen to advice in chapter 15. Even though I'd been amazed by this while writing, I noticed Zatanna was the only one who didn't get any big sister advice from Gwen so I decided to make one. This chapter is kind of a mix of the story of Zee getting her powers plus the Illusions of grandeur and some few original takes based on some few marvel series
PS. The only members of this line up of the X-men that were not introduced were Professor X, who was only mentioned, Marvel Girl/Jean Grey, and Wolverine. So I thought of introducing another x-men character for them to meet.

It was day time in Metropolis high where Gwen was just walking to class until Kamala ran in. "Hey Gwendy, guess what!" Kamala shouted. "What's up?" Gwen asked. "Zee is inviting us to go see her and her father in a magic show tonight!" Kamala said while holding a flier. "Oh wow, that's great for her." Gwen said. "And the best part is, before my curfew, so I can go, but I was hoping that you would come." Kamala asked. Gwen thought for a second until then. "You know what, sure, I'll be down." Gwen said. Then the two were taking class when the teacher came in. "Good morning class, before we start I'd like to introduce a brand new transfer student, this is Noriko Ashida, from Japan, or as she goes by Nori," the teacher said. "Go ahead Nori, go ahead and introduce yourself." She told the girl which then she was standing up, appearing to be a 15 year old Japanese girl with blue hair, blue eyes, and white skin. She wore a yellow sweater, a black skirt, with gray leggins, and white sneakers. "Um, Hi" Nori said while waving shyly. Gwen noticed how shy she can be. "Is everything alright with her?" Kamala asked. "I think she's just shy, or maybe she's been through alot." Gwen said. "How can you tell?" Kamala asked. "Just do." Gwen said.
After School the girls were in the locker room getting ready for their next class where suddenly, Nori was being picked on by Doris as she was trying to steal her backpack. "Quit it, Doris, give me back my backpack." Nori said as she was trying to pull her backpack back. "Come on Ashida, you have to wet yourself." Doris said as she chuckled evilly. Gwen did an angry look as she stepped in and said, "Hey! Leave her alone!" Gwen shouted as she stepped in to stand up to Doris for Nori. Doris glared at Gwen to intimate her, but Gwen glared at her back. Doris then just gave up and said, "Fine. Whatever. Later Loser."as she let go of Nori's backpack and just left. "Thank you." Nori said. "No problem, Nori," Gwen said. "Im Gwen by the way, nice to meet you." She introduced herself to herself. "And my name is Kamala." Kamala said. "Hi," Nori whispered bashfully. "You're new around people are you?" Kamala asked. Nori shakes her head no, "I'm a little nervous after I left home." she explained. "I know how you feel." Gwen said, reminding her of how she left her hometown. So what brings you here?" she asked. Nori looked around if there were any people then she whispered, "I'm looking for the superhero girls." The two girls were shocked about this and started to play along. "Uh… what for?" Kamala asked.
Soon the three girls were brought into the girls bathroom for a little more privacy. "If I show you will you not tell?" Nori asked. The two girls looked at each other in confusion and then said, "Sure?" in usion. Soon then, Nori's fingers started to sparkle and then absorbed the electricity in the bathroom, which caused the lights to flicker and then she shocked the garbage can. "Woah!" Kamala said. "Yeah, Wow!" Gwen said. "I'm a mutant." Nori said. "No way!" Kamala said. "But wait, why come here?" Gwen asked. "I left my home from Japan because I discovered my mutant powers last month and I was afraid that bad people would take me away or harm my family, but I did hear about the Xavier institute to help mutants like me." Nori explained. "But i can't go out through Metropolis to New York exposed if someone tries to attack me, so that's why I'm hoping the X-men could help me, come take me safe." She said more. "But why are you looking for the Superhero girls?" Kamala asked. "I heard that the superhero girls helped the X-men once when they found a mutant, so i figured if I could find the superhero girls I could find the X-men and enter the Xavier institute." Nori told them. Given the fact that the superhero girls including the two girls alter egos found their friend Nightcrawler, which was an accident thanks to Supergirl, they both looked at each other in total confusion. "Well…good luck with that." Gwen said. "But first wanna hang out? I feel like I want to say 'thanks again' for helping me and to know Metropolis a little more." Nori asked.
Kamala then got an idea. "Hey, I know how you can help you with new places," Kamala said. "Our friend Zee and her father are in a magic show, how would you like to come hang out with us?" Kamala suggested. Nori then smiled and said, "Sure."
It was night time in Metropolis, Gwen, Kamala, and Nori bought some take out and they arrived at the apartment where Zee lives. And right now Zee was preparing her makeup for her and her father's show tonight. Zee noticed the girls were coming in and said, "Ah, there you two are thanks for coming and…" However she then spots Nori. "Uh…who's this?" Zee asked. "This is Nori, she's a transfer student from Japan." Kamala said. "Hi!" Nori said bashfully. "Well nice to meet you Nori." Zee said. She then inhaled and said, "Ready, Karen?"
"Uh. I.. I guess so." Karen answered. "Let's begin." Zee said as she then went to work. "Foundation. Shade and highlight. Powder." she said as she was using them even the powder made Karen sneeze. Zee continued on with the make up by saying, "Blush. Eyeshadow. Mascara. Lipstick." Then she finished by saying, "Ta-da!"
"Wow." Gwen said. "Yeah, wow." Kamala said. "Oh. Oh. Um." Karen was trying to say something but it turns out, It turns out that Zee overdid it with makeup. Zee scoffs then said, "I know what you're thinking, Karen, but I've been performing in front of crowds for years. The secret is to look exaggerated up close, so you look fabulous from afar. Trust me, I've been doing this forever." "With that much makeup on, you really overdid it." Gwen said. "Yeah." Kamala said. Nori was drinking her soda until she noticed something on Karen. "Um excuse me." Nori said bashfully. "What's wrong?" she asked. Nori was pointing to her forehead "You got a little something on your…" Karen looks at the mirror to see a huge zit.
Karen screams and says, "What is that?" she got nervous and said, "I... Is that a zit?" "Really?" Gwen asked. "Dang that looks like a big one!" Kamala said. "Zee, you have to help me." Karen begged. "Oh. Sweet Karen, please, this is nothing to panic about." Zee encouraged Karen. "Speak for yourself!" Kamala said. This made Gwen elbow Kamala on the arm. "Ow! What did I do?" she asked while holding her arm. "I just…" Karen was about to say something until…
"We all go through changes at a certain point of life." Zee said. "It's true. We all got upcoming changes we weren't prepared for." Nori said. "What do you mean?" Karen asked. Nori looked around and said, "let me show you." She then absorbed part of electricity from the room and shot electricity out to the window. The girls beside Gwen and Kamala, were surprised by this. "You…You're a mutant?!" Zee asked. "Yep, I am." Nori said. Zee turned to Gwen and asked, "Gwen you knew?" "yeah, just this morning." Gwen answered. "But anyway, It's okay for changes to happen, I discovered these mutant powers last month and I'm worried what it'll do, but I'm hoping I could learn from it, sooner or later." Nori said.
Zee then snapped out of her surprised look and said, "Indeed, it can be uncomfortable. Confusing, even me." Karen tried to speak up and said, "But I-". Zee interrupted and said, "Why, I remember when I first had to deal with something like this…" She then told Karen her entire story of how her and her father performed, her gaining her magic abilities and hiding them, thinking her father will think differently of her, and then finally seeing them, becoming proud of her new gained ability, and the performance at Abracdabrapalooza. After hearing this story, Nori then started to think about how she got her magic powers. Zee was now dressed in a fancy pink assistant outfit.
"It was that performance at Abracdabrapalooza that brought us here today. There was a booking agent in the crowd who got us our first town. From there we traveled the country steadily improving our act, and that led to this residency at the casino. We never could have done any of it not for that show. So you see, Karen, the secret is to seem strange at first, but oftentimes change can be a very good thing." Zee told her everything to give her advice. "So... can I borrow your makeup or not?" Karen asked. Nori's mind popped as she realized this big reveal, "You!" Nori pointed to Zee. "Your, Zatanna!" she shouted. "That means…" Nori then pointed to Karen which made her squeal in fright. "You're Bumblebee!" she shouted. "And that also means your the two superheroes, Ghost-Spider…and Ms. Marvel!" Nori said as pointed out to Gwen and Kamala. "Wow, you figured it out so quickly!" Kamala said. "I guess the story Zee told us really gave it away." Gwen said, which made Zee blush by embarrassment. "Well what can I say, Some few magicians may reveal their secrets." Zee said. "One, I never heard any magicians say that even from you, and two your real name is also a Superhero name so it'll be hard to compare to you and your superhero name." Kamala said. "That's true." Zee said, but she then starts to look around the room. "Where's my bow."
Turns out, Gwen was using Zee's bow as a napkin after he was finishing up her dinner. "Gwen! That's Zee's Bow not a Napkin! Give it back to Zee!" Kamala demanded. "Huh?" Gwen said until she looked at the bow. "Oh! Sorry!" she chuckled nervously. "Don't worry, Frank dear." Zee said as opens the closet to reveal more bows. "I have spares." she said
Soon... The performance began, Karen, Kamala, Gwen and Nori were in the audience watching. "Thank you, thank you. Please, a round of applause for my charming daughter." Giovanni said as Zee appeared wearing her assistant outfit and curtsying to the crowd and waving, while winking at the four girls. in the audience. After showing the audience many amazing tricks, it was time for the final act.
"And now ladies and gentlemen, we've come to my final trick of the evening. A trick so risky, so daring, that the squeamish among you may want to look away." Giovanni said, which made the crowd go in the "ooh" moment. "Tonight, I will make my lovely assistant…" Giovanni then used his magic to make a wardrobe appear! "Disappear!" Giovanni said which made the audience start cheering. Zee walks into the wardrobe while smiling and waving at the audience. Then he started to use his magic.
"Spirits beyond. I summon thee here. Heed my command. Make this girl disappear!" Giovanni chanted and then when the wardrobe opened, Zee was gone! "Behold!" Giovanni said and then the audience exclaimed. "Oh, awesome." Karen said while clapping. "Awesome." the girls plus Nori said while doing a three way high five.
That's when the crowd started to cheer for Giovanni, as Zee stepped out of a portal, while taking off the bow in her head, while looking sad for some reason. Later, they were in Zee's room, and she was still bothered by something while Zee was brushing her hair.
"That was amazing, Zee." Karen said with excitement. " I can't believe this is your life. You're, like, a total star." She complimented her. "Yeah, that was amazing magic." Gwen said. "You were perfect." Zee however sighs and says, "Yeah, well…" Karen however interrupted and said, "And the fact that you've spent your whole life traveling the whole world entertaining people with your dad, it's so cool." "Yeah." Kamala said. "Hmm... Indeed." Zee said. "You're seriously the biggest celebrity I know." Karen said. "Other than the Wasp?" Kamala asked. "Or Captain Marvel? Or the fantastic 4? Or some few members of the X-men?" Kamala asked as she also pointed out to the other heroes she met. "Oh right." Karen said. "But perhaps even bigger!" Zee said.
"What do you mean?" Karen asked, until she gasped and said. "You're not leaving the act, are you?" Zee went to the changing room and changed out of her assistant outfit through blinds. "What? Of course not. That would break poor daddy's heart." Zee stated. "But I am working on my own act. One day people will know that name." Zee finished as changed into her magician's attire. "Zee Zatara. And that, my dear Karen, is where you come in." Zee said. "What?" Karen asked.
The next day, at the pier, she was dressed as Zee's assistant while wearing a tutu. Zee hands her blow horn to Karen then clears her throat and says, "Whenever you're ready."
Karen then speaks through the blow horn and said, "Prepare yourselves ladies and gentlemen, for an experience unlike any other. This is the great and powerful Zee Zatara, Princess of Presti... Prestididge…'' She was trying to say the word but it was hard to pronounce. "Prestidigitation." Zee said. "Presti... tation" Karen still couldn't pronounce
Zee got annoyed as she went off from the curtain and shouted out, "Prestidigitation." However not everyone was not paying attention to her which made Zee mad and started dragging Zee. It Turns out people had their attention towards some punk magician, and he seemed to be doing a coin trick.
"Wow, Zee, he wears more eye shadow than you." Karen said. "All right. Look, look. Right here. Eyes on me. Ready? Heads or tails?" Ace said. "Heads!" A woman said. When he flipped the coin, he apparently seemed to switch hands. Zee noticed the coin, gasped and said, "Did you see that? He totally switched hands." but everyone uses his "real" magic too much. "Ugh. A double-headed coin? Really? How uninspired." Zee said. "What's he going to do next, the detachable thumb trick?" she asked which he turns out, that's what he was doing and everyone was exclaiming to do.
Zee facepalms and said, "You have got to be kidding me." Ace then starts to hold out a deck of cards. "Pick a card, any card. Go ahead. Go ahead." Ace said. The card the woman chose was the Ace of Spades, as she put it back without looking. "Uh-huh. Okay, ready? Watch this. Watch. Ready? Wait for it…" Ace said and then ripped his shirt off, revealing to have an Ace of Spade as a tattoo on his chest! "Is this your card?" Ace asked which then the woman swooned for Ace
Zee however is fed up with this and then walks up to Ace. "That isn't magic. You're nothing but an overly-leathered," then she knocks cards out of his hands. "flimflam man." Zee finished her rant. The cards revealed all to be all the Aces of Spades! "See?" Zee asked everyone when they gasped. "He's turned them all into Aces of Spades." the boy said. "He's incredible!" the man said, as they were trapped in their gullibility with Ace's magic. "Ugh! That is not magic." Zee declared, she then took out her wand. "This is magic!" she said and then she started to work her magic, she casted a spell for flowers and made floral patterns on a man's shirt that were now turned into a bouquet for his wife. Then gave a man a hairpiece. Finally, Zee tossed some confetti and casted a spell to turn them into butterflies. "Ta-da!"
However no applauded except for the one behind her, which she turned around to see Gwen, Kamala, and Nori cheering for her. "Nice Job Zee!" Kamala said. "That was great." Gwen said. "Subarashī, Subarashī!" Nori said in japanese for "Excellent, Excellent." but one man wasn't too pleased and said, "Fake." Which made Nori upset and she sparkled a little but Gwen stopped her and said. "Nori, it's not worth it." Nori agreed and just settled down.
"You could learn a thing or two from Ace the Spades." one of the tourists said. "I love his magic." another tourist said. "It's so raw, so real." the third tourist said. Zee felt offended by this, which made the three girls walk to her. "Sorry about that." Nori said. Gwen then came in and said, "Hey, some say you're not perfect, but it could be if you…" but she was interrupted by Zee when she said, "Raw and real?! I'll show them raw and real!" That's when Zee became furious, and her magic started turning blue! "What's happening?" Nori asked. "I don't know." Kamala shoots. 'How does Pete do this?' Gwen thought to herself. "Uh, Zee?" Karen asked.
"Ees yvne siht" backwards for "See envy this" That's when she casted the spell on him, but he didn't feel a thing. "All right. Look. Watch. Eyes on me." Ace said. When he took off his shirt, there wasn't any spade, only some monster tattoo. "Is this your card?" Ace said. "Ta-da!" Zee shouted. "Nandesuka?!" Nori said in Japanese for "what the?!" "How did she…?" Kamala was asking. 'That never happened before.' Gwen thought before.
"Uh, that's not even a card. What kind of magician are you?" the woman said. "Lame." the tourist said. That's when the crowd started to disperse. Zee was satisfied and said, "So... who wants ice cream?" "Uh…" Karen felt confused. "I can go for some ice cream!" Kamala said. "Great! Let's go!" Zee said as they left, however there are two things they didn't know, one is that one of the tourist's eyes turned yellow when she spotted the blue haired girl and smiled sinisterly, and made contact. "She's here, we can bring the brotherhood here…" the mysterious woman said.
And the other thing of which little did they know that the spell that Zee used, created a portal from Ace's chest, bringing forth a swarm of gremlins! And a huge swarm of gremlins started causing havoc and mischief around the pier.
Gwen, Karen, Zee, Kamala, and Nori were currently having ice cream, while Zee was feeling guilty about what she did, but they didn't realize what was happening at the pier. "So any luck with the X-men?" Karen asked. "We have been trying to get to them about Nori last night but no luck, they might be on a mission or something." Kamala explained. "So, uh, back there it was, uh…" Karen started to speak until Zee said, "I know! A complete disaster." Kamala came in and said, "I wouldn't say that." "No, I-" Karen tried to speak until she got interrupted by Zee again. "I just want to show the world what I can do. The kind of magician I really am. I just want to touch an audience." Zee said.
"Don't worry, Zee, I bet someday you'll be known the world over as the greatest magician of them all." Karen said. "You really think so?" Zee smiled and said, "Yeah. I really do." that's when Gwen finally came in and said, "Look Zee, you wanted to be perfect just like your Dad, but you don't have to prove it because you don't have to prove to be perfect just to be perfect, just be yourself and keep on going until they can see you how perfect you are." Zee felt touched by Gwen's speech and said, "Thanks Gwen."
Then there was trouble! A gremlin landed in their ice cream, causing Zee and Karen to freak out, as Zee swatted it away, then looked over to the chaos that was going on at the pier. "How did this happen?" Nori asked. "Karen, Gwen, What's happening?" Zee asked. Karen looked around to see the people. "Those faces. Zee. Your spell." Karen said. "My spell? But how? My magic can't do something like... But I was angry. It was me." Zee declared. "Hey at least it can't get worse!" Kamala said. However a huge metal truck came in, thanks to Gwen's spider sense she spotted the truck. "LOOK OUT!" Gwen shouted and the five girls moved out the way when the truck crashed in. Nori noticed the truck and she got nervous. "Oh, no! He's here!" Nori said. "Who's here?" Kamala asked. Then Nori spotted the person coming. "The reason why I left Japan!" Nori shouted. Then the figure turns out to be none other than the X-men's biggest enemy…
"Magneto!" Kamala and Nori shouted in Usion. Magneto and his followers, Avalanche, The Blob, Toad, and Pyro were coming in. "there you are Nori dear, this is where you were hiding?" Magneto asked. Nori got mad and said, "Why wont leave me alone! I'll never join you!" Nori shouted. "I can't, at least not yet," Magneto said. "Bring her to me!" Magneto commanded the brotherhood, which they were. Sooner than later, Gwen quickly changed into her hero outfit and webbed the Brotherhood to block her. "Sorry, but lines for autographs are unavailable for the moment." Ghost-Spider joked about. Then Kamala as Ms. Marvel came in. "What do you want with her, Magneto?" Ms. Marvel asked. "Her mutant powers are very powerful, and she could be useful." Magneto explained. "Never!" Nori shouted. Pyro used his pyro kinetics to burn the webs off of them. "Get them!" Magneto commanded. "Zee, Karen, take care of the gremlin problem, we'll protect Nori from Magneto and his brotherhood!" Ghost-Spider told Zee and Karen and they both nodded. Then the brotherhood attacked and Ghost-Spider and Ms. Marvel enters the battle while trying to protect Nori.
Meanwhile Zee and Karen were trying to figure out the gremlin problem. "This is all my fault. What do I do? What do I do? What do I-" Zee got nervous, Then, surprisingly, Karen slapped her! "Snap out of it, woman." Karen shouted. "This is no time for crying, it's time for heroin." she said."You're right, Karen. Let's teach these little monsters some manners." Zee said. Then, Karen and Zee changed into their hero outfit, but that's when a gremlin landed on Zatanna's head. "Ew. Ew. Ew. Get it off. Get it off. Get it off." Zee said, luckily Karen hurled it away at sea.
Meanwhile the two girls were fighting against the brotherhood, the two barely put up the fight despite the numbers. Gwen was battling the Blob, and Avalanche, while Ms. Marvel was battling Toad and Pyro. "Hey Avalanche, why call yourself that when you create earthquakes? Shouldn't you be called an earthquake? Or how about Seismic, because of your seismic temper." Ghost-Spider said. This angered Avalanche and said, "You little brat! I shut you up!" as he uses his power to create a seismic wave, luckily Ghost-Spider dogged it in time. "Oh sorry, I'm a moving target, and you know how many points are moving targets." Ghost-Spider mocked. But that's when the Blob came in. "All right round boy," Ghost-Spider said as she gathered bio-energy into her fist. "It's your turn." she said as she punched the Blob right at the gut, but to her surprise, the Blob resisted her Bio-punch. Blob laughed and said, "Is that supposed to hurt?" as she grabbed Ghost-Spider. "Eat pavement you little pest!" Blob said as he slammed her to the ground. Thanks to her strength withstanding the impact of the slam, she got up and made a joke as she said, "Mm, needs salt, and a pinch of garlic." Meanwhile, Ms. Marvel was keeping up a fight with Pyro, she managed to keep the fire from Pyro's control with her giant hands but it barely burns a little. Ms. Marvel then finally een it out by punching pyro. Until Toad came in and slimed him. "Gross!" Ms. Marvel said in disgust. Then Toad started to taunt her with his dancing and was about to tongue him until Ms. Marvel grew her hand and grabbed his tongue and pulled him and kicked him to knock him down. However after that, her hand got covered in slime. "Ew! I hope I don't get warts!" but then Magneto stepped in and used her bracelet being metal, He tossed her to Ghost-Spider and were both knocked down. "As for you Nori." Magneto said as she went off to her.
Both the girls got up and saw this. Ghost-Spider knew what she had to do and leaped forward and tried to stand for Nori. "Back off!" Ghost-Spider shouted. "What a feisty one!" Magneto said. "Ms. Marvel, get Nori out of here as fast as you can, I will handle them." Ghost-Spider told Ms. Marvel. "But there's too many of them." I'll buy you some time, just go!" Ghost-Spider shouted. Ms. Marvel frowned but agreed and then both Ms. Marvel and Nori ran away as fast as they could, while Ghost-Spider stood her ground as she gathered some Bio-energy into her fist.
Meanwhile The Zatanna and Bumblebee were fighting the gremlins. Some gremlins were driving bumper cars as they were chasing a woman and her baby, as Zatanna was running after them. She then noticed one of the horses on the carousel, and used her magic to ride it, as she blasted magic at the gremlins. Soon, she blasted her magic at two of the gremlins, sending them crashing into the arcade.
Back with Ghost-Spider, she was a bit struggling against the brotherhood as she was trying to get up. "I bet you'll taste delicious spider!" Toad said as he laughed and was about to tongue her. However a miracle happened, a huge transparent robotic leg came in and stomped him. "Huh?" Ghost-Spider got surprised and she looked up to see a familiar X-woman in the Kimono/uniform in the psi-kenetic mech. "Armor?" she asked. Then Armor's power was reverted back. "Are you alright?" Armor asked as she helped Ghost-Spider get up. "I am now, but what are you doing here?" she asked. "Actually, "We're here to help." Armor said. "We're?" Ghost-Spider asked, and that's when the rest of X-men besides two others came, Including Cyclops's fiancee, Jean Grey aka Marvel Girl, who appears to be wearing a yellow/orange colored jumpsuit with a navy blue head cowl that is tight around her head but shows her face and hair, navy blue shoulder pad, arm cuffs, belt with a red button with a black X like most of the X-men, and a navy blue speedo, with a few navy blue lines on the upper arm and end of her ankles of the highheels, and patches on the thighs. As for the beast he now appears with a yellow X shaped harness, black shorts, with yellow lines on the edges and the same button as most of the X-men. "X-men take on the brotherhood and keep her away from the girl!" Cyclops commanded, and they soon began to attack, Storm, Rogue, and Beast joined Armor to check on Ghost-Spider. "Well I'm happy to see you guys again." Ghost-Spider said. "The feeling is neutral, hon." Rogue said as she fixed her hat. "You were pretty brave, like the gulfs who wash you down, Ulysses Tennyson says." Beast said. "But where's the girl?" Storm asked. "She's with Ms. Marvel, I better help her!" Ghost-Spider said. "Don't you worry Sugar, He's got it." Rogue said. "So how about you help us out!" she asked. Ghost-Spider nodded and they went off to battle.
Meanwhile, Ms. Marvel and Nori ran into the pier and tried to hide. "Are they gone?" Nori asked. "Well I think we lost them." Ms. Marvel answered. "Why didn't you tell me that Magneto was aftering before?" Ms. Marvel asked. Nori took a breath and said, "After I discovered my mutant powers, they discovered the use of them as a weapon to destroy humans, so they tried to take in, but I didn't want to use them for evil, I had no choice but to run to keep my family safe." she started to tear up. "They loved me, even if I was a mutant or not, but I didn't want them to be harmed." she started to tear more. Ms. Marvel tried to comfort her and said, "It's okay Nori, after we're done with the brotherhood and Zee and Karen are done with their problem, we'll make sure you'll be safe, I promise." as she hugged her.
Just then a similar idol of Ms. Marvel came in. "Oh thank goodness, you're alright." 'Captain Marvel' said. "Captain Marvel? What are you doing here?" Ms. Marvel asked. "I heard that Magneto, was aftering a girl so the Professor asked me to help out." 'Captain Marvel' said. "Come on I'll help you out…" but before she could finish, three-prawned claws pierces through the tent and slashed through the tent and it is revealed to be a certain X-man with a yellow sleeveless jumpsuit with blue lines from the side through his shoulders to thighs, with one yellow stripe, and two black stripes on each side of his upper blue areas of the lines mirroring each other, blue boots, gloves, and gloves with the same button as the X-men and a mask with a black animalistic styled mask in front, and each hand has three claws, it was none other than…"Wolverine?"
Ms. Marvel asked. Captain Marvel tried to play along and said, "Ah, Wolverine, it's such nice to see you…" but she got interrupted when Wolverine started to attack her for no reason! "What are you doing? That's Captain Marvel!" Ms. Marvel tried to stop her. "Hate to burst your bubble kid, that's not Captain Marvel." Wolverine said. "How do you know?" Ms. Marvel asked. "Because I can smell her scent, It's Mystique!" He said. The fake Captain Marvel smiled and said, "well what can I say the nose knows." and then all of the sudden, she was transforming back to her normal form or in any case, Mystique the second in command of the brotherhood! "No way!" Ms. Marvel shouted. "But the girl is coming with me!" Mystique demanded. "Fat chances, bub!" Wolverine said as he retracted his claws again. "Get her out here kid, I'll handle her." Wolverine told Ms. Marvel. "Right!" Ms. Marvel said, "Come on Nori, let's go!" she said as she dragged her to a safe place where they went off to their fight.
Meanwhile, Bumblebee was confronted by the gremlins. "I'll take it from here!" she said as she aims stinger missiles at gremlins. "Come on." but after she launches them, she misses. "Dang it!" She then flew into a claw machine, only to see the gremlins, trying to win her as a prize. Zatanna is continuing to fight off the gremlins that are chasing the woman and her baby and is heading to the water. Luckily, Zatanna blasted the gremlins into the water by blasting them with magic to prevent them from hitting the woman and baby, but it ended up soaking Arctiguana and Zatanna. Then, one of the bumper cars with the gremlins rammed into Zatanna, sending her flying into the arcade.
But Zatanna appears to have been landed by Bumblebee in a pile of stuffed toys. "Karen, are you okay?" Zatanna asked. "Yep, I'm okay."Bumblebee said. But until Ghost-Spider crashed into a table. "Gwen are you okay?" Zatanna said as she and Bumblebee came in to check on her. "Yeah I'm okay, just need to swing it off after I join the X-men again." Ghost-Spider said. Until they looked to see that the gremlins were causing more chaos. "What do we do? They're just so dreadfully evil." Zee said. Ghost-Spider then started to call Ms. Marvel. "Kamala hows Nori holding?" She asked. "Good so far but Mystique almost got us, thank goodness Wolverine saved the day." Ms. Marvel answered. "Okay good, meet me with the X-men, as soon as we can we get to regroup and try to stop Magneto after you hide Nori!" Ghost-Spider said. "Got it!" Then they ended the call. "I gotta get going as soon as we can." Ghost-Spider said. "What's the use, even if you stop Magneto, I can't stop these little gremlins from hurting these people, looks like everythings not perfect after all." Zatanna said as she was about to give up. "Zee, remember what I said about perfection? You don't have to be perfect to know your perfect. I'm sure you could think of something before you can stop them." Ghost-Spider said as she then spins a web to rejoin the X-men to battle Magneto.
Just then, Bumblebee sees two gremlins tugging on a teddy bear, then ripped it apart and hugging each other and laughing, then she got an idea. "Wait a minute. What if they're not? What if they're just having fun? Look at them, Zatanna. They're just trying to entertain themselves." bumblebee told Zatanna. Zee realized this and said, "Well, if it's entertainment these gremlins want, it's entertainment they shall have." and then she changes into her magician outfit. "And that, my dear Karen, is where you come in." She finished by handing her megaphone to Zee.
Soon, Karen was onstage, holding the megaphone. Karen then starts to talk through the Megaphone and says," Prepare yourselves, ladies and gentle-monsters, for an experience unlike any other. This is the great and powerful Zee Zatara, princess of prestidigitation. Yeah." Karen finally got the word pronounced. Soon, Zee appeared onstage, causing the gremlins to gather in interest.
Meanwhile back with Ghost-Spider and the X-men, they managed to take down the brotherhood one by one, but Magneto was still not ready to give up, He was about to use magnetism to send a truck at them, Luckily enough Marvel Girl managed to catch the car with her mind powers. Marvel Girl was struggling a little bit as she said, "I don't know how long I could keep this up!" "You're delaying the inevitable, One day I'll show that we mutants are capable for the future and we will…" Magneto was interrupted as he screamed in pain as he was knocked down. "How did he…" Ghost-Spider asked, until she noticed someone. It turns out, Rogue used her main power to absorb parts of Magneto's powers. "Sorry Sugar, but somebody gotta take you down." Rogue said. "That's my girl." Iceman said as he winked at her. Rogue winked back at her boyfriend. Then Wolverine came back with Ms. Marvel and Nori. "What did I miss?" Wolverine asked. "Not a lot." Cyclops said as Marvel girl placed the truck down. "What happened to Mystique?" Marvel Girl asked. "Don't Worry Jean, she's taken care off" Wolverine said. 'Hope he didn't stab her.' Ghost-Spider thought, but it turns out Mystique was knocked out as she was electrocuted by Nori during their battle.
Back with Zee she was continuing on her magic powers to entertain the gremlins. "All right, you little beasts, who'd like to be entertained?" Zee asked. She then threw her wand into the air, setting off fireworks, much to their amazement. After showing them many amazing tricks, it was time for the final act. "And now we've come to my final trick of the evening. A trick so risky, so daring, that the squeamish among you may wish to look away. I will make my lovely assistant... " She then makes the wardrobe appear, "Disappear." she said. "Wait, what?" Karen asked. "Trust me." Zee said. "Uh…" Karen felt nervous until… "Lovely assistant." Zee yold Karen. Karen then nervously stepped into the wardrobe. "Now watch closely, my fiendish friends…" Zee said as she Then, she started to cast her spell. "Spirits beyond, I summon thee here, heed my command, make this girl disappear!" Zee said then the spell was casted, and the wardrobe opened… "Behold." Zee said as it turns out Karen was gone!
The gremlins were cheering "Now, do I have any volunteers from the audience?" Zee asked Soon, all the gremlins started piling into the wardrobe, wanting a turn, why Karen seems to be hiding behind it. "Snilmerg eb enog!" Zee shouted as it was backwards for "Gremlins be gone" in reverse. Soon, the spell was casted, and the gremlins were gone! "Ta-da." Zee said as Ghost-Spider, Ms. Marvel, Nori and the X-men came in. "Now that was Perfect!" Ghost-Spider said. "Fake." A man said, which made Zee groan in frustration. Wolverine came in as he growled in anger and retracted his claws. "Gotta a problem, bub?" Wolverine asked. "No!" the man said in fear as he then ran off, this made Wolverine smile and snickered. 'So glad Pete has gotten into his good side.' Ghost spider thought to herself.
"I'm assuming that you took care of the Brotherhood?" Zee asked. "Already taken care of." Cyclops said. "Thank you, to all of you, all of you for helping me." Nori said as she shared her gratitude to the four girls and the X-men. "It was our pleasure." Ghost-Spider said. "We're just here to help." Ms. Marvel said. "Nori," Armor said to get Nori's attention. "There's someone who likes to meet you." she explained as Rogue came in with a certain professor in a wheelchair . He wore a green dress shirt and pants with black shoes and a graphite sweater underneath his dress shirt and had a red blanket on his lap. Then both Nori and Armor walked up to Professor X to meet him. "Hello Nori, I hear that you traveled all the way from Japan to find us." Professor X greeted Nori. "Yes that's true." Nori said "Don't worry Nori, we'll help you…" Professor X said. 'Because you're not the only one with Gifts.' Professor X used his telepathy to Nori to show her his power, which made Nori surprised. "He's right Nori." Armor said. "Watashitachi to onajiyōni, okurimono o motte iru no wa anata dakede wa arimasen." Armor spoke in Japanese for "You're not the only one with gifts, like us." Nori was shocked as she spoke, "Watashi no ta no gengo o rikai dekimasu ka?" as in Japanese for, "You can understand my second language?" "Sō, X-men ga watashi o tasukete kureta no to onajiyōni, anata mo tasukete kureru nodesu." Armor explained in Japanese for "Yes, the X-men can help you, just like they helped me too." "Dōomoimasuka, kono kenkyūjo ni sanka shitaidesu ka?" Armor asked in Japanese for "What do you say, want to join the institute?" Nori asked and said, "Hai,-sō shimasu!" in Japanese for "Yes I will!" "Thank you!" Nori said in English. Then the X-men came together to meet Nori.
A couple hours later after Nori said her goodbyes to the girls and headed off to the Xavier Institute so that she could enroll, the heroes left the pier. "Hey Zee you may have gotten the attention you wanted but you were perfect out there." Gwen said. Zee however sighed and said, "Why do I even try?" Karen then stepped in and said, "Because how else are you gonna be the greatest magician the world has ever known?" "Karen's right, you just need time, and you don't have to be perfect to know that you're perfect." Gwen said. "Thanks Gwen." Zee said. Then she put her hand on Karen's shoulder and said, "Karen, you're the best assistant a magical girl could ever ask for." As the two left Gwen and Kamala began their conversation. "Do you think Nori will do great at the institute?" Kamala asked. "We helped Kurt before, I'm sure Nori will do great." Gwen said. This made Kamala puts hr arm around Gwen's shoulder as they walked together with Zee and Karen.
Don't worry about Babs, because she's next in the next chapter, stay tuned. Plus this chapter felt more like the chapter before chapter 15 than 16 so I tried to update it to be in between chapters 14 and 15, and this my biggest chapter yet, so far
Ps. I didn't know if Ms. Marvel's bracelet or the heirloom is either made of metal or plastic, but it looked like metal to me and that's why I thought of Magneto using his magnetism on it.
