Chapter 4
Brooke looked through her closet and since she didnt find anything she liked for what was planned.
She decided to go shopping and once she tried it on she knew this was the right outfit for her to wear. She was surprised how many outfits she found at this tucked away store that she ended up buying.
She smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror. Wearing a Graphic Print Belted Dress. The top half red.
She went light on the make up. Mainly highlighting her eyes and her lips.
She found herself nervous. Her stomach doing flips.

Brooke looked at the time and left. She drove faster then normal. Which was mainly from excitment.
As she found herself parked in front of the Roe home.
She walked towards the front door. And knocked.
The door opened in front of her slowly.
Lucas appeared smiling brightly at the sight of her.
The two had been texting for days in advance to tonight.
When Lucas mentioned that his mom was coming into town to check in on the cafe and him.
Brooke suggested that she meet with Karen and Keith who still lived in town.
"You're right on time. You look amazing. You didn't have to get all dressed up to impress anyone. This is just dinner." Lucas reasured her.
Brooke entered into the home and stood beside him.
"This isn't just dinner for me. Meeting you're mom and Keith. Is a big deal. I want to be make a nice impresson." Brooke admitted.
"So you didn't dress up for me?" Brooke teased.
Lucas smiled shyly. "Maybe i did get a new outfit and get my hair cut. You're becoming important to me." He admitted.
"I'm glad because i like you alot." Brooke stated matter of fact.
"So you're the young woman my son has been talking to me about any chance he gets. Karen Roe. Welcome Brooke." Karen proclaimed.
"Mom that is not true." Lucas replied. Smiling shyly.
"I can confirm you are a friend to him and that means we welcome you with open arms." Keith added in.
"We should head into the kitchen and start eating. Everything should be cool by now." Karen announced.

Karen and Keith went on ahead.
Lucas reached for her hand and she felt her heart leap.
When he leaned over and kissed her.
Brooke kissed him back. At some point they pulled apart.
Giving each other this knowing gaze.
Brooke insisted she would be right there. Her cellphone buzzing off the hook.
She saw the texts and missed calls.
You've been MiA for weeks now. Where are you? Come hang out. I miss you.
Nathan texted.
