Hello everyone. Things have been really rough with me lately. But now I'm back and ready to finish this story so we can move on to next year.
No one in Gryffindor Tower slept that night. Because the school was being searched again and the students were waiting to hear if Black had been caught. But at dawn, Professor McGonagall told them that Black remained at large.
All over the castle was tightened security. Professor Flitwick charmed the doors door to make a picture of Sirius Black. Filch was boarding up tiny cracks on the walls and even mouse holes.
Sir Cadugon had left back to his own portrait and the Fat Lady had returned. Only with premition that she was given extra protection. So every evening after curfew, Security Trolls were seen guarding the Seventh Floor.
Harry and Tom and Jerry and Ginny and Neville and Luna knew of the secret passage under the stature of the one-eyed hump back witch from the map. But they never used it. But it remained unopen and unguarded.
"I daught he'd be using that passage." Said Jerry.
"Yeah. We would have heard if Honeyducks had been broken into." Said Tom.
"If the teachers knew about this passage, then Black would have to come here the long way." Said Harry as he walked up the staircase to the Defence Against The Dark Arts classroom.
"Harry." Said Ginny. "Don't tell me you're going to give him the map."
"It's best I do. I know it was my fathers map. But I think Remus needs it more than I do."
"So you say."
Harry jumped as he turned to see Remus standing right behind them.
"So you found the map Harry?"
"Yes." Harry lied for he didn't want to get Fred and George in trouble.
Remus did tell he was lying but decided to drop it for now.
"You don't have to tell me the truth right now. But maybe some other time. Anyway, you're right Harry. I'll need the map more than you do."
After handing the map to Remus, the six walked to their next class.
Percy wasn't just Headboy now. He was serlevity. Still shakened out what had happened that night, everyone asked about what had happened with all the detales. But Percy never talked about it.
But Harry and Tom and Jerry had been wondering. Why did Sirius Black attack Percy instead of him?
Meanwhile, Sally-anne was in total disgrace. Not only had Professor McGonagall had bammed her from all remaining Hogsmeade visits for the rest of the year and forbidden everyone else to give her the password into the tower, she had given her detention. Poor Sally-anne was forced to wait outside for someone to let her into the tower with the trolls looking at her.
But none of the these punishments were worse than the one her mother had in store for her. 2 days after the insident, her mum had sent her the very worst thing anyone would want to reseave. A howler.
It happened at breakfast as an owl flew in and landed in front of her and gave her a red envelope.
"Run for it Sally-anne!" Neville shouted.
Sally-anne didn't need telling trice as she sprinted out of The Great Hall. Most of the Slytherin's were laughing at her as the howler had shouted from the voice of Sally-anne's mum who was angry that she had broght shame to the whole family.
However, Harry got a letter too from Hedwig. Dispite him feeling sorry for Sally-anne, he opened it.
Dear Harry
How about you and the others meet me at the lake later today. I've got something very importent to tell you about my hearing.
Hagrid.
"I wonder how the case went." Said Luna.
"Let's hope Buckbeak was let off the hook." Said Jerry.
Later, all of them met with Hagrid and Spike at the lake as they were skipping rocks across the water.
"So how did the hearing go Hagrid?" Neville asked.
"Well, first off the comunity members kept talking about why we were there." Hagrid said as he skipped another rock. "Then I got up and did my peice and said that Buckbeak was a good Hipogriff and I always clean his feathers."
"And what happened then?" Tom asked.
"Lucius Malfoy got well you can imagine." Spike explained. "He said that Buckbeak was a deadly dangerous creature who would kill you as soon as you look at it."
"No he did." Jerry said in shock.
"He did." Hagrid said upset as he tossed one more rock.
"And then what happened?" Luna asked.
"He asked for the worst."
"Are they saking you?" Harry asked.
"No Harry. Buckbeak has been sentenced to death." Hagrid said sadly.
"The execution date is the night after the final exams." Said Spike.
"No." Tom said. "They can't do this. Buckbeak isn't dangerous."
Ginny got angry that Malfoy's father had won the trial. So angry that she turned to Harry with a searious face.
"You better win that final Quidditch match Harry! I wanna see Malfoy's face when he sees that Slytherin had lost the cup!"
"I'll do it for you." Harry said as he pulled Ginny into a kiss.
The safety masers in the castle made it impossible for Harry and Ginny and Tom and Jerry and Neville and Luna to visit Hagrid in the evenings for support. Their only chance of supporting him was during Care of Magical Creatures lessons.
Hagrid had also finally covered the Unicorns like he planed to. They were afraid to go near wizards as they find the witches to be more trustworthy. However, one of them went tords Tom and Jerry during the lesson as that one had trusted them.
Despite Hagrid's lessons becoming a lot better, he seemed shock at the verdict on Buckbeak. Even with all the support Harry and Ginny and Tom and Jerry and Neville and Luna had given him. All he could do was make sure Buckbeak's remaining time was the happiest he's had before the executioner comes to seal his fate.
The only thing that got Harry and Tom and Jerry's mind off of Buckbeak's exicution was the final Quidditch match. If they win, they will finally see the Quidditch Cup with Gryffindor's name on it. The match takes placw after Easter. Slytherin was in the lead by 200 points. And wood reminded the team that they needed to win more than 200 to win the cup. Sense catching the snitch was worth 150 points, Harry knew that the team needed at least more then 50 points and for Harry to catch the snitch to win.
Gryffindor was looking forward to the match as the house hasn't won the cup sense Ginny's second oldest brother Charlie had been seeker. But Harry and Tom and Jerry daughted that Oliver or the rest of the team would have wanted to win as much as they did. The ementy between the three and Malfoy had been their highest point ever. They haven't forgotten about what he did to Buckbeak or when he tried to sabitosh the match against Ravenclaw. But the matter on Buckbeak was what made them want to beat Malfoy in front of the entire school.
By the end of Easter, the two houses in the Quidditch Final was in the braking point. Harry and Tom and Jerry couldn't even get to class without any of the Slytherin's trying to trip them. Save for Dapheny And Tracey and Blaise and Thedore and Flora and Hestia who wished them good luck every time they passed the three of them.
Crabbe and Goyle kept on popping in wherever Harry and Tom and Jerry went outside of class and the common room and kept looking disapointed when they saw the three srounded by people.
And Oliver kept giving Harry instructions everywhere he went in case Slytherin tried something that would put Gryffindor out of action.
And because they were always surounded by a croud, it was nearly impossible for Harry to get to class in time. And every brake time, Harry and Tom and Jerry dashed back to the common room to check Harry's trunk and see if the Firebolt was still there.
Harry and Tom and Jerry couldn't sleep that night before the final match. They dreamed of Harry oversleeping and Wood telling Harry he was late and had to use a reserve seeker and then they dreamed of Malfoy and the other Slytherin's flying on dragons as Malfoy's dragon burned down Harry's broom and he and Tom and Jerry fell down the same way they did when the Dementors got them.
Then they woke up remembering the match hasn't started yet and that dragons were not aloud in the match. So they got up and walked tords the window and got themselves a sip of water from the silver jug beneath it.
As Jerry took his sip from the small goblet that Harry shrunk for him, something caught his eye down in the grounds.
"Hey. There's Crookshanks. But what's he doing outside this late at night?"
Harry and Tom turned to see that Jerry was right. Crookchanks was indeed outside.
"It is Crookshanks." Said Tom. "Wait. What's that walking beside him?"
The three took a closer look. It was the black dog.
"What's he doing with that dog?" Harry asked.
Indeed. Whatever the deal was with that dog, why is Crookshanks with it? The three of course had decided to drop the subject for now and went back to sleep to be ready for the match.
After breakfast, Oliver had hurried the team to the Quidditch Pitch for the conditions he had planed.
Of course, the morning wasn't all bad as both the Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw students were also cheering on Gryffindor while most of the Slytherin students hissed at them.
And when Oliver took them before they could finish, Cho called out good luck to Harry which he ignored because he refuses to leave Ginny no matter what. While Harry did accept Cedric telling him to give Slytherin a peace of his mind in which he'll be doing with Malfoy.
"This is for Buckbeak." He said in which Tom and Jerry nodded. Knowing that Buckbeak would feel a little glad that Malfoy got what he deserved before Buckbeak's execution.
The Slytherin team had then arrived at the pitch with their Nimbus 2001 broomsticks. Fortnightly, the Gryffindor team knew the weakness of those brooms. They had no sharp turns and were only good for racing.
By the looks of it, Flint had the team sorted out in size. Harry and Tom and Jerry knew that Malfoy was the smallest in the team. While the rest were huge.
Oliver and Flint shook hands as Madam Hooch arrived with the Quidditch ball crate.
"Geat ready! 3! 2! 1!"
Madam Hooch then tossed the quaffle into the air and the game had started. Harry and Tom and Jerry kept watch for the snitch before Malfoy could find it first.
Angelina had scored the first points for Gryffindor. A bludger had almost got her but was knocked away by Fred. And then she got the quaffle into the Slytherin hoops. When suddenly, Flint had smashed into her and nearly knocked her off her broom. And then Fred hit him on the back of his head with his beaters club and made his face fall onto his broom.
The earned both teams a penalty. Alicia took the free shot and got the quaffle into the Slytherin hoop and got the next 10 points. Only forty more to go before Harry can catch the snitch.
With a bleeding nose, Flint took the Slytherin penalty and get the first 10 points for the Slytherin team. But Oliver had prevented it so the score was still 0 for Slytherin.
Harry and Tom and Jerry kept looking for the snitch. Making sure Malfoy wouldn't get it before Gryffindor had at least 60 or more points.
Katie had the quaffle until one of the other Slytherin chasers grabbed her head and made her cartwheel in the air as she managed to stay on her broom but dropped the quaffle. Before the chaser could get it, Madam Hooch seezed from him gave Gryffindor another penalty and Katie got the free shot.
And then, Gryffindor had 30 points. 40. points. 50. 60. 70 points. That was more than enough to get Gryffindor to win the cup as soon as Harry can catch the snitch.
Until at last, they found the snitch. Now that Gryffindor had more than 50 points, it was time for the big finish. But as Harry flew after the snitch, the Slytherin beaters began to hit the bludgers tords him. But he kept dodging thanks to Tom and Jerry telling him where they were and as Harry dashed up after the snitch, both beater had collided into each other.
Until at last, Flint had finally managed to get the quaffle through the Gryffindor hoop which almost caused Lee to swear but he stopped himself knowing that there were first years in the crowd. Much to Professor McGonagall's releafe.
Soon the snitch had gone out of sight form both Harry and Malfoy. And it then became the dirtiest game Harry and Tom and Jerry had ever played. As Gryffindor now had 100 points, Slytherin had taken any means to take the quaffle.
One of the Slytherin beaters hit Alicia and he said he thought she was a bludger which then earned Gryffindor another pentilty. The score was now 110 to 10. It was a good thing the Gryffindor team found out about the weakness of the Nimbus 2001 brooms indeed.
The moment Alicia scored another gole, The Slytherin beaters had knocked the bludgers to Oliver and he failed to dodge them and fell down completely wounded.
"You do not attack the keeper unless the quaffle is in the scoring area!" Madam Hooch shouted at the two beaters. "Gryffindor penalty!"
Now it was 130 to 10. Harry had to catch the snitch and then Gryffindor will win the cup.
140 to 10. 150. 160. The game was heating up for most of the Slytherins.
170.
180.
190.
"200 points!" Professor McGonagall shouted over the magical microphone.
Indeed. this game was going on a lot longer because Gryffindor had gotten 200 points. If Harry caught the snitch, who knows how many points it'll add up to Gryffindor's house points?
The snitch was back. Harry dashed after it but then, Malfoy had grabbed the tail of his Firebolt. It was what he wanted. The snitch had vanished again.
"No grabbing the broom!" Madam Hooch shouted at Malfoy. "Another penalty to Gryffindor!"
"You cheating #$%!" Lee shouted unable to stop himself from swearing in time but Professor McGonagall didn't stop him either for she too was shouting angrily at Malfoy.
Now the score was 210 to 10.
220.
230.
240.
"This game is really heating up." Said Jerry.
"I know." Said Tom. "Slytherin only got one gole so far."
Until at last, Slytherin got another gole. It was now 240 to 20. But Gryffindor was so far in the lead they had to make sure they stay in the lead until Harry gets the snitch. Harry and Tom and Jerry kept close watch on Malfoy.
All the other Slytherin team members had then tried to block Angelina form the Slytherin hoops. Until Harry shot the Firebolt like a bullet and made her way clear. The score was now 250 to 20.
Harry then zoomed the Firebolt back to the center of the field. And then he saw the snitch again. And Malfoy was after it.
"Go Harry! Hurry!" Tom and Jerry shouted.
Malfoy was far ahead but the Nimbus 2001 was no match for the Firebolt. Then the Slytherin beaters knocked the bludgers tords him as Harry got past Malfoy pulled out both his hands and,
"YES!" Lee shouted. "He's got it!"
He got the snitch. It was now 400 to 20. Gryffindor had won both the game and the Quidditch Cup.
"We've won the cup! We've won the cup!" Tom and Jerry cheared.
"NOOOOOOOOOOO!" Malfoy shouted angrily. "You cheated! You cheated! Wait until my father hears about this!"
But nobody was listening to him. Except for Ginny who got a good glimps at his angry face that Slytherin had lost the cup as she and Neville and Luna and Hagrid walked into the field.
"You beat them Harry!" Hagrid cheered. "You beat them!"
"We did it for Buckbeak." Said Harry.
"Yes. I'm sure this will be Beaky's best moment before the time comes. Wait until I tell him." Hagrid said still excited that Harry had won.
Percy was bouncing in his seat like maniac and Professor McGonagall had her eyes full of tears.
"You did it!" Ginny cheered as she seazed Harry and kissed him and earned a jelluce look from Cho.
Harry walked tords the stand where Dumbledore held out the cup.
"Well done Harry. That was the best game I have ever seen in years." He said.
As Harry held the cup in his hands in the air, he knew along with his love for Ginny, he would cast the worlds best Patronus.
