"L-Look Koichi, Pop Step, follow that salary man. I'll try to stop Knuckleduster and Airjet so we won't be branded as villains"

I told Koichi and ran to the fight, ignoring the shouts from him and Pop Step. I pull up my bandana to mask my face. As Knuckleduster and Airjet were about close the gap to fight again. I quickly ran between and try to hold their arms, which turned out to be a bad idea, as they both hit my face, sending me spinning to the ground. I groan in pain as I place my hand on my sore face.

"Damn, kid" Knuckleduster said.

"My goodness! Are you okay?!" Airjet knee down next to me.

I slowly sat up, shaking off the pain and dizziness from that impact. "Y-Yeah, I'm fine"

"What were you thinking, kid?! Jumping into a fight like that?!" He reprimanded me.

"W-Well...Airjet Sir, t-this is all a misunderstanding" I said. "Knuckleduster isn't a villain. He's just a guy trying to help. Like he said, he's a good Samaritan"

"Help?" Airjet looked confused. "But his actions were..."

"I know. He can be brash and aggressive, but h-his hunch is always right" I shrugged. "Besides, w-we didn't use our quirks so...we didn't break the rules"

"I see..." Airjet looked at me for a while before turning to Knuckleduster. "Well then, my apologies. I thought you were one of those villains. The kid is right, it's a misunderstanding on my part. Sorry"

Knuckleduster chuckles, lighting up a cigarette. "Happens all the time"

"Knuckleduster, you were right about that salary man. Pop Step and I suspect the man might have something to do with the villain disturbances" I explained.

"Hah! Knew it! Should have just let me pulverized the bastard earlier!" He said.

Airjet's eyes widen. "Y-You found a suspect"

"We were about to question him when he ran away" I said. "Koi-gentleman and Pop Step are chasing him down as we speak"

"You know where they went?" Knuckleduster asked and I nodded.

Airjet brought out his phone. "I'll file a report immedi-" he was cut off by screams of people.

"KYAAAAAAAH!"

"VILLAINS! VILLAINS HAVE APPEARED!"

We all looked at each other and even if we didn't say anything, we knew what had to be done. Knuckleduster, Airjet and I began running to where the screams came from and saw Koichi was being chased by the thugs we fought yesterday, except they looked different this time. My eyes widen. "They must have taken Trigger!" Koichi was...sliding on the ground and evading them thanks to his hands and feet that were emitting some kind of white circular ring energy. "A sliding or...gliding quirk? Cool"

"Come here!" The leader yelled as he shoots water in form of bullets from his arms. Koichi screamed in pain as the bullets hit him, sending him crashing to a wall. The thugs surround him soon as he was trapped against the wall. When the leader about to attack Koichi again, I tackled him to the ground.

"Iz- I mean...masked guy!" Koichi said. Seriously? Masked guy? Of all the names to give me. I quickly got up and brought out the Tonfas. The leader groaned before looking at me in shock.

"It's you, again!" He snarled. Soon two of his men came behind him to help. One with his arms, legs and shoulders covered in flames while the other with four wings sprout from his back and acid dripping down his mouth. From the corner of my eye, I noticed Knuckleduster and Airjet were fighting the other remaining thugs. "You stole my money and stuffs! I'll make you pay!"

"A-And I'll do it again if you don't back off" I said.

"Grr! Damn you hero wannabe!" He growls in anger as they began charging at me with their quirks running wild.

I jumped back and grabbed a nearby trash bin to block the incoming water bullets, then threw it at the leader who shot it away. I ran to the leader and swung my Tonfas to knock him off his feet. I then grabbed the fire covered fist that was coming at me, being careful not to touch his shoulder and flipped the thug over me. As the leader was about get up, I quickly whacked him on the head, rendering him unconscious. I then spun around to kick the flame man in the gut, following with a hit from my Tonfas.

I dodged the acid from above from the winged man. Unfortunately the acid hit the Tonfas I was wielding. I quickly dropped the melting weapons and started running. The winged man was flying and spitting acid at me without a care in the world. I brought out the chained Kunai and spun it around before tossing it at the winged man, wrapping his leg. I tried to pull him down, but he's too strong and my legs were slowly sliding forward.

"Damn it!"

"Need a hand?" A pair of large hands wearing brass knuckles held onto the chains. Turning back, I see Knuckleduster with a grin on his face.

"Knuckleduster" I said.

"You need more training for your strength" he said. I nodded and together with our strength combined, we pulled down the winged man.

"Buster shot!" Airjet fired a powerful air blast from one of his arm cannon at the winged man, sending him sliding across the ground, rendering him unconscious. Airjet walked up to the thug and began to restrain him.

"Where'd that little missy run off to?" I hear Knuckleduster ask Koichi. I saw them began to run off so I quickly follow them.

"She's chasing down that salary man from before!" Koichi replied.

We stopped when a big humanoid giant as tall as a building, with four arms walked through the city. It held Pop Step and one of the thugs in his hand and also grabbing a car. People were panicking and running away from the giant villain.

"W-What the hell?!" I yelled. "A colossal villain!"

Koichi and I could only watch in horror. We didn't know what to do. With my quirklessness and Koichi's sliding quirk, How can we fight something like that? I saw Knuckleduster swing on his grappling hook and kicked the giant's cheek with his feet, though the attack wasn't enough to take down the giant villain as it slapped Knuckleduster away, sending him falling to a canopy roof before reaching the ground.

"Ma...Master!" Koichi yelled.

"Knuckleduster!" I called out as we followed to where Knuckleduster fell. Thankfully, he's alive but unconscious.

"Kyah!"

Koichi and I heard a familiar voice screaming. Up above, we saw the giant's hands opened as Pop Step was falling.

"Pop!" Koichi shouted.

"Oh on! Pop Step!" I shouted. "Pop Step's quirk, from what I have seen, it isn't flight, so she's powerless without having a foothold to jump off of!" I clench my fist, trying to figure a way to save her, but then Koichi was already on the move. Immediately, he used his quirk to glide to a building to where Pop Step was falling. Koichi about to catch Pop Step in the air, but she jumped off him to the top of another building, sending him falling.

"What?!" I was shocked of what she did. Koichi's yelling alerted the giant. I watched the giant was about to grab Koichi, but he used his quirk on the giant's open hand to change his fall to land on a pile of garbage. I ran to check on him, but then the giant raised his fist about to crush Koichi.

"Koichi!" I yelled and ran as fast I could. I tossed the chained Kunai and stabbed the giant's arm that was about to crush Koichi. The giant villain saw this and raised his hand away from Koichi. I screamed loudly as I was brought up in the air. With this little advantage, adrenaline in my system and remembering how Knuckleduster and other heroes swing on buildings, I swing and land on his arm and ran towards his face. The giant scowled and shake his hand for me almost lose my balance, but I swing again and climb onto his neck and climbed up to his face. The giant growled and was about to slap me away, but before that happened, I readied the Kunai and slashed it underneath his right eye. Crimson blood splashed at my face.

"GRAAHHH!" The villain screamed in pain.

I quickly jumped off the giant and swing around him and managed to land safety to the ground. The giant covered his eye with both hands to stop the bleeding. I saw Knuckleduster was awake and tied his grappling hook from a pipe of a building to a pole. The giant unaware of this staggered backwards and end up tripping over the hook and fell to the ground. Then Airjet appeared out of nowhere, flying towards the giant and readied his right arm cannon to shoot the villain.

"SLEEPER SHOT!" He fired a green gas at the giant. The giant sniffed the air a few times before falling unconscious. I sighed in relief as the battle was over. After a few minutes, police arrived and arrested the villains. I was a little bummed cause I didn't take any money from them. I grabbed a cloth and wiped the blood off my face. I know I should be horrified at seeing blood but I've been beaten black and blue by Bakugou and his friends so it doesn't bother me anymore. I watched a grinning Knuckleduster talking with Airjet. After that, Airjet went to the police while Knuckleduster and I found Koichi and Pop Step in an alleyway.

"-but I had no business doing something heroic when I'm not accustomed to it at all" Koichi was explaining something to Pop Step while sitting down. "Strutting around acting like a hero under false pretenses...I'm just not cut out for it, you know? In the end, I just fell flat out of the sky...haha, I really thought I was dead back there"

"You know" Pop Step started with a serious look. "Hearing that kinda stuff from you, Koichi, is super annoying. Making excuses for every little thing? What is that your idea of being humble or something? Either way, blabbering on like that...it's pointless, so would you just, like put a sock in it already?"

"Huh?" Koichi looked confused.

Pop Step turned away from Koichi before speaking again. "I was going to say thanks, but...you're annoying me, so I changed my mind"

"You know, Pop Step..." I interjected, gaining both their attention. "You should be thanking Koichi. He did saved you. Even if you jumped off him to save yourself"

"Hey!" Pop Step shouted.

"Koichi, are you okay?" I asked.

"I'm fine" Koichi answered.

"Koichi, allow me to teach you exactly why you fell" Knuckleduster said. "It's because you jumped! All you gotta do now is work on that landing. You did well to absorb my technique of falling on the garbage pile" then he turned to me. "Izuku, nice work out there fighting the giant. With or without a quirk, you've shown to be true hero" I blushed at his praise. I felt really good being acknowledged like this. I still can't believe I actually did all of that. Almost feels like I'm in a dream or something. "But...there's plenty more for you and Koichi to learn from here on out, got it?"

"Yes Master!" I said making Knuckleduster grin widely.

"Uh, no. Like I've been saying, why have you started treating me like your disciple all of a sudden?" Koichi asked.

"You called me master just a minute ago, didn't you?" Knuckleduster reminded him.

"That was just something I said in the spur of the moment without thinking!" Koichi said.

"That's exactly why!" Knuckleduster stated, which surprised Koichi. "Your spontaneous words and actions, which you write off as spur of the moment, deep down those are your true feelings! It's about time you became conscious of it. Your aspiration to be a hero!"

"No waaay, that logic is a little forced don't ya think?" Koichi replied.

"Actually, I-I think it's great" I smiled at Knuckleduster's words. He may be a crazy guy but he does say some wise words. "Come on, Koichi. It's obvious that you want to be a hero. So let's be heroes, together" I brought my hand out.

Koichi stared at my hand before he sighs and took my hand and stood up. "Okay, fine"

Then all of us started to leave the alleyway. Knuckleduster was swinging away on his grappling hook, Koichi was gliding on ground, and Pop Step was jumping away. I wasn't really good at swinging yet so I just put my hands on my pocket and started walking home, following the alleyways to avoid attention. For me, today was the first day of my new life. We may not be heroes in the public eyes but that wouldn't stop us from doing the right thing.
