Lincoln and the gang were watching a fireworks show which Tera and desti seemed to enjoy
the fireworks showed the faces of many Pokemon
"So cool!" Ash said
"and it looks like the finale is coming up." Kiawe said
suddenly there was a huge amount of fireworks before it settled down
"and that's that." Z said
suddenly another firework went off
"or not." Z said
more fireworks starting going off but they were different
after each explosion an orb went back to a clown like body that was on a small island
"it looks like an evolved form of fireworks!" Ash said
"and it looks like the show isn't over yet."
"that's weird there isn't anything about this on the schedule." Kiawe said
"maybe it's an encore?" Lillie said
"maybe." Lincoln said
suddenly the being on the island jumped and landed on the railing in front of the group making them jump back
the beings head began to glow before exploding
"woah!" ash said
"I can't scan it." Z said "these explosions are causing interference."
however Tera and desti seemed to like the explosions
Tera especially since she was absorbing the leftover energy
"uh guys what's Tera doing?" Sophocles asked as he watched Tera absorb the energy
"I'm not too sure." Lincoln said "she's being doing that with every attack my Pokémon fire."
"can you do that?" Lana asked
"no I cannot." Lincoln said
suddenly after one grand finale the being jumped away
"well I guess that's over." Ash said
the next day
Lincoln was chilling in class with Tera in her harness while ash and the gang talk about the firework show last night
suddenly the ultra guardians bell began to ring
"ultra guardians quick to the base!" Professor kukui said
"but I have Tera!" Lincoln said
"and I have desti!" Wes said
"well no time like the present for babies first mission!" Z said as he got in the elevator
Lincoln sighed and took Tera out of her harness and got into the elevator
like he predicted the moment the suit tried to go on him it was impaled and transformed into something else
"oh come on! This is just sepiroth's outfit!" Lincoln said now holding a sword
"it even gave you the sword." Sophocles said
Lincoln teleported the sword away as they entered
"there you are alola ultra guardians!" Lusamine said on the screen
"so lusamine are we dealing with an ultra beast?" Z asked
"yes professor burnet told me what happened last night." Lusamine said as the screen showed a video of the being from last night "this humanoid fireworks being has been determined to be an ultra beast."
"an ultra beast?!" Ash questioned
"we also detected an ultra wormhole somewhere near the bay." Professor burnet said "we are currently trying to pinpoint its exact location."
"so it really was a Pokemon." Lana said
"and an ultra beast at that." Mallow said
"you know that ultra beast really liked to show off." Lillie said
"we decided to call this ultra beast Blacephalon." Lusamine said
"blacephalon..." ash said
"rotom would you please update data?" Wicke asked
"of course!" Rotom said as they began to update their data
"data updated!" Rotom said
"Blacephalon the firework Pokemon a fire and ghost type Blacephalon surprises it's opponents by exploding it's own head then drains their energy."
"of course it kept on surprising us a bunch of times." Sophocles said
"so it could absorb our energy." Kiawe said
"that's pretty strange stuff." Ash said
suddenly the lights went out
Sophocles let out a yelp and began to run around before bumping into togedemaru
"now where is that backup power supply?" Lillie questioned
just then clefable turned on the back up power
"I could sure do without that happening." Sophocles said
then the call with lusamine came back on
"we have determined the cause." Lusamine said "we have detected a powerful ultra aura on southern route 3 on melemele island."
"Blacephalon is a fire/ghost type so either it's attacking the power lines or we have a bigger problem on our hands." Lincoln said
"alright ultra guardians off you go!" Lusamine said
"ult-roger lusamine!" Everyone who was willing to say it said
they got on their ride pokemon and headed to route 3
when they got there they saw something that was definitely not Blacephalon draining power from the lines
"that's not Blacephalon." Ash said
"that's what I thought the ultra wormhole they detected wasn't Blacephalon's it was this ultra beast's wormhole." Lincoln said
"doesn't matter let's catch it!" Penny said as she threw a beast ball only for it to be deflected
the ultra beast fired a ball of electricity at the group which they dodged
"I think it's mad that we interrupted it's meal!" Kiawe said
then lusamine called
"we just got the run down of the situation." Lusamine said "another ultra beast just when we were dealing with Blacephalon it must've come from an ultra wormhole made by Blacephalon's explosions. please catch it."
the group decided to land in order to come up with a plan
while the group was deciding on a plan Lincoln handed Tera to Wes
"keep her safe please." Lincoln said as he hand Tera two beast balls to play with "those should keep her busy."
eventually the group came up with a plan to lure the ultra beast with electricity from their Pokémon
"alright ash I almost got it!" Lincoln said as he flew towards the ultra beast with a beast ball in hand
suddenly a familiar orb appeared in front of Lincoln
"aw crap baskets-" Lincoln said before the orb exploded
Blacephalon was back!
the two ultra beasts stared at each other (well the group could only assume they were staring) before they began a light show
"what are they doing?" Kieran questioned
"I think they're having a contest." Wally said
after a little while lusamine called
"sorry for the wait." Lusamine said "first the name for the new ultra beast is Xurkitree."
"xurkitree?" Ash questioned
"Xurkitree is the glowing pokemon and as you can probably tell it's an electric type that unleashes powerful electric blasts. Be careful." Lusamine said
"but mother how did this even happen?" Lillie asked
"this is probably the first time that these two have met someone capable of matching them." Lusamine said "so they're determined not to lose."
"so they're rivals." Kiawe said
"I got an idea!"" Ash said "let's combine out attacks so that they out shine then and hit them with a Z move!"
"that's a great idea!" Lincoln said
everyone prepared an attack and created a sparkling light
"hey you two this is our full power light show it's much better than yours!" Ash said gaining the two ultra beasts attention
they began to charge an attack as ash ready a z move
"alright lycanroc use splintered stone shards!" Ash said
lycanroc roc pointed a bunch of pointed stones at the two ultra beasts before charging at them and sending the stones towards them creating an explosion
"alright!" Ash said "get ready to catch them!"
however when the smoke cleared the two ultra beasts were gone
"what the?! Where they go?!?" Lincoln said
z had a look on his scanner
"nothing." He said "there's no way they could've dodged it."
"then where did they go?" Mallow asked
the next day
"any luck?" Lincoln asked
"nothing no signs of them." Lusamine said
"alright thanks." Lincoln said
"still no sign of them?" Ash asked
"nope. Maybe the explosion created another ultra wormhole and they fell through it." Lincoln said before noticing Tera still playing with the two beast balls he gave her
"hm I wonder what she finds so interesting about those." Lincoln said to himself
meanwhile Tera was thinking about how cool the sparky and boom creatures were
sure they were a bit mean to each other after she put them in the toys papa gave her but she made sure they got along
actually papa seemed to fall through holes in the ground a lot even when they weren't there before
maybe she could make some holes and make some more friends
yea she should do that
