Chapter 5:Atlas Command part 1
It was soon another bright morning over altas right now as still holding each other from last night was pyrrha and jaune. The two where holding each other close right now as pyrrha pulled his face into her bust. The partner and leader both slept soundly together right now. But soon enough pyrrha slowly stirred awake as she opened her eyes
Her emerald colored eyes stirred awake as she yawning trying to gather what happened.
"That was a strange dream…i dreamt my friends and teammates where here"she muttered to herself tireldy but felt someone in her arms
Glancing down she looked to see it was jaune still asleep with an arm wrapped around her right now. But the red head smiled a little right now hugging him a little happy to see it wasn't a dream. Soon enough she got out of bed to get dress
Slipping into the shower to clean up for maybe twenty minutes then getting dressed in the shower. She came back in her usually attire to see jaune up stretching his arms out with a satisfying pop as he noticed her awake
"Oh uh hey pyr….uh um…you sleep alright"jaune neoruvlsy asked as the red head blushed slightly as it was visible because of her white skin.
"Um uh yes…thanks to you. We should get ready today for when we head off to atlas command. Its quite…well a sight"pyrrha said
Immediately agreeing on that the two got dressed as they waited by the door with ren and nora for a bit. Till it opened to reveal clover standing their along with a couple others behind him being the other so called prisoners on the floor
'Ah your all awake. Good because change of plans today you'll be eating something at the base. Were on the clock for some things today. "Clover said
"Ohhhh but i want pancakes"nora whined
"Come now nora the faster we get the tour done. The faster we can spend time with our teammate"ren stated making her shift her attitude liking the sound of that right now
Quickly they followed him downstairs already waiting for them was hariett along with miller with a few of his soldiers. Mainly being miller, sarah along with bonnet who seemed to be doing better right now. But kept sticking close to hariett the entire time
"Man…i can't still can't believe their gone. Ughhh today sucks"sarah said upset
"Look i know your upset but….where sorry for your loss. They were very brave for what they did"blake said as it made her feel a little better to hear that.
"Oh hey guys your finally up. We've been waiting for you"ruby said excited waving to them all
"We had wait for a bit because team JNPR wasn't up still. Along with cousin as the grunt here phrased it….had a lucky night"lazuli teased making her cousin glare at her
"Alright stop it…enough of the teasing right now. I want to get this over with so we can relax before we come up with a plan"weiss replied
"Agreed but….well tarrus your going to need to wear something while on base. Because the general had merlot dig this out of evidence"clover said confusing them as miller stepped forward with a small box
Undoing the latches on the box he opened it to reveal what was inside. That being a small bracelet like device that wasn't too big as it was metal in appearance. With their being a small measured half an inch tall with a blinking light on it
"What the heck is this…a shock bracelet"yumi asked concerned as surprisingly adam took a very big step back from that. Because he never had a kind memoeire of wearing those SDC collars on his neck. As he took small rapid breaths slowly to keep his composure
Lazuli noticing this interlocked her hands with his to calm him down which he appreciated now
"No its a ankle bracelet. Thing got retrofitted by pietro to resemble the ones some people use on prisoners. But…councilwomen hill and him seem to have your back for some reason"clover explained but he was given the details on the bull faunus telling the truth on his desertion of the fang
This surprised them as adam was outfitted with the ankle bracelet as it didn't make him feel comfortable. But he was happy it wasn't a collar. They all soon boarded an airship to take them to atlas command
After a quick airship ride the group were soaring through the skies of atlas right now. Though maybe after a long flight they were all glancing out the windows in their respective airships. But as they did close to the window right now was nora peering outside at the city below. As the others talked for a bit.
"Man i can't believe we finally made it here in atlas. And now we get a tour of a military base"cardin said
"I know right. Because seriously i'm just happy we got here without any other complications"emerald said in relief
Clover chuckled slightly"might not wanna say something like that kid or you'll jinx yourself. You'll want that luck on your side"he replied as qrow shook his head

Though peering outside the window soon enough nora saw something.
"Hey guys look out the window i think where here!"nora exclaimed making them all crowd around the windows to see their destination. Ruby looked outside the window as her eyes widden in awe what she was seeing.
That being the main base of operations for the atlas military and their soilders. As standing their proud and tall right now was atlas command. With ships and soldier lining the iarstrips and landing pads. It looked like a impregtable fortress that not even other kingdoms armies could attack.
"Wow…..this is amazing"ruby said in awe
The airships they were in started to slowly descend toward the airstrip as their ships engines died down. Then eventually the pliots and them got unbuckled as the ship doors opened to welcome them to their allies main base. That being the might of the atlas military preparing for anything at the ready for when it comes.
Soilders where running down doing drills or patrolling the base along with that they could see pilots preparing fighter jets. All of them with pilots at the ready before some soilders waved some neon sticks around signaling them to fly off. As they jetted off with their engines roaring through the skies as falk saw them fly off as he smiled slightly seeing that.
Yumi noticed it"guess your wondering if your old squadmates are here flyboy"she teased
"Oh i am….i wonder if dads are here too. Maybe i should say hi"he replied
"Well we could if we encounter them during the tour. Maybe we could go say hi my mom and brother after this"weiss added
Mercury whistles at the sight"Whoa so this is the mighty atlas military command center. Pretty intimdating don't you think"he commented
"Eh you get used to it. Place may look intimidating but its our one defensive against the grimm here. Most of our soldiers either come to the FOB to get their missions, train, rest or just do some paperwork"hairet explained

"Foward operating base, be prepared to hear alot of military slang here."bonnet warned ahead of time. Which they expected though jaune looked toward one person
"Well uh we got someone whos been here before. You know this place like anyone else right"jaune asked the grimm hybrid who rubbed the back of his neck nerovusly right now.
"Right my cousin here can give us the grand tour of the place. Making sure we aren't bored to death from these guys boring tour"lazuli joked
"Hey it's not that boring only if bunny gives it"bonnet said to her girlfriend annoyance who yanked slihglty on her tail as the monkey faunus yelped rubbing it slightly in her grasp. Though merle chuckled slightly.
"Well you FNG better be used to this place because take everything in where you can"he replied

Miller rolled his eyes"it means fucking new guys, cut the chatter man and don't give the kids crap. Their alot more qualfieid than to be some trainees in my opinion"he said supporting them which made the group feel content.

"Yeah because were very well prepared for anything that comes in the way of thunder thighs"nora said presenting her arms in the air as behind her lighting struck. But this made them all stare at her for a moment as hariett shook her head
"Gotta fight that title here with elm maybe….though lets hurry up inside because its getting cold out here"hariett said as they all agreed rushing inside the military base right now wondering what will be in store for them once they get inside.
It wasn't a long walk as they walked into a guard post from the looks of it with someone checking id. Their were several guards along with two turrets on the ceiling ready to decimate any foes that stand in their way.
The guard stopped them requesting for their id as they showed them as they let the group pass. Once inside they were passed that they had to do a quick pat down as they went through a metal detector. Once mercury got through as he was in the process of putting his legs back on.
"Alot of security you gotta go through"mercury commented pretty annoyed
"Seriously its like they think where here to destory the place or something"yang replied as she placed her hands behind her head.

That being zane who was frowning in complete annoyance because he already got patted down. But right now he was striped to his undies as he wore a pair of dark blue compression shorts showing off his body right now. Along with that with his clothes being inspected by guards.
The same also went to adam who was in a pair of black compressions hrot himself with red lining it. Though he didn't even care being seen like this as lazuli blushed slightly at that.
"Yeah because uh didn't expect for you guys to strip him down to his undies"blake said very confused
Although bonnet looked toward four people right now mainly being the grimm hybrid many girlfriend who were blushing slightly. Though the monkey faunus just had a very teasing look across her face.
"Awww but those four are getting quite the show right now. Start throwing your boytoy some lien to dance for yah"she joked as the four felt mortified even hearing that as a few of them laughed at that right now. Though someone else laughed off close by.
"Come on wukong. Give the dang kid a break because i'm sure he aint too happy having to do all this crap again."a female voice said as they glanced toward the source
That being the old leader of the ace ops who retired being mariana trotuga in her usually attire. Carmine sighed walking over embracing the women kissing her on the lips for a moment before separating.
"Enough of this teasing…i take it you checked on dracona and our other guest for me today'carine ask
"Oh i did those two are doing great right i had to get mrs. poltina here to meet you all since she seemed rather excited to show you all around. Shes busy in RND right now meeting with the doc"marina said
"Well at least the good old general didn't shoot me on sight….but seriously can we hurry this up. Because i know the rules for whatever"zane said as they cleared him as the guard nodded

"Good because get some clothes on although….when the heck did you get a bunch of tattoos?"clover aksed gesturign to the many tattoos on his arms and the one on his neck. Carmine glanced for a second before staring at him as he slipped his pants on.
The doctor eyes twitched momnteraily before sudduenly yanking on his ear on he yelped slightly.
"Are you serious?! I thought you weren't going to go through with that stupid thing. But it seems that these grunts convinced you to do it. God you idiots"she said as they looked confused since she acted like a dotting mother toward him right now as the tiger snickered
"Hey that my kid lady. Besides hes old enough to make his own decision."nadia said
"She got a point their doc. Because i mean come it helps hide all those ugly scars."merle said

"Alright enough chatter we gotta get this tour on the road right now. The quicker we get through everything the quicker you all can get settled in."mariana stated as they agreed on that beginning to follow them off to begin their grand tour of the military complex.
The group began to head toward their first stop of their tour that being RND and development.
they were in awe of the place still all except one of them. The hall were lined with several doors as guards, officers, soldier and several others roamed the halls at the ready for anything. A few of them greeted a few of them in their group while a few saulted to miller which they found strange still.
"Man weird to be in a military complex still. Thought we be more out in the wilds when we became huntsman"jaune stated
Hariet laughed at that statement"it aint all that kid. Sometimes you'll have to get involved with the military at some point. We work sometimes with huntsman and huntresses on some occasion"She replied as they journey through the halls.

Falk enrovusly laughed sighing"well i did to follow in my dads footsteps. Though got kicked out after disobeying orders."he said saldy as maraina tap her chin looking at him. Because she recalled his last name wanting to confirm a theory of hers.
"Heyya kiddio your last name wouldn't happen to be bishop. Along with your dad being on the atlas valkriyies correct?"mairana qestioned peeking his interest hearing about his dad. Immediately pilot wondered if she knew his dad.
"Yeah falk bishop, let me guess you noticed the patches on my jacket"falk said pointing to the patches on his jacket. Miller laughed seeing those patches sighing for a moment shaking his head.
"Oh man your gonna piss some people off walking around wearing those. Those airheads never like it when someone struts around with their patches"miller said
"Come on those guys aren't that bad. I mean yeah they get pissed off at someone wearing one sometimes"sarah replied as someone spoke up from the side
"That because that didn't earn them bishop"a gruff female voice said making him jump from the voice. All of them looked around a corner at a women leaning against the wall. She looked maybe in her mid thirties with pale skin and long hair put into a bun. While she had light grey eyes, with an athletic build it seems. Her attire consisted of an atlas flight suit with a similar jacket to falks.
Sarah flinched slightly'oh uh peggy..i didn't mean to insult you or your crew. My brother was with you guys."she said reciivng a stern glare from the women known as peggy. Then she glanced at falk
Weiss slinked down slightly"oh no she might beat him up for sporting those patches around like he owns them"she thought to herself. Though the opposite happened as she walked over hugging him which caught them offguard.
"Though theirs only one exception for someone wearing those patches. That being our old squad leaders son how yah been kid"peggy said smiling
"I've been better because well…uh I got myself a girlfriend actually."falk replied nervously
"Oh really because i heard around that you were chasing around a rich girl. Your mom and sis mentioned that"she teased making him blush before glancing at weiss who went flush as her tail began to wag wildly right now as close by was winter who laughed slightly.

Their were several table with a myriad of contraptions on the tables like dust crystal, vials of strange liquids, lab equipment from beakers, falsk. Their were also a wide selection of holo computers for them to do some research or log some notes. Along with a large case of books on the opposite side of the wall that probably contained subjects on their current project.
Several people where in white lab coats doing their own thing ranging from human and faunus. All of them hard at work though once inside they started to give a small tour of the place.
"Welcome to research and development kiddios. This is where we develop and manufacturer new ways to protect the kingdoms and eliminate pesky grimm"mariana explained as they examined the place from a distance to not disturbed the scientist. Rogue was a little starry eyed seeing all the contraptions on display as several people were hard at work. Along with ruby in awe of the place as asani was enamroed in the place.

"I'm sorry young lady but that is a project were working on. We can't give out classified information"A male voice said which sounded familiar to velvet for a moment. The group turned toward the source of the voice to be met two men. The first being the infamous doctor merlot who was still in his usual attire. But the second was someone a certain rabbit knew that being will scarltina wearing a white atlas sciensitst coat.
"Dad?"vevlet said catching will offgaurd seeing her here. But the man smiled setting a clipboard down hugging her as she returned it.
"Well this is quite a surprise to see you here dear. I thought you'd be in vacuo or in mistral with your mother"will replied as he separated from his daughter.
"I know but well i wanted to come help my friends. Because ummmm…"She paused for a moment staring at her partners before blushing bright red a little. Will noticed this before eyeing some of the faces familiar to him.
"Well its a pleasure to see some old faces here. Pleasure to make your acqutiances again"will greeted
"Same here mr. scarltina. Because well its nice to see one face we know here at least"eria replied though the man eyed one person mainly being rogue as they all slowly moved away to put her on center stage.
"Yes pleasure all mine dear…hope your handling your leg alright. But you have worried your father extensively right now. Does he know your here"will scolded as the blonde slinked down.
"Come on give her a break. Her parents already said after where done here she is forbidden from leaving the house for five months without supervision. "Yang replied as the man huffed before noticing two face as he offered hands to his daughter two partners he knew of.

Though soon enough they passed by a certain table as a set of scientist where studying something on a table. That being ollie weaver who was in the middle of getting dissected right now. As the scientist where taking pictures of his corpse as onxyia flinched seeing that right now
Because he layed their motionless on the table as the scinetisti began grabbing tool to cut into his flesh. While one of them held a recorder pressing record on it.
"Exmaintion and journal entry #1. We've been tasked to dissect and examine the corpse of a new grimm hybrid. Blood test show him being ollie weaver terrorist leader of the white fang that has been crippled. We will begin the first incision."the scntisit said

"Yes…its just…i…they all seem nice. But some of them might just be as bad as any atlesian…it scares me"onxyia replied but he walked over wrapping his arms around her close hugging her gently in an embrace
"Look wolfie…i understand where your coming from. But…lets not just pry into it. Because my guess it might have been one of the spartans or whatever. Some of them are ex dust mines guards. Alot of them hated working their, alot of them did some bad stuff too. But don't worry I won't let anyone hurt you okay"he reassured

"No he doens't mean harm. Hes actually been helping us along with being a great asset against the white fang in havan. "Jaune answered

But a certain sniper beat him to it pulling the rabbit close as velvet buried her face into her girlfriend chest beginning to slightly cry her eyes out right now. As she gently rubbed and caressed the back of her head.
"It'll be alright bun….their all in a better place right now"she soothed
"Oh…it almost slipped my mind that you have two more partners."will said surprising them he knew about that

"Well of course my wife sent me a letter giving me the news. Even your sister has her own partner i'm sure you'd love to check up her. "Will said making his daughter slightly nod at that. But he stared at may gesturing for may to let him console his daughter.
The girl relented handing her off to him as he held her in a comforting embrace right now.
"What happened sweetie"he softly asked her as the rabbit stood their silent for a moment as she soon found the strength to speak.
"I..i w-we were defending the towers in havan from the attack. We were figthing scar…and then…two grimm knights showed up. We managed to hold them back but…i…i.."she said visible stuttering with each other because the memory is still fresh in her mind at time. As he knew what happened next.
"But…but scar he…he tried to shoot me. My aura was low but…coco..coco she pushed me out of the way. Then he shot her a few times…but i…i.."her voiced hitched s she felt her throat closing up more as some more tears came. As they finished for her.
"Coco gave her life to save her…she all thats left of their team"rogue sadly replied
Will looked very shocked hearing this as he held his daughter in a comforting embrace petting the back of her head. This went on for a few minutes until it settled as she pulled away with some slightly puffy eyes. Will whipped a tear away.

"I'm done with my checkup! I'm excited to join you guys on the rest of your tour."penny declared as ruby wheezed wriggling for air before qrow moved the bot away from his daughter

After maybe a half hour walk across the base they briefly stopped by the communications area to get a brief tour their. They were told some of the details but it'll be something important for any other missions they might have.
But they soon arrived in the cafeteria with military personal busy grabbing their food and meals for the day. As the group all grabbed something to eat right now as nora had a large tray in had with food.
"Man i'm starving i might go for second later"nora said digging into her meal but this startled some of the people close by how a girl her size could eat that much. Though some of them eyed a certain face that being zane who felt embarrassed from all the staring right now.
"Jeez this kid can eat alot. I mean she even rivals bonnet appeittie over here maybe even elms"miller joked. Though someone close by placed their hand atop his hand gripping it tight.
"You calling me fat here burn if you are you'll be severely punished for making that commnet"elm warned with a forced grin making the man whine slinking down in fear.
"Chill out rootfoot. You here to join us in messing with the youngblood"paddy said as a few of the soilders who were spartans were their. As they were told on someone having alot of girlfriend right now as some of them were laughing at him

"Well finish up your meals because well…were heading to our training area. Because we gotta show where you all can train except the academy"clover said as they all finished up their meals to head off to the next part of their tour right now. But they be passing by something upsetting
