Chapter 9:Honor The dead
On the lower part of mantle right now more specifically where pyrrha and comapny where going right now. Mainly to robyn homeless shelter to drop in and say hi. But right now they where trying to keep up with zephyra who was praticualry sprinting over their right now.
"Jeez shes fast even faster that people with speed semblance"bonnet joked while jogging after her
"Well she is worried about her friend it seems"Ren simply replied
"Well….in the last two weeks he has stayed with may along with miss aclus and her wife"pyrrha replied as they decided to keep running after her to make sure she isn't kidnapped again.
After maybe running after for ten more minutes they soon arrived at the shelter with zephyra panting out front from sprinting from one side of mantle to the other. Some passerby stared at her since she was the hine heiress. But as they caught up to her jaune panted whipping his brow from the sweat
"How….are…you…so…fast"jaune asked panting inbetween each word. As someone from the front entrance chuckled slightly
"Well this is a surprise to see right now. Seems that you have friends this time red"A familiar voice spoke up as it was none other than agine the ex talon soldier along with may marigold by her side. As pyrrha smiled at the two
"Oh well i'm sure you know uh zephyra here"pyrrha said as the heiress then grabbed may by her collar shaking her
"Wheres henry! Is he okay? Please don't tell me hes getting back lash for his boyfriend'zephyra whined loudly as agine pulled the girl away making may feel dizzy but she shook it off
"Wait….you know my cousin into the other team?"may asked as she nodded several times

But it seemed alot nicer than before like someone remodeled it with new furniture along with new heating systems installed as they all felt a sense of relief from the warmth inside the building
But from what jaune could tell he could see alot of people who looked owrse for wear. Though they were living with what they have despite living in mantle. Although as they walked someone rushed over hugging pyrrha legs. Which was june who smiled at her
"Pretty lady"june cutely said making pyrrha smile at that as following after her was henry who was panting as he swallowed
"Oh…my god how is someone so small so fast"henry siad panting as hunter was next to him holding a tot in his arms
"Anyone…i mean anyone since shes a little kid. And…who the heck are you guys?"hunter asked before long henry was hugged by zephyra as the teen was caught offguard but noticed her smiling returning it
"Zep! Oh man i…what are you doing here? I thought you where in havan, granted it did get attack recently"henry said undoing their embrace

"No offense willow but you look really ridiculous right now in that get up"lazuli commented

"Are you telling me to just let someone get mugged in broad daylight"blake siad but henry was with them scratching chin glancing over at them scoffing
"No kids got a point that victor vest gang. The vice vest of mantle lower streets…scumbags"henry said in disgust as some heard that name before recalling someone running into that mans daughter.
"Okay so what? Shouldn't we still help them…your a cop"blake argued but the man sighed shaking his head
"Kid that guys got a grip down here. Along with a few other well off company backing him up. Besides let the grunts do our work for us"henry said gesutirng to something
As right now an altas patrol of maybe six spotted them aiming their weapons at the gangster. They all put their hands up as three of them grabbed them placing them in cuffs. With a couple escoritng the mother and child away from harms. As blake was surprised to see that here
"Yeah lately they've been cracking down on the gangs here. My guess since those knukckledusters attacked havan. They might attack atlas too"Flynt commneted making them think about that which they didn't like
"Oh..oh thanks alot. Now i'm thinking those thugs are with those talon guys that are here"Falk replied annoyed as he didn't mean for that
Though deicidng to continue on for their trip. After maybe thirty minutes they soon arrived at flytn father music store which surprised weiss. As she ddin't expect him to go from selling dust to a music store. They stepped inside feeling the relief of the warm inside
But behind the counter placing some cash into his register was murphy coal. The man closed the register but heard the bell hearing it ring seeing his son their smiling
"Flynt my boy. What brings you down here…finally here to tell me you got yourself a girl back at that academy your at"murphy asked
Flynt chuckled"uhhh the only ones their areprobably into girls. Plus one of them is raz…you know that girl a heartbreaker and taker at the school"he said

"Well if it isn't willow schnee in my shop as well. Pray tell what brings a mother and daughter to my fine shop. After well…"he paused as he brought a chair up sitting down rubbing his hands together to warm them up saying something surprising
"After that devil jacque gele ruined my business"he added to their surprise
"Wait….you…don't hate these two? Because uh flynt here told us you lost your business because of their company"lazuli asked a sthe old man sighed rubbing his hands together
"Oh i am terrible mad at losing my dust shop. But at the same time I need to learn to overcome those type of things. Along with that…i know this may sound personally but…was what happened on that talk show true"murphy hesitantly said

"Man what are in these things?"he asked as easily joahnna placed two on pushing them into the truck
"Food and medical suppiles for the pit. So your that red head leader and well..boyfriend i take it"johanna asked making him blush slightly as weiss giggled overhearing
"Are you being teased now jaune for dating your partner. Maybe we should start doing it to blake and yang"weiss said as the cat faunus stared her down
"Funny….im pretty sure we can do much worse to you"blake replied as the two looked over at them as johanna went wide eyed. Then stared at willow sighing to her leaning agains the truck staring her down

They all looked to be wearing tribal attire. As they wore olive combat pants with brown shirts underneath black fur coats with tan trim on them. But they all wore a variety of different animal mask with three being female and the other five being male. Though leading this pack was none other than kraven staring them down
They all drew their weapons at the ready confused who these guys are
"Oh come on….don't tell me your some bounty hunter or something"falk joked as they all got behind the truck for cover as joahanna growled in rage
"That psycho is back! For once I would like for him to just leave my dam daughter alone"she said confusing them as blake went wide eyed realizing it already
"Seems someone hired a bounty hunter to take yuri. I'm sure we all know who that is"blake said having her pistol out at the ready. Soon enough kraven stepped forward with his tanto machetes out as he pointed at the truck
"Last time I told you if you got involved in my business you will lose your life. Though last time their was that man…where is he?"kraven asked confusing them
"Whos this man hes talking about?"jaune asked as flynt glanced up figuring who it might be
"That guy"he said as they glanced at him pointing at someone on a nearby shelter rooftop. That being someone carrying a staff along with wearing a cloak and bodysuit because it was fin who knelt down as he was kneeling on the edge staring kraven down
"Oh so you remember me…lets get this over with right now. My boss said this is under her protection from you and the talon"fin said as the hunter scoffed at him as he transformed his machete into a hunting pistol without a scope
"Ah their you are….you will be an interesting hunt."kraven said firing a shot at him bud he slide down rolling into cover with them as he stared at them.
"Who the heck are you….you into leather or something"lazuli joked as the man scoffed as he activated his semblance. That being his aerial form from before as they stared at him before he motioned ahead of them
"Help me take these scumbags out…i got work to do tonight"fin said as they nodded as they all broke from cover immeidailty. As weiss vaulted over from behind cover as she was met by one of these hunters. They swung at her but she dodged it jabbing her sword forward hitting them in the chest doing some noir damage to their aura. Though the hunter growled as he spin kicked her in the side making her stumble slightly
But weiss wasn't giving up from all that training she spent in havan with her teammates. Soon enough the hunter raised their hands trying to smash her head onto the pavement. But she quickly dodged it quickly summoning a black glyph underneath them.
"What the–"She hunter was stopped as they were launched into the air caught offguard by this. But as they came back down weiss reeled her foot back before launching it forward launching him into another hunter trying to attack flynt from behind
As the federo studnet readied his trumpet blowing into it firing off a sonic wave that was icy blue at one female hunter. She dodged the sonic strike as she dashed forward with a small hunting knife slahsing and slicing at him several time. But luckily he avoided it ducking underneath her as he was on his back.
"Hmph easy prey….your just a simple cub"she said raising her blade but then fin came in smacking her in the face with his staff sending her back. Then he helped flynt up
"Thanks….weird seeing you here now."flynt replied as the man scoffed molting his armor off
"Well….i got told to guard this place so yeah"fin replied cotniuing the fight
But right now squaring off with the big bad boss of this small pack was kraven. Who was busy fighting off lazuli who was using her semblance to try and catch him offguard. But kraven channeled into his as a elephant mirage appeared behind him. Then she decided to strike as she rushed into him trying to use her momentum to knock him down
Though right as she collided she impacted him but it felt like she ran into a wall at that moment. Lauzli bounced back onto the ground groaning rubbing her head from that sudden impact
"Ughhh what the heck…are you made of bricks or something"lazuli asked as the man cracked his neck stepping forward deicidng to use his fist for his prey.
"I am the king of the animal kingdom. You will be smart to step out of my way I have a job to do"kraven said but she stared him down quickly recovering drawing her sword
"Not going to happen….your not going to take that poor girl to that devil"lazuli said surprising him but he scoffed
Kraven reeled his fist back trying to strike her but she quickly avoided it using her semblance. Then she pivoted her feet launching herself forward slashing and dashing him to try and chip down his aura. But whatever his semblance did gave him a thick hide as he barely even moved from her strikes
Deciding to try and mix things up right now she quickly aimed her crossbow at him. Then she fired off a few bolts toward him as he activated his semblance again. This time a cheetah mirage appeared above him as he swiftly dodged it at blinding speeds to her shock. Then he dashed forward punching square in the gut as she gasped for ait
This launched her hard into a wall as she landed with a loud thud then fell to the ground. As that took a large amount of her aura down as she groaned picking herself up as kraven walked forward right near the shelter entrance
But as he did soon enough from the side willow stirked as the women didn't care about her disguise right now. She quickly summoned something using her semblance that being a alpha beowulf. The women then pointed it at him narrowing her gaze
"Sick em"she ordered as the summon did as order by its mistresses. The summoned beowulf howled launching itself toward the hunter as it caught karven a little offguard. As the summon slashed him taking a bit of his aura down with it. Though the man quickly regain his focus dodging another strike from the summo. Thinking of a new strategy he struck his new prey
The man leaped forward doding another one of its strikes. Then he coiled around it as he aciatvated his semblance again as it resemble a snake. Kraven then got on top of the summon as it clawed trying to attack him. But he coiled his legs around it beginning to wrap it around its neck. Then he put all his pressure into its neck sqeezuing it hard snapping it neck as it disappeared into a icy blue haze
The man got back on the ground being met by willow blade as he caught it easily with both hands. The two stared at her before moved her sword out of the way then palm striked her in the chest sending her onto the ground. As he raised his hand ready to finish the job one of the hunters called out
"Leader! Atlas troops are inbound we need to return to the den"a hunter said as the man scoffed removing himself from her
"A warrior never retreats….but this case we shall go now"kraven said as all the hunters pulled out smoke bombs throwing them to the ground. But weiss coguhed still seeing kraven who stared who down nodding to her confusing her. As he threw one down as well.
After maybe a few seconds it cleared revealing the hunters and kraven were gone just like that. Soon an atlas patrol came as bonnet talked to them what happened as the others regroup
"Okay what the heck was that? Who were those guys?"nora asked
"I have no idea…they seemed like a bunch of weirdos."falk replied but henry scoffed
"Their the pack….and that man leading them is kraven. An elitist who believe the hunt is the mightest thing in all of remnant. I've tangled with him a couple times"henry said
"Oh thats just great were dealing with more mercs. And now….this guy in leather is related to my adoptive cousin"lazuli said as they stared at fin who quickly grabbed her by the throat lifting her in the air
"Hey put her down and–"blake was stopped
"Keep your dam voice down you idiot. Merle already informed me about you lot early….shocker i run into you"fin said releasing her as he didn't squeeze hard actually.
"So you know us….you gonna be a dick like that razputin guy"Falk asked making the man growl at him for that.
Willow sighed"look can we discuss this tomorrow I need to avoid the public right now"he said but bonnet came back over dusting her hands off
"Well later were uh…having a party sort of for uh…you know the octopus. Marrow rented it out and their getting things all set up their"bonnet said as they decided to go to pay their respects for the soldiers that died on their journey

Clearing her throat taping on the mic"excuse me everyone please quiet down right now"she said making all of them stop their conversation having all attention on her. The women sighed with a heavy heart looking down

But at times their will be times which sometimes the best soldier or huntsman and huntresses aren't the best at everything. Unfruntaly recently i'm sure you all were given the terrible news on the passing of six of your comrades right now"Artemis said as the soldiers and everyone else stayed silent right now
The women then closed her eyes"but the best we can do right now is not think how they perished. Think about who they where to you along with who they where. It hurts to have to do this right now since some of you where good and lifelong friends with some of the people here. But I ask you to have a moment of silence for the six we lost in mistral on their way back home from their mission"she said

"Your dating my sister?!"velvet shouted surprised because she hasn't figured it out till now. This changed the mood as marrow went from sad to embarrassed quickly with cera blinking at her. As hariett held a laugh back slightly
"Dam guess you and the brat do have a shared taste. You both like bunnies"hairett joked being a little tipsy becoming lad back a little. Marrow glared at her
"I miss the old bree…bring her back i want the women who would tell me to follow the rules. Your a demon who replaced her"marrow said making them have a good laugh right now as cera sighed petting her baby sister head
"Awww are you mad that i'm dating a wolf like you baby sis"cera cooed as the rabbit frowned at her. As by her side was her boyfriend along with may their, with them was also nadia, pana, maris, cardin, eria, perun along with emerald their at their table right now. Their was also fin standing behind the booth.

"Shes got you their miss i wanted a relationship with multiple girls and one boy"emerald teased making the rabbit deliver a cute attack balling up her fist poduning them on her with her cheeks puffed up. They had a good laugh seeing that

"Oh charmed i'm sure….you soldiers better not say a peep. Since I only agreed on letting you here. Because if you start trouble your going to wind up in a ditch"pana creepily said with a forced smile creeping them out but skipper bonked her slightly on the head
"Your doing it again dear. Sorry about that when she makes threats she smiles like some serial killer"skipper said as cardin glanced at his friend who stared back

But soon enough from behind velvet she felt someone pinch her shoulder making her yelp. As hoping to join their booth was razma who was grinning at her right now
"Heyya cutie….so i was thinking. Maybe I can try to convince you five to let me join in…come on i don't bite. much"Razma sweetly said making the rabbit blush as she retreated to join her boyfriend who placed an arm around her

"Awww could you beat that record baby sis or do you not wanna share with that many girls"cera cooed as nadia shook her head laughing

"Are you serious? I…oh if my sister was here she would be mad but happy that someone broke her record"pana cooed

Fin chuckled"well she did when she had you kiddio. Though you got ugly in my opinion looking like that annoying jolly azaril when we were kids."fin added
"Awww thats cute….want me to help break another record"razma said with a toothy grin as they stared her down. Though nadia soon got up walking over to the bar for another drink from the bartender as she quickly ordered one. But as she waited someone talked to her
"Heyya tigs enjoying yourself. Make sure this time you don't strip to your undies"robyn said spooking the tiger who blushed at that
"Well uh…i aint gonna do that hill. I mean…come on i was celebrating that night."nadia said
"Yeah that being khan getting pregant again which was almost a year ago. Though i heard you adopted another kid. You gonna start collecting orphans"robyn joked as the tiger blsuhed smiling being near her right now as her heart began to race a little seeing her right now
"Nah i just took her from a bad home life is all…though lets party for the people we lost. Mind sharing a drink with me"nadia asked getting a cup of whsikey as robyn clinked her glass with hers as they talked. But watching this was mariana who hummed to herself seeing those two wondering thing
