So, after removing my fanfiction from Webnovel, I realized there were people who had stocked up chapters and didn't get to finish the fic before it was removed. It was removed because it had a 'Complete' status, meaning I lost all rights to edit or continue the story.

In this edit of the fic I will be removing certain things I was not too pleased with, like how I changed the MC drastically over the first 30 chapters, instead I did something else.

For those of you who are reading this for the first time, don't get scared by the first 10-15 chapters. They can be short and seem lackluster. These were the start of my hobby career as an author. It can be thought of as a casual read.

Anyhow, that was what I had on my mind.

Also, the first 6 chapters has been heavily reworked.

All right, everyone, let me start with this: This fanfic will not follow common-place logic and borderlines a power fantasy setting with a gradually more and more OP main character with world-building and character development. Hence, if you want logic at every turn and do and do not understand that this is fantasy... Go read a goddamn documentary. - Note this is a message for a certain kind of reader.

I would also remind the ones without Warcraft knowledge, that this is after all a Warcraft story, there will be a lot left unsaid, but that is also part of the story.

So, having base knowledge about zones, creatures, and characters is recommended. The reason I am mentioning this is that I removed the author notes that contained information about events going on in each chapter and my reasoning behind certain things out of my newly edited version.

So, take what you read with a grain of salt, and after a certain point, consider it an AU, as a few mistakes will appear, such as I was misinformed during certain parts while writing it. Nothing too drastic, though, except for a few character's ages and such.

~Enjoy~

—Chapter 1—

I felt something stirred to life within, my mind not aware for... some... time? 'Time? What is that?' 'Aw shit, time?' Two thoughts, one not entirely my own, spun inside my head, wreaking havoc like two children fighting for the same toy.

Two presences seemed to be fighting for dominance for what felt like an eternity.

The throbbing pain within my head dimmed as the sensation of sinking into thick mud permeated throughout my body.

'Body?' 'Body?' I suddenly reeled from the echoing inside my own head.

The sensation was... new? Old? Foreign? Familiar? I could still not entirely put it into words, but I felt something within me wake at that moment.

And just as I realized my body was still sinking through a mud-like substance, my eyes shot open as I desperately tried to move my arms.

My eyes stung as I tried to see through whatever substance I found myself in, only to realize that as soon as I opened my mouth instinctively for air, it filled itself with water.

With growing panic at the situation, I found myself swimming upward through the unclear depths before I knew my body had moved.

Before long, I felt my vision blur, the lack of oxygen kicking in because I opened my mouth earlier; water flowed into my lungs with abandon.

And just as I felt that I was going to pass out, suddenly I felt myself breaching the surface of the water, and with a *GASP* as I felt air fill my lungs once more, even while semi-full with water.

My entire body felt utterly spent as I finally managed to avoid sinking.

I lay on my back on top of the watery surface, and my eyes were finally able to barely spot the white moon behind the darkened clouds.

'... What? I'm... Alive? ... When did I...?' My mind resumed infighting as I drifted through the water.

Before realizing it, I had become stranded on a sandy beach.

As I lay on the beach's edge, where the waves could still reach, my reeling mind finally collected itself.

'...Where... Am I?' I thought with newfound curiosity, my previous fear lost, and my thoughts finally settled down into an analyzing and calm state of mind.

The moment I turned around, I found myself staring at a fish-like creature on its hind legs; the creature seemed to struggle for a moment as its small beady eyes stared at me with an intense gaze mixed with both fear and anger, 'No... that's definitely anger...' I thought with a slight frown on my face.

My first impression of the creature was that it was strangely familiar and somewhat cute as it made a "Mrrrrglll!" noise.

Perhaps I can befriend the creature?' I thought, but alas, it was not meant to be as the small fish-like creature charged at me with a galt resembling a zombie to a feast of brains.

It was only a slight distance away, charging at me, albeit slowly, its eyes turning bloodshot.

Then my limbs started to feel slightly wobbly as everything around me, the entire area around both me and the creature, grayed, and the dust around the fierce creature's feet froze mid-air.

*DING*

I felt my gaze forcibly pulled to the corner of my vision, where I spotted a line of unclear letters and numbers that were quickly becoming recognizable as a few seconds passed.

[Stasis: 5 Minutes Remaining]—

'What the...' I thought before my vision exploded into white from the headache that struck a moment later.

'Huh, that's weird.

I felt oddly calm, as if this was supposed to be expected; a thought in my mind was celebrating while another part of me was suspicious of the wall of text and numbers before me.

I still had no clue what was happening, so I mentally pressed the + icon.

It felt like the right choice at the time and was indeed the case.

-What's this? (1) (Tutorial Chain Quest)

—Description: You have just experienced a near-death experience and find yourself on a beach with a strange creature assaulting you.

What else is there than confronting this creature and perhaps figuring out what to do next?

Rewards:

-Racial Passive

-Title:? [Depending on the action taken by the User.]

-Failure Condition: Death by Baby Murloc.

'Well, this looks like it will be a rather fun experience...' I thought with surprise and a wry smile as I read over the failure condition.

'Could it be that simple to gain something out of nowhere?' I considered while the other voice gave the mental equivalent of a knowing nod while I felt my hand unconsciously grasp an imaginary beard.

As the tab closed, I considered what to do next but was instead spooked by the tab called [Passives], which automatically opened as the previous tab closed.

"I suppose it's best to utilize my time getting a proper overview of what I can do," I mumbled, annoyed at the interruptive tab as it unveiled itself before my eyes.

[Passives]

—[Stasis: 2 Minutes Remaining]—

'Shit!' I thought when I saw the timer come into view and fade into the corner of my vision once more.

I was again reminded of the tiny yet dangerous creature before me as all the tabs closed, 'I need to go through the important tabs quickly...' I thought as I almost pushed the [Spellbook(+)] tab, but it was instead interrupted as [CLASS SELECTION] appeared in bloody letters.

[Classes Available: 1/1]

[Shaman + 1 Intelligence, +2 Agility, and +1 Stamina per level]

'Odd, I can only select 1 class? Oh well, the shaman was my favorite in the game anyway...'

'Wait... Game?' I thought, with a sinking feeling, when I mentally pushed the confirm button.

[Class = Shaman] Selected.

I froze up entirely as my mind was bombarded with information.

The previous headache intensified to the extreme as I shouted out in agony while clutching my head, which was all I could do as the rest of my body was frozen by the ongoing stasis around me.

After what felt like forever, the headache suddenly faded, allowing me access to my mental faculties once more.

'... I see... This... was a game... once... At the same time, it is not... Not anymore...' I thought with newfound clarity.

I was thinking more clearly than since I had awoken beneath the water.

[Stasis: 59 Seconds Remaining]—

'... Well damn, alright! I get it!' I thought with growing unease. I would have to speed up in order to get through the most essential tabs to my survival, so I mentally pushed the [Spellbook+] Tab and skimmed through.

[Rockbiter Weapon]

—Description: Imbue your weapon with the power of earth, which reduces damage taken by a minor amount.

-Increases physical damage of an attack by 30% when imbued.

[Primal Strike]

—Description: A basic one-handed attack dealing damage based on Strength + Agility. [Collective damage bonus based on 15 Strength +15 Agility = 30.

[Earth Shock]

—Description: Instantly shocks the target with concussive force, dealing a decent amount of damage, causing a short stun, and interrupting the enemy.

[Healing Wave]

—Description: Heals a friendly target for a medium amount of HP.

Channel time: 2,5 Seconds.

'Not too bad... Survival seems doable...' I thought calmly. The spells I had at the moment were, in all honesty, a godsend.

One would enable easier survival if I took damage, and the other is a decently scaled physical skill based on two attributes.

But the most useful of them all... A ranged interrupt ability with damage attached.

And last but not least, a way to stay alive if I am grievously wounded.

Still, one tab kept blinking with a white light as if trying to get my attention, so I pushed it with a mental prompt.

It opened up to display a character panel, which was strangely nostalgic as I could see the familiar frame of all but the character being displayed.

Under the panel, however, were two additional tabs being highlighted.

Weapon(+)

-Worn Mace

-Worn Buckler

Armor(+)

-Dirty Leather West

-Dirty Leather Leggings

-Dirty Leather Boots

"...So... starting equipment, huh. That'll have to do, I guess..." I mumbled out loud, more for my own good than anything else.

I mentally pulled on each available item; suddenly, they appeared on my body as if I had worn them all along; the armor fit neatly, perfectly even.

As I turned down to my hands upon feeling the weight, I gazed toward both mace and buckler, which were indeed... Quite worn; the buckler's handle was almost loose, and the mace's handle was failing, but it would be enough.

[Stasis: 2 Seconds Remaining]—

[Stasis: 1 Seconds Remaining]—

[Stasis: 0 Seconds Remaining]—

[Stasis: Is being lifted]—

I could feel the wind on my face, and my surroundings came to life. The dust below the creature's tiny legs fell to the sandy beach as I directed an [Identify] its way, and my eyes widened in realization.

The damn creature out-leveled me to such an extent that its icon was a large rattling skull above its head where the level displayed itself, with bloody tears running from its empty eye socket; the skull-like head seemed to laugh at me as the creature came closer.

[Mirefin Murloc(Tadpole)] (Level: ?)

—Description: A recently hatched Mirefin Murloc, the Murloc is angry because an ugly-looking creature has invaded its proclaimed pond. The little Murloc instinctively protects as it has prevailed against its siblings for supremacy over the pond.

HP: 500

MP: 0

With both mace and shield in hand, I positioned myself to prepare for the murloc's attack, which was, in all honesty, quite impressive, were it not for the fact that I now learned that even the baby Murloc has razor-sharp teeth I would have clapped at its performance.

But even as I moved about to receive the Murloc head-on, my body was sluggish to the extreme; I felt like I was affected by an unnatural fever while trying to walk through an arctic landscape with snow above my knee.

And just as the Murloc prepared to leap at my mid-section, I put the buckler in front of me while preparing my own attack by holding my mace outward in preparation to meet it once it struck the buckler.

"Mrrrrrrrrglllll!" The tiny Murloc cried out as its little legs launched it's small frame directly toward me.

*THUD*

Turns out I was much weaker than I initially assumed, as I felt my wrist crack upon the impact of the Murloc into my buckler.

I could barely tilt my buckler as I grit my teeth in pain while imbuing the mace with [Rockbiter] and swinging it toward its side while also activating [Primal Strike].

*Crack*

It struck the Murloc, who wailed in pain as its little arm hung limply from its side while it fell backward upon landing in front of me.

Turns out, even a baby Murloc can get pissed off beyond belief. It even forgot its broken arm as it lunged at me with its tiny maw open wide.

And just as I was going to lift the buckler a bit higher in order to prevent the Murloc from getting past it, I winced in pain as my wrist refused to listen to my command.

Resulting in the tiny Murloc getting past my shield and biting into my shoulder; I felt my skin part ways, and teeth meet tissue before reaching the bone; I cursed like a sailor when the pain arrived.

Blood sprayed everywhere as my vision blurred due to the pain coursing throughout my entire body. Apparently, a Murloc's bite hurt; who would have thought?

I felt its maw release its hold and felt a cold layer of sweat when I realized it was attempting to go for my throat next.

But just as it was going to rip through my throat and onto my esophagus, I grasped its neck with my hand, which had the mace falling to the ground as I attempted to pull the Murloc away.

It turns out that even that was not enough; it only delayed the inevitable as its maw slowly closed in on my throat.

'Shit!' I thought as adrenaline went through me like electricity. However, something strange happened next.

As if getting an adrenaline-filled epiphany, I quickly recalled the spell [Earth Shock] and clenched my buckler-wielding hand tightly, making me wince due to the injured wrist as a loud *TWACK* struck the murloc's face head-on, making teeth, flesh, and even an eye pop out of its head as it violently tossed backward from the sudden impact.

The baby Murloc lay with its front body on the sand, face down, while its limbs twitched as its gills flapped briefly before they leaked blood, and its body finally stilled as death had arrived.

[Mirefin Murloc(Tadpole)] Level 25] Slain.

[Level Up!] [x6]

Current Level: 7

In the notifications that popped up, I saw a bar at the side with a number on both the start and end that kept growing full until it finally stopped at Level 7 and halfway to Level 8.

'Damn, six levels from defeating a baby Murloc...' I thought as a wry smile found its way on my face.

Adrenaline flowed like lightning through my veins, and a small part of me wanted more, but reason took over as I stared at yet another wall of text.

[Quest complete]

-What's this? (1) (Chain Quest)

Title Rewarded: You Monster!

(3-minute cooldown.)

[Level 3 Shaman Reached] Reward: [Frost Shock]

[Level 5 Shaman Reached] Reward: [Lightning Shield]

—Description: The caster is surrounded by spheres of lightning.

"... Did I really have a choice except to kill that Murloc? Or is this system just mocking me..." I mumbled to myself, quite a bit put off by the title and first kill, but I was quite pleased as I looked over the rest of the rewards.

'Will to Survive, commonly known as why humans were one of the best classes in the game...' I thought wryly, as it had yet to sink in, that I could recall this world as a game and real life simultaneously.

However, the real-life part was unclear, as if a thick veil of haze was intentionally making me unable to recall anything except for basic motor functions and stances I had been taught by my previous masters.

At this, I couldn't help but laugh slightly; a part of me always craved power, while another part of me believed the power to be only a means to an end.

I sighed as I leaned down to grasp my dropped mace while my mind was churning with thoughts.

The new spells were a welcome edition. Finding my arsenal growing already was a boon to my continued survival in this murder world.

Then, all of a sudden, the sand beneath my feet trembled, and I felt myself stumble as I stood up from picking up my mace.

My heart sank as I saw a cloud of dust in the distance, a horde of grown Murlocs heading my way with reckless abandon, weapons raised, and a crazed look in their eyes.

'Well... Fuck.' I thought as I felt my legs move before my brain registered what was happening.

The result was a mad dash toward the distance, where I could barely spot an entrance toward the woods.

It was almost as if the beach was barred off, and only one path was open for me; luckily, my brain sometimes functions without direct input, thank the... Light?

*FWIP* *THUD*

A spear made of barnacles and old wood crashed in front of me, and I couldn't help but let out an involuntary sound of surprise as I quickly gazed back to see the salivating fish-like monsters close in on me.

Deciding to do something reckless and perhaps stupid, I stopped and cast [Frost Shock] on the sand.

It quickly turned into an icy surface before I felt cold sweat run down my forehead as another spear just missed my head.

I then proceeded to run as fast as I possibly could toward the woods and was pleased to hear the wails of the Murlocs failing to get past the icy patch of smoothed-out sand between us as I escaped into the ominous-looking forest.

I kept running until I could no longer hear the distant roars of gibberish, and I finally managed to escape from the chase.

My lungs burned, and I decided to heal the injury to my shoulder as I cast a [Healing Wave], which took more than the initial cast time of 2,5 seconds for some reason.

I smiled with triumph before I promptly faceplanted to the ground as everything turned dark.
