-Chapter 25 Start-

[MC PoV]

Just as I lunged at Tichondrius after sending the newcomers toward Cenarius, Valeera, and Calia for support, the winged vampire tried to halt their advances which I promptly stopped every time. He tried teleporting away using his bat swarm ability to distance himself from me.

When the Dreadlord tried to cast his spells, I interrupted him with sharp spikes of earth emerging from the ground every time he had to stand still. I kept interrupting him from halting the newly arrived reinforcements.

Tichondrius grew increasingly furious each time he failed until he gave up his previous approach, and the ground around him lit up in green flames, but that was not the only thing he did. The green fire then intensified, soon covering the area around us. Then he released a thin cloudy mist of what felt like rot and disease. If it was not for the fact I could feel and somehow see this invisible haze through whatever means he had to hide them, if not, then I would have inhaled it by now.

I threw an arc his way, which he now was prepared to dodge, and just as he evaded the arc, I pointed my hand towards him and clenched my lightning-imbued fist; what he did not see was the vapor coming from my hands, then frost starts to form at his feet, Tichondrius lights the ground under him ablaze again and points his remaining hand towards me, green sickening light starts flaring up in his hand as I feel pain hit me yet again.

This time it did not send me flying. Instead, a green insignia appeared on my chest and exploded with intense heat as the green fire tried to consume me. While I was trying to shake off the pain, Tichondrius stood still and watched me with a sadistic smirk.

Just as I managed to extinguish the green fire he cast at me, I caught a glimpse of Tichondrius regenerating his injuries from when we got blown away.

Now the arm that was missing was as good as new. His eye was taking shape within the socket as he groaned comfortably, blood dripping from his mouth.

That was the moment I realized what he had been doing, he was healing based on the amount of damage inflicted, and my mana pool felt like it had emptied slightly, which meant that one of the spells he had cast had a mana-draining ability as well as some sort of lifesteal.

'Damn it! I don't have a choice other than to go all out. I must be sure I can finish him off if I use this...'

I decided to put my cards on the table. Even if I wanted to hide my abilities from the immortal Dreadlords themselves, I had no choice here.

What are secrets worth if you are dead?

While Tichondrius was spending a few seconds getting used to his newly grown limb and eye back, I had closed my eyes. I used everything I had to increase my damage: Blood Fury, Arcane Power, and Elemental Surge. I had yet to learn what the result would be if I used these abilities on top of each other.

Something... was weird when I started using my power-ups... something... that felt right, almost like I was guided to do so.

I felt my body swelling up, my muscle tense and bulge, and that was only Blood Fury. The next one was Arcane Power.

I flared up as purple tendrils of magic surged in the air around me, extending meters out from my body, levitating me off the ground, as rocks, pebbles, dirt, and grass gets lifted up along with me briefly as I was surrounded by a purple light which was humming intensely, the feeling was addictive, the feeling power felt incredible, I almost lost focus for a moment due to the sense of ecstasy.

Then I take a deep breath and use almost all my remaining mana, and pump it into Elemental Surge. I felt the world around me slow down more and more until everything turned silent, except my loud beating heart thumping rapidly, pumping as much magic into my body as remotely possible.

I will my body to wear lightning, then I felt layers forming around me, calm churning lightning coiling around like greeting an old friend.

If not for the fact that I was being smothered by the elemental nature itself, I would have seen Tichondrius's face. His previous smirk slowly shifted towards a more severe expression with each passing moment; as he observed the changes, he clearly was sensitive towards mana and what was taking shape right before him.

When my momentary transformation process ended, I turned my gaze to Tichondrius. I had almost forgotten myself in my current state as I felt myself overflowing with magic. I could see everything around me so clearly now that even traces of magic was visible, dancing around in the air playfully. Beautiful and fragile lines of different colors danced around me until I noticed they tried to avoid what was in front of me.

Which highlighted the Dreadlord in front of me almost as a green pillar of light, but it was rotten, so overly wretched and vile, I almost recoiled due to what I first assumed was the smell. My first notion is to destroy it, annihilate it, and make it disappear.

That was what I intended to do, as I felt my hand instinctively stretch toward the Dreadlord as a chaotic buzzing sound started in the area around us.

Then I felt myself drift into what felt like a dream and everything turned black.

[Narrator PoV]

The Dreadlord was suddenly tossed backward. He had no idea how this happened as it was so sudden that his mind had not yet processed that he was being hurled through the air, then thrown violently up to the sky. Tichondrius barely noticed the purple arcs of lightning following him as he was being manhandled like never before.

Then a short distance away from the Dreadlord, a being made of purple lightning with cloudy features suddenly took shape. The first thing that he could barely register happening was an enormous fist curling up, as violent crackling was echoed in the sky, then he was violently propelled backward yet again.

After the Dreadlord realized he was flying through the air like a meteor, he felt tremendous pain coming from the left side of his body. Still, he had no more time to consider this as he hit several trees without any signs of stopping and continued flying through the air until he collided with a rocky hill.

The shockwave of the Dreadlord hitting the hill made a shock that covered several hundred meters around it with a deafening *BOOOOOOOM*.

The being made of purple lightning now stood still in the air above, watching it intently for a brief second before it appeared in front of the downed form of Tichondrius and raised its arms up in the sky, as silence took place briefly before a sound like never before in the Dreadlords memory was heard, the air screamed and wailed like thousands of banshee screaming at the top of their ghostly lungs, as a small orb of purple appeared above its hands.

Tichondrius was now staring at the tiny purple orb as he was paralyzed from the earlier blow, electricity coursing through his body, his grin was entirely gone, and something akin to shock was taking place instead as he watched the being and the little purple orb, after a short moment the wailing stopped. The air stilled. Now the earth was rumbling, and the little orb grew larger rapidly as lightning coiled around it, trashing violently until it suddenly stopped.

Just as Tichondrius tried to look at the violent storm above him, he saw two bright eyes glowing fiery purple looking right back into his eyes with absolute calm and disdain. At that moment realized he had underestimated the lowly being called Medan, and gravely so.

The Dreadlord only now noticed that half his torso was gone, the left side of his body had been disintegrated, and the process was still ongoing as a tiny bolt of purple convulsed in the middle of his chest. It looked like the small bolt was attracting the lightning around the orb above him.

This was the stormstrike's passive at work, attracting all lightning around the target hit by it and leaving a small marker in the shape of a tiny bolt purple bolt of lightning.

In a last act of defiance, Tichondrius pointed his remaining finger on his right hand towards the orb above him and used all his remaining magic at it with his vampiric ability to drain the magic around him, but was surprised when it failed, as it left him utterly dried out of mana.

Tichondrious yelled, "Impossible! You are... inferior... I.. was supposed to... win..." Those were the last words the Dreadlord could mutter before the being was gone from his sight and the orb finished its descent towards his paralyzed body. Tichondrius was stuck on his back as he watched it get closer and closer until everything turned white.

This time the explosion did not make a thundering boom. No, it was entirely silent as it flashed white, hundreds of meters with rock, earth, and trees just evaporated into nothingness in one gigantic crater, not even the ashes of the Nathrezim leader remaining.

[Back To MC PoV]

I feel my senses return to me. I slowly opened my eyes, realizing I was standing hundreds of meters in the sky. Even as surprised as I am at the situation, almost like those dreams, you just wake up and feel like you are falling.

But I managed to calm myself and consider what was going on.

One moment I had felt the need to remove...something... Until it hit me.

'What the fuck just happened? I can recall using Elemental Surge... but after that, I reached toward Tichondrius and... Where the hell is he!?'

When I looked down, I froze. Hundreds of meters of the landscape simply gone. Poof, the only trace that something had happened was a gigantic half-sphere of a crater.

I was awakened from my stupor as I realized my body emitted weird crackling sounds. Then I saw my hands as I lifted them up in front of me. A layer of lightning pulsated across my whole body as it was hidden in thick mist.

If anyone could see how I looked right now, they would undoubtingly think twice before crossing my path, even if I was a friend and ally.

I decided to get back to the ground and released the Elemental Surge, resulting in a calm hum as I turned back to normal, lightning and mist leaving my form and released into the air. My body deflated and left me feeling weak.

Suddenly in the distance, an angry roar was heard. I sighed as I realized that I was thoroughly out of mana and decided to try to prepare myself before I could get to the next fight. I just lightly jogged in that direction.

On my way there, I opened my ooze bag, pulled out a few fruits wrapped in leaves, and ate them as I slowed down. The fruits my so-called *Daughters* had grown came in handy earlier than I could have anticipated, then I checked my mana briefly as I kept running.

[680/5990 MP]

That fight had taken a lot out of me. Feeling quite drained and tired from that stunt I had just pulled. Still contemplating why I had lost control mid-fight, which worried me greatly.

When I had fought the hydras, I was not even close to the transformation that occurred this time, but the signs had been there somewhat. My affinities seem to affect my entire skillset, but never before had it overwhelmed me so much that I blanked out for most of the duration.

Clearly, this requires experimentation and proper testing. It would be scary to use it if I had friends or allies nearby when I had to pull out all stops to deal with a problem.

While considering this, I almost tripped on a nearby tree stump and stumbled around momentarily before getting my balance back. I had not gotten more than a hundred meters away from the area I supposed I deleted from existence by now, but what I saw next surprised me.

Lunara was supporting herself on a nearby tree, as two legs were clearly injured by something that had bitten her with so much force that bone was visible.

What I did not notice at first was her eyes. They were fixed right at me the whole time, her body as tense as a bowstring. As I slowly returned her gaze with my own, I saw why.

It was pure, unadulterated fear.

After a tense moment, I asked, "Saw what happened earlier, did you? Well, that makes one of us."

Her eyes refuse to leave me even for a second, but my words from earlier are still ringing in her mind as her eyes somewhat lose a bit of the previous fear, still wary, "What... Was that? What ... Are you?" she asks carefully.

" I don't really know; I am just a shaman... sorcerer?" I said with a shrug, then I went closer to her and pulled out some bandages covered in some slight green ooze from my bag. Probably not the best container for carrying supplies, I swore to myself to get an enchanted bag when I returned to the town.

Lunara, still wary about my intentions after what she had witnessed happen to the nearby forest, moved slightly back before her injured legs failed her as she fell to the ground. "You have nothing to fear from me, Lunara," I told her. She visibly calms down but is still a bit wary. She sighs, then looks at me and nods slowly.

I then sit in front of her and gesture towards her with my hand to put her injured leg forward, which she does after another moment of hesitation.

After applying the bandages, she heaved a sigh of relief. As she sat there silently, I rose to my feet and prepared to run towards Cenarius and my party; however, I stopped when Lunara whispered, "Sorry... sorry, about before." I turned to her with a nod and a smile and ran in the direction from which I was initially heading.

As I ran through the woods, I heard the agonizing screams of demons in the distance. Then as I was closing in on the location where Cenarius and the rest were probably fighting, all sound around me quieted into absolute silence.

This phenomenon stopped my running almost instantly, and I studied my surroundings the moment I realized this.

'Something is off.' I thought to myself as a large crow became visible above, standing calmly on the top of a tree and studying me with intelligent eyes.

Then it descended towards me very slowly as the raven slowly turned into a humanoid shape. A man with his face hidden, wearing a brown cloak with dark feathers around mantled shoulders, looked at me curiously but soon turned to shock as his eyes became visible.

It was then I recognized who this was. I, too, was shocked. We both pointed at each other and said at the same time,

"Father!?"

"Son!?"

'How does he know!? My identity should not exist in this timeline!?' That was my immediate thought. Then we both simultaneously asked again,
"How are you here!?"
"Why are you here?!"

That resulted in both of us staring at each other like we were idiots until Medivh said, "Erm, what I do mean is, how are you... here? I have only seen you in Azeroth years into the future if my actions had been different up to this point... You should not... exist...?" The Prophet of Azeroth asked in a weird tone, clearly his mind was reeling from the realization of something.

Then Medvh continued as he looked me in the eye, "I came here curious to see who had proved my visions wrong; however, I did not expect to find my son fighting with a Nathrezim..." He continued.

I stood there momentarily, processing the information. He had been studying me until I said, "I... honestly don't know how I am here. I woke up in Dustwallow March on a beach filled with Murlocs, somewhat without any of my previous magic, and worked from there?" And as for fighting with the Dreadlord, he tried to kill me first?" Medivh shook his head at my response.

"I had never thought I'd see the day my son became an anomaly. You were meant to be one of the most powerful mages in existence, but what I sense from you is something else. If it is for the better or worse, I don't know. We both may figure this out in the future... Though It might be the best that Azeroth does not require a Guardian no more..." Medivh looked at me with a small gentle smile as he relayed his thoughts to words.

"But don't worry, I will tell your grandmother that you so recklessly went facing off the leader of the Nathrezim alone. I am sure she will be very, very proud of you. However, I am running out of time. We will talk again soon. I am glad to see you here, Med'an."

"Even if the circumstances are questionable, I believe you will manage. Oh, and your friends are fine, and the Annihilan should be on his last legs." He said with a hint of humor and a barely noticeable smirk as he started transforming

Before he could transform completely, I interjected, "Are you really leaving just as I was going to question why and how you know all this?"

He responded saying, "Indeed. I do, however, have a last gift for you, son." suddenly, the air around me shook, then he instantly transformed as he flapped away, leaving me dumbfounded and gaping at the behavior of the previous legendary Guardian of Azeroth and my Father.

'I really can't recall him being like this...' Was what I could consider before sounds returned, and my vision blurred.

Then I was suddenly kneeling toward the ground feeling lethargic as a feeling of weakness hit me again, but this time it had no mercy as I fell to my knees while gasping for air, clueless at what my father had done.

I was finally able to rise back on my legs. 'I feel... stronger. What did he do?' After realizing that trying to figure out Medivh's thought process was utterly stupid, I ventured on, the direction of where I was heading before my impromptu meeting with my father.

'I better confirm what he said about the fight with Mannoroth.'

As I walk through the woods and get to an opening, as I lay my eyes on the orc barracks and tower, I can see Mannoroth lying in the distance, one eye hollow and lifeless, his glaive far away from him caught by long vines.

Thrall, Cairne, and Grommash standing behind Cenarius as he was just done channeling his magic into the earth around him, making sharp trees descending back into the ground as he had just impaled the behemoth through the eye and through the skull, effectively finishing their encounter with the massive Annihilan general.

Jaina and Calia were seen further behind, while two large water elementals were just done dealing with felguards and satyrs. Just as I was observing the situation, a shadow appeared on my side, and a small shape stumbled into me with a hug and then sighed a massive breath of relief.

Standing there, I realized that the people present were staring at me.

"What?" I questioned out loud.
