When JD came home after his fun filled night with Val he was met with several little kids running around Branch's Bunker with Clay, Suki, and Poppy trying to keep them entertained while Branch was making them food. He could not help but laugh at the sight that CJ and Gretal were doing makeup with Clay while Poppy was reading to them. "So what's going on here?" John asked Branch as he finished setting breakfast up. "Clay roped us into taking care of the kids overnight and this morning. So BREAKFAST IS READY!" Branch hollered. There was a rumbling of tiny little feet heading towards the kitchen and sitting at Branch's large table eating the food he had prepared. It did not take long after they had finished eating that Snythx and Guy came to collect their son and Suki said that she needed to get CJ home. Poppy decided to go with her. Poppy gave Branch a kiss goodbye and grabbed her scrapbook while Suki just waved at Clay. They all left JD, Clay, and Branch alone with the kids. "Clay, can you take the kids back home? I need to talk to Branch." John asked. Clay begrudgingly agreed since he was the one who got them into this mess. Once everyone was gone leaving only Branch and John. Branch looked at his father. "So what do you want to talk about?" Branch asked. John just smiled at his son and grabbed his hand. "Well Val and I have been talking and we have actually decided to get married and I was hoping you'd be my best man." John said casually. Branch looked at him with shock. "What! That's amazing of course, but why didn't you want Clay to know?" Branch asked, confused. "Well we are hoping to just keep it low key and I was planning on telling them the day of having them come down to the church then surprise them with the news. Also you know how this family can get. We just want the people closest to us there. But definitely bring Poppy. Suki and Biggie are also welcome to come but no more than that." John said, explaining his thoughts. Branch understood what he was saying and spent the rest of the day helping him plan this shotgun wedding.
Once Suki dropped off CJ to her mom and went off with Poppy to Satin and Chenille's Pod because Smidge had some news to share. When they entered the pod Poppy was about to hide the scrapbook Branch made for her, but Leggsie grabbed it before she could and stratched out of her reach. "Poppy you got a new scrapbook?" Leggsie said, showing it to the twins. "It's not the most well made." Satin said. "Not even a speck of glitter." Chenille finished. Poppy was not happy that her friends were making fun of her special gift from Branch. She quickly grabbed it from the girls and held it protectively. "Branch gave it to me for True Hearts Day." Poppy said defensively.
Upon hearing that Branch was the one to have made it the tune of the girls changed from critticle to gushing about how sweet that was and asking about what was in it. They know that Branch doesn't like all the things or most of the things that they do but when he tries and does something like this they want to make sure his efforts are noticed. It's part of their way to try and make up for the years that they were not very kind to him. Poppy told them that it is filled with pictures of them and song lyrics and poems that he has written about her. They just cooed at how romantic he was to her.
Having enough of the attention she tried to shift the conversation. "Ok you can look through it later, but he made me promise that if I showed anyone that they wouldn't tease him about it. Ok? Also we are here for Smidge, not me." Poppy said with everyone else nodding their heads in agreement. Smidge had just been watching patiently as Poppy tried to give her the spotlight which she was grateful for. "So Smidge, what did you want to tell all of us?" Suki asked, helping Poppy to bring the topic back to Smidge. "Nothing much, just this." Smidge said, showing them a ring on her left hand." Everyone was left speechless for a moment. "Milton proposed!" Poppy said as she rushed towards Smidge to give her a hug.
This is why Smidge loves Poppy, because no matter how busy she is or how much attention she unwantingly reseivecs she will never make any of her friends feel like they are second best or not as important. She will do all she can to make them feel special. And Poppy wanted to make sure that Smidge felt special because this was huge her friend was getting married! She did not need her big moment overshadowed by her. Although hearing about Smidge getting married did make her wonder when she would be to tie the knot with Branch, but for now it was about Smidge.
Smidge could not be happier that her friends were so excited for her big day. Even though Milton and her are planning a long engagement Satin and Chenille are already planning her wedding dress. Suki is talking about music and Leggsie is talking about what flowers she would want. Poppy is about to offer to back the cake when she is interrupted by Biggie who bursts in panicking asking for Satin and Chenille's help to find the perfect outfit for tonight. "Please, I need help! It's a fashion emergency." Biggie said, a little dramatically. "Hold on Biggie we will help dress Mr. Dinkles in a moment." Chenille said. "Smidge was just telling us that Milton proposed." Satin finished. Biggie looked at Smidge like he was about to squeal. "Smidge, I am so happy for you. Milton is a great guy and it looks like he makes you happy. I'm so happy for you." Biggie said almost forgetting the whole reason he was actually there for.
Smidge just smiled back at him. "Thank you Biggie I was actually going to ask you when the big day comes if you'd walk me down the aisle." Smidge said, a little nervous. "Really." Biggie said excitedly. "Of course you've been like a big brother to me all these years." Smidge explained. "Of course Smidge. Um, one question. Could I bring a plus one?" Biggie asked, blushing. "Mr. Dinkles will have an invite too." Smidge said laughing. "Thank you but I actually wasn't talking about Mr. Dinkles." Biggie revealed. The girls looked at him confused. "Who were you thinking of then?" Satin and Chenille asked in unison. Biggie was blushing profusely now and Poppy remembered why. "Oh my SPARKLES! You have your first date with Holly tonight!" Informing everyone in the room. Biggie just nodded as the twins realized that that is why he has a fashion emergency. He wants to impress Holly. The girls were overly excited for their larger friend. "I'm happy for you Bigs." Smidge said smiling. "Yeah?" Biggie asked. "Yeah." She said, giving him a hug. "Ok. Biggie, we have the perfect thing for you to wear tonight." Satin started to say as Chenille went to look for the outfit that would best suit Biggie. "A purple sequins vest and matching color purple denim pants." Chenille finished for Satin. When they had gotten Biggie dressed it was time for his big date with Holly.
Biggie was extremely nervous about his date with Holly. Truth be told he has never been on a date before. He is usually busy taking care of Mr. Dinkles because he needs a lot of attention. But for the date Guy Diamond said he could take care of him so he would not have to worry. He grabbed a cactus because he did not want to come off too strong or intense and he knew that Holly loves cati. Once the time came to pick up Holly he went to her pod and waited for her. When she openned the door he was speechless. Holly's hair was done up big and curly so that it framed her face beautifully and her dress hugged her perfectly and was long enough to cover her hind legs. She had a white sundress and flowed around her legs and she nhad not hat on. "You look beautiful." Biggies stuttered out. Holly just blushed as he handed her the catus; she absolutely loved it and quickly went to put it on her kitchen table so she and Biggie could head off on their date. "Well Spruce and Brandy suggested we stop at their restaurant. It isn't open yet but they wanted to let us try out some of their dishes on us if that sounds alright." She said nervously. Biggie smiled at her nodding his head. It was better than what he had planned.
The family was watching all the kiddos while Spruce and Brandy were busy with the restaurant. Clay was in charge of the finances and as Spruce said there was not going to be any push back on that front. Ozzy and Delta were helping with the food so they had a good view to watch their daughter grow up and be happy. It meant the world that Holly and herself had been accepted into the family when she was first dating Ozzy and to see them do all of this for her daughter just warmed her heart.
Brandy sat Holly and Biggie down at the table and told them what will be served tonight. "We have three dishes for you to try, we didn't want to take up your whole evening but figured this would be a nice first stop. We have some Vacay Nachos to start off with, leading to a nice Minuto Soup, ending with a lovely dessert Molten Lava Cake a la Mode. But here is the house drink, a Lime Sorbet Shirley Temple. Enjoy." Brandy told them walking back to the kitchen. "That all actually sounds really good." Biggie said not knowing what to expect when Holly told him that thye would be trying out menu items. "I know. I didn't even know Spruce could make Minuto." Holly said to Biggie getting a better look at the restaurant. It looked amazing.
Before either of the two could continue their conversation there was a shout from the kitchen. "I'm the one making the Minuto." Brandy shouted, causing the two to chuckle. "That makes more sense." Holly said in response. The two drank their Fancy Shirley Temples and just talked as they waited for the first course. The two had gotten to know one another since the wedding whenthey had first met but they were learning things about one another that they hadn't known before. Like how Holly used to compete in rodeos when she was little and how Biggie and Smidge were in the same foster home after the Second Escape. Apparently Rosiepuff was not the only one to be taken early, she was just the last one to be taken. Smidge's parents and Biggie's moms were also taken and they had gone to live with Harper who was in her twenties at the time; until they were of age. But they had been so young they Smidge and Biggie do not remember the Troll Tree. Just that they were siblings.
Brandy finally brought out the first course. "I wonder what makes them Vacay?" Biggie wondered aloud, as the two tried the dish infront of them. "There is pineapple in the jalapeno salsa." Holly said, taken surprised for a second by the unexpected sweet heat. "And the cheese is made from coconut milk. Not bad." Biggie said enjoying the dish. "And it is on a shell, how cute." Holly said also enjoying the food infront of them. Next was Spruce bringing out the following course. "Ok you two you need to try Brandy's Minuto." He gushed about his wife's cooking. Biggie took a spoonful of the soup and nodded his head in agreement. "Tell her she did an excellent job and also the Nachos were delicious. Thank you Spruce." Holly told her brother. He just smiled back as he collected their dirty dishes. "Happy to be of service." It did not take them long to finish the soup and soon Holly's mother Delta was bringing out the single dessert for them to share which they were glad about because they were beginning to become full. The dessert was so yummy that they were playfully fighting over who got the last piece. Holly let Biggie have it. Once he finished the final bite he told Holly he had a surprise for her. She had no clue what he was going to do until he pulled out his ukulele and started to play.

He played his ukulalle and did his best to sing in a country style to Holly hoping she would like it. She was just giddy that Biggie was doing all of this for her. This was so sweet. It felt like they were the only two in the world. She was so focused on Biggie that she forgot that she was at her brother's place.

Spruce and Brandy watched with a smile on their faces. They had really hoped things would work out well. Holly has a big heart but she would often tend to not put herself first. Always helping the family, being there for them when they needed someone, and always trying to make things easier for everyone else but herself. So when the family saw that they could do something for her they took it.

Holly has never felt as happy as she did at that moment. Biggie was being a perfect gentleman treating her right and better than she ever thought she deserved. Things have been going well since they came back and joined the rest of the troll society, but it does not mean things haven't been hard. Since being here she has felt a little like she has been pushed to the background, but BIggie has never made her feel like that and what her family has done for her today. She has felt extremely special. Ozzy was just happy that Holly had found someone who treats her the way she deserves.

After the song Holly pulled Biggie into a sweet but chast kiss. He was then just walking with her to show her a surprise that he has been holding off on. "Ok. So you said that it was a little lonely being in a pod by yourself so I got you a little friend who could keep you company. Since you like critters like I do, figured you could help give this little pig critter a home." Biggie said, showing a little pig critter to Holly who was just over excited over this wonderful surprise. She was so eager to hold the little guy that Biggie was more than ready to hand them off to her. "Milton helped me pick out the perfect one for you from the vet's place." Biggie told her. "I think I will name you Pigtail. Oh thank you so much Biggie I love them." She told him while going in for a group hug.
Afterwards Biggie walked Holly back to her pod and said good night Pigtail seemed to have taken really well to her. When he walked to Guy and Snythx's pod to collect Mr. Dinkles the two asked him in to talk to him about how the night went. They have never seen Biggie fall in love before so seeing him with Holly made them really happy. Not too long after that Biggie headed home with Mr. Dinkles thinking back to his time with Holly and for the first time in a long time he did want more in his life than just Mr. Dinkles, Harper, and Smidge. He loved his foster sisters and his glow worm and for a long time he was content on just that but now maybe he could hope for more. He hoped that he could have more with Holly. Only time will tell.
Back at the bunker Branch, John, and Val had spent the entire day getting ready for the surprise wedding and Branch was starting to wonder something. "Mom. why don't you talk to Mr. and Mrs. Thunderstruck?" Knowing that they were his grandparents now that the secret was out. "Baby. My parents never really approved of a lot of things in my life. The music I liked to sing, the way I dress, that I fell in love with your father, but the final straw for them was me getting pregnant with you. They had kicked me out of our home and refused to speak to me when I tried to introduce them to you. I don't think I can ever forgive them for what they did. And not to mention they knew about you. About what happened to Rosiepuff, that you needed a family and did nothing all those years they lived in the same village as you. For twenty years they abandoned you. I can't forgive that." Val finished. Branch had not known just how poorly his mom had been treated by her own parents. He went up to hug her which John joined in. "I'm sorry for asking." Branch started to say before his mom with tears in her eyes stopped him. "No. You deserve to know about them. But as far as I know they are no longer family to us." Branch nodded at that before giving her another hug. Val was happy with the family she had now. She did not need her parents coming in and ruining what she had finally gotten back. Not if she could help it.
I am really happy with how this chapter went. With having so many characters it is hard to get everyone in and I felt like I haven't given Holly justice so I wanted to rectify that. Also just so you know if I ever eat a small portion on a date it is because I am a modern woman and try to help pay for part of the meal and even if I don't I don't want the price to break the bank. You know those places. But I think a girl should actually eat when she is on a date. So if anyone has a problem with that then boo you. I'm all about positive body image all the way and believe it or not that also includes eating with no food rules and enjoying what you eat. Love your body and yourself, because you all are beautiful just the way you are. So I am going to try to get the next few chapters done along with my one test for the rest of this week, next, and the following week. The week after that I will begin to write Chapter 42 which is going to be our longest one yet. It will probably take several days to write but it will be epic! I'm excited about it. I still need two song suggestions. Please let me know we are reaching the end. I am hoping to be done with the fanfic by the end of March; maybe April. Then I will be taking another break and if it does well I will be thinking of adding more chapters later on but I am running on steam and we are so close to the end. We just finished Chapter 35 and have five chapters before we reach Chapter 41 Please what song have I not done yet. Hope y'all have enjoyed reading and until the next time. Bye-bye.
