"At the Monastery Of Spinjitzu. Sensei Wu is meditating in his room, well trying to as the Ninja are heard in another room.
"Fire Strike! Oh, my gosh, is that the greatest move you've ever seen?"
"Stop trying to do it yourself. We need to attack as a team."
Opening his eyes, Wu stands up to move towards the courtyard, and opens the doors, only to find it empty.
"Zane, why are you wasting your special attack on me? You have to save it!"
Sensei Wu moves down the hallway and found the Ninja in the game room, in front of the TV as they play video games, and an open pizza box behind them.
"Fantastic, I'm out lives!"
"But the lesson lives on, and I am getting the hang of it. Hee-yah!"
"Ok, now!"
Suddenly the TV is unplugged and the Ninja complain.
"Aw."
"Aw man!" Cole whines.
"What?!" Jay cried. "What happened?"
"It took us three hours to get there!" Cole said.
"Why would you do that?" Jay asked Wu. "Why?"
"Just because Lord Garmadon escaped through a vortex doesn't mean he won't return one day for the Golden Weapons of Spinjitzu." Wu said sternly.
"But Sensei, ever since he's been gone, Ninjago has had nothing but peace." Zane said.
"Yeah, peace is boring." Jay said. "There's no one to save, there's nothing to do."
"'Nothing to do'?" Cole repeats, turning to him. "Didn't Cliff make you wash his car after he heard the news?" He asks. "He was pretty steamed."
"Ok. That's one thing. And one thing only!" Jay pouts. "Then he gave his maid the day off and made me do all the chores!" He complains. "I ended up with splinters! I had to vacuum, then got in a fight with the vacuum too! Washed the back deck and painted it, then I had to give the dog a bath! It took me two hours to finally get him cleaned!"
"At least it was something to do." Sensei said he held the plug to the TV.
Cole smirks. "And you came back to the Monastery smelling like a wet dog!" He stretches and lays backwards on his back. "We can train tomorrow."
"Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today." Wu told them as Cole picks up a slice of pizza.
"Well, I was gonna eat this pizza tomorrow, so if that's the case." He was about to eat it, but Wu kicks the slice out of his hand. "Ow!"
"No pizza for you! In order to reach your full potential, you must train."
"Uh, remember when we did a little thing called the Tornado Of Creation?" Kai reminds. "I thought that was pretty insane."
"Oh." Wu said with a sigh. "You four have merely scratched the surface of your full potential. There are still so many secrets you have yet to unlock. You haven't even begun to tap into what powers your golden weapons hold."
Cole picks up his scythe. "You wanna talk secret powers? Check this out." He uses his weapon to plug the TV back into the wall.
Sensei Wu pulls on his beard in frustration as the Ninja resume their video game.
"Do not worry Sensei." Zane said. "We will be ready when Lord Garmadon returns."
Suddenly Nya comes running in, panting. "Lord Garmadon's returned! He was spotted approaching Jamanakai Village!"
The Ninja move about in a panic, literally bumping into each other as they run around the room to grab their weapons or tripping over the controllers to their game.

The Ninja rush to the dragons. Cole leaps onto his dragon, but the Scythe Of Quakes falls to the ground. Jay tries to leap on his dragon, but bounces off his dragon's head and face plants. Sensei Wu sighs in disappointment.
"Uh, can I help?" Nya asked as Kai latches his bag onto his dragon's reins, before jumping up.
"Sorry, sis, where we go, danger abounds. This is a job for the Ninja." He leans forward, but can't reach the reins. "Uh … uh, a little help? Heh, heh."
Shaking her head, Nya gives him the reins.
"Will they ever reach their full potential?" Nya asks as the Ninja head out with their dragons.
"In time. Maybe a long time, but in time."

"Just like old times, eh, Rocky?" Cole asked as the Ninja are flying to Jamanakai Village.
"You guys believe what Sensei said about unlocking our full potential?" Kai asks.
"He may be onto something." Jay said, holding his nunchucks. "I mean since we got these golden weapons, it's not like we ever had to use them. I wonder what they do."
"I, for one, look forward to the future." Zane said. "If there is more for us to accomplish, let it be."
"Don't know about you, but is anyone else a little excited about battling Lord Garmadon?" Cole asked. "I've been looking forward to trying out some new Spinjitzu moves. Could be the perfect opportunity."
The Ninja make it towards Jamanakai Village. "Ha ha! Race ya!" Jay exclaimed.
The Ninja do just that, speeding through the sky and approaching the village, then nose diving.
"Ha ha!" Kai cheers, throwing his arms in the air. "I was first!"
Jay got in front of him. " No! No one was faster than me!"
"Ha-ha-ha! My feet were down before yours!" Cole exclaimed.
"You were all disillusioned! It was clearly me!" Zane said, just before the four heard screaming, the turn towards the village. The Ninja run into the village as the citizens run around in terror and hide. Seeing a large shadow, the Ninja pull out their weapons as they prepare themselves.
"Stay sharp boys." Kai warns as Lord Garmadon's evil laughter is heard. "Whatever happens, never let your guard down."
But suddenly it turns out to be a young boy no older then 9, coming around a water fountain and wearing a black cloak. "It is I, Lloyd Garmadon!" He announces, then jumps up onto the fountain. "I demand all the candy in town, or else!"
"Lloyd Garmadon?" Jay asked as the Ninja put their weapons away. "I thought we were gonna face Lord Garmadon."
"It's Sensei's bratty nephew." Cole said. "Looks like he escaped the boarding school for bad boys again." He said as the villagers come out of their homes when they realize there's no threat. "And to think we could've been doing Spinjitzu already." He starts forwards, the others behind him.
"Er … er … gimmie your candy or I'll release the Serpentine on you!" Lloyd threatens as the Ninja walk up to him. Lloyd opens a can and fake snakes pop out. The villagers throw vegetables at the boy. "No, I want candy!" Lloyd cried as he started to loose balance. "I hate vegetables!" He falls down.
"He's gonna have to do a lot better than use an old bedtime story to scare people." Kai said, picking up a fake snake, then used it like a sling shot.
"The Serpentine are real, Kai." Zane said. "They're not something to joke about."
"Serpentine? Real? We're talking about the ancient race of snake people who once ruled Ninjago and were supposedly locked underground." Kai replied.
Jay whimpers. "Sealed in five different tombs to separate the warring tribes and ensure they don't unify to exact their revenge upon those who put them there."
"It was an old wive's tale to teach kids not to poke their noses where they don't belong." Kai argued. "Don't you think it's a little suspicious no one's ever found one of their tombs?"
"Well that's because you'd be a fool to look for one." Cole states as they move towards Lloyd. "If there was anything I hated more than dragons, it was snakes. Rubber or not." The Ninja each grab Lloyd.
"Unhand me!" Lloyd yells as he struggles. "I'm going to tell my uncle on you!"
"Don't worry folks!" Cole calls out. "We'll take care of this. Nothing to see here."
They start walking away with Lloyd. "Bow down to me or suffer my wrath! I'll give you to the count of three! One! Two!"
"What are we supposed to do?" Kai asked. "Spank him?"
"Two and a half!" Lloyd threatens.

The Ninja jump onto a building, still holding a struggling Lloyd. "Stop squirming, you runt!" Kai said.
"I'm telling my uncle on all of you!" Lloyd yells.
"Do tell." Cole said sarcastically. Lloyd soon grunts as the Ninja move him and he's now being hanged by his cloak on a sign.
"YOU MAKE MADE ME YOUR NEMESIS!" Lloyd screams as he flails about wildly. "MARK MY WORDS, YOU'LL PAY FOR THIS!"
Everyone laughs, and Zane moves to buy candy for him and his team.
"Next time, try paying for your candy." Cole told Lloyd.
"Crime doesn't pay, muchacho." Kai added. "You can take that to the bank."
"Mmm." Jay taunts Lloyd, tasting the candy in his hand. "Cotton candy."
Lloyd screams in rage as he still flails his arms and legs as he's still hung on the sign.

The Ninja return to their dragons. Kai leaps on his dragon, his foot hitting his bag causing a scroll to drop out, he leaps back down to pick it up. "Huh? I don't remember putting this here."
"That's Sensei's bag. You must've accidentally taken it in the rush." Zane said as Kai unrolls the scroll as Jay walks up.
"It's a scroll, windbag." Kai said.
"I know it's a scroll." Jay said as he and Zane come to crowd Kai as they look at it. "But what does it say? It's written in chicken scratch."
"Not chicken scratch. The ancient language of our ancestors." Zane replied.
"Uh, can you read it?" Kai asked him.
"Well, I can try." Zane points. "This symbol means 'prophecy'."
"Prophecy?" Jay asked confused.
"It means to tell the future." Kai clarifies.
"Of course. Ha ha. I knew that."
"Sure you did, bird brain." Kai said with a roll of his eyes.
Zane continued to read the scroll. "'One ninja will rise above the others and becomes the Green Ninja, the Ninja destined to defeat the Dark Lord.'"
Jay gasps. "Oh, look, a picture!"
"Dark Lord?" Kai asks. "Hold on … you think they mean Lord Garmadon?" He pauses as he studies the picture. "Wait a minute! Is that us? Is anyone else thinking what I'm thinking?"
"Like how good I'm gonna look in green? Ha." Jay states.
"Isn't it obvious I'm gonna be the Green Ninja?" Kai glares at him.
"The color obviously suits me!" Jay retorts.
"Technically, I am the best." Zane got into the argument.
Suddenly Cole jumps down in front of the three. "Everyone, stop it! Remember why Sensei brought us together in the first place. We're a team." He took the scroll from Kai. "We weren't meant to see this and probably for good reason. Come on, let's head back home. We have training to do."
The Ninja each reach for their respective dragon.
"It's about time I added some finesse to my routine." Jay said, jumping onto his dragon and taking off.
Zane jumps onto his own. "Well, I could use some exercise." He said and took off after Jay.
"Yeah. I gotta work on some new moves." Cole agreed and took off.
Kai stayed behind. "Could I be the Green Ninja?"

Soon the Ninja return home.
"So then we all agree." Jay said as they walk up the flight of stairs. "The prophecy states that one of us will become the Green Ninja and the issue will not rest until it is decided."
"May I suggest a tournament? Last ninja standing is the best." Zane suggests.
"And will be declared the Green Ninja!" Kai said. "I love it!"
Jay push open the gates and the Ninja are surprised to see Nya using the training course. Until she gets knocked down.
Jay shyly laughs as he walks up to her. "Hey, Nya. Closer to beating your brother's speed record?" He asked.
She rubs her head. "I'm getting there." He helps her stand. "Heard what happened in town." She turns to Kai. "Just a false alarm?"
"Yeah. Uh, but we're gonna need the space. Sorry sis." Kai said as he presses the button and the training course goes back underground.
Cole walks up to a cabinet and opens it, pulling out helmets, and tossing one. One of the helmets smacks Jay in the back of his head. "Two matches. Then the winners of each face off for the title. Armors for our own protection." He pulls out his Scythe. " It's time to see what these babies can do." He holds up his weapon.
Kai places his helmet on, followed by the armor. "Hey Nya." He turns to her. "Wanna stay and watch me mop the floor with them?"
"No, thanks. I think I'll just visit Jamanakai Village. Knock yourselves out." She declines before heading for the gates. Kai frowns turning to her fully.
"You're 13! You're not going anywhere alone."
"Didn't you hear? Oh no, you were too busy with your head plugged in." Nya said as she folds her arms. "Rose is here, I'll be with her."
"Rose!?" Kai gasped, dropping his sword with surprise.
Jay slinks up behind Kai. "Who's Rose?"
"Kai's ex." Nya answered as she left. "I'm meeting her in the village." She said as she leaves. "By guys!" The gates close behind her.
"We didn't last long." Kai added. "And I see the wheels in your head turning, motormouth!"
Jay blinked. "But I didn't say anything."
"That usually means your working your annoying brain to annoy us somehow." Cole replied.

In Jamanakai Village, Nya and a teen with long light brown hair dressed in pink.
"So Kai is here?" Rose, Kai's ex girlfriend - asks as the girls walk through the village. "And he's now the red Ninja?"
"Right." Nya nods. "It's good to see you, we haven't seen you since your break up."
"Yeah. If your brother wasn't so pig headed, then maybe he and I would still be together." She shrugs. "Who's to say really?"
Suddenly the citizens start screaming and fleeing into the safety of their homes.
"What now?" Nya, the two turn to see Lloyd pushing a wheelbarrow full of candy.
"Take the candy!" He orders. "Take it all!" He laughs evilly.
"It's just a brat." Rose said with a frown, Nya grabs her wrist and pulls her away. "The Serpentine!" She gasps.
"Shh!" Nya shushed, as they hurry to hide. "That's not just any brat. That's Lord Garmadon's son! And Kai's Sensei's nephew!"
Rose's eyes grow. "What?" She lets Nya pull her along. "I've heard of family disputes. This one takes the cake!"

The Ninja arrive back at Jamanakai Village, seeing the citizens still running away in fear. They set their sights on Lloyd, who was twitching and jumping all over the place. "I'm never coming down from this sugar ride!" He cheers. "Woo-hoo!" Suddenly the Ninja leap in front of him.
"Sorry to bust your buzz, little Garmadon." Cole said.
"But it's already past your bedtime." Jay added.
Lloyd turns. "Get them!" He orders.
The Ninja stare, surprised and stunned to see the Serpentine.
"Seize them!"
"The Serpentine?" A shocked Kai gasped. "They're real!?"
Soon both the Serpentine and the hypnotized citizens start to surround the Ninja.
"It's not just them we have to worry about." Cole said with worry when he sees the villagers. "The whole village has been hypnotized!"
Jay pulls out his nunchucks starting to use them.
"No!" Zane grabs his wrist and lowers his arm. "Our weapons are too unstable. We can do more harm than good."
"I guess that leaves us with RUN!"
The Ninja leap away. They jump on roofs, leap on awnings and flipping in the air, landing on the ground, before hurrying to hide behind a wall with a cart full of hey.
Suddenly Nya and Rose land near them, scaring Jay for a few minutes.
"Huh, Nya. You're ok."
"Barely."
"Rose." Kai pulls off his hood, while looking at her. "You're here!"
She walked right up to him, and slapped him. Surprising his friends. Kai calmly rubbed his sore cheek.
"I deserved that." He said.
Jay leans to Cole. "I don't think the break up was mutual."
"The whole village is hypnotized!" Nya exclaimed.
"Mind control." Jay said, he turns to Kai. "How is this possible?"
"When you hear them rattle their tails, don't look them in the eyes." Rose answered. "That's how they get you."
"Well, what are we supposed to do?" Jay throws his arms out. "We can't use our weapons, and now we gotta fight with our eyes closed? Ha, perfect."
"The snake with the staff is the General. He's the one in charge. If we can get the staff from him, it holds the anti-venom. If we get that, we can save everyone." Nya added.
"Look guys." Kai said, pulling his hood back on. "Forget about the whole Green Ninja thing. Let's make Sensei proud. The four of us. We're a team."
"Now you're talking." Cole said.

The Ninja head back to the village. Kai coming up to a group of Serpentine.
"You wanna play? How about a little Spinjitzu? Ninja, go!" He does Spinjitzu, only to lose control and crash into a wall and falling back onto his back.
On a roof, Jay had been watching. "Ok, we're really out of shape."
Not that far away, Lloyd is trying to run away with the wheelbarrow full of candy. "Ha! Consider this a warning, Ninja!" He laughs as he runs. Suddenly he hits ice and the wheelbarrow topples over, spilling the candy everywhere as Lloyd falls to the ground. "My candy!"
"Ninja go!" Zane calls, using Spinjitzu to get in front of Lloyd. "Sensei was right. Never put off until tomorrow what can be done today. We should've dealt with you the first time around."
"Retreat!" Lloyd cries.
"Retreat!" The General Serpentine calls.
The Serpentine escape, suddenly Cole comes at the General with a flying side kick, knocking the staff out of the snake's hand and it goes flying.
The staff lands on the ground, and so does Cole.
"Go ahead." Cole challenges. "Give me a reason."
The General flees, Cole walks up and grabs the staff. Suddenly Skales hypnotizes him.
"Look into my eyes. I control you."
Cole starts to fall under the spell. "You control."
"Cole!" Nya calls. Rose comes up and hits Skales in the side of the head with a tree branch, knocking Skales back and Cole regains consciousness. "You have the anti-venom!" The sister of the fire Ninja continued.
The black Ninja shook his head to clear it, he looks at the staff in his hand. "By golly, you're right!"
"The fountain!" Rose exclaims.
"Good idea!" Cole runs towards the fountain and leaps onto it. Setting it down, a mist comes out of the fountain and moves about the village, curing the citizens.
Kai walks up to Wu. "We're sorry, Sensei. If we dealt with Lloyd before he became a problem, none of this would've been necessary."
"Even lessons learned the hard way are lessons learned. Mmm ... a great evil has been released. I fear troubling times will come. This is only the beginning."
"Then we will train and be ready for the Serpentine." Zane said as he, Cole, and Jay walk up.
"It may not be Lord Garmadon, but that doesn't mean we won't bring our A-game." Cole replied/
Kai places a hand on Wu's shoulder. "Help us train. Help us realize our potential."
"Yeah." Jay agreed. "Teach us the secrets behind the weapons of Spinjitzu."
"Hmm … there is much to teach." Sensei said. "We must return to the Monastery."
Nya turns to look over where Rose is, she walks over to the older teen. "Are you going to be ok?
"I am." Rose nods as Kai walks over to the girls. "My grandparents are ok now. But I'm heading back to Ninjago City soon."
"Rose." Kai started, then hesitated. "I, um, I mean." He trails off. The other Ninja walk up behind Kai.
"Sensei Wu this is Rose McGee, Kai's ex girlfriend." Nya introduced.
"Hello." He greets.
"Hi."
"This is Jay Walker, Cole Brookestone, and Zane Julien." Nya introduces.
"So, you're Kai's ex, huh?" Jay starts, moving forward, until Cole grabs the back of his collar and yanks him back making him yelp.
"Don't pay attention to the motormouth. It's just that Kai hasn't mentioned you before." Cole told her.
"It's a long story." Rose told them, smiling at Cole.
"Can we please go back home?" Kai asked, irritated and annoyed. "A long story that we don't have time for!"

I thought giving Kai an ex would be fun. And it was. BUT I am a Kai/Skylor fan! Jay's parents reaction towards his arrest will be in a flashback.
