Inside the Destiny's Bounty, the snoring rhythm of Cole is heard throughout the Destiny's Bounty, all four Ninja are fast asleep, until a gong is heard - cutting through Cole's snores and the sleep of everyone else.

The door of the boy's quarters opens to reveal Sensei Wu banging a gong. "Evil doesn't sleep and neither should you!"

The Ninja groan. Kai places a second pillow over his head, Zane pulls his blanket over his head, Jay rolls over to face the wall, and Cole moves his hands over of his ears.

"In order to reach your full potential, we must greet each day as an opportunity." Sensei continued as he continued to bang the gong.

"Ok, ok." Kai caves, sitting up and pushing his blanket off him, then jumps down from the top bunk. "Were up. But if you want us to reach full potential, shouldn't we at least get a full night's sleep?" He yawns and stretches, before he opens the blinds, only for them to break off and fall to the floor.

"You call that sleep?" Cole asked as he cracked his back. "I think my back has more lumps than the mattress."

"We were up so late, talking about how cool it is to have a new headquarters, I guess we lost track of time." Jay said as he moves to the bathroom, putting toothpaste on his toothbrush. "Since the Serpentine burned down the monastery, I'm just glad we have a roof over our heads." He never notices sand coming out of the faucet instead of water before he puts his toothbrush in his mouth, then spits the sand out rapidly.

"What is our lesson today, Sensei?" Zane asked as he does some stretches. "Mastering the Strike of the Scorpion? Or perhaps the grace of." He doesn't get to finish as the floor under caves in and he falls through, coughing from the dust.

Wu gets an idea from all the broken things. "I think today's lesson would be chores."

"Chores!?" The Ninja cried in shock.

"Ninja fight, Sensei! They do not clean." Cole replied.

"In order to respect ourselves, we must respect our new home and where we are from. And this place is a long way from becoming a Ninja headquarters." He moves to the door. "I expect things to be spotless when I return." He turns around to face them again. "And put your backs into it!" He bangs his gong a few more times before leaving.

"This place is gonna take forever to clean and fix up." Kai grumbled.

"We gotta get motivated!" Jay soon gets an idea, and a mischief look spreads on his face. "Kai, Rose sure is hot! How'd you find her?"

"Don't." Kai angrily turns to him. "Touch." His hands flame up. "Her." He grabs the front of Jay's blue shirt.

"But Kai." Zane as Cole pulls him out of the floor. "We are all curious on how you two met."

Kai pushes Jay away, Jay quickly moves to hide behind Cole.

"I'm sure you've already asked Nya." Kai starts. "Both Rose's dad and mine were Blacksmiths. That was the only thing we really had in common." He turns, doing Spinjitzu, coming out he's in his Ninja gi. He moves to sit on Zane's bed, looking down at the floor. "We did what all couples do. Jack, her dad started to tease us that we were getting pretty serious."

"But, you weren't?" Jay asked.

Kai shook his head. "No. I didn't need serious. Rose started to accuse me of not caring when the bills for my dad's business started rocket and I ended up more focused on keeping our Blacksmith shop from going belly up and of course not loose Nya."

"What happened?" Cole asked. "It's obvious your break up was not mutual."

"It wasn't. I broke up with Rose, she threw a bowl at me." The red Ninja sighed heavily, he lifted his head to look at his friends. "Now here we are." He stands up. "A year later."

"Soo." Jay let the word linger for a moment. "You're over her, right?" He asked. "I mean, really over her?"

"Jay!" Cole glared at him.

"Come on Cole! You know as much as I do that she's smoken hot!"

"Kai's standing right here, you bolt head." Cole said, then added. "Ok! She is a looker!"

"Then why don't one of you bozos ask her out!?" Kai demanded. "There's no flame left!" With that he stalked out out the room

"Hmm." Jay hummed. "Hey Cole. First one done with chores gets to ask Rose out!" He challenges.

"I donno Jay." Cole frowned. "Sometimes a flame can rekindle if you haven't seen your ex for sometime."

"Then it's settled!" Jay smiles, folding his arms. "I win by default."

"Hey, wait a minute Zaptrap! I never said I would take the challenge!"

"Hold on you two." Zane said with a frown. "Rose is a very nice girl. She is not to be treated as a prize to be won."

Cole and Jay look at him, then look at each other.

"Well?" Jay asked, holding his hand out to Cole.

"You're on!" Cole grabbed his hand.

"Oh dear." Zane frowns. "This is not going to go well." He said with worry.

The Ninja soon started to clean, using their Ninja skills, but it still took all day.

Finally Sensei Wu walked in, followed by Rose. Finding the boys playing a video game.

"What took you so long?" Kai asked lazily.

"Wow!" Rose smiled with amazement as she looks around. "The Destiny's Bounty looks new."

Kai frowns when both Jay and Cole bounce around him to get in front of Rose.

"Ninja don't just fight." Cole smiles. "We clean."

"Oh, you have exceeded my expectations." Wu said, stroking his beard as a car horn is heard in the distance. "But can you keep it up?"

Rose turns to the window to see two cars driving towards the Bounty. "Anyone expecting visitors?" She asks. "That car outside sounds pretty loud."

Jay groans, his shoulders slouching. "Ugh … it's my parents." He starts to ramble. "Please, if they start yapping, just don't let them going, okay? They don't know when to quit. And if you start talking, then they'll start talking. And suddenly, half the day is gone before you know it ends."-

"We get it!" Kai cuts in. "They talk a lot!" He turns to Cole. "The cherry doesn't fall far from its blossom."

The Ninja move to outside to meet their visitors. Cliff Gorden climbs out of his nice fancy car.

"Jason Eugene Gorden!" He firmly said.

Jay yelped and quickly hid behind Cole, the blue Ninja then pokes his head out from around his best friend's shoulder. "H, h, h, h, hi dad." Jay stutters in greating.

"Would you care to explain why Dan showed me a news video of you, getting arrested!?" Cliff demanded as he Ed and Edna Walker walk up to him. "You were caught gliding through the city with a hang glider!"

"Sorry dad." Jay apologized.

"That was months ago, Jay!" Kai turns to him.

"Dan?" Rose asked.

"My lawyer." Cliff answered, calmly to her.

"Ohh, Jay!" Edna gasped. "Did they give you a blanket? Pillows?" She asks with a fuss. "Did you eat your vegetables?"

"Ma." Jay starts to blush.

"And what about underwear?" Edna questioned. "You do have a habit of."-

"Ma!" Jay cried, pouncing from behind Cole to stand next to him.

"Did they bully you?" Edna asked, moving over to him and taking his face. "Did they feed you properly?" She fused over him.

"Ma!" Jay pulls away from her. "I'm fine, as you can see."

"Who bailed you out?" Cliff asked.

"It was I who bailed him out." Sensei answered.

"How much was it? I'll make sure my lawyer."-

"Do not worry about it." Sensei told him. "Jay is a valuable asset of the Ninja, and he uses his tinkering skills to build the Ninja their arsenal."

Jay smiled innocently as he rapidly bobs his head.

"But it's been so long since we heard from you!" Edna said as she hugged Jay.

"Ma, I called you two days ago."

Ed laughs. "Oh, well … it's not soon enough, son. When are you coming out to the junkyard? You say you are coming an … an … and you don't."

Jay quickly feels embarrassed. "Do we have to talk about the junkyard in front of my friends?"

"He hates it when we talk about the junkyard in front of people." Edna said, then squealed when she saw Rose. "Oh!" She quickly comes up to Rose and looks her over. "And who are you? " She gasps. "You are so cute! You are just my son's type."

"Mom!" Jay cried.

"It's a pleasure meeting you." Rose greets. "I'm Rose McGee. 'm sure if you want, Jay can give you a tour. He worked very hard on it."

"We'd love a tour!" Ed and Edna cheerfully called out.

Jay sighed, putting a hand on his head.

Cliff walked up to Rose. "It's a pleasure to meet you Rose." He smiled at her. "I am Cliff Gorden, Jay's biological father."

She continued to smile. "It's so nice to meet all three of Jay's parents. And Jay can blame my Aunt Gayle for videoing Jay's stunt."

Jay is finishing up the tour of the Destiny's Bounty. "And this the bridge. This extends into a periscope. This tells what's going on in Ninjago. And this ... if a Serpentine's not giving us the answer we want, and we're late up night."-

"A neuro apparatus to read their minds?" Edna cuts in.

"An audio appliance to make them talk?" Ed added.

"No, a cappuccino machine." Jay makes a cup, and gives it to Rose.

"Haha. Amazing, son! We're so proud of you." Ed smiled.

"Why don't you tell them about the button?" Cole asked as he stood by the large computer. Jay walks over to him, laughing nervously.

"It's not ready yet." He said, jabbing Cole in the arm with his elbow.

"Oh, what's the button?" Edna asked with excitement.

"He's working on a special defense system." Zane told them.

"Something every Ninja headquarters needs." Kai added.

"Intriguing." Cliff said with interest.

"What does it do?" Ed asked, moving to look at the podium, bending down to look at it. "Can I help?"

Jay quickly got defensive. "No, it's ok. I don't need your help, dad." He pats the podium. "Let's just leave it alone." He looks at his wrist. "Hey, look at the time. Don't you need to get back before it gets dark? " He ushers his parents out. "I told you, there's dangerous Serpentine out there."

Ed and Edna both look disappointed. "Uh, I suppose we could get back."

"Edna." Cole said as he walked up to Jay's side. "It was a pleasure hearing about Jay's first potty time."

"Oh, if you thought that was good, wait until you hear the story about the time I caught him kissing his pillow!"

"Ma!" Jay cried, his face going red with embarrassment.

"Oh, I caught him slow dancing with an inflatable woman." Cliff added.

"Agh!" Jay cried, pulling on his hood and shoving it over his eyes. "Parents finds that adorable, while first dad uses it as ammunition!"

"Oh honey, we only."-

"Snakes, Ma." Jay reminds. "Snakes!"

"Ok, we're going, we're going."

The Ninja follow Jay's parents out and back outside.

"So you promise to come to the junkyard to visit us?" Edna questioned.

"Yes, I promise! But only if you leave." Jay said impatiently. "I don't want you to get hurt. It's getting dark." He said as Ed starts his car. "Uh, your headlights are working, right?"

Ed turns on the headlights, making everyone flinch and shield their eyes. "Heh, like em? I used a little extra juice." He turns them off. "Bye son. I couldn't be more proud."

"And bring Rose with you, will ya?" Edna added. "I can see why you like her."

"Moom!" Jay cried.

The car soon leaves. You should visit more often son." Cliff said as he too moves to his own car.

Jay sighed. "Dad, I'm sorry about the glider ok? I just don't want to take lessons from Marshall anymore, he's a know it all and likes to brag about it!"

"We'll talk more about that later, son." Cliff told him. "Oh, before I forget, the producers about that sitcom you were in. They loved you! And want you back."

"Uhh." Jay rubbed the back of his head. "Maybe when I'm not so busy with being a Ninja."

Cliff climbs into his car. "Just let me know." With that he soon leaves.

Wu turns to Jay. "Now that they have left, perhaps Jay can teach us The Art of … Kissing Pillows." He snickers.

"Argh!" Jay cried as his friends laugh as they enter the Bounty.

It was now close to dark. Wisp lands gracefully in the back yard of a home.

"Thanks for the ride home Jay." Rose smiled as Wisp hunkers down and she slides down his wing.

"Anytime." He smiles at her, but she frowns.

"Weren't you a little mean to your parents?"

Jay's smiles quickly disappears. "They're embarrassing! I know they don't mean to, but they still act like I'm still a kid."

"They care deeply for you, Jay." Rose told him. "Anyway, thanks for the ride home. I'll see you later."

Jay waits and watches as she goes into her house from the back door. "Come on Wisp." He pats his dragon. "Let's go home."

The dragon lifts up and takes off into the sky.

At the Cemetery Of Souls. Lloyd shivered as he holds his map and nervously looks around. "It's not so scary." He tried to be brave. "Um, maybe just a little, but I like scary. Yeah, that's it. My dad's the scariest one of them all! He's the Dark Lord. I love the dark. I eat this stuff for breakfast." He turns to see a scary statue that his flashlight hit, causing him to scream in fright. After a moment, he goes back to his map. "I'm gonna make those Hypnobrai pay for betraying me. I have to find the Fangpyres. If there's anything a snake doesn't like, it's another snake. Here, by the mutated tree. I found it!" He starts to brush off the dust. "Soon, the Serpentine will know who their master is, and it will be I, Lloyd Garmadon!" He laughs evilly as lightning crackles behind him. "Ahhhh!" He screamed in fright, he presses a button to open the tomb, then screams some more as the Fangprye emerges.

"And who."

"May I say released us."

"From our captivity?"

"Uh, Lloyd." Lloyd trembled as he looks around as he's surrounded. "I released you to make the Hypnobrai pay for betraying me."

"The Hypnobrai?!"

"Those hypnotizing deceivers!"

"It'll be."

"Our pleasure."

"Oh, good. I'll lead the way." Lloyd said as he held the map. "Then after that, there's some Ninja I want dealt with."

"Sounds like."

"You know."

"What you want."

"But the Hypnobrai are strong."

"And we are few in numbers."

"We need."

"Reinforcements!"

"What did you have in mind?" Lloyd asked.

The snake general hisses.

The following morning, Jay continued to work on his super special button.

"Sure got a lot of junk piling up." Kai said as he and Zane walk passed him as they hold some junk. "If only there was a place we could get rid of it."

"If you don't mind, I'm trying to focus." Jay said, trying to work.

Cole passes by, holding his cellphone to his ear. "Hi mom and dad. Of course, I'd love to visit. What kind of son would I be if I didn't want to?"

"Heheheheh." Jay stood up. "I know what you're trying to do!" His friends look at him. Kai holding a tin bucket with some inside, Zane holding a broken chair, and Cole holding his cellphone. "Ok, look, I might have promised to visit my parents, but there's a lot of stuff on my plate."

Nya walks into the bridge, Jay wipes the grease and oil off his face but only smerded it more. "Hi Nya."

"You gonna visit your parents today?" She asked.

"Uh, sure am!" He decides. "Just about to leave."

"Tell them Rose said hi." With that Nya leaves, the other Ninja turn to give Jay a look.

"What? So my plate's not that full."

Once outside, Jay tries to tug on his dragon's reins, but the dragon wouldn't budge. "Come on, Wisp! It'll be a quick visit. Just in and out, nothing more."

"Hm, it is as I suspected." Sensei said as he walked up while holding a temperature gage, and Jay drops the reins. "The dragons are molting. They're shedding their scales."

"What does that mean?"

"Every adolescent dragon goes through a transformation before it becomes an adult. We must allow them to migrate east to the Spirit Coves for their transformation."

"Will we see them again?"

"It's hard to say." Wu answered as the other Ninja walk up to their respective dragon. "But we need to allow them to follow their path."

"Rocky's going east?" Cole asked, coming up to his dragon. "Say it isn't so, Rocky." He said sadly as he pets him. Next to him Zane pets his own dragon.

"Well, I guess I gotta go on this long walk all by myself. Sure be nice to have company." Jay suggests.

"Of course we'll go, buddy!" Kai said cheerfully.

"I could use a break." Cole added as he and Zane walk up.

"All you had to do was ask."

Jay sighs in annoyance.

As the dragons fly off through the sky, the Ninja walk along the road, Sensei playing the Sacred Flute while they walk.

"Of all the days to lose our ride." Jay said while sighing.

Zane looks at the flute. "That flute. You've never told us why it's so special."

"Long ago there were many flutes, created to combat the powers of the Serpentine and drive them underground. But over time, Ninjago's forgotten its ancestors' wisdom, and now this is the only one." Wu plays the flute towards Jay.

"I get the lesson: respect your elders or else suffer the consequences." He starts to move forward as the junkyard is just up ahead. "Boy, you guys are laying it on thick." He stops in his tracks as stares at the junkyard.

"What is it?" Nya asked.

"It's quiet." Jay pulls on his hood. "My family's never quiet!" He runs into the junkyard, the other Ninja are quick behind him.

Hearing muffled grunts and a large locked fridge, Jay kicks it unlocked and it opens. Revealing Ed and Edna chained up with duck tape over their mouths.

"What happened?" Jay asked, he pulls them out of the fridge.

"This is gonna hurt Edna." Cole warns as he slowly started to remove the tape and she winces.

Jay's parents let out yells when Cole and Kai peel off the tape.

"Who did this?" Jay asked.

"Sweetheart, you came!" Edna said cheerfully.

"Oh, you gotta get out of here. You shouldn't have come, it's the ssssnakes!"

Wu gasps. "The bite of the Fangpyre! Once they sink their teeth, their venom can turn anything into a serpent. It's only a matter of time before the full transformation is complete."

The Fangpyres soon hiss and a wrecking ball has a face. The Ninja soon drop into a fighting stance.

"Uh, is that wrecking ball staring at me?" Cole asks as he hold his Scythe. The wrecking ball soon swings at them.

"Duck!" Jay yells and the Ninja scatter, and Jay tackles his parents just in time for the wrecking ball to smash into the large fridge.

"Lloyd!" Wu yells, looking up at a mountain of junk.

"Hello, uncle. Looks like we're not the only family reunion. I'm glad you brought the Ninja. I could use some help taking out the trash. Muahaha!"

"To turn your parents back to normal, we need the antivenom in the staff." Nya told Jay.

"Second dose, to the dirt!" Cole yells, tackling Nya as the Ninja and Jay's parents dodge the wrecking ball.

As the combination smoke and dirt clear, the Ninja stand back up. "Easier said than done, sis." Kai said. "We're a bit outnumbered." He pulls out his sword.

Jay holds up his nunchucks. "Nobody messes with my family." He rushes at the Serpentine, leaps in the air and drops down with his weapon, knocking back some snakes. "Ninja, go!" He goes into Spinjitzu for an added boost, comes out and ends up sliding back to avoid the wrecking ball. The wrecking ball then gets caught in one of the junk piles.

"Ninja, go!" The others call, using Spinjitzu on he Serpentine.

A group of Fangpyres hiss as they approach Sensei. He plays his flute, making them wince in pain and cover their ears. Nya soon takes them out.

"I don't know, Sensei. I think we make a pretty good duet." She said with pride after knocking out the group.

Lloyd music is soon heard and everyone turns to see Lloyd, with a foot on a Fangpyre bitten boombox.

Sensei Wu points the flute towards Lloyd. "Young nephew, must I teach you whose side you should be on?"

Lloyd simply turns up the volume. "Sorry, uncle! Can't hear you!"

A Fangpyre comes up behind Wu, before the snake is hit in the head by a frying pan, knocking it out.

"Yeah, way to go, Edna!" Ed cheers as Edna holds a frying pan.

"Ninja, go!" The Ninja use Spinjitzu to chase a group of Serpentine around a corner, only to come out of Spinjitzu as the music dies as a Fangpyre Robot shakes the ground before appearing.

"Ah! What is that thing?" Jay asked as the Ninja lower their weapons while staring up at the robot.

"It was supposed to be in your honor, son." Ed answered. "But do you like it?

The robot stares down at the Ninja. "Thanks, but no thanks." Jay said, soon the Ninja run away, the wrecking ball turns to look at Cole.

"Whoa!"

The wrecking ball swings down, the Ninja jump out of the way. "Uh, wasn't there four of us?" Kai asked as he, Cole and Zane stood together.

Jay clings to the wrecking ball, before backflipping and land on the crane, and kicking the Fangpyre out of the cockpit. He pauses as the controls stare up at him. "Let's see if I can work this." He moves handle.

Jay moves the crane around, and sends the wrecking ball into the giant robot, who attacked Cole, saving him.

"Phew." Cole breathed when the Robot goes flying and crashes into a mountain of tires.

"Retreat!" Lloyd yells before he and Fantom escape on a Rattlecopter.

"He's getting away with the staff!" Nya cried.

Jay sighs. "Right now would be a good time to have those dragons."

Ed and Edna come up to him, looking more transformed. "It'ssss okay, sssson."

"There is still a way." Wu said.

"How?" Jay asked.

"Part of reaching your own full potential is understanding your weapon's potential. Once it is in tune with a focused heart, its secrets and powers can be unlocked."

"Oh, this is not the time to be cryptic."

"He's saying our weapons are vehicles themselves." Zane revealed.

Kai looks at his sword. "Don't tell me I have to ride this thing like a broomstick."

"Jay, concentrate on unlocking your Golden Weapon. Let your heart guide you. Imagine you're taking flight."

Each of the Ninja use their weapons to create a vehicle. The four instantly chase after Lloyd with Jay cheer.

Nya turns to Wu. "Does your flute turn into anything?"

Sensei looks at his flute. "I wish." He looks around. "But there still is a way to catch them."

"How?"

Sensei moves his arms and power comes out of his hands, before a dragon appears.

"Whoa!" Nya, Ed and Edna gasp and watch as Sensei jumps onto his dragon.

"Let's go!"

They reach the Ninja, watching as Jay is holding the staff as he's falling out of the sky, and the other Ninja are in a tangled heap in the sand.

Sensei's dragon swoops down, catching Jay.

"Phew." Jay breathed in a daze. "Nice catch, Sensei."

"Everyone!"

"Attack!"

Sensei's dragon lowers down to the ground, as Kai leaps for his sword and tries to create his vehicle.

"Huh? Why isn't this thing working?

"Your weapon is merely an extension of your mind. If your mind is immobile, so is your weapon." Sensei told him.

"Oh, boy. Oh, gosh. Oh, golly, oh, duh." Ed said with worry. "Hop on boys!"

Cole, Zane and Kai leap onto Sensei Wu's dragon.

"We have to get back to headquarters!" Jay exclaimed.

The Ninja soon arrive at the Destiny's Bounty, Nya turns to Jay's parents as she holds the staff.

"Come with me. Once we reverse the venom, you'll be back to human." She leads them down below.

The Ninja and Sensei rush into the bridge. "Man the stations, everyone!" Jay orders, rushing up to his special button.

Kai runs up to a window. "Jay, we better hurry!"

"I've been waiting for this moment." Jay presses the button, but nothing happens.

"They're gaining on us!" Kai yelled.

"Ugh, I don't get what's wrong!" Jay hits the panel. "I spent forever on this. It's supposed to work!"

A cured Ed walked up to him. "Uh, son? Maybe I can help?"

Jay gasps. "Dad! You're ok!"

"You're darn tooting. Oh, let's have a look." Ed bends down to work on some wiring. "Oh, yeah. Uh-huh. Oh, that should do it." He stands up and backs away. "Now try it."

Jay presses the button. Outside, the Destiny's Bounty opens it's wings from the mast and rocket boosters start, lifting the Bounty up before they fly away. As they escape, Nya loses balance and the staff flies out of her hand.

Down below, the staff hits a Fangpyre knocking him out instantly and the staff strikes the sand.

Ed and Edna are standing on the deck of the Bounty. "We'll get you back to the Junkyard just as soon as we see the coast is clear." Jay said as he walked up to them. "But stay as long as you'd like." He smiles warmly. "It's nice having you here."

"Ooooh." Edna squeals with delight, and the family hug.
