Harry Potter with a Twist of Fate.

Prologue

"Hermione, what just happened?" Harry asked frantically.

"We've gone back in time three hours, enough time-" Hermione began.

"WAIT, you mean we really just time travelled?"

"Yes. It's how I have been making all my classes this year." Hermione said as if this was perfectly normal thing to say.

"Wha-you_ seriously?" Harry finished lamely.

The look Hermione threw at Harry confused him. It confused him because she actually looked serious.

As the implications were running through his mind, Hermione was speaking rather rapidly and pacing the room.

"Very important-

"Careful. No one sees-

"Hagrid's hut-

Harry took a deep breath. "Hermione, stop. What are we going to do?"

"Did you hear a word of what I just said?" Hermione questioned heatedly.

"No." He quickly held a hand up.

"Sorry, that kind of blew my mind." Before she could stop him, Harry continued.

"What is the plan? How can we save Sirius and catch the rat?"

"Harry, look at me. We have to be extremely careful. Bad things happen to wizards who meddle with time. This is highly illegal, no one and I mean NO ONE can find out."

With that she leaned down and told him what she thought Dumbledore intended. They quickly finalized their plan.

The plan was insane, time travel was insane, the number of things that could go wrong were incalculable. Harry didn't mind that. The only problem with the plan in Harry's mind was the thought of letting Peter Pettigrew get away again.

Still coming to grips that Hermione had been time traveling all year, Harry muttered under his breath, "They're all barmy."

Then as fate would have it, a memory struck Harry of Ron calling Hermione barmy because of her schedule.

"Hermione, you said you have been using the time turner to get to all your classes, right?"

"Yes, Professor McGonagall had to get special permission for me to be allowed."

"Didn't you have three classes at the same time though?"

"Yeah, I would just go back another hour for the third class. Why does that matter?"

Harry took a moment before responding.

"Because, I think I can catch Pettigrew as he is escaping, without anyone noticing."

Watching Hermione go from puzzled to alarmed and finishing with a slightly dejected look shouldn't have been amusing. Yet, Harry couldn't stop the chuckle.

"What?"

"You're not going to listen if I try to talk you out of this, are you?" Hermione said with a slight grimace.

"Hermione do you trust me?"

"I hate you right now." The grin tugging at her lips betrayed her. "Yes, of course I trust you and of course I will help.

But. If this doesn't work and you get hurt, I will hex you senseless." Hermione finished with a glare.

Harry smiled at her.

"Thanks, we better hurry or we will be late getting to Buckbeak."
