Hey! I hope you like this story. Please leave a review, i'd love to know how to write better.

"I'm like the water when your ship rolled in that night..."

Piper listened to the soft, beautiful lyrics of "Willow" by Taylor Swift. It was at night in summer, about 9:56, but Piper was still awake.

"Rough on the surface but you cut through like a knife."

She sat down by the window, overlooking the beach.

"And if it was an open-shut case, I never would've known from that look on your face"

Once she was sure she was alone, she started singing along.

"Lost in your current like a priceless wine. The more that you say, The less I know. Wherever you stray, I follow. I'm begging for you to take my hand, Wreck my plans, That's my man."

Piper got up and started walking downstairs.

"Life was a willow and it bent right to your wind. Head on the pillow, I could feel you sneaking in. As if you were a mythical thing, Like you were a trophy or a champion ring, And there was one prize I'd cheat to win."

She heard a doorbell ring from the other side of the house.

Damn it! I wish we didn't live in such a big house! She thought

She started jogging to the other side.

"The more that you say, The less I know. Wherever you stray, I follow.
I'm begging for you to take my hand, Wreck my plans,That's my man."

She finally got there, and opened the door, not bothering to shut off the music.

"Hello?" She said, out of breath.

She didn't look at the person at first, thinking it was another sales-person. Once she took the person's appearence in, she realized He was not like the other ones.

"You know that my train could take you home, Anywhere else is hollow.
I'm begging for you to take my hand, Wreck my plans, That's my man"

A Boy, looking 17, with gold rimmed glasses and blond hair stood in front of her. he was wearing a Purple longsleeved shirt and jeans.

Damn. And he lives next door? She thought

"Uh- Sorry to bother you, my sister told me to go next door and tell you that we just moved in in that house." he pointed to a large double-story house, which looked cozy.

"Life was a willow and it bent right to your wind (oh)

They count me out time and time again
Life was a willow and it bent right to your wind (oh)
But I come back stronger than a 90's trend"

"Okay. Thanks. Um, I'm Piper. What about you?" She said, putting her arm out for him to shake.

"Uh- I'm Jason. Nice to meet you." He shook Piper's hand, and when there hands touched, a jolt raced up her arm.

"Wait for the signal and I'll meet you after dark

Show me the places where the others gave you scars
Now this is an open-shut case
Guess I should've known from the look on your face
Every bait and switch was a work of art"

"Alright Jason, I hope I see you again." Piper said with a grin.

"I do too Piper." Jason replied, and looked down at his phone, and then put it back in his pocket. "Alright. I gotta go. Bye!" He said, running in the direction of his house.

I have a feeling this will work out, she thought. It will all work out

"The more that you say, The less I know. Wherever you stray, I follow. I'm begging for you to take my hand, Wreck my plans, That's my man.
You know that my train could take you home, Anywhere else is hollow. I'm begging for you to take my hand, Wreck my plans, That's my man"

Piper shut the door, and felt her face heat up.

"The more that you say
The less I know
Wherever you stray
I follow
Begging for you to take my hand
Wreck my plans
That's my man"

Piper steadied her breathing, and sang along again.

"You know that my train could take you home
Anywhere else is hollow
Begging for you to take my hand
Wreck my plans
That's my man"

She went to the other side of the house, and started up the stairs.

"Hey, that's my man
That's my man
Yeah, that's my man"

She Made it to her room and went over to the window, and watched as Jason and... that must have been his sister talked on his porch

"Every bait and switch was a work of art
That's my man
Hey, that's my man
I'm begging for you to take my hand
Wreck my plans
That's my man"

As the song ended, Piper turned off Alexa, and turned of the lights.

"Goodnight..." She whispered to herself.
