Loki's wet boots stamped on the giant marine ship. "WHAT'S UP WITH THIS WEATHER"

Loki, Tashigi, and Smoker, along with a few others, had been trying to set sail for over 5 minutes now. Unfortunately, the insanely obscure weather made it almost impossible to get a proper direction on the ship.

Smoker scoffed at the situation they were in. "If only that troublesome Dragon didn't intervene."

Loki nodded his head in agreement before looking up at the fading sky. It seemed that the sky was beginning to regain its brightness.

Tashigi gripped her sword tightly, looking down in shame. "I let Pirate Hunter Zoro get away..."

The smoker eyed Tashigi, pondering a response. "Don't stress about it. You're just not on his level right now."

Those words didn't seem to help much in Tashigi's case.

Smoker redirected his attention to the ship's sailor. "Get the sails down and head for the calm belt."

The calm belt is the area around the Grand Line, which stretches like a huge line throughout the entire world. The calm belt holds some of the biggest sea beasts and kings in the world, but it denies access to anyone who dares to sail through. This is why it's called the calm belt: it only has plain weather and no wind, making it impossible for most people to sail even if they want to.

Loki looked at his superior, slightly shocked. "How are we going to sail through the horde of sea kings? Even if we had a way, there's no wind to sail!"

Smoker sat down on a barrel that happened to be on the ship. "Calm down snow hunter. This ship is specially equipped with boosters on the rear ends that allow sailing through the calm belt. Alongside that, we have sea stone on the bottom of the ship practically making us invisible to those beasts."

Loki nodded in understanding before turning to Tashigi. "This was certainly not the reunion I was expecting."

Tashigi slightly laughed before responding. "That reunion can wait. Right now we have to track down those Straw Hats and personally take them down. I have Zoro."

Loki grinned. "I have Luffy."

Smoker glared at the snow-haired boy blowing a puff of smoke out of his cigar. "He's mine."

A blue vein bulged out of Loki's head in response to Smokers words. "Fine. Whoever gets him first."

Smoker didn't response. Instead opting to blow out a puff of smoke.

Loki rolled his eyes and decided to put his attention on the sea ahead.

The air grew still. The winds had stopped blowing, and the sun had stopped its usual glare.

The smoker sat up from the barrel and moved toward the deck of the boat, placing his hands on it.

"We've finally entered the calm belt. It should be a smooth ride until we enter the grand line."

"GET THE SAILS TOGETHER!!" Smoker screamed.

SNAP!!

A thunderstorm crackled through the air, evidently frightening some of the Marines on board.

One of the taller Marines wrapped his arms around a rope and pulled it with all his might.

Drip Drop Drip Drop Drip.

The weather went from lightning strikes suggesting death to a rainstorm that soaked everyone from head to toe.

Smoke enveloped Captain Smoker as he propelled himself to the top of the ship, pulling the sails with all his might.

"Look in the sky!" A random Marine screamed, pointing his finger at the sky.

Loki's eyes popped out of his sockets at his jaw dropped to the floor. "IT'S SNOWING?!?"

Chills ran down the spine of Tashigi, who had already put on a thick blue winter coat.

Loki picked himself up, a drop of sweat forming on his brow. "What the hell is up with the weather in the Grand Line!!?"

Smoker dropped down from the top of the boat. "I haven't been here in so long that I forgot. Everything is so unpredictable in the Grand Line; it can change from summer to winter in a minute."

Loki stared at the sky, which was beginning to clear up and the sun was starting to shine again.

Sorry to interrupt, but what's the plan? A random Marine nervously asked.

Smoker turned his head towards the Marine, further scaring him. "We came to the Grand Line for the sole purpose of capturing the Straw Hat crew." Smoker blew out a puff of smoke. "We don't have any clues about their whereabouts, so for now we will ask around and capture any pirates along the way."

The random Marine nodded and nervously backed away until he felt comfortable turning around.

Smoker pulled out a log pose.

Smoker took one more look at the log pose. "It's broken."

Tashigi snatched the log pose out of Smoker's hands in annoyance. "What are you talking ab-WOAH!

Loki covered his ears in annoyance. "Why are you yel- WOAH WHY IS IT POINTING UP!"

"Pathetic." Smoker scoffed and threw the log pose to the ground.

"WOAH WOAH WAIT!" Tashigi caught the log pose just before impact, sighing in relief.

Tashigi sighed again. "I'm not an extravagant navigator or anything. But I can say for sure that this log pose isn't broken"

"Are you trying to say... there's a sky Island?!?" Loki and Smoker said the same words. Staring at Tashigi as if she was crazy.

Tashigi nervously shook her head. "I- I'm not saying it's real but there's a possibility!"

Before Smoker could respond, the impossible happened. The sky suddenly went dark. As if a pitch-black pan had been put over it.

A veteran Marine dropped to the floor, in pure and utter fear. His eyes were rolled back in his head, and his jaw was on the floor." CAPTAIN SMOKER, LOOK AT THE SKY!!"

With a grunt of annoyance, Smoker tilted his head upwards to investigate the source of the commotion.

Loki, along with Tashigi, also looked up to see what had scared the veteran marine.

"W- WOAH MONSTERS!!!" Tashigi and Loki's heads detached from their bodies as they were sent flying back into a wooden wall.

Two large cigarettes hit the floor with a thud. The smoker's eyes gradually grew so big that they could be mistaken for two snowballs.

"W-What the hell is that?!"

Three enormous shadowy figures loomed over the Marine ship. Their size was so immense that numbers couldn't even begin to measure it. Each carried a weapon and gazed at the boat as if it were a mere toy in the middle of a human war.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! SAIL!" Smoker commanded the Marines, nervously watching the shadows.

The boosters on the rear end of the boat blasted full power, sending the boat blasting past the shadows.

As the boat passed through the shadow, the veil covering the sky vanished, and the brilliant sunlit sky began to shine again.

Loki and Tashigi let out a sigh and plopped straight onto the ground.

Meanwhile, Smoker lit a cigarette and took a large puff.

"The Grand Line is something else..." Loki sat back up, leaning on the wooden railings of the ship.

Tashigi adjusted her glasses and slowly rose. "As I was saying before... that happened. There's a definite possibility of a sky island."

Loki eyed Tashigi before speaking. "I don't even know what is possible and impossible after seeing that."

The smoker spoke up, deciding to end this troublesome conversation. "We will head to the nearest island Jaya and ask around. We will do it before our log-pose resets."

"Jaya?! Isn't that an island outside of the government's reach?!" Tashigi slightly shivered at the thought of hordes of pirates doing whatever they wanted on that island.

Loki grinned with confidence. "No worries. Any notable pirates there can say hello to me!"

Smoker nodded before turning to the ship's helmsman. "Head for Jaya."
