Beast Forest Outskirts (Day)

When the class exited the bus, they found themselves standing on a clifftop that overlooked a gigantic forest. The only thing that smeared the natural beauty was the black limo parallel to the bus.

Two female heroes came out of the car, dressed like cat ladies. One had red accents in her outfit, while the other had blue accents. 'Oh, not this again.' Dominic griped. Dealing with this once was already too much for him. Long story.

"Your feline fantasies are here!" the red-themed woman said, posing.

"We're the Wild Wild Pussycats, half version!" the blue-themed woman finished, joining the pose.

"These are the pro heroes you will be working with this week." Aizawa said. "Well, half of them, at least."

"They're a four-person team that specializes in mountain rescues!" Midoriya explained. "They've been heroes since we were kids. This mar-" He was cut off when Dominic suddenly appeared, covering the boy's mouth with his hand.

"Okay, since you clearly don't get how the world works, let me give you a piece of advice." the blonde said, looking back to the two feline heroes. The blue-themed one had a skyrocketing body temperature, indicating her anger. "Never, and I do mean never, tell a woman how old she is. It will be the last thing you ever do."

"You should listen to your friend, kid." the blue-themed heroine said, seething.

"We own all the land you see, so you can go crazy with your Quirks while training." the red-themed heroine explained. She then pointed to a mountain in the distance. "The camp you'll be training at is at the base of that mountain."

"Wait, then why did we park here?" Uraraka asked, confused.

"You really have to ask that?" Dominic said, having seen this coming. He'd already gone through pretty much the exact same thing at Beacon's initiation. If he had to fight soulless monsters, that'd just be the icing on the cake.

"That can't be right." Sato said.

"Everyone, pack up." Kaminari said, turning to walk back to the bus.

"The current time is 9:30 in the morning." the red-themed heroine said. "If you're quick enough, you can make it to the camp by noon."

"Noon?" Dominic said, grinning. "I'll get there before you can say 'meow'." And with that, he ran over the edge of the cliff with total disregard for his own safety. And just like his initiation at Beacon, he did nothing to slow his descent. With a loud crash, he landed on the ground, laughing as he did so. "Okay, you two, come out!" The blonde threw two Poke Balls into the air, releasing Charizard and Zygarde 10% Forme.

Almost immediately after he sent them out, the rest of his class came plummeting down the cliff. "You have 3 full hours to reach the camp! Use them!" the red-themed heroine said from the top of the cliff.

"Hey." Dominic said, grinning smugly. "How was the fall?"

"Not in the mood." Jiro said, wiping some of the dust off her outfit. "How are you so calm after jumping off a cliff!?"

"Believe it or not, this isn't my first time." the blonde said. "Now, if you excuse me, I have a forest to get through. Charizard, Zygarde, keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary." The two Pokemon nodded in understanding before following their trainer as he ran headlong into the woods.

And as if to spite him, two behemoths made of dirt blocked his way. They took the appearance of a weird cross between a wolf and a dragon.

'Just like initiation.' Dominic thought to himself, reminded of the day he was launched into a forest densely populated with Grimm. "Charizard, use Dragon on the one on the left! Zygarde, use Crunch on the one on the right!" Charizard slashed its opponent with claws imbued with draconic energy while Zygarde sank its teeth into the monster before it. Both attacks dealt debilitating damage to the dirt constructs. "Now Zygarde, finish this with Thousand Arrows!" Roaring, Zygarde shot a green orb of light into the sky. The orb exploded, raining rays of energy down on both monsters and destroying them. The lights then returned to Zygarde's body, and the trio continued running.

This feeling, the overwhelming feeling of power, was exactly why Dominic loved being a trainer. Looking down to Zygarde's running form, he could tell it was feeling something similar. The Legendary Pokemon always did have a certain sense of duty, and the desire to increase its own power was one of the reasons it allowed Dominic to command it in battle.

Terminus Cave (Flashback)

Dominic came to Terminus Cave because of the rumors of a monster hiding inside. Thinking that it might've been a powerful Pokemon, he rode to the cavern's entrance on Charizard's back.

After several hours of spelunking, the boy managed to find a large chamber with moss growing everywhere. In the back of the chamber was a giant Pokemon with black and green scales, as well as a body shape that resembled a Z. Checking his Pokedex revealed that this new Pokemon was called Zygarde.

'It kind of reminds me of Xerneas and Yveltal.' Dominic thought to himself. Shaking his head, he approached the large Pokemon. "Zygarde, I wish to battle you!" he proclaimed. The verdant Pokemon looked down at the trainer for a few moments before letting out a bellowing roar. "Perfect! Chesnaught, come out and use Hammer Arm!" Throwing a Poke Ball, he released one of his strongest Pokemon.

With a fierce growl, Chesnaught rushed at Zygarde and threw a punch strong enough to crush a car. Despite this, the snake-like Pokemon was unfazed. It reeled back its head and shot a beam of energy at Chesnaught, sending it flying into a wall.

"Okay, close range attacks are a bad idea." Dominic said, sending Chesnaught back to its Poke Ball. "In that case, we'll go with something else. Greninja, you're up!" The trainer sent out his next Pokemon, who landed on the mossy ground with elegant grace. "Use Double Team!" Greninja made various hand signs before dozens of shadow clones appeared in the cave. "Now use Water Shuriken!" In an instant, the Ninja Pokemon formed throwing stars out of water and threw them all at Zygarde. The attack landed 5 times in a row, dealing a considerable amount of damage.

Then, the room started to shake. Looking at their opponent, Dominic and Greninja saw that Zygarde's body was glowing bright green. Before it could react, all of Greninja's shadow clones were struck with an Earthquake attack, dispelling all the fakes. Zygarde then used Dragon Pulse on the real one, knocking it out.

"It's fast." Dominic said, recalling Greninja. "Yveltal, come out!" The boy threw an Ultra Ball, releasing the Legendary Pokemon he met all those years ago.

Something strange happened once it appeared. Normally, its Dark Aura would be activated by now. But something was stopping it. Turning to face Zygarde, he saw that the Pokemon was somehow absorbing the Dark Aura.

"So using Dark Pulse is a bad idea." Dominic deduced. "In that case, use Focus Blast!" Yveltal formed an orb of golden energy above its head before firing it at Zygarde. The green Pokemon shot back a Dragon Pulse, breaking Focus Blast apart and striking Yveltal. The Legendary Pokemon fell to the ground, its HP almost depleted. "Get back into the air and use Oblivion Wing!" Letting out a shrill cry, Yveltal rose into the air and glared at Zygarde. Its feathers began glowing blood red, and it launched a beam of energy that quickly descended on its opponent.

The second before it did, though, Zygarde's body turned a dull green, blending in with its surroundings right as Oblivion Wing landed.

"That was Camouflage." Dominic realized as Yveltal's HP replenished. "If I'm right, it should be a Rock-Type now. Yveltal, use Focus Blast again!" Yveltal fired a golden orb of energy again. Zygarde attempted to deflect it with Dragon Pulse again, only for the Fighting-Type Move to break through and hit it. Seeing an opportunity, Dominic threw a Poke Ball at Zygarde. The verdant Pokemon was sucked in, and the spherical device began to shake a bit. After a few seconds, it flashed green and stopped moving. The second it did, Dominic's Pokedex started beeping.

"Zygarde has been registered to your Pokedex!"
