Wheezes in Hogsmeade

20th of January, 2000.

Snow covered the ground. A castle stood tall in the morning sun. Animals moved around the sparkling landscape. A tower was slowly being constructed for the great wizard. In the forest, a small army of fay was slowly trying to overtake the evil troll, but it was a tough battle. Keyara was watching all of this from the kitchen window as she ate breakfast. She couldn't wait to get out there and play more in the snow with Leo. Aya would have liked this. Her face fell and tears appeared in the corner of her eyes. She missed Aya.

Charlie sat down next to Keyara as he noticed that she had gotten sad. "Do you still want to go outside?" he asked calmly.

Keyara nodded slowly.

"Then you better finish that breakfast," Charlie said. "Otherwise the breakfast gremlin just might come and tickle you." He tickled her quickly before moving away again. She still looked sad, but he knew better than to force her to talk about it.

Leoline bounced down the stairs ready to face the day. "Ready soon K'yara?" he shouted.

"Please don't scream inside, Leoline," Remus said. "We can hear you."

"Kay dad," Leoline said. He walked over to the door and put on warm clothes before heading outside. He started rolling snowballs so they could continue building. He wanted his tower to be really really high up. He'd have to wait for Harry to get outside though. He was the one that knew how to build.

The sun shone down gently on the world. The snow softened but did not melt. Outside of Ennerdale's wards, there was no snow. The land lay barren, a dull sandy brown. The Sanctuary was modified to keep the temperatures that the dragons preferred. Moving between the two was cumbersome without magic. Harry applied a few heating spells to himself as he walked away from the dragons. His daughter came running up to him giggling and blabbing. She hugged his leg tightly and Harry moved her so he could keep moving even if he was lugging her around with every other step. He smiled softly as she laughed. He was glad she could do that so freely despite what had happened and the people she had lost. He knew they would have many questions to answer one day and they would go back to Kandy to visit her parent's graves. They would try to answer her. What more could they do?

Charlie grabbed Keyara and tickled her relentlessly as he carried her over to the castle. He placed her down on the battlements and growled. "I'm coming to get you," he said.

Keyara squealed and tried to run away from him.

Harry looked over towards the gates as the wards pinged. He smiled as he saw red hair. "Hey Fred!" he called. "What brings you over?"

"You mean apart from the next Marauders?" Fred said happily. "We are expanding." He stopped next to Harry. "We're setting up shop in Hogsmeade. Zonko's didn't live through the attack so we are moving in."

"I see," Harry said. "You want some help with that? I could use it to set some wards for the area to be honest. Charlie did point out that I maybe could protect the village a little at least."

"That's probably a good idea, especially after the attack on Diagon Alley," Fred said. "Who knows what that madman is going to try next." He looked up at a black owl as it left the house.

"Looks like Draco is ignoring his father still," Charlie said.

"Lucius will just have to wait until we are ready," Harry said. "I just wish I could figure that last little bit out so I could fix his damn mark…" He shook his head. "It is a mess though and Rhavaniel, unfortunately, can't help me. She doesn't know the magic well enough."

"You have made plenty of progress with her help though," Charlie said. "It isn't all in vain."

Harry shook his head. "I know," he said. He smiled as Fred turned into a coyote before jumping around the children. He was bright orange and would never fit in with regular coyotes, but he looked pretty awesome.

"I should learn that too," Charlie said.

"Probably not a good idea," Harry said.

"Why?" Charlie asked.

"Because I'm a dragon and you are my Knight," Harry said. "If I turned it would be forever. Chances that it would be the same for you are pretty big. You can do the first steps that is fine…"

"But stop if I am a dragon 'cause it might get strange otherwise," Charlie said with a nod.

16th of February, 2000.

Boxes stood everywhere. Two new employees had been hired and they were helping the twins move things over. The new location was still being painted. Strang symbols covered the building before they were covered with a second layer of paint. Magic hummed in the air. The whole store acted as a ward stone for the village. Harry had worked for days to get it all set.

Keyara was playing in a corner with boxes placed so she couldn't run off somewhere. Fred looked like a mess of paint, but he liked being personally involved in everything.

"You want it to be colourful right?" Harry asked.

"Yes, please," Fred said. "It should pop!"

"Will do," Harry said. He was done with the base layer so he could look at what shades to use now. Purple and orange were a must. He walked outside. Unlike the Diagon Alley location, they had walls to work with. He would need to contact Dean. He had an idea he couldn't make happen on his own. He could do the base coats though. He smiled at Charlie as he came to pick Keyara up.

Fred walked out hours later and looked at the building. It looked like someone had hit it with huge balls of paint. They were slowly changing colour. "That is amazing," he said. He walked around. "Hey, Harry, why is this wall blank?"

"Need Dean!" Harry called back.

"Oh, interesting," Fred said. He walked back inside. Harry obviously had everything under control.

31st of March, 2000.

Hogsmeade hadn't seen so many people at once since the attack almost two years earlier. Everyone was joking around and laughing. Free samples of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes products were handed out as part of the new location opening up. Music was playing from somewhere and Charlie was helping his brothers. It was a Weasley front.

Harry wandered around the crowd calmly. Neville was doing the same a bit further away and Dora was keeping an eye on things. There were quite a few people there who would quickly react to someone trying to hurt people.

Luna waved lazily at Harry as he met her eyes. She was eating colour-changing straws happily.

Harry waved back before he continued walking.

"Damn those dragons look good," Dean said. "I really like how all the animals on that wall turned out and I love that they move." He looked at Harry. "How did you get them to become black if they walk into a colour splash?"

"It was a little tricky, but I really wanted it to work," Harry said.

"Certainly worth it," Dean said. "Have you seen Tales of Skydale yet?"

"Alice sent the first one over a few days ago," Harry said. "So far it looks good and Leoline really likes it."

"Ah, you are testing it on the potential audience that's smart," Dean said. "Are the pictures good?"

"They look, great Dean," Harry said. He kept walking and bumped into Zabini.

"Well, hello," Blaise said. "Still going to deny me, are you?"

"Married and bonded," Harry said. He held an arm up and the bond marks glowed.

Blaise sighed. "A man can dream, right," he said. "A shame you never said yes."

"For you, I guess," Harry said. "I highly doubt I missed out." He spun and landed next to Charlie who wrapped an arm around him. Harry spoke to him and Charlie looked straight at Blaise with a frosty glare. He tightened his hold on Harry possessively and Harry just laughed.

Blaise sighed. Oh, well what could have been? He wasn't going to try to mess with Harry now. He was obviously happy. He looked around. There had to be some other good-looking guy somewhere.

2nd of May, 2000.

Finally, everything was done. Remus walked through his house slowly. It looked a lot like Harry's house in many ways, but he had some ideas of his own that he had implemented. Leoline's room was all done with big dinosaurs holding onto his bed and bright green curtains clashing against the blue walls. They would have to repaint it he was sure of that, but he didn't mind. It was just some paint.

Leoline still wasn't sure he wanted to move over. He really liked the new room, but it wasn't his own room with Harry right there as well as his dad. In a way, it felt like Harry was throwing him out now that he had his own daughter. It didn't make much sense and he liked Keyara.

No one was going to force Leoline to move. They all knew it would come naturally if Remus moved over. Leoline still loved his father more than he loved Harry and would miss him if he stayed without him in the main house.

A path had been laid between the houses.

Dora smiled as she looked around as she walked into the house. "This looks lovely," she said softly. She smiled at Leoline and Keyara who were playing in Leoline's room. "Are we going to tell him?" she asked.

"In a month or two once he has gotten used to the house," Remus said. "I don't want to throw too many changes at him at once."

"But I can come around?" Dora asked.

"You have always been invited," Remus said.

"I know, but it was Harry and Charlie's house. I didn't want to intrude," Dora said.

"They wouldn't have cared," Remus said.

Dora shrugged. She couldn't put a finger on it, but there was something about Harry that bothered her. He was really sweet and nice. She loved talking to him, but there was something about him that just… she wasn't sure what it was, and she once had a crush on Charlie. So it was just a little awkward.

7th of June, 2000.

Balloons floated in the air. Tables were placed out on the lawn near the lake. Plates were placed on the table. Winky made sure the food was ready. Colourful banners led from the house down to the tables.

Apolline was walking behind Chelsea slowly. This was the first time they left their home with her since she arrived. The Weasley clan wasn't invited. Not because Charlie and Harry didn't care dearly for them, but because Keyara was still uncomfortable with a lot of people. For that reason and because Chelsea also wasn't used to people they had chosen a different approach to the birthday.

The little light fox ran ahead of Chelsea. She was looking around carefully. This was where Harry lived. She looked back at the house. She met bright green eyes and gave a small smile.

'Okay?' Harry asked softly. Explaining to Chelsea that Harry and Kato were the same person had been easy. He felt the same to her. She had just accepted it.

'Yes,' Chelly answered.

'I'll be out with Keyara soon,' Harry said.

Chelly nodded slowly as she looked back towards the lake. Apolline had explained to her that Keyara had lost her family in a fire. She rubbed her arms. Why was it fire? So awful. So scary.

Keyara walked next to Harry shyly as she came down the path to the table. She looked at the older girl. Rye had told her she couldn't speak. She waved at Chelsea and hid behind Harry's leg. Her face broke out in a smile as Leoline came running down the path happily. "Happy birthday K'yara," he said happily.

"Thank you, Leo," Keyara said.

Harry sat down so he was sitting near Chelsea. Bill and Fleur arrived with little Theia. Marceau and Remus walked over some time later and Charlie walked over from the Dragon pens. Draco eventually joined them halfway through the meal. It was a calm affair and Keyara got several gifts she opened slowly.

Harry was standing with Chelsea down by the lake later as Keyara and Leoline played around in the water. 'Have you found him?' Chelly asked sadly.

'Not yet, but I am looking,' Harry said.

'I like the lake,' Chelly said. 'Less scary than the ocean.'

'You will always be safe in our wards,' Harry said calmly.

Chelsea nodded slowly. She reached out and took Harry's hands slowly. 'Safe,' she said. She looked up and Harry made the wards show. He knew that a lot of people found it nicer to know they were there.

Keyara came running by them laughing and Harry let go of Chelsea so he could catch his daughter. He spun her around several times before letting her back down. He stayed close to Chelsea for the rest of the day. He was trying to help her heal. It was such a slow process that he tried to do something to give her a boost every time they met.

"Thank you for today," Apolline said as she hugged Harry. "I think it was a good day for Chelsea. I'm so glad she is making progress."

"She met a lot of new people today and it seemed to go fine," Harry said. "We should try again sometime. Maybe just come over for a day without there being a reason for it."

"We'll send you an owl," Apolline said. "We don't need to hurry anything." She smiled as she hugged Charlie as well. "Until next time dears," she said. She placed her hands on Chelsea's shoulders and disapparated.

Harry walked into the living room once all the guests had left and picked a half-sleeping Keyara up. He carried her upstairs and placed her on her bed. "Good day?" he asked.

Keyara nodded sleepily. "Love you Rye," she mumbled.

"I love you too, Keyara," Harry said. He kissed her forehead before standing up and heading for the door. He looked over at Remus' room. It was time to change it up. He had a feeling they might as well make it more child-friendly. They had given Hermione's room to Keyara. She wouldn't mind. If she was staying with them she would prefer the guest rooms now either way. He picked up her latest letter and read through it again. She was happy and she was doing good work. They still hadn't decided where they wanted to settle down in the end. Viktor was still travelling so much for work that it didn't matter much either way. He guessed he should head out and help Charlie with the dragons.

They had several clutches of eggs now.

The wards alerted Harry to the arrival of several people. Judging by the feel they were dwemer. Harry headed out to meet them.

"Krinahkro?"

"That is me," Harry said.

"We are here to inform you that several dragon hatchings were recovered and returned to Dragon's Breath Cavern. According to Koss of Clan Alfknif, several of them wanted to stay in the sun. As such we have brought them here. Koss made certain the dragons at Dragon's Breath were aware of the hatchlings' return before they were brought here. The dragons at Dragon's Breath have calmed, but do not wish to interact with humans or dwemer. As such it has been decided to end the excavations entirely one year from now and leave them alone. You will also not be welcome back at that point."

"I see," Harry said. "Then we will go over soon and ask if any other dragons wish to leave."

"Good." The Dwemer placed down several cages. "Where do we take the dragons?" the leader asked.

"If you will follow me," Harry said. He led them over to their Sanctuary. The cages were opened and the small dragons moved out.

"Qozul! Kaanaaz!" Harry called. He knew that the introduction was better done with their own kind. He turned back to the Dwemer. "I thank you for your aid in this," he said with a deep bow.

"Our mission is concluded," the lead Dwemer said. He led his people back to the edge of the wards and left.

10th of June, 2000.

Heya Harry!

I would love it if you (and your family)

could come with Mom and me to Kenya.

We are playing on climbing Mt Kilimanjaro

this summer with some of my cousins.

(If you could bring a dragon or two that

would be great.) Either way,

I'm hoping you are having a great summer.

Hugs Tanya
