Chapter 73

(It has been a week and everything is done in regards to the proposal. Jason got the boys' input on the engagement ring. Jason decided to hold the engagement party at The Metro Court. Jason asked the boys what he should wear to the party. All four agreed Mom would want him to be himself and nothing else)

(For Jason, Elizabeth, and the guests…walleye, and baked potato with butter will be served. For the kids, macaroni and cheese with hot dogs)

(As for who is invited? The guest list is Monica, Epiphany, Alexis, Kristina, all four boys, Terry, Chet, Diane, Franco if he chose to come, Sonny, Brick, Carly, and Josslyn)

(Jason learned from Brick the engagement ring he picked out for his girl has been resized. Carly put some red, purple, and white flowers on the tables and decorated the restaurant a bit. Both Carly and Jason agreed they didn't want to hint to Elizabeth about anything that was going on. He wanted it to be a surprise)

***Webber House***

Jason: "How would you feel about going out to eat at The Metro Court for supper? We can bring the boys with us, like a family event."

Liz: (nods & smiles) "I would love that. It has been a while since we've all gone out to eat as a family."

(While Elizabeth was getting ready, Jason got the boys together and spoke in a low voice so they were not heard)

Jason: "Remember, do not say anything about why we are really going to The Metro Court. It's a secret."

(The boys all promised and they could not wait until dad proposed to mom. Suddenly, Jason's cell phone rings)

Jason: "Hey, Mom. What's up?"

Monica: "I know the engagement party is tonight. If you want, I can have the boys stay with me after the party so you and Elizabeth can celebrate."

Jason: (nods) "If you are willing to do that, that'd be great. Thank you, Mom."

Monica: "You're very welcome. Talk to you later."

(They both end the call. Before Jason can do anything else, Elizabeth comes walking down the stairs. She is wearing a blue knee length dress with shoulder straps. The front of the dress went down low enough to show her chest but covered her breasts. In case it got a little cold, she wore her matching blue sweater that goes with the dress)

(For earrings, she's wearing her medium sized diamond ones that Jason got her for their second date)

(She is wearing light pink colored makeup and shiny lip gloss. When Jason saw her, he was in awe at how amazing she looked)

Jason: "You look absolutely breathtaking, baby."

Liz: (chuckles) "Why, thank you."

Jason: "I hope you know that, while you look amazing, you look just as beautiful the way you always look."

Liz: (nods) "I know. I just felt like dressing up tonight."

(She saw the boys, who were dressed up nicely, but not in suits. Jason wasn't in a suit, but he had on blue jeans and a gray flannel on. Elizabeth knew he didn't like dressing up, so she got curious)

Liz: "Is it a special occasion tonight? Everyone seems to be dressed up."

(Jason evades the question with another answer)

Jason: "I just wanted to treat my family to a nice night out."

(Elizabeth accepts the answer and moves on. Once they all get to The Metro Court and on the main floor to the restaurant, Elizabeth notices that there are no customers seated and that the place looks different)

Liz: "Umm, Jason? Why is the place a bit decorated? Is someone having a party? Oh, no, Jason. Did we come on a bad night?"

Jason: (smiles) "There is a party going on, but it's OUR party."

(Jason turns around to face his girl while the boys are next to them with grins on their faces)

Jason: "That's why the boys are here."

(Elizabeth is confused at first before she connects the dots. She smiles at the love of her life)

Liz: "Jason, what did you plan?"

Jason: (grins) "Only one of the best nights of your life, baby."

(All of a sudden. Everyone appears from another room…all of their friends and family. Elizabeth believes she knows what is going on. She wants to wait and see what Jason does to make sure)

(Everyone rallies in a circle around the couple along with the boys as 'Rewrite the Stars' by Zac Efron and Zendaya from The Greatest Showman is lightly playing in the background. Jason walks to his girl and asks the boys to come near him as he bends down on one knee and smiles passionately. He opens the box and shows the ring)

Jason: "Elizabeth Imogene Webber, you brighten up my life in more ways than I can count. You make me laugh when I am in a bad mood from a rotten day at work. You came back into my life at exactly the right time. I love you more than words can say. It is true what they say. You are my soul mate and best friend. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife and officially making us a family of six?"

(Elizabeth softly cries as her dream is now coming true. She did not realize she hadn't spoken when Danny talks)

Danny: "Say yes, Mommy Elizabeth. Make us a family."

(Everyone laughs. Jason chuckles. Elizabeth sniffles as she speaks)

Liz: "I love you so much, Morgan. I am so glad this night finally came. I would love to marry you and officially make you, me, and the boys a family."

(Jason takes Elizabeth's hand and rests the ring on her ring finger. Everyone claps and the boys cheer. Jason takes Elizabeth in his arms and they share a kiss. Afterwards, Jason and Elizabeth share a dance as do other couples. Josslyn and Cameron dance. Terry and Chet dance. Carly and Sonny dance, too)

(While sharing a dance, Jason and Elizabeth chat)

Jason: "Thank you for saying yes."

Liz: "Mmm, to you? Anytime."

(Once the song ends, Jason and Elizabeth stand in front of everyone as they knew now was the perfect time to share to the world that Cameron, Jake, and Aiden were biologically Jason's sons. The immediate family knew, but no one else knew)

Jason: "May I have your attention, everyone, please?"

Liz: "There is something we would like to share with everyone."

(Everyone faces the happy couple. Jason and Elizabeth look at each other and nod facing the crowd)

Jason: "Some of you already know what we are about to say. The rest of you are in the dark because we wanted to wait for the right moment. Well, it is finally here."

Liz: "Over the years, there were signs that Cameron and Aiden were Jason's biological kids. However, I truly didn't think it was possible. I knew that Jake was Jason's. However, with a trusted family member…"

(Elizabeth and Monica connect eyes and smile even though Elizabeth doesn't say her name)

Liz: "They kindly pointed out that anything is possible in life and I realized that it was indeed possible after going through all the facts. In the end, there was a DNA test run on all three boys, including Jake just to be safe. And it was revealed that Jason is, in fact, the biological father of all three boys."

(The crowd gasps and then applauds in happiness)

Jason: (chuckles) "We were shocked, to say the least, but very happy."

(Jason looks at Cameron, Jake, and Aiden, who walk by their dad)

Jason: "Even if they were not mine biologically, I wouldn't love them any less. That goes for Danny, too." (to Danny) "You may not be mine biologically, but I consider you mine."

(Jason hugs all four boys before facing the crowd)

Jason: "We just wanted to publicly announce this."

Liz: "Thank you."

(The waitress brings out the food. Everyone enjoys and engages in conversation. About an hour later, everyone is done eating. All the guests take turns congratulating the happy couple)

Terry: "Oh, Biz. I am so happy for you!"

Liz: (chuckles) "Thank you, Terry. It means so much that you came. I love you, sis."

Terry: "I love you more, Biz." (to Jason) "Treat her well or you'll have me to deal with, Morgan."

Jason: (chuckles) "Yes, ma'am."

(A few people take turns)

Monica: "I'm so glad you've made each other happy."

Carly: "I hope your love for each other lasts a lifetime."

Jason: "With my girl by my side, it will."

Sonny: "Congrats, Jayse. Elizabeth, you have made him a very happy man."

Liz: (smiles) "I plan to continue that for life."

(Everyone else congratulates the happy couple before Carly brings Jason to the side)

Carly: "It's time for you and Elizabeth to enjoy your engagement. I will tell Monica you left. Monica and I discussed it already." (grins) "We want you two to have a romantic night. I reserved a night here at The Metro Court for you guys. Consider it my present to you. Be happy, Jayse."

Jason: (nods & smiles) "Thank you, Carly. We appreciate it more than you know."

(The friends embrace then Jason goes to his girl. He explains what Carly did. Elizabeth is shocked and thankful. They leave the party and have a romantic night in their room)

(Once they get to their room, they are pleasantly surprised to see what Carly had done for them)

(There are flowers in the shape of a heart on the bed. There are a couple of baskets on the counter with robes, pj's, slippers, and toothpaste with toothbrushes. In a bucket with ice, there is champagne and two wine glasses next to it. There is a round table with two chairs so they can have breakfast in the morning if they choose)

(Behind the round table is a window so you can see a bit of the town of Port Charles. Inside another basket is shampoo, body wash, soap, and a loofah. Jason and Elizabeth were pleasantly surprised at everything Carly thought of)

Liz: "She really outdid herself."

Jason: "She did well."

Liz: "Remind me to thank her."

Jason: "You two have come a long way, haven't you? You and Carly?"

Liz: (nods) "We have. We went from hating each other, tolerating each other, and now we are even friends. She looks out for me."

Jason: "Good. Because if she still gave you trouble, Elizabeth, she would no longer be my friend."

(Elizabeth faced her love in shock. She didn't know if he was serious)

Jason: (nods) "Yes, I'm serious. Anyone who treats you bad is no friend to me. You're my #1, baby."

Liz: (smiles) "I love you, too."

(They decide to get comfy. He takes off his leather jacket and she takes off her blue sweater as the temperature in the room was elevated. Jason put some romantic music on the CD player that was also in the room. Somehow, Carly knew all of their favorites. He opened the champagne and poured some into the glasses. After they each took a drink, Jason took the glasses and rested them on the table near them)

Jason: "May I have this dance?"

Liz: (smiles) "You may."

(She goes into his arms and they slow dance. She rests her head on his shoulder and he rests his head on hers lightly)

Jason: "I like this."

Liz: "Mmm, me, too. This feels like heaven."

(They break free slightly to look into the others eyes and smile before leaning forward. They softly kiss. Her hands move to both sides of his neck and his hands go to her back.
