Before anything I want to address the guest review, human grimm hybrid is in the show, and salem wouldn't use them at this time in canon, this is a prototype and meant to put fear in people, that's why it's ignores aura (something has to do with silver eyes) and the way it spreads like wild fire, this grimm is meant to show that huntsmen are just as weak as normal people.

Also Jaune missile shield isn't that powerful, at most it should kill an Ursa or destroy a deathstaker arm, but he put high quality dust from Weiss, and if this was any other grimm it would be frozen for like 5 minutes, also think of it like that one scene in Ironman 2 with the hand missile but it actually works.

Chapter 10

The Aftermath

"Team STRQ, team JNBR, thank you for coming today" professor Ozpin, or Ozma as he told us last time was sitting on the headmaster office.

In normal circumstances this would have been disrespectful, but after they discovered that their beloved teacher was the person who created the academy itself, they weren't so shocked.

"of course professor, what do you need from us" Summer said beside Juniper, the rest of the two team behind, letting their leader speak.

"I'll get to the point immediately, after your discovery -" he looked at Roman and Nicholas, "- I decided to offer you an Opportunity" he said leaning on the chair.

"an offer of what kind" Juniper asked, after Roman throwing his team in absurd deals, they knew to look at small details that could either make the deal better for them or worse.

"The kind that would save the world" The professor had their attention now, " not a lot of people know what you kids know, I want you to be the next generation of agents, your job will be to answer to my call and fight secret battles, battles that no one will ever know existed because it will send Chaos across Remnant" Ozpin explained.

"secret battles?, what do you mean exactly" Nicholas was the first to ask the question on everyone mind, and Ozpin smile a little.

"secret battles for example-" the professor stood up and walked to the window, "-did you know the reason the great war started because Salam showed up in Vacuo, which resulted in a chain reaction leading to the grimm population to increase, the king of Vale tried to hold the world together with his alliances, which pushed Salem back" he turned to look at a horrified group of kids, but on looked the worst.

"You're telling me that the great war that resulted in the death of millions happened because of her?, what about the history books said" Oobleck studied history so he would'nt repeat the mistakes of the past, and knowing the history he studied so hard was just a lie, wasn't what he thought he'll get in Beacon.

"history is written by the victorious, the history you have read is merely what i did to prevent a worst-case scenario" Ozpin returned to the headmaster chair, his chair.

"So if we accept, we'll have to fight against just grimm?" Summer asked with a hopeful look.

" I wish it was just the grimm, but no, Salem is adapting, she started creating new type of grimm while also recruiting her own agents, you'll need to fight them if you ever met them, our goal is to hold her back as much as possible until we have enough power to corner her" the look on Summer face quickly changed, in the background Raven and Qrow shared a little conversation, no one noticed expect Ozpin and Nicholas.

"can we discuss this before giving you an answer" Juniper asked looking at her teammates for conformation, they all nodded, they all need to agree to this.

"you can have until your 4th year of Beacon, until then I'll ask you to not mention any of this to anyone other than me and the headmaster" Opzin then looked at Summer, "your parents were agents before, they were one of the best, specially your mother, Ruby Rose" he turned to everyone again, " now if you excuse me, I need to do important business with guest from Haven academy, have a good day students" with that they left the Headmaster office, and Juniper was angry.

She knew now they had to become the professor agents, not just because they were huntsmen and needed to help people, but because she had to help summer, the bombshell the professor just dropped guaranteed team STRQ joining, and team JNBR needed to look after their sister team.

After they got to their dorm, Juniper let her anger out, kicking the bed side, everyone looked at her with grim expression.

"So I take it we'll be joining after the bombshell he thrown at the end?" Roman asked the obvious question with smile on his face.

"I mean, of course we want to help with killing grimm and all that-" Roman expression turned serious, " but luring our little Summer child like that, well" Roman looked at them waiting for an answer.

"what do except from us, if the strongest team in Beacon doesn't help them, they'll get themselves killed" Nicholas stated, getting nodded from everyone.

"Well there is one way to know the true history now, and we will be writing our own, we can't leave all the credit to STRQ can we" Oobleck said with a smile.

"it's decided then-" Juniper stood in the middle of the room on top of her bed. "team JNBR will become professor Ozpin agents against the queen of the grimm, to save our world, and to keep it safe from team STRQ going on their own" with a smile on everyone face, they all nodded in agreement.

"Ozpin failed because of the technology was back then, but now, with the population this high, we can definitely win" Nicholas thought as he looked at his team, they will survive this, and they do it together.

" 9 deaths, 5 severally injured and the rest minor injuries, we contacted the families and gave the the dead a proper Funeral" Glynda Goodwitch to a deep breath then continued, "they are asking how this happened, we are going with 'new type of grimm' but they hardly buying it" Glynda stood in the Headmaster office with scroll in hand, after the trip they had, classes has been on hold for a week, so the students could process the events that happened.

"they'll have to, we can't tell them we found a faunus body inside a grimm, or how the grimm could ignore aura" the headmaster was still drawing in paperwork after the event, he had personally gone to help when he found team RWBY and JNPR standing, shock on their faces on seeing the faunus part, to the point they haven't notice the eyes, those damn eyes.

"how's team RWBY and JNPR doing, they were the only ones to see the corpse, and Mr Arc was the one dealing the final blow" he looked at his assistant, her expression harden a little.

"badly, both teams trying too hard not to acknowledge what happened, mis Nikos is in the fighting ring daily with mis Valkyrie, while Mr Arc, Mr Ren, mis Rose and mis Xaio-Long either playing games or checking their weapons, the only two who's hiding it well are mis Schnee and mis belladonna" Glynda said.

"Death is expected to in the life if a huntsmen, they'll figure it out, but just in case I would like to have a private meeting with each of them If possibly or at less the leaders" Ozpin took a sip of his coffee, which been running out a lot today.

"I'm afraid you don't have enough time for each, I'll tell mis Rose and Mr Arc you want to talk to them, other then that isn't possible, everything eles is under control, now if you excuse me, I have a class in 5 minutes" Glynda excused herself and went into the elevator.

Ozpin open the file on his desk and looked at the Corpse of the faunus, his silver eyes still glowing even after his death.

The silver eyes warriors were an elite group of the best, and she knew it too, she hunting them till Extinction.

Luckily he helped 2 of the last survivors, but now?, he had only one.

"Hopefully her Experiment ends here" the headmaster send the file to his trusted ally before closing it.

He can't keep thinking about the past, he needed to focus on the future.

"welcome Mr Arc, please take a set" jaune nodded and took the seat.

"I take it this is about what happened in Forever fall" Jaune asked, knowing the answer.

"Well, yes but I want to know how're you and your team handling it" the headmaster asked, he was the first to show up after the bullhead left, he looked stunned but quickly ordered another bullhead then told them to not talk about what happened, after that things weren't that good.

"Well to be honest it's not that good, we all think of what happened back their, none of us is taking it very well" jaune hesitate before continuing.

"...That grimm was a person, and I'm the one who killed it.., this goes against everything a huntsmen suppose to be, I'm suppose to help people, save them, but I ended a life there, I don't deserv-" before he could continue the headmaster stopped him.

"You did not kill a man Mr Arc, the person you've seen was eaten by a grimm, which is uncommon thing to happen but it exists, when you killed the grimm you saved that person, now he's resting knowing the grimm that killed him can't take anymore life" the headmaster assured him putting a hand on his shoulder.

"what you and your team did back there is what a true huntsmen would do, it's what your father would do, stand proud Mr Arc, you've not just killed a dangerous grimm, but also saved the life of team Rwby, team CVFY and team CRDL" the headmaster said with a smile.

The headmaster words helped him, assured him that he did the right thing, "would father be proud?" he thought before shaking his head to look at the headmaster.

"thank you sir, but I still don't know how to feel right now, my team is Scattered, we can barely stand together without thinking of what happened, and Team RWBY is the same" he can't feel proud of himself if he stood their while his team suffered .

"Well the job of the leader is to help his teammates in times like this, so what will you do" he gave the headmaster a smile, the first true smile he had since the incident.

"before i let you go, would you recunt the events that happend" the headmaster asked.

"my team and team RWBY spread to cover more ground, i met with blake and chatted for a while, then Valvet showed up with Cardin on her back injured, we rushed to the central area when we saw everything, we discoverd that Weiss was missing so we went and got her, she told us she got one of them with ice dust, when we got back the grimm became one and miss goodwitch couldn't handle it alone, so we made a plan to help her with ice dust, i used my shield to launch a small missile which froze it, and you know the rest" jaune looked nervous at the last part, probably remembering the corpse

"I need to help my team with this, i wouldn't be a good leader if i didn't, am I dismissed?" with a nodded, jaune left the Headmaster office.

" just like his mom, can't stand seeing his team disjointed" Ozpin chuckled before sending the next message, he needed to talk with team RWBY leader too.

"Hopefully it would be as easy as Mr Arc"

Mis Rose acted like nothing happened , which was somewhat expected.

She didn't do the final blow like Mr Arc, nor did any part of the corpse land close to her.

In fact, she looked happy as ever, until she asked her question.

"when you first met me, you said something about my eyes right?" her question was more of confirmation and she continued when he nodded.

"..the faunus, had silver eyes too,I never seen someone with them other than my mom, what exactly is the deal with my eyes" she asked, her expression gave a lot of emotions, confusion, fear, nervousness, and determination, with a sigh he answered.

" my comment about your eyes was just an observation, you know your mother was one of my students when I was just a professor" with her nod he continued, "she also had silver eyes, the same as her mother, it's just a coincidence that the faunus also have the same eye color, silver eyes are rare but not that uncommon" he answered, making sure his expression is unreadable.

"she still too young to find out the true" he thought as she thanked him and left the office.

"Her team and JNPR would join in time, now I need to focus and the festival and amber" he thought as her started a call to his two agents.

"Nicholas, Qrow, any report" he asked as the two mentioned, they headbutted each other on the screen, until Nicholas had the scroll.

" nothing yet, we barely got there in time, as I told you before, 3 attacks, 2 female and one male, the male had either robotics legs or had reinforces, and one of the female had some type of grimm in her hand, I managed to get hit on her eyes before the other used some kind of illusion to escape" Nicholas gave the same report as late time.

When the Arc family came to say good bye to their only male son, he had a talk about what's happening with the maidens, even though they were out, they couldn't help but make sure their son won't have to deal with same things they had.

Until an 'SOS' message from the fall maiden reached them.

Qrow was the closest, and fearing the worst, Nicholas contacted Raven to open a portal to Qrow, just to find him in a middle of a fight.

He quickly went on the attack helping his old friend, taking one of the attackers eye, giving Qrow enough time to take the maiden and head back to Beacon.

They barely saved her life, or what left of it , at less.

The headmaster sat back on his chair remember how angry Qrow was and Lashed out on Nicholas for asking Raven for help, and staying in contact with her.

It wasn't the reunion he'd expected from old friends but at less they met after 10 years of not even texting each other.

Juniper tried to use her semblance to stabilize her until we got her in a medical emergency Capsule.

Tai showed up to help, Raven expected the worst and got them help but decided she won't help, which resulted in the most awkward reunion since Summer passing.

"You two can returned, Amber condition is worsening, James has an idea, I need you two to be here in Vale for the worst-case scenario" Ozpin commanded , but Nicholas had other things.

"as I said before I'm out, I just helped with this because it was an emergency, you can leave this to Qrow, I'll be heading home" Nicholas stated, and Qrow didn't like it.

"so you just run away too huh, nothing happened, leave the fight for us old fart?" Nicholas didn't rise to the bait instead he took out his scroll and send a message.

A second later a red portal opened behind him, Qrow was not pleased, and Nicholas smirked.

"I would say it's pleasure to work with you again Qrow, but let's be real, the pleasure is all yours" with that Nicholas Arc stepped into the portal, leave Qrow and Ozpin hanging.

"Are you sure we can trust him Oz, he left not long after Raven" Qrow had Doubts, but Ozpin assured him.

"don't worry Qrow, I know Nicholas, he'll do everything in his power to protect his family, this still includes you and the rest of team STRQ, if push come to shove, he'll be the first one to respond".

Qrow sighed and transformed into a bird, he had a long way till he reach Vale.

Stepped into the portal, he got greeted by unimpressed Raven Branwen.

"tell me you didn't just call me to have a cool exit" she said with deadpan expression.

"Don't give me that crap, it's not like you didn't want to take the piss out of Qrow too" he said, getting a grin from her.

"So, you want to fill me in or what" Raven said, gesturing to her tent in the middle of the camp.

"sorry I don't stick it in crazy, besides I'm happily married with 8 children" he said to Raven who finally realized what she said.

"I meant about the maiden you Bastard" she hit him on the arm with enough strength to break his arm, but he use his aura to protect it.

"We got nothing now, Ozpin wants Qrow to come back to make sure no one in Vale who isn't suppose to be" he said.

they reached the tent and got inside,

They sat at small table and Raven offer him tea which he accepted.

"So the maiden now in coma, and she got half of her power stolen, and the one who did it still out there " Nicholas nodded his head.

"And what is Ozpin plan" she asked.

"he's keeping Amber alive, he said James has something that could help, other than that, they have nothing" he took a sip of his tea before he continued .

"You should come back, you won't be safe alone anymore, if they came to fall, they'll come for spring, she knows you have it, but not that you have it" Nicholas said, when she didn't answer, he continued.

"I met Yang when jaune joined Beacon-" her eyes widen, "-she apparently met jaune by accident and started a fight, even Ruby joined in, and guess who they were fight" he paused for her answer, when she didn't give any he answered himself.

"they fought the man who's been stealing dust all around Vale, Roman fucking torchwick " Nicholas said with bitter smile.

"… did Roman know?" she finally asked.

"Of course he did, not everyday he would run into a copy of me, you, and summer, I mean yang just need to dye her hair black to be your twin".

"you know why I left" she answered narrowing her eyes.

"Yeah of course, the 'I got a maiden power so now I'm a target, I need to stay away from my loved ones so they won't get hurt' ,do you thing Tai or your daughter will give a fuck about that, at less tell them a the real reason instead of 'you're weak' speech" he said, anger rising.

"you didn't see what I did Nicholas, Summer and I faced her, of course I don't want yang to be a target, it's enough that Tai knows the true of the fight" she answered back with the same heat.

"Do as you wish, but please, tell the truth to the kid, she deserves it" Nickolas sighed as he stood up.

"Boss your apprentice came in and wants to talk with yo-, M- Mr Arc, hello sir , how're you doing" Vernal entered the tent and frozen when she saw Nicholas.

"Tell me is your wife with you by any chance" she looked around nervously.

"hello vernal, no she isn't you can relax, I'm heading out anything, Raven" he said and Raven open a portal.

"How about you come in and say hi to Juniper " he asked Raven.

"no" she answered simply.

"why, sacred? " he teased.

"yes, yes I'm sacred of your wife, and you should too" Nicholas walked through the portal laughed, Raven turned her back and went to meet with her apprentice.

Outside the tent stood redhead man in black clothes.

"The long lost son has finally returned, isn't that right, Adam Taurus " she said looking the man up and down.

He had his mask hooked on the side, his scar in full view of everyone, but nobody cared, the tribe didn't carry if you were human or faunus, the most important thing is strength.

"I came here to get some answers, and you're the only one I know who could have him" Adam said resting his hand on his blade.

"huh, well there isn't anything free in this world" she said pulling out her sword, "are you ready to buy"

"of course, but let me worn you" he pulled his blade out, " I improved a lot since last time".

Their blade contacted, resulting in a blinding light, their friendly spar just started.

So, yes a lot changed from the show, amber ambush happened roughly around the yellow trailer, and adam was raised by Raven, or at less trained.

It always stuck to me that Raven wanted nothing with salem and Ozpin yet she has the maiden, and the reason why she left yang isn't that great, I always thought there is a real reason, and this might as well be it, she wanted to protect yang and tai, and knowing that she will be hunted down at some point she left.

On the other hand she met Adam and trained him until he decided to leave and fight with the white fang.
