Gwen groaned as she woke up. There was ringing in her ears, and her head felt even worse than it did when she was fighting...Shang Tsung! Her eyes opened wide as she tried to move but found herself held down.
Gwen looked to see that she was on a gurney. Her hands were locked into place as was her legs. it was so hard to focus with the amount of pain that was in her skull. She still made an effort to struggle, Maybe she could-
There were footsteps coming. Gwen turned her head to see it was Shang Tsung. "I should thank you, You disappearing made capturing your..friends so much more easy to capture."
"What have you done to them!?" Gwen shouted. Normally, she wouldn't be this panicked over being captured, It was the same song and dance anytime such a thing happened, but this time it was different. Gwen has such an intense pain coming from her skull, It was hard to even focus on Shang Tsung. in fact, it was difficult to even speak above the pain.
"They shall join you in my experiments. But I don't think you'll be worrying about anything much longer." Shang said as he walked out of Gwen's eyesight to grab something. Gwen struggled a bit harder, but her head was quickly grabbed and lifted her head a bit.
"W-What are you-?" Gwen stammered out in fear before there was a pain in her spine as well as a needle was placed in the back of her neck. She couldn't tell if it was extracting something or placing something in her spine. Gwen began to scream as the pain became too much for her. Her head and spine felt like they were going to burst. It felt like hours before Shang finally got a proper amount.
"The wound will heal long after I'm done with you. That is, if you're even alive." Gwen heard Shang say, but she wasn't really paying any attention. She could feel herself getting weaker and on the verge of passing out, fighting her restraints less. "Y.. You'll..pay for.." Gwen weakly said as she began to close her eyes and passed out. Shang Tsung smiling above her.
Gwen woke up to the sound of fighting. The ringing in her ears was fading away, but the pain in her skull was still there. She grunted as she could feel her strength coming back to her body. Gwen began to struggle against her restraints more strongly now until some kind of monster began to come towards her. She could see it looked like those people in the village she saw with Johnny, Kenshi,and Kung Lao.
She eventually got get free, Gwen could see that she was in some sort of mix between A lab and a prison. Something that felt like liquid Landed on her back. She turned to see what could be called a Tree-like thing that was made of blood and human body parts. Gwen's breath quickened. She had to get out of this place. Gwen began to walk in a hurry towards a door before something roared and tossed her to a door.
The next few moments were a blur to her, the next thing she knew, her hands were covered in blood, and she had knocked over the door in a hurry. Gwen left the lab and made her way into a forest. She ran for what felt like forever, she just needed to get away from the lab. The moment she found a river, Gwen began to wash off the blood on her hands to the best she could do while trying to control her breathing.
It soon hit Gwen that if Shang Tsung wasn't captured at all, Then Johnny, Kenshi, and Kung Lao could have failed in trying to get began to crawl up an tree to get a better look to see where she was. Gwen landed on a Branch and began to look around until she saw figures moving. Her eye squinted and she could see the three men. They had two more people, one from the Village that Shang Tsung had raided before she was captured, The other she couldn't recognize.
"Guys!" Gwen yelled as she landed onto the ground in front of them. "Gwen! Where -" Johnny asked before Gwen suddenly hugged him tightly. "Uh... Did I miss something?" Johnny asked a bit confused as he let out a chuckle.
Gwen looked up with tears in her eyes. "Iwasreallyworriedaboutyouguysshanggotmeandtriedtodosomethingwithmeand-" Gwen began to say frantically as Johnny raised as his hands to touch her shoulders.
"Hey Hey Hey, Calm down. Take it easy. You're safe and away from the lab. We're getting out of here. We're going to Earthrealm to tell Liu Kang about what we found." Johnny said, trying to calm the panicked teen.
"Okay.. Okay.." Gwen muttered as she let go of Cage. The Group began to walk with Gwen following, briefly looking back to the way she thought she came before looking up front towards the group.
