Chapter 53: Dinner Party Part 1
Inside the medical wing of the academy right now miyuki was still sound asleep right now in her bed. While she slept their peacefully right now in a deep slumber. She was soon stirred awake by something as she slowly opening her eyes to get a look at her current surrounding
The winter maiden opened her eyes to see where she was right now. That being the medical wing of the academy as she took a better look at herself. She saw that her dress was replaced by a patients gown along with her hand having an iv drip connected to it
While their was a heartate monitor steadily monitoring her condition. As she wondered what exactly happened last night with the gallery event. Miyuki rubbed her head that was in slight pain right now.
'What happened….where am i?"she questioned before she felt someone on her leg. Looking down she looked to see it was her best friend sound asleep sleeping their. As miyuki smiled happy that she is doing this for her since she did the same for her
But as she sat up right now soon enough someone cleared their throat getting their attention. She looked up seeing mostyl everyone their to her surprise she didn't noticed them when she woke up right now
They stayed in an awkward silence right now as someone spoke up
"So…uhhh you doing any better kid?"marrow asked bluntly as miyuki moved in her bed making eden shot awake
"Who? What? Where?"eden asked before gathering her surrounding before seeing her best friend awake as she hugged her
"Oh your awake i was so worried after what happened last night"eden cried in joy but seqeezed to hard making miyuki go into a coughing fit as she let go worried
Mariana grabbed a glass of water before offering her it"here you go kid take a drink"she said as miyuki snatched it up before guzzlign down the water feeling immense relief
"Thank you ughhh i feel like i puked…did i puke or something?"miyuki asked as some didn't knwo what she did last night
"I don't know…hey you hunger because we got some grub for you when you woke up"razma asked as walking over was eria containing a tray that had some porridge, toast along with a piece of fruit. As the girl was famished before taking the tray bowing her head thanking her
Miyuki took the utensil beginning to eat the food provided to her as she felt major relief. But as she got to the fruit which was an apple it was a little hard to eat which was strange. Though when she was done she was satisfied as she pushed the tray forward
"Thank you but…why am i in the hospital. Is that weird cold i had that bad?"miyuki questioned confusing some

"Well shes had a cold for the past month or whatever"leah replied but that didn't sound right to some of them
"Okay i studied medicine for a bit but…thats nor normal. Did you not get it checked?"Eria asked concerned
Miyuki shrugged her shoulder"no not really i thought nothing of it…why?"she replied as she layed down before she started to cough again which confused them. Elm walked over moving the pillow behind her back making her sit up as ironwood stared at carmine who looked rather nervous
"Carmine….you told me to come over here because their was something going on with . Is she okay?"ironwood asked concerned as they stared at her as the women cleared her throat deciding to prod them into the results
"Dear…i'm going to ask you a few questions alright"carmine said

"Have you had a shortness of breath lately. Even from the smallest of activities which makes it hard to breath"carmine aksed as she thought about it for a moment
"Yeah….sometimes when i get some work done…and well this cough"miyuki replied as she checked something off her clippbaord. Then she walked over pulling out a sphygmonanomter as she placed the cuff on her forearm. Then she began to pump it a few times to test her blood preassure. This went on for a bit as she stared at the results seeing it was low
Carmine checked another thing off her list which was making them all just nervous

"No..i…the disease has no cure for this i…it will cause heart failure no matter what. And by my calculations she has about….a week to live"carmine said which broke their own hearts hearing that. But it made miyuki start to break down crying as she just heard she was going to die in a week. Eden covered her mouth with tears forming as she pulled her friend into a loving embrace shaking her head
'No…no…no. Their has to be a cure their has to be a cure"eden begged but the women knew their wasnt any
"I'm sorry their isn't any known cures for this…i'm so sorry"Carmine said upset as eden consoeld her best friend on hearing about her possible death. Ironwood went wide eyed hearing that she will die soon as the man inhaled slwoly before staring at them for a moment as they needed to get amity up sooner rather than later
"How many ships does your father company have?"ironwood asked zephyra who thought about it for a moment nodding
"We have plenty we could use to evacuate all of mantle and atlas. Along with the schnee dust company and that also includes hayley hardware here in the city"zephyra said as they got what he was implying
"James…your thinking of leaving amity here and instead uses the ships to evacuate its citizens"qrow asked as he nodded
"If is going to gone from this world soon we may need to commence the plan sooner rather than later. We can still use amity to send our message across the world with it benign done. But starting tomorrow we will discuss on having the kingdom of atlas evacuate with the cruisers we have available to head to vacuo. Hours started to pass as it was soon night time in the kingdom of atlas. But above it all right now an atlas broadcast news airship hovers over schnee manor. All of them from varying parties right now as they approached the manor doors with eria sighing
"I hate this it reminds me of the schnee soiree"eria said codlly

They were all in their casually combat gear because they decided incase at a moment notice. If they needed to fight they would be prepared.

Once inside they were met by a variety of people and to their surprise even the help was apart of tonight fesitivtes. "I think i shall enjoy some drinks with a friend before i head off to talk with the council."ironwood said walking off as qrow stood their eyeing some liquor but held back as he scratched his head
"I'm gonna explore the manor grounds…wanna join me my lucky doupleganger"qrow said forcing the luck joke as clover laughed

While elsewhere in the manor right now with kraven he was in his usually attire. As he was ordering his hunters around to guard the manor ground. While he did watching from afar was cardin along with henry marigold joining him since they didn't want the schnee sibling to be caught.
"Man i can't believe you guys are trying to hook weiss mom with this guy"henry said
"Hey its a better option than the scumbag jacque schnee. "Cardin replied
"Okay true but whats our plan because uh…he kinda scares the life out of me"henry admitted
'Me too but let me handle the lead alright"cardin said as he hoped he could do it. Henry nodded in agreement as the two of them walked over as kraven sighed rubbing his temple after he issued out his orders before noticing them

Kraven growled at him before walking past him to do what needed to be done. As this happened cardin and henry both sighed in relief that he didn't kill them right now as they texted the others on their major success on luring in their bait and hooking it in.

With willow right now the women was busy searching for that dashing hunter right now. Stepping onto one of the balcony that overlook the back of the house as she looked to the skies thankfully seeing no sign of the news airships their she breathed a sigh of relief. "God i'm old….what if that man doesn't want someone like me"williow muttered to herself before turning around to head back inside before seeing kraven their with a stunned look
The two of them stayed silent for a moment as he cleared his throat joining her on the balcony
"A little cold to be out here isn't it willow"kraven politely said as she sighed
"I'm used to the cold because…god what did you and caine call me as children?"williow asked as he chuckled
'I called you an ice queen. It seems your children took that unique trait of yours'kraven said making her laugh slightly
"Yes it was…though you have yours. You are the spitting image of my father at times sometimes i wonder if he was still alive. Maybe then he would…maybe then he would get to see his grandchildren grow still instead of that man i loved unplug his life support killing him"williow said teary eyed as the man soften his gaze. As he heisantly was about to wrap an arm around her as she stared at him as he sighed
"Willow i…i still…lo–"he was stopped as she suddenly leaped at him interlocking his lips with his. This caught the man offguard as he pulled her in with an arm as the two of them shared a kiss like they did in their youths.
The two old flame started to flicker to life as they held each other in their arms. As they did they both heard the distinct sound of something clicking like a camera. Both of them opened their eyes before glancing close by at an open balcony where carmen was with the others. As the horse faunus nervously laughed
"Heyya mrs. schnee…i um…it was all weiss idea!"carmen ratted her out as weiss stared at her
"Carmen! Your so dead i'm going to pin your tail to the trophy room!"weiss cried out as carmen stuck her tongue at her as she chased after her. Willow felt mortified right now as winter stared at her mother shrugging her shoulder
"I'm fine with this…i'm off to talk with james and the council on clearing up this little problem."winter said as the women felt moritfed but stared at kraven before dragging him off somewhere in the house to talk.
Well here we go another ship has set sail with someone i feels deserve it. Because i wanted to focus on some of the older cast. But we also saw that miyuki will be dying soon, I hinted at this in either volume 3, 4 or 5 i can't recall. That her mother had a genetic heart disease.
