Chapter 54:dinner Party Part 2
Elsewhere in the manor right now was miyuki who was busy sitting by herself trying to process everything right now. That being she was going to die within a week from the same diesease that took her mother. Along with that she was trying very hard not to break down crying right now but it was vary hard
As she was busy sniffing and sobbing right now quietly to herself holding her head for dear life. She was contemplating the day she almost took her life by cutting her wrist. She was staring at her old wrist scar thinking about it again. Because she can either die a cruel and agozniign death or she can end it quickly
Reaching slowly into her back pocket she pulled out a steak knife she snatched early from the kitchen. The winter maiden raised it close to her wrist as her hand began to shake as she shut her eyes tight ready to do it right now
But as she tried to do it someone grabbed her hand making her open her eyes to see penny standing their
" what….what are you doing?"penny asked shocked
Miyuki tried to break free of her grip but her robotic strength was holding her hand like it was in a vice
"None of your business because right now i hate my life…i should have just ended things back in that dam lab"miyuki growled but penny snatch the knife away tossing it away down the hallway. Then she sat right next to her as the two of them stayed silent for a moment
Penny tapped her knees for a moment then cleared her throat
"Umm miss pearson i was told what was going to happen to you. Your um…best friend told me to watch you"penny said as miyuki scoffed
'What is eden worried about me committing sucide…her dam idea when we tried to do it back in the lab"miyuki codlly said matching atlas citizens tone now as the cyborg soften her gaze. She had a bioscan on her as it showed the girl heart seeing the right ventirical was indeed damaged as she sighed looking down at the ground for a moment
"Look i know i can't talk from experience with what your going through right now"penny said
This made the maiden roll her eyes"how could you because right now i'm told within a week…i'm dead…i'm to die just like my mom."miyuki started with tears forming in her eyes right now
"I…i haven't seen my dad in months…i sent him a letter but i…i might not be able to say goodbye to him. I'm not going to be–"She paused swallowing hard for a moment as her throat constricted slgihtyl but she managed to fight it
"I'm not going to be able to do what i wanted before i died. Their soo much i haven't done yet and now..i..i just have to accept that i'm going to just die"miyuki cried and cried with tears streaming down her face as she buried her face into her knees
The two of them sat in silence for a moment as penny thought about what ruby might do in this situation. Slowly reaching over she embraced the winter maiden catching her offguard as the bot spoke
"I know that um….i can't say much from experience but you can't just give up on life. I know you don't have long which is just terrible. But if i was in the same positon as you right now i would try to enjoy myself and live as long as i could. Enjoy the time i have left on this planet along with the people you know"penny started as she gentle squeezed her like instincts where taking over instead of some program inside her head
"You need to enjoy the rest of your life and accept that their might be no cure. But the best you can do is live…live for the people that care about you. That will be their for you when your times come around friends and family."penny said wisely
The two of them held the embrace for a bit as miyuki became teared eyed that a cyborg is consoling her. But she hciked before burying her face into her shoulder wailing into it for a moment. The two of them held it for a bit till she released sniffing rubbing her eyes
"You know…i have a feeling that AI in your head told you to say that"miyuki asked as pina appeared infront of penny
"Acutally i didn't. told that from the heart and i gave no assistance"pina said telling the truth as penny giggled at that
'She isn't lying although do you want to go have fun. Because this is a grand dinner party for all of atlas elites"penny said as she was about to respond. But running by them screaming was carmen who was being chased by weiss who was busy riding a beowulf chasing after the horse faunus for snitching on her early
The two of them stared at it for a moment surprised to see that as miyuki chuckled
"Wanna help me make fun of my best friend and her partners. Along with the one that stabbed you"miyuki asked
"Hmm i've forgiven him on that…but yes i would like to join in on this teasing"penny replied as they seemed to have formed a new friendship together walking off elsewhere in the manor to find that couple
But that said couple was busy doing one thing cheering up eden who was down in the dumps. As she was busy petting dawn who was a large husky as she layed on the ground sleeping right now snoring peacefully as her ears tiwtched. With the others trying to make her happy
"Come on bear ears i get that your upset on whats going to happen to pearson. I am too but smile"perun said
"Yes because i understand its painful to hear she will die soon. But…you just need to be their for her"may commented as the bear sighed again it seems
"How can i be happy…my best friend is going to die just like her mom. And i just have to watch it happen"eden said with tears slowly slipping out of her eyes as onxyia knelt down gently rubbing her head
"I know your upet but look we'll be their for you when the worst happens okay. I know shes upset on whats going to happen"onxyia said but walking over was myiuki with a smile on her face humming right now which zane noticed
"Uhhh yeah shes smiling…you good over here pearson?"zane asked as penny approached him
"She doing quite well subject omega. Far better after you stabbed me in the chest almost killing me"penny said sweetly as he stared at her sighing misunderstanding this
"Oh your bringing that up…yeah sorry about that. You wanna hit me in the face or something?"he offered as she blinked confused as teasing wasn't one of her strong suits
"Umm i was trying to mess with you….umm did i mess up on it"penny asked as the winter maiden hummed before walking over. Then before eden knew it her best friend from child hood groped her on the chest making her go flush red
"I do something like this because i'm sure bear ears here had a wild night. How are your legs….are they still sore?"miyuki asked with a toothy grin making eden shove her away staring at her for that light teasing right now
"Miyuki! I…i…i..where in public and i….are you okay…your acting weird"eden asked concerned as the maiden sighed shaking her head
"I'm fine. Just…had to get a talk from someone on what will happen to me is all. I may be dying soon but it doesn't mean in can enjoy my life to the fullest. Besides i'm at a fancy dinner party full of the elite. How can that not be an interesting thing to say before you die"miyuki said as eden looked surprised before sighing smiling at her hugging her
"Guess your still gonna look toward the positives like always huh"eden said
"Of course besides…penny you try teasing one of them now"miyuki joked as the girl took it literally. Before she pinched razma on the hip making the girl stare at her laughing
"Hey only they could do that to me. This is how you tease someone…hey grimmy go into that dog form of yours"razma said confusing him as he went into his prowler form as his tail swayed around for a moment
"Okay i'm in it so wh–"he was stopped as she grabbed him by his waist sticking her tongue into his mouth catching him offguard. Though the girl struggled to do it as first as she felt the large tongue in his mouth before pulling back leaving a very large trail of spit with his tail wagging all over the place
Razma whipped her mouth off"alright thought i could stick my tongue down their and kiss yah. Guess not"she replied with a grin as he molted it off with an embarrassed look. Walking over in a sign of defeat was marrow and by his side pana who was laughing as she saw that
"Well good luck trying to do that. Granted i tried to do it in my animal form but its like a suction cup. "Pana said
Marrow sighed sitting down as he still couldn't find that girlfriend of his right now. Notiicng his striff perun decided to ask him
"Hey whats up with you. You seem down in the dumps right now"perun pointed out
"Oh hes upet that he can't find the bunny over here dating my nephew sister. She was invited tonight but unfortunately your father couldn't come. Got stuck with work dear"pana said
"Right my sister who dating him….i don't even know where she is"velvet replied as her ears tiwtched
This made marrow groan even louder"come on! I wanted to see her before i got to work"he groaned but the sound of footsteps could be heard as someone laughed at that
"Ah is waggers impatnet on seeing me in what i'm wearing tonight"cera called out making him stand straight up staring at her in the direction of the voice. But he praticualry flinched at the sheer sight of her right now on what she was wearing
That being a certain rabbit faunsu who was wearing a teal colored sleeveless dress. But it presented alot of her clevage along with her legs in all its speldor. Though she wore a pair of short black heels
The wolf heart skipped a couple beats by the sight of her as his tail began to wag very fast like he had his morning coffee. The rabbit noticed this laughing walking over pulling him in by one arm
"Awww do you like what i'm wearing pana here helped me pick it out"cera cooed sweetly as he went flush red unable to form words right now.
Zane noticed this before an idea formed in his mind. Walking over he offered a hand to eden for a moment confusing her
"What are you doing?"eden questioned
"I mean….to help cheer someone up whos friend about to past. Might as well dance though i got to do it four more times"zane said as she stared at him with eria laughing before grabbing perun by his arm
"I agree lets lighten this place up and make it interesting"eira said as he smiled wrapping an arm around her before the two of them got in the middle of the party. Some the guest looked at the two of them dancing right now with each other causing them to start clearing up space in the middle for them. As perun got fancy by spinning her around in a circle before pulling her back into his arms. Watching this was flynt and neon as the cat faunus laughed
"Oh i'm not sitting out on this come on lets show them how we get it done"neon said dragging him onto their makeshift dance floor as the two of them began to dance with one another with a style resembling hip hop as neon planted two hands on the ground
Then she began to spin around in a circle to the crowds amusement right now. As lazuli and adam watched this with him staring at the girl for a moment. He saw her wanting to join in on the dance as he sighed taking her by a hand
"Lets get this over with"adam said as he placed an arm around her beginning to slow dance with each other as she leaned into it smiling.
The entire hall started to get into a clap with some tapping their feet right now. As some of the other guest joined in the mix right now. With eden and zane being on the dance floor spinning around as the others in their little polymary relationship joined in. as razma grabbed may spinning her around too with onxyia doing the same with velvet
But they all switched partners with each other dancing all over the place. Exeprlty dancing with each other like they praitced a routine before the party tonight or something. As all of them began to dance all over the place right now with the entire gallery in a buzz. With marrow now being dragged into it by cera as the two smiled enjoying themselves for the night wondering how the meeting with the council is going
Right now in the dinning hall they where in the middle of discussing what happened back at the garden opening. Mavtacish, sleet and camilia where their as they were asking question on what exactly happened that night
"I can't believe this even happened james…i thought you said she was safe"sleet stated
"Councilman sleet she is. That girl never harmed a fly in my care along with that we confirmed she had no chimera in her back. Along with that no sign of mind control"robyn argued
"Really? Because right now all i'm hearing is how you let that thing kill people"camilia said as in the room with them was also henry knight and nancy. As the two detectives where their with some evidence to clear her name right now
Ironwood sighed rubbing the temple of his forehead"actually sir i would like to provide evidence since we've been here for a whole two hours now discussing this. Going back and forth with each other on miss nikos being safe"he said
Mactviash sat their paitnelty staring at him before nodding to him
'You may show what you have to offer and i'd like a reasonable explanation"mactivash said
The general appreciated that as nancy walked over with the files that pietro, yumi and asani managed to crack open. Along with finding the unalteed footage. She projected it onto a scroll before sliding it to the three as they watched it
It showed the footage of what happened that night in the garden center. As it also showed footage of pyrrha days ago fighting some husk inside the inner imit of mantle during one of her patrols. While it then showed the true culprit of it being rosemary as the girl began to slice and dice her way through the crowd giggling like some deranged teen psycho
This startled sleet"who the hell is this girl?"he asked
"That is rosemary kuchiskae one of the people responsible for the fall of beacon and the attack on havan. Their attemtping to do the same thing here like they did with those two schools. Where next"ironwood said making them go silent
"Are…are you sure? Because i…why wouldn't they go after shade its alot less guarded than here"camilia said
Robyn scoffed"no they aren't we got forces gahtered their right now for something big. Because if their going after the academies we need to work together."she said confusing them
"Dear what are you talking about…your building the community array for the kingdom. That must be to reestablish the communications in the kingdom correct?"camilia asked
This got the whole group to be quiet right now with ironwood sharing a look with winter right now along with summer who also joined them for this. The silver eyed women pause for a moment before gently nodding to him to tell them as the man sighed
"Miss hill please give me your hand"ironwood said as she walked over using her semblance as their aura conjoined with each other
"James what are you doing? Because your reports stated this was to establish communication all ove remnant"mactviash asked as the general stared at his superior
"Do you all ever wonder where grimm come from why they attack us?"ironwood simply asked to their confusion
"What type of hypthoically question is this…james what are you talking about?"sleet questioned
"Its very important because well….sir we know the true leader of the people responsible for the attacks on the academies."winter said startling the three members of the council right now
"You do! Then why haven't you told us how long have you known!?"camilia shouted as the general chuckled for a moment
"Everysince we raised our city high above to the ground. With the help of an old friend by the name of ozpin"ironwood said as his hand turned green for some reasons confusing them as thay could only mean the truth
"James…why is your hand glowing. Soldier i need answer now"mactvaihed demanded as the general stayed silent for a moment. Before long opening the door to the room was charon who stared at them as he took his seat in the room
"Who are you?"camilia questioned as he stared at the room around him as they discussed this before hand with him leaning forward
"My name is charon graves. Let just say i'm an ally in all of this"charon said as mactvaish looked at him strangely
"You have the same last name as the grimm knight labeled as omega. James….i need answer now"mactviash said getting irritated as he decided to tell them who this leader was
"The leader of this group is a women who has been around for a long time in remnant. Along with that the grimm knights refer to her as their queen for a reason. I want to work together before i decide to go through my next course of action. This queen is known as salem the ruler of the grimm"ironwood said but the three stared at his hand before it turned bright green making sleet fall out of his seat in complete shock
"I..i….james please tell me your lying! Their is no way one women could control an army of grimm!"sleet shouted in fear but charon laughed at him
"The man is not lying…my family know of this women. Were long enemies of her. Continue"charon said as he nodded
"This women is after one thing and one thing only for the academies. That being certain relics of power along with having certain kets tied to each of them. Right now i am trusting you with this information because if i keep secret from you terrible things will happen. Right now that women is trying to enstow hate and free into all of us."he cotninued with a confident look in his eyes right now
Then he turned seeing them scared but he smiled to reassure them"But that women may be on her way here. Were planning to strike back. This tower…amity will be the beacon of hope we need to get all our kingdom together. To strike back against her. We have a way to defeat her…"he paused before facing them with a confident look in his eyes
"Were planning tomorrow to send several of out mantle and atlas citizen with the use of hine, schnee and hayley airship to vacuo for safety. Along with gathering help from our neighboring kingdom mistral. We plan to stop her before she can destory anymore kingdoms. Are you with us"the general said
He offered them a hand right now on this decre. They stayed silent for a moment contemplating their actions right now as camilia stared at him before raising her hand
"I vote that we go with this plan"Camilia stated as sleet adjusted his tie
"I…i must agree as well ironwood"sleet added
Last but not least was mactviahs who stared at the man who he saw was a young soldier eager to make a name for himself right now. As he stared at him a smirk came to his face
"Well i'll be damdned james that a mighty fine speech. I think where all in agreement on this what do we need to do"mactviash as summer stepped forward
"First off lets get tonights celebrations done for the night. Then we will discuss our next step don't you agree"summer said as they thought about before nodding to her as charon clapped his hands
"Wonderful ah though i will add this…make sure my dear sister grandchild isn't harmed. Hes the key to killing that witch"charon said
"Why is that?"mactvasihed asked as the man activated his semblance. Suddenly the maroon colord coated his entire body. As it did they looked in shock as he flexed his hands with sharp talon emerging like long fingers. Then he stood up as his body cracked a little as over his face a hood came over but all that they could see are his deep blue eyes that glowed under a black organic materail
This abosultely stunned them as the man chuckled as he winced holding his side sitting back down in the chair coughing as he molted his armor off
"Dam i'm old….good old family gift is hard to use"charon said as mactviashed stared at the general for a moment
"James i have many questions right now but i need a drink. I'll be seeing you later"mactavish said as they exited the room leaving them their for a moment as robyn sighed in relief
"Thank god we decided to do this on the way here. They took that well"robyn said
"Along with that their supporting the idea your daughter came up with miss rose. I must thank her after tonights festivities"ironwood said with summer appreicaitng it.
"I appcreaciate it but if you'll excuse me i'm going to go check on her"Summer said leaving the dinning hall. They did as well but as they did ironwood stared at his reflection in a mirror seeing his unkempt beard then glanced at winter
"Winter where the nearest restroom?"ironwood aksed
"Oh down the hall and it'll be on your right do you need help?"winter replied
"No i'll be fine and i'll catch up. Enjoy tonight for a bit"ironwood said as she fully intended to. Walking down the hall the detective eyed his old academy partner wondering what he was doing
Once ironwood reached the bathroom he decided to do something right now. Looking for the tools needed he found them being a can of shaving cream and a razor blade. The general twisted the faucet as hot water started to come out of it. He touched it with his metal hand reeling back slightly as he could still feel that with his nerves
Then he plugged the drain as he got it filled up. Spraying the shaving cream onto his face he lahtered it in with his hands to get all the right spots. Once he did he dabbed the razor into the water beginning to shave off this god awful beard
The general began to stroke it down and up to shave off the hair on his face. While he did he occasionally dipped it into the water a couple times to make the razor clean. But what felt like forever he soon was finished looking into a mirror with a clean shaven face as he nodded in approval at that. Draining and cleaning up the sink he emerged in the hall to see his old teammate waiting for him
"Well that why you went to the bathroom…to steal shaving supplies. You conna get court marhsel for that"henry joked
"Your one to talk. I recall when you became a military officer for the police you almost shattered someone entire jaw. For what again?"ironwood asked
"Because that asshole yapped how he would get away with killing a little faunus girl. You know me i hate scum bags"henry said as the two of them talked as they walked through the halls of the manor. Ironwood sighed
"How did we get here old friend?"ironwood asked
Henry reached into his coat before pulling out a flask as he unscrewed the cap downing some liquor which was a mix of rum and whsikey his favorite. As he sighed whipping his mouth
"Don't know james….i stumbled upon all of this on a lead for that swan girl. Now here i am saving the world with my childhood best friend"henry said talking about their past as the general sighed smiling at that
"Your not wrong old friend. I became a general of a military, an academy headmaster and apart of the council. You…you became a drunk dective"ironwood taunted
"Hey i'm not drunk all the time james….i just look like it most of the time"henry said making him laugh as the two began to talk about old times. Their time in the academy along with wondering what will be happening soon
But elsewhere in the kingdom right now inside a heating station down in mantle. Some of the soldiers their guarding it where trying to pass the time with a game of cards right now. As they were playing one them got a fullhouse to the three with playing with them annoyance
"Come on thats the lien i was saving for that new gamestation man"the soldier groaned
"Well thats all the money i was saving for a nice meal at that restaurant"another added but the winner chuckled at them collecting their winning right now
"Sorry boys i won tonight little game. Though you all hear about that diner party tonight at schnee manor"the soldier asked
"You mean how we got stuck on watching some dumb heating unit. While the people of mantle riot down below….ungrateful urchins"an atlas soldier replied
"Hey give them a break mate. Their all pretty freaked out after that grimm freak attacked everyone"one of them said as they agreed on that. Suddenly a knock could be heard on their door
This made them all startled for a moment as one of them grabbed their rifle apporaching the door. They saw the keypad pressing a button as it displayed someone on the other end. That being a spartan soldier as the soilder sighed
"False alarm guys we got a spec op on the other side. One of our own"they said to their relief
"Yo if its one of the cool ones let em in they might wanna play cards"a soldier replied
The soilder apporahced the console typing it in as the door unlocked as they went to greet their comrade in arms. But instead of saying hello a barrel was pointed at their head before a silent gunshot went off as they fell to the ground dead. This startled the others in the room but in quick succession the soldier fired at each of them in a qucik motion killing them
All four of them layed their dead with bullet holes in their head as the sparatan steppd aside
"Your all good watts…get to work"the spartan said sounding male as arthur watts stepped in. As he walked over to a heating control system as he began to twist his rings as they glowed. Then he began to get to work immediately as he brings up a holographaic map of mantle
Then he began to type away on the screen as it showed"mantle heating " the man smiled as he began to slide and tap on the console a few times. Slowly but surely soon enough he did what needed to be done
As all around mantle slowly all the eating units started to go off in the city. As the orange glow disappeared from the sky and the rain stops. Then soon enough it started to rain down snow that was heavy onto the streets below. Noticing all of this was fin who was outside the octopus as he stared at the snow and shared a look with choka as the heating just went off down in mantle plunging them in a frozen winter.
Back at the manor right now near the craft table zephyra wa busy digging into some delicious fruit right now. As she was humming in complete delight as her tail wagged all over the place in complete delight
"Oh my god this is so good…is this whats it like for faunus with their species favorite food?"zephyra asked muching on a peach in complete ecstasy with blake,yang, jake,miller, nadia and robyn their after her little meeting with ironwood. The tiger laughed into a sigh right now
"Hey when i see some delicious fish infront of me i'll eat it up. Even if its raw"nadia said
Blake chuckled"Same here i wouldn't mind having some fish right now believe it or not"she added
'Well maybe after the party we all should go for some sushi after we do some patrols or whatever"yang suggested
"Great idea….though at least for your species it wasn;t hay. Tried it once regretted that immediately"jake joked as they laughed at that slightly for a moment.
"Funny. Though my little june had rabbit stew one time surprised she hasn;t bite that rabbit chick'miller said. But blake glanced over to see june right now biting on velvet ears making her yelp as she ran around trying to get her off her. The cat laughed at that
"Correction she just bit her ears…oh my god that is just adorable"she joked
But walking over joining them was weiss grumbling to herself after what carmen said early. Along with carmen who had a nasty bump on the top of her head right now
"Oh heyya weiss uh…what happened to her?"yang asked
"Yeah because early i heard you where chasing carmen for some reason"zephyra asked with the horse rubbing the bump on her head
"Shes just mad i ratted her out to her mom. We made willow and kraven rekindle some old flame from their youth"carmen said which made them pause hearing that willow and kraven where a thing again. As they stayed silent for a moment with robyn laughing at that
"Bout time that women found someone. Though…tigs i uh…i wanna say something to you"robyn said to her surprise
"Oh um do you want to do this privately or…"She paused as she shook her head
"Nah this is fine….because well you know i talked to my mom recently and well. She wants to meet you along with my dad."robyn said stunning the tiger for a moment. As she just heard her grifliend own parents want to me her which made her nervous as she felt like she was in school again long ago
"Oh that great i um…do they hate that your dating a women. Because if their homphobic i'll.."she was stopped
"Nah my parents are fine with it. Besides my mom making lesbain jokes toward me…the one time i brought a girl over and she catches me swapping spit. She teases me"robyn said
"Gee i wonder who that reminds of us…oh wiat you"yang said pointing at the tiger as blake sncikered at that with the tiger rolling her eyes at her
"Well if you asked nicely i would stop teasing you"nadia said as they didn't buy it
"Lier you'll just tease us lucky for me i'm not seeing anyone. Though at some point i feel like i should"zephyra replied as her tail swayed around
"Maybe we could make the blondie and winchester guy help you their match makers"carmen joked as they laughed at that. Though emerging from a nearby door was a flustered hariett with her hair all messed up. With bonnet snuggling all over her right now as miller stared at the two
"Now where were you two you were suppose to do check ins twenty mikes ago. All i got is a half message from you two"miller said making the ace op blush
"Well you see sir we um well…had uh…well"hariett coudln't form the words as bonnet chuckeld groping her chest making hariett go eep
"We were having a conguical visit in one of the rooms here. I think it might have been jacques."bonnet said kissing hariett on the face with weiss staring at them happy it wasn't her room she hopes. As soon enough the lights in the room started to dim down to set the mood
"Oh i think its starting"robyn mentioned
As they all got quiet for the presentation as approaching the stage was willow dusting herself off. As kraven was off to the side with blake staring at him for a moment seeing some lip marks on his shrit going oh quietly on what those two where doing
Willow tapped a micprhone making everyone get quiet in the room as she began her speech
"Welcome everyone i know that your all wondering why we are celebrating tonight at my family home. Along with that the well arrest of a cruel man who now is facing his crimes for the henious acts he commited in my family names"williow said with some of the guest booing as she put a hand up calming them down
"As you may know my father starters this company with the goal in mind to produce dust for everyone in all of remnant. Along with having one clear goal in mind to create peace between humans and faunus. I know that some of you quite despise faunus but right now i'm here tonight for one thing and one thing only. To take back control of my family company"williow paused glancing around the room seeing her children around the room
"Along with that for the safety of my children. My son whitley who is pursuing a career as a doctor"williow said as suddenly a light was on him putting him on center stage. But he waved deciding to join his mother on the stairs of their home.
"Then theirs also my eldest daughter winter. Who pursued a career in the military who i'm proud of. She is laying down her own life to protect our kingdom and many others"williow cotninued as winter joined her mother up on the stairs shaking her head recalling her youth. Then suddenly weiss had a spotlight on her to her surprise as her mother stared at her smiling
"Then theirs my other daughter who strived to be like her grandfather my father…a huntresses. Something i'm proud to say tonight as she proved herself through and through on what makes a huntress"williow siad with pride making weiss walk over joining them fighting the urge to cry right now.
Though yuri was leaning against a wall before suddenly a spotlight was on her startling her a little
