Chapter 55:Riot In Mantle
Right now after the appearance of someone right now for the dinner party. The main grouped gathered up in the dinning hall as right now they were all staring down arthur watts. As the man stared them down with a hint of disgust right now with ironwood glaring at him the entire time
But for zane he was seething in rage at the mere sight of him. With velvet doing her best to keep him calm. Though nadia was snarling at him with robyn surprised seeing this side of her right now. As they stayed silent ruby stepped forward
"What do you want"ruby questioned
"Ah getting straight to the point aren't we. my aren't you a smart girl…you both share that summer rose"arhtur said directly to summer who stared him down
"Enough of this chatter watts…why are you even here?"summer questioned as he wagged his finger on the other end
"Ah ah ah i think someone should show their guest manners"he said smugly as ironwood scoffed
"You aren't a guest in willow home. Your a vermin that needs to be extreminated…if your here to demand the release of your son. We aren't handing him over and thats final"ironwood said as the mad scneitist then had a stern glare on his face staring them all down
"This is obviously about my son…you either hand him over now. Because if you don't things will get quite serious"arthur said as sleet scoffed
"We are not negotiating with the likes of you terroist"sleet replied
"Oh i'm a terrorist…your holding actually well a terrorist in your mitts. Along with that…"he paused staring at pyrrha who flinched seeing him staring at her. Then he stared at zane who growled at him in rage as several anger hisses could be heard from his back. With dawn and dusk snarling and growling at him as well.
"Those two are my property i request you hand them over along with my son. Because well mantle will be very chilly tonight"arhtur said until suddenly robyn scroll buzzed as she pulled it up gooing wide eyed seeing reports of riots going on down in mantle
"James…james we got a problem"robyn said
"What happened hill?"qrow asked before the other council members scroll buzzed with an emergency services for the heating grid being shut down as the general looked stunned
"All the heating grids in mantle…their…their shutting down"camilia said in shock
"All of them are…their are reports of mass riots breaking out down in mantle for fire dust."caine added in shock as arthur smiled on the other end which jaune noticed
"He did it…he hacked into the heating grid"jaune stated as the man clapped on the other end to mock them
"Good on you…your smarter than you look. Would you like a prize well technically you stole the prize i planned to send…to kill you"arthur mocked making ren glare at him with cardin holding him back. As zane growled slamming his hands down on the table anger to see him again
"You piece of shit! You really think you can get away by mocking us….thinking your gonna win because what…that you have a high IQ!"zane shotued in rage walking over to the bot as arthur scoffed
"Young man would you kindly listen…ah i forgot you removed them. You either listen to what i have to say or this whole kingdom goes down in a blizzard since well eventually grimm will come into mantle. It'll be quite a slaughter"arthur taunted but he stared at him before smiling at him
"Really? You know…we have a direct line to your brats cell…i know who guarding him. I can just ask paddy to shoot him in the head and you won't have him anymore"zane said with a grin making the man slightly go wide eyed
"Do that and you'll pay for it with your life"arthur said but that made him laugh at that threat
"You can't kill me…your dam queen wants me alive. I wonder why…because shes scared…scared of my ancestor almost killing her. Because heres the things watts….you either turn the heating back on or i will personally bring your son head on a platter."he finished with his threat as the man was unphazed beofre scoffing with a smug smile
"You have four hours to meet my demands"arhtur said as right then ironwood drew his revolver firing into the recon drone a few times. It fell to the ground frizzling out as he holstered his weapon sighing
"So…what the plan general?"lazuli asked as he got quiet for a moment as he shared a look with all of them for a moment. Then he came to a conclusion in his mind
" and mrs walker how long will it take for you to gain back control of our heating grid?"ironwood asked as yumi thought for a moment as asani amsked calculated it
"If we have a direct line to the grid we could get it back in about two hours if pietro and merlot help us"Asani replied
"Good. miller get a squad of your soldiers with them to the main control grid along with that grab will along the way"ironwood ordered as he nodded as they dashed off to get to work on finding a way to get the heating grid back on. Then he turned pana
"How fast can you get your people down their to queel the rioting along with protecting them from the grimm"iornwood asked
"It's already done i got my cousin and his two of his three sons down their working on it. Merle still at your base"pana said
"Then i'll call my spartans to get prepared for a full on assault. We'll expect talon forces and gangster down their. I'll call them"artemis said beginning to dial up her soldiers on her scroll to defned mantle. With ironwood then turning to robyn with a serious look in his eyes
"How long will it take us to get a camera up and running for the citizen of mantle and atlas"ironwood asked to their confusion
"James…why do you need a camera?"winter asked as he stared at her with a serious look
"If we need to quell the panic to a minimum….we'll need to tell them the truth. Then we'll need to get started on evacuating the citizens of mantle and atlas as soon as possible. Its time to tell them the truth"ironwood stated to their complete shock as they stayed silent for a moment as ruby stepped forward

"Alright everyone you have your assignment go save mantle. Then we can stop this war"ironwood said as they all began to spring into action sprinting out of the manor as some manta were just landing as they all quickly boarded them to their desiantions for their mission.
Down below in the city of mantle all was quiet right now all except for the smashing of windows and glass. As the mantle residents where all smashing open udst shops grabbing any fire dust available to them to keep themselves warm for the night. As they dumped them into bonfire to keep them warm. As right now on the outer walls of the kingdom.
Several soldiers where firing upon a swarm of grimm with megolaith leading the charge as they charged into the outer walls several times. With that happening their was also gunfire from a small battllion of talon forces along with knuckledustrs firing upon them with miltary vehiles. With the vice vest roaming the streets of mantle firing off their weapons creating panic insie the walls as civlains ran away from them before they could be gunned down by them
While this happened inside one of the manta some of them where checking over their gear right now. As eria was loading her shotgun up with dust shells at the ready. While rogue was checking her grenade shells and how many she had on hand. Their was also onxyia exhaling slowly as she pulled the bolt on her sniper loading in a new round
While zane was staring at the ground mentlaly pyshcing himself up for this. As also with them was cardin checking over his mace as mercury checked his gaunlents on his legs if they have the necessary ammo. While emerald twirled her sickles at the ready with velvet checking her camera for hardlight dust
As front and center was marian wearing something from her youth right now. That being a long sleeve atelsian specifliast unfirm that also functions as a sleeveless white double breasted vest with a teal button and dark blue accents. It had a red and blue collar, a dark blue t-shirt underneath it, along with wearing a white skirt reaching the middle fo her thighs. While the left side exposed while she wore a pair of dark blue compression shorts
With she sported a pair of long blue legging with white lining the middle of it as it reach slightly past her knees. Along with a pair of white fingerless gloves with a rectangular shape in the middle
With her weapon strapped to her back being a ciruclar shield with a compact assault rifle on her hip held by a harness. With the shield having an imprint of tortoise shell colored teal.
"Listen up! We got a new objective for you kids! Because once we touch down we'll be straight into combat! Watch out for any signs of grimm or talon if need be you know what will have to be done"mariana said as they dreaded that
Hariett was also with them"make sure to keep all the cvilains safe we got ground support with robyns shelter workers that are loyal to her. "She added
"Were about to reach the drop zone man but we got a tango coming our way!"the pilot shouted to them in the back as their tango made itself know. As the side of the ships doors where torn open as a teryx screched at them. This caught them by surprise but mairana reeled her fist back punching it in its beak sending it flying out of the ship as she smiled because she still got it
Soon enough they reached their landing zone as their manta ship door opened. With all of them beginning to pile out as from nearby ones the others came out with team RWBY and JNPR along with team FNKI joining them and VRML.
Their was also about four squads of spartan soldiers rushing in setting up barriers right now to queel the panicking.
"Alright i want everyone to take a sector each. I got polidina working on clearing sector 1 through 5. She needs assistance their"clover stated
"I'm on it i may need backup"ruby said
"I'll go with you sector five is praticulary my home turf kid"jules joined in seeming to be on better terms with them
"Same here i got your back red"vesa added
"Alright then i need everyone else to–"clvoer was stopped as the sound of loud stomping could be heard. They glanced down the street to see about four megaogolaith charing down the street rearing their tusk and trunks up for the attack. With three terx roaring as they came straight at them
"I got this"elm said but someone else did
"Nah i do….you guys clear the other sector out. I'm gonna be killing me some grimm"zane said before dashing forward as they let him. With them all starting to split up taking their own sectors right now. As staying behind watching this was mariana, razma, cardin, kobalt, persia.
They watched as he started to activate his archangel form as he grunted in pain slightly. But white spikes shot out of his back as the grimm roared ready to face him down. As he soon went into his archangel form as he skitted to a stop startling mantle residents expecting him to eat them. But this time the bug wasnt in control of this form he was.
As the seven grimm snarled staring down their foe as the megagolaith reared their trunks back. With the teryz staring the creature down that gave a menacing roar directed directly toward them as it caused them to brawl. As two teryx leopard forward to claw him to piece but he caught both of them. Before slamming them together killing them in an instnat
The four megalotiah tried to push him back but he planted both his feet into the ground. As all four tried to push him back to deal some damage. But he roared loudly before pushing back harder grabbing one easily by the head squeezing it in an instant. As he whipped his tail into another skull hard knocking it flat onto the ground as it snarled digging its tail bone shard tip into its skull killing it
The second one tried to jam its tusk into its side to slow it down. But he stopped it dead in its tracks as it brought up its fist slamming it down collapsing its legs in onto itself from the weight. The last teryx screech lunging toward its prey but he jammed his claws killing it mid air. The last megagolaith tackled him sending him flying landing infront of the others as persia yelped backing up falling onto the ground
But the creature snarled pushing the grimm onto the ground as it jaw cracked extending it. Then it bite down hard tearing part of the grimm off chewing it before swallowing it whole shaking its head
"Dam were lucky to have this on our side…mow right through em grimm boy"cardin said as the creature nostril had steam eyeing more grimm attracted to its scent as the creature snarled ready to kill more of its prey
Across town right now some mantle residents where looting nearby stores for supplies right now. With them all exiting carrying out the necessities such as dust and food along with some ammo and guns. But as they did speeding rigth by them was an electric blur as in an instant two of the four where tied up by gravity bolas
"What in the–"the third was stopped as suddenly a blur leaving a trail of feather came by tossing some bolas around him knocking him to the ground. The last and final looter looked up to see a few atlas soldiers along with shelter workers as they put their hands up in a surrender position
Right now speeding through the city street was lazuli who kept speeding through as she fired her crossbow bolts into some grimm trying to attack mantle residnets. She eventually noticed some armed thugs trying to shoot a mother and her child as the women shield them
"Say night night kiddio"the mobster said but instead he was going to sleep. As lazuli came in tackling them straight into a wall hard knocking them out from the impact as she stared at the second mobster
"Crap…eat this you bitch"the mobster said about to shoot at her but suddnely his gun was taken out of his hands. As holding it was hariett twirling it on the trigger
"Hey you lost this….have it back"hariett said before rushing over pistol whipping him to the ground as he fell down knocked unconscious groaning. Rushing over to them was zephyra along with a few spartans by her side along with some civlains
"Alright that two more jeez these mobsters are with them now"zephyra commented
"Not surprising kiddio. Though we got hostels down the street i count about twenty of them"ramierz called out
As down the street where about twenty vice vest members all with their weapons drawn carrying shotgun and bats in hand. They all prepared to fight them off but as they apporahed the street from the nearby alleyway someone else was emerging. That being about thirty people wearing skull mask on their face along with totting alot more firepower than them
As leading the charge for them was thompson wearing a bodysuit with brown lining it along with a cloak similar to his other kin as he branidished a bat himself laughing
"Your on our turf now you two bit gangsters….teach em a lesson boys!"thompson said as the gravekeepers acoltytes gave a mighty war cry rushing foward to fight them off as they got involved in a mini gang war. As he turned around as they walked over with hairett laughing
"Well i'll be damned…guess that perv of a women came through"hariett said
"Oi shes family though twelve o'clock we got grimm"thompson replied as they stared down the street to see about three beowulf making their way toward them snarling as lazuli cracked her neck hoping from side to side
"I got the right"lazuli said
"I got left"thompson added
Hairett planted her feet getting in a running stance"i got the middle"hariett said before bolting off straight toward the beowulf. The grimm snarled howling at her but she speed blitzed it ramming it down the street for a bit. This stunned the beowulf for a moment but it snarled swiping at her making her jump back a few feet. But she quickly sprinted forward leaping upward into an axe kick smashing its skull in killing it in an isntant
While lazuli rushed forward with the grimm raising its claws to cut her down. But she rolled into a dodge just in time as she sliced at its leg causing it to cry out in pain. Then she shimmed her way up its back bringing up her sword driving the sword into the base of its skull killing it as it began to turn to dust
With thompson he was given the go ahead by the family to use it. As he activated his semblance as in an instant a light brown orangiac material covered his entire body. As his hands started to morph into something that being one curved sickles that seemed organic in design. While his face started to take shape of a smooth out mask but atop his head was a fedora to the citizens of mantle shock
As the gravekeeper leaped forward as the grimm noticed its queen long time enemy. But the beowulf howled slashing at him doing some minor damage. But he flipped around underneath it slicing out its legs from underneath them completely. The grimm fell to the ground as he raised his sickles blades slicing it head clean off its shoulders killing it
Once the dust was settled he tipped his fedora as it moved slightly with them contiuing the fight for the citizen of mantle right now
Else where in the city with some of the other fighting off a few of the talon soldiers right now with some grimm. That being jaune along with pyrrha as joining them was eria and blake with adam joining in the fight.
As adam was dahsing forward deflecitng shots fired upon him by talon soldiers. Though this was perfect for him with his semblance. He kept building up a charge for moon slice as they provided covering fire for him with the assistance of the soldiers nearby as jaune had his shield up protecting some of the school kids that he crossed walked long ago
While this happened blake noticed some talon sniper getting ready to provide overwatch on a nearby rooftop.
"We got snipers!"blake called out
"Alright then deal with them!"adam called out grunting as he kept bobbing and weaving through soldier as he sliced one down cutting their aura as they fell to the ground still alive
Blake nodded before taking a running start through the streets of mantle right now. As she did some soldiers tried to fire upon her but the atlas soldier provided covering fire for the cat faunus watching her back the entire time
Blake kept sprinting forward as she aimed her prothseitc hand flexing it before launching her hand forward into the building. The cat faunus focused on propelling herself forward into the building as she launched herself up to it. She grabebd a nearby ledge pulling herself up to be met by resistant immediately
A soldier lugned at her with a knife but she dodged it as they fell down to the ground street below screaming. Glanching down quickly they luckily landed in a pile of trash groaning right now. But blake ear flicked as a sniper shot rang out but she side stepped
The sniper then took a couple more shots at her trying to shoot her head clean off her shoulder. But blake ducked underneath their sniper fire leaping forward as the two of them struggled for control of the rifle. The talon soilder growled
"Dam vermin! Get out of our way!"the soldier screamed in anger
"Fat chance…have a nice fall!"blake shouted back before letting the rifle go then she reeled her leg back spin kicking them off the ledge as they plummeted into a pair of trahscan on the ground hard. They layed their groaning in pain as she provided covering fire from above.
As this happened eria dashed forward using her skates as she skated through the soldiers ranks. She whacked one in the head knocking their helmet clean off their head as they fell to the ground. They tried to shoot at her but she acitvated her blizzarrd coating the area in a thick snowy mist
"What the hell?! Where did this blizzard come from?"a soilder questioned before suddenly being knocked to the ground
"Private what the–"another soldier was knocked down with two more right beside them. An operative was their as they switched to their thermals goggles. As they did they were met by the frozen dancer soaking them square in the jaw with her metal leg sending them flying from the blizzard
They watch the blizzard slowly die out as standing their proudly was eria who smirked at them as they all cheered for her. Though a few talon soldiers where dealing with jaune and pyrrha right now. As jaune switched to hand to hand combat to get up close and personal
He kept kept throwing punches into the operative as they kept blocking his punches. While returning a few themselves hitting him square in the side. But he ducked and side stepped another two punches before reeling his fist back punching them sqaure in the jaw stunning them. Tackling them to the ground jaune slammed their head into the ground knocking them out of the fight as he picked up his shield and sword at the ready
With pyrrha she already knocked out one of the soldiers as she was fighting off another one. As she deflected a hit with her sword as two kids where behind her. She planned to not let him take them away as the soldier and her got into a power struggle
"Dam freak! Out of our way and listen to your masters!"the soldier screamed making her growl at them
"I am not your servant you monster!"pyrrha said breaking their power struggle as this caused the soldier to stumble. But she lunged foward dragging them onto the ground wrapping one of her legs around their neck beginning to choke them out slowly as the soldier begged for mercy but she choked them out as they fell to the ground knocked out
Pyrrha panted slightly glancing at the kids who didn't look afraid of her.
"Lets get you back to your parents okay"she said as they very much liked that but one of them noticed something behind her
"Watch out!"they shouted as she turned around just in time for a sabyr to tackle her to the ground. The red head got knocked to the ground holding the grimm back by pushing its jaw back as it snarled trying to bite her head clean off.
She grunted holding it back trying to push it off but it was too strong. The sbayr roared in her face ready to kill her but something else happened. A lead pipe was smashed into the grimm skull as a loud crack could be heard killing it as it started to turn to dust. Pyrrha looked up scared seeing a small group of the people they were protecting staring at her
But to her shock one offer her a hand as she took it helping her up. With the two children parents rushing over to them holding them close in their arms
Though adam glanced down the street seeing a large swarm of grimm as blake joined them nodding to him
"Everyone clear a path now!"blake ordered as they did with the faunus stepping forward as adam placed a hand on wilt. Then he channeled into his semblance activating it as everything went red as he dashed straight on through them.
Once he was on the other side he had his katana still drawn as he inhaled slowly before sheathing his katana. Once he did all the grimm started to fall into pieces as they turned to dust with the mantle resident cheering for their saviors right now
Meanwhile with some others in another part of mantle where some of them where. Emerald dashed forward as she sliced down a sabyr killing it before it dragged away a nearby cvilians as she panted but kept a steady pace
"Theirs no end to these things are their"emerald asked
As close by bonnet pulled her gauntlet out from a nearby grimm laughing
"Nope but it comes with the job. How we doing over their rico?"bonnet called out as rico was treating some of the wounded cilvians and soldiers. While assiting him was yuri wanting to help down in her home. He turned to them giving them a thumps up
"Were working on treating the injured here but we gotta get them out of here soon or else things will get serious"yuri called out with emerald firing off her weapons in full auto mode cutting down another sabyr before loading in a new magazine
"Well sorry tell that to the grimm and mercs for hire"emerald called out
As holding the line with her grenade launcher was nora firing off down at the street at some talon soldiers. Her grenades sorared through the air as they impacted a small squad of talon soldier sending them flying in all drecitons. With neon skating around twirling her nunchula into a vice vest gang member knocking them to the ground
The cat faunus vaulted over their small barrier they set up as she panted rubbing her forehead for a moment
"Man these guys are relentless….you deal with them before how many times?"neon asked as providing covering fire also was onxyia firing back at them with her sniper. She took a shot at one trying to set up a rocket launcher shooting them in the shoulder immbolziing them. A second tried to picket it up but she fired another shot in their leg stopping them from using their oridance
"If you count everysince my first expedition then me and my team dealt with them alot"onxyia replied as she loaded in a new clip into her sniper rifle.
As they kept firing and fighting off the grimm around them. Suddenly a very loud ping rang throughout all of mantle which got some attention. Their was a cyna glow lighting up all of the seat with some of the citizen around the city string at what appeared on the holograms that being robyn hill as she spoke to them
"Citizens of atlas and mantle. I know your all scared but right now i'm here with general ironwood and someone else because we have a message for you"robyn said
The camera then zoomed out to reveal robyn hill and ironwood on the set of morning with sepia. Along with nadia their with them as inside the news studio. Sepia gave them the greenlight that their live right now as both of ironwood and robyn aura where glowing green
"What he has to say will come to your complete shock and it may sound unbelievable"robyn started
Everyone in mantle was confused and scared right now looking toward their councilmember for her guidance. As slicing down a beowulf with vesa help was ruby as the silver eyed teen looked up going wide eyed seeing something
"Their is an incident and terrible evil that lies outside of our own kingdom. It was responsible for the desutrction of beacon. The attack on havan and meangeire along with the creation of the knights of grimm. Along with that the recent attack on our own city mantle…her name is salem"he started making the entire kingdom erupt in shock hearing these words seeing that it was showing him telling the truth
As ruby had the widest smile on her face"hes doing it….hes actually doing it"she said
In another part of the city it showed perun driving his axe into a grimm skull as assisting him was ren. Who notched a few arrows back firing them into a beowulf filling them with arrowheads. As the grimm fell down with the general continuing
"Salem herself seeks only to vide us. To turn us all against each other. If she can incite hatred into us. Then we will lure the grimm and her minions to destroy us. Her minions are here as we speak with the crimson talon and kncukeldusters being sight in the area"ironwood cotnineud
As right now inside the streets rogue was firing down a few grimm clearing the way for some armroed trucks. Once she was done she waved them through as atlas soldiers all got out securing the area firing at any approaching grimm in the area along with any soldiers invading their city
While across the way was flynt summoning his clones firing a wave of sonic blast into some grimm tearing them to shred. While weiss was riding a summoned manticore through the streets of mantle as it sliced and diced its way through the grimm that stood in its way
But the citizens of mantle and atlas watched as stepping next onto the screen was pana with robyn continuing
"But we are not alone we have someone here to help us in our time of need. Someone that i'm sure all of you will find familiar as they are similar to the grimm knight known as omega. But she isn't a grimm instead she shares something with him"Robyn said
As on the screen pana activated her semblance going into her animal form. All of the citizens of mantle and atlas became in complete shock seeing the same semblance on her just like that grimm hybrid. With her molting it away as she gave a determined look
"You all know who i am…i'm the owner of a local club down in mantle. Name pana octa…real name is pana graves. Daughter of desdomona and slade graves."she started staring at the camera with sepia and her producer stunned motioing her to continue
"Our family is what you might call a fairy tail. Well fairy tails can be real our family are known as the gravekeepers. We are called that because we vowed a certain creed…to slaughter any grimm that stand in our way for the safety of remnant"she cotninued
As in one part of the city was ryker in his animal form on all forms as he leaped forward onto a a sabyr biting into it snarling as he tore it shred. While he did it turned to dust as he glanced by seeing the stunned looks of the citizens of mantle as he gently nodded to them getting ready to defend them from more grimm
"You've all seen this semblance before on the grimm knight known as omega zane graves. That is my nephew he is my sister son. But know this salem and her minion that are in the city. Heres the thing….shes afraid of our family"She said which sparked shock and intrigued among the entire kingdom as she placed a hand over her chest with a determined look
"Because some may think this witch is unkillable…she isn't because right now some of you may be seeing him tearing through swarms of grimm in some grimm like form. Don't be scared because that is what she fears….she attempted to use our family to instill chaos in the four kingdom."she continued before riaisng her head high
"But were not hiding anymore atlas is just the start….we will gladly lay down our lives to protect the citizens of all kingdoms. "She said
As throughout the street of mantle the people saw those in strange cloaks charing forward attacking their invaders. With others in the crowd joining them fighting against the talon and grimm attacking their city right now pushing them back. Then robyn took charge again
"But as for salem and her minors they are the ones responsible for invading our dear city"robyn said as the news program displayed something.
