Chapter 58:Fighting Former Comrades
Inisde the manta where qrow, robyn and nancy are with rosemary right now, the three of them where staring at qrow scroll right now. With even a couple sparatnas in their with confused looks on their face eyeing them right now with one of them raising their assault rifle at qrow and robyn because of the other thing on their scrolls a wanted list.
"Councilman hill your going to need to come with us quietly"the spartan said to their shocked
"Now hold on a second buddy…no way this is real. You just heard what my daughter said on my scroll. Your general under mind control"qrow argued
"Sir we don't know if shes lying because how can we be sure about this"qrow argued as rosemary giggled at this in joy right now smiling
"Its happening….its happening"rosemary said over and over again like some deranged nut case. This caught nancy direction before walking over platning her arm onto her throat pinning her to the ships walls
"What the hell are you talking about you deranged brat"nancy growled but rosemary rasepberryed at her laughing like some manic right now. The spartans in the ship raised their rifles at them to detain them till the radios on their hips came to lifes
"To all spartan soldiers this is your commander speaking. All forces are to withdraw from the barracks along with regroup on the cordinates sent to you. All eyes be advised…i got word from miller that we have a traditor in our ranks. Baker is a talon captain. "Artetmis said making the two stand silent hearing that as she issued her next orders
"All soldiers we are to regroup on cordinates as follows. I'll be seeing some of you down in mantle hopefully. Our command has been taken over'she added as the two soldiers stayed their ground for a moment but they were loyal to their commander. Both sat back down before one walked over to the pilot
"Yo pilot set us down in mantle so we can regroup with the unit"the spartan said as they nodded
"Guess the commander is going against the chain of command. Bout time"the spartan pilot joked as they began to land their ship. Before suddenly the side of the ship was hit by something as the ship began to plumate down to the surface of the kingdom now. Watching the ship going down was betty with a small squad of talon soldiers as she smiled. Because the best way to get to that dam silver eyed teen is to take something from her because she wants revenge for what she took.
Back in the academy more improtanly the general office right now. Team ZERO along with nadia where facing the ace ops as they were at a standoff. As right now zane was trying to snap them out of their trance right now with hope they were still in their

"You've beaten him before honey right?"nadia asked as he nerovusly laughed for a moment
"I only beat him once when he let me out of pity…i've never beaten him or tort."zane admitted making her silently curse as he laughed
'You never will….for our queen"Clover said ina distorted voice before leaping forward swinging his fist straight at him. But he dodged it guiding him away but luck got invovled as he went forward falling onto his face. His luck was always a nuisance when they sparred as he needed to come up with a way to nullify that
As clover raised his foot to curbstomp him nadia tackled him straight into the wall. The tiger growled still tired from her fight with arthur. But she cokce dher fist back punching him in the haw making his head whip back
Thinking of something drag that parasite inside him out. She reeled her fist back punching him hard in the gut making him grunt in pain. As she expected it to come up a little. But instead she felt him grab her by the ears making her wince. Then he yanked hard as she yelped holding her ears
"Dammit"nadia said as she dashed forward kneeing her in the stomach knocking the wind out of her. As she knelt down as he was bringing both hands up to smash her. But instead he was then met by two swords as ice hissed off them. An arch came through as it landed on the ground creating a path of ice
Zane stared him down growling"let him go you dam bug"he said as he swung at him trying to cut his aura down. But clover expertly dodged it before drawing his sword as the two got involved in a clash as the twos blades got locked together creating sparks.
But clover stared at him blankly not even making any emotion. Then he chuckled
"Hes not here….all he is now is my puppet."clover said sounding like lamia for a second as he growled before breaking their power struggle
Deicidng to try something new he went into his prowler form still exhausted from early. But he swung his tail straight into him wrapping it around his forearm. As he yanked hard pulling him forward but clover expertly vaulted over him completely. Then he spun his leg kicking him square in the back hard knocking him straight into a wall.
As he picked himself up clover dashed forward riaisng his sword trying to drive it into his lower back to paralyze him. But nadia came in with her guanlent punching him square in the jaw launching him into a wall hard as he groaned picking himself up
Mother and son stood side by side to fight him as they readied their weapons for their brawl.
With the two cainines things couldn't be going any better with marrow trying to gun the wolf down right now. As he kept firing at her as it also didn't help with two of the five talon operative staying to get involved. One of them was with her as the other went after the twins.
Onxyia kept running away as the operative chased her down with a sword slashing down at her narrowly missing her ears. The wolf slide for a moment before changing directions taking in her surrounding
She knows what marrow semblance does that he can freeze anyone in place. But he can't move giving her an idea as she stared at the mind control wolf smirking
"Hey bug! You probably don't even know how to use his semblance!"she taunted as she had her glaive out. As she brought it up stopping to become locked in a power struggle with the opertaitve.
Marrow growled at her"its quite simple….stay!"marrow shout aciting the wolf smeblnace as he pointed it at the two. But she had a split second as she dragged the operative forward setting her trap. The operative became frozen now as they stopped completely with marrow going wide eyed at that
Then she quickly spun her glaive aorund upward slashing the operative back straight into the wolf ace ops. The two of them collide as she quickly summoned several of her shadow like hands around the room. Then she began to grab onto them as she began to move quickly around the room
Just as she did marrow motioned to keep shooting at her. As the oepraitve brought out a assault rifle beinning to fire repeatly into her several times. While they did a few nicked her aura slightly but she growled as it was hard to hold concentration on this many hands moving around right now
She quickly waved her hands as the hands ddi something. A few of them began to grab objects from around before tossing them toward the two. The objects went flying toward them along with a statue of the academies previous headmaster. As the wolf ducked just in time avoiding it but it hit the operative square in the back of their head knocking them out of the fight uncocnious
Marrow growled before changing his weapon into his boomerrang. Then he flicked it throwing it as it spun around the room before coming straight into her
The boomerrang made contact dealing massive damage to her aura. Onxyia hands then dsippeared as she fell to the ground groaning right now. With marrow catching his boomer rang before leaping downward to try and peirce her skull
But she rolled out of the way just in time as she grabbed equinox handle drawing it. The katana gleaned in the minimal light as the two canines stared each other down as marrow eyed the talon for a moment
He walked over picking up its sword holding it backward as he laughed at her smiling
"You genetic freak! I'll have a fun time mounting your tail and ears on my wall"marrow said with his voice sounding distorted startling her
But she narrowed her gaze holding her sword up high"he wouldn't say that….your not controlling him anymore. "She said as she dashed forward as the two sword clashed with each other at that moment
With the hayley twins they weren't having alot of fun right now dealing with a heavy hitter and someone who can grab them. As eria was fighting with vine dodgin and weaving through a circular area on the second floor of the office. While rogue was dealing with elm right now as the women leaped forward with her hammer
The large women brought it down straight onto her shield. It bounced off but it sent her flying straight into a wall hard as she groaned shaking her head off at that. She quikly picked herself up as elm swung her hammer straight for her head
But this time it missed as she nailed the wall behind her deostrying it. As she needed to think of something else to do right now. Quickly the gem glowed
"Fire a stream of fire kid that will work"ember said as she nodded pointing it at the women closing her eyes
"I'm sorry!"rogue apoligzed before firing a stream of fire straight into elm. This sent the women flying back into a wall hard as her aura held strong as she growled in rage
"Vine! Help me kill this dam pest!"elm shouted out as he was busy trying to catch eria right now. As she was skating around using the ice to dodged and weave through their attacks. As she did soon enough he put his aura arm in her path
She went wide eyed impacting it as it sent her forward straight into a wall as she graoned. Then he pulled a piece of debris up from a nearby destroyed colum. Then he tossed it straight into rogue making her go flying straight into a wall hard as her aura flickered slightly as she groaned rubbing her side. While she did eria got to the edge seeing the two of them approaching her sister not knowing what to do
As they were beating them right now until their leader called out a new play for them
"Yo twins! How about a little bit of a snowstorm and hellfire for monkboy and rootfoot!"zane called out a new strategy as the two of them shared looks with one another as eria nodded
Elm stared at her before switching to her rocket launcher as she rooted her feet with aura roots into the ground.
"Not giving you a chance girly"elm wanted but the cold girl smiled
"Not if you can't see what your target is…you trained us"eria said before acitivng her evolved semblance
Suddenly the entire area around the four was covered in a thick white snowy blizzard. While this happened elm tried to find any sign of her but couldn't as she roared in rage. She noticed a figure pass by the second level firing a rocket into it hitting something as she grinned that she managed to graze her
Although the semblance was still active before vine felt something by his feet then a faint beeping noise. He looked down to see it belonging to a ball like device. As it slowly rolled up revealing it to be a grenade
"Explsoive wat–"he was stopped as it denated sending him flying straight into a wall hard. As the two were separated with him hitting the wall hard as his aura shattered on impact as he fell to the ground knocked out.
Elm stood their stunned for a moment before suddenly someone turned her to face her. Slightly through the blizzard she was met by rogue uppercutting her in the jaw. This finally broke her aura sending her to the ground as she groaned laying their as she was knocked out. The blizzard deactivated as her and eria regrouped
With onxyia she was pinned to the ground by marrow right now as he tried to drive the sword into him. But quickly she decided to use it as she fired a chi blast straight into his chest. This sent the wolf flying into a wall hard as he slumped over with his aura breaking from the impact as he groaned laying on the ground
Onxyia sighed in relief to be done with her fight as she picked herscelf up
With zane right now nadia was on the ground coughing from a hit to her ribs that were broken from her fight early. As clover was trying to drive his sword into zane chest as he looked scared because he can't fight him
'Come on clove….please listen to me"he begged but he laughed at him
"Hes gone…your going to be brought to our queen to be useful finally"clover said but a ding from behind could be heard. Then someone grabbed him by the shoulder as he looked back seeing it was mariana. She soften her gaze before tossing him straight into a wall as he slumped over groaning.
Then she walked over twirling some bolas throwing them around him as she sighed
"Sorry partner i hate to do this to you"mariana said as she walked over helping nadia up wrapping an arm around her helping her to her feet. Also with her in the elevator was pietro along with maria and asani. Carmine was their was as she rushed over helping him to his feet
"We heard the scroll call miss rose made early. Along with that we ran into them down in the academy"mariana replied
"Great…how is it down their?"eria asked as they all regroup
"If you count talon forces ivnading the school and locking the students in their dorms if they don't comply. Or executing some of them then were in deep right now. Alot of them ran away returning to their homes to hide from the forces not even knowing whats going on"mariana replied as they dreaded that
"Crap and the others?"rogue asked
"Well their downstairs looking for oscar right now. Along with that…i got comm chatter from jaune that baker is a traditor. Hes a talon captain"asani said to their shock
"Are…are you kidding me?"nadia asked coughing as zane had an anger look
"I've never trusted that slimy little….gah!"zane growled smacking his hand into a wall. Then they all stared at the ace ops on the ground as onxyia stared at them.
"What do we do about them?"onxyia asked with maria sighing
"I don't know how to return them to their normal selves. Maybe we can ask miss rose for help on that. Wherever she is right now"maria replied
Seeing this right now they had no other option than to leave them. They all got into the elevator right now but zane gave one last look back staring at them as he sighed heavily rubbing his eyes seeing them like that shaking his head.
Back with the others in the cafeteria right now they where involved in something right now. Fighting for their lives from the talon forces as they barriacde themselves with the use of cafeteria tables. With their being about nine of them not including baker who was now equipped with a lmg firing a spray of bullets at them right now
Cardin peeked from cover trying to break but got back down cursing right now
"Dammit! I can;t even break from cover"he called out as they all were pinned down. As right now flynt was doing his best to calm down neon who was crying after the loss of kobalt right now. With velvet holding her side right now
As she got shot early in the hip from some stray gunfire as she grunted in slight pain right now panting. With jules helping provide medical care to her.
"Hold still kid….dammit…i can't believe their armed with anti aura metal"jules said
Flynt growled"why! Because that scumbag just shot my teammate!"he shouted back as baker laughed pressing down on the trigger firing a swarm of bulllets at them right now in complete ecstasy
"Oh that brat was the first the rest of you are next!"baker called out as miller growled peeking up firing a few pot shots at them. As he nailed one of the soldiers in the head killing them as he threw his morals out the window right now as he growled in rage

As they did with shell casing littering the entire cafeteria floor as he laughed handing a soldier his weapon to reload it for him as he laughed at him

But the man sighed before seeing merle on the ground laying their lifeless. As he smiled pulling out a pistol before firing a few rouns into his corpse dirpsecting him as he sighed with a smile on his face right now
"Ohhhh you mean how this pest is one of my queens most hated enemies…its so good to finally have a chance to kill them"baker paused before smiling
"I would have killed that aerial girl along with your daughter cho when you left me alone with them one time"he added which made miller go wide eyed he thought about killing his daughter making him grit his teeth
Baker paused as he tapped his chin for a moment"well i restrained myself for now but now….even if you escape…i'll go after that daughter of yours. Then skin her ears and tail off to get you to come..so i can put a cap in your skull and kill you"baker said angering him as he foguth the urge to break from cover
As they stayed silent with him riaisng his hands for something as the talon soldiers came from the dorms with a six chambered grenade launcher. They aimed straight for the table they were at ready to fire until one of the doors on the opposite end of the room opened with someone calling out to them
"Eat this!"falk called out as he threw a grenade at the group as it landed infront of the talon soldier. The soilders all scrmabled to run away but a few of them were caught in the blast
As with his group was adam, falk, neo, perun along with penolopa holding a large broadsword with decorative symbols on the handle
The women dashed forward as she swung her sword straight into a soilder gut as she seemed to not have high morals for these scum. She dug it out as they fell to their knee with blood spilling from their guts. As she brought her sword down cleaving their head off their shoulder in an instant
As neo sprinted forward bringing up her parasol with the soldiers firing into it several times as they bounced off of it. Pressing the trigger hidden behind the umbrella she fired off a few small explosions nailing them in the chest a couple times stunning them for a moment as they fell to the ground stunned. Then perun charge in with his axe
The rocker lifted him charing up a bolt of electricity as he summoned a stream of it firing it straight into them as they culvused crying out in pain
With adam dashing through drawing his sword as he began to slice and dice his way through three of the soldiers. But on his blade right now was blood as it stained his crimson blade slightly before he flicked it throwing it off as they fell to the ground
Seeing their reinforcement arriivng baker quickly whistled to his soldiers as they took a different exit in the academy to escape them. As jules growled firing off a few shots to try and hit them but they missed as she screamed
"Get back here you dam coward!"jules called out but it was too late as he was gone. All of them emerged from their cover before staring at each other for a moment as they all grouped back up
"Dammit…dammit! That little rat…he played us and i…dammit"miller said seeing another one of his comrade dead as he walked over staring at merle. He saw his eyes still opened as he closed them as a sign of respect with neon staring at kobalt turning away crying right now.
Jaune sighed as he stood up"have you guys run into pyrrha or ren out their?"he asked
"No we heard screaming and gunfire from the dorms. I think their executing students"neo signed with an upset look
Penelope growled in rage"those animals! I heard along the way what happened to james…okay…children we need to head to those dorms and find some of our students. Then get out of here along with securing a transport"she said in a serious manor
"Yeah but what about the others…i haven't seen team RWBY or ZERO they went to the general office"cardin asked as suddenly one of the doors opened
All of them pointed their weapons as lazuli fired a crossbow bolt. But it narrowly hit blake in the head catching her offguard
"Watch your fire its us!"blake called out to their relief as lazuli hide her crossbow behind her back nerouvsly smiling at that. As joining their group was emerald, zephyra and may who panted and heaved before falling to her knees exhausted
"Oh my god…i did not feel like my legs could run that fast in my life"may commented
Falk walked over hugging weiss who returned it as they separate quickly
"We were worried about you guys for a second their. We thought we'd lost you all"falk said in relief. Before bonnet noticed hairett sighing in relief walking over hugging her with a hurt look on her face

With the dorm group they quickly entered the halleway but perun gagged from a smell in the hallway right now
"Oh god whats that smell"perun said plugging his nose as nora peeked down the hallway yelping in fear on what the smell was

As down the hallway right now where several students bodies in altas unifroms stained in red as their was blood on the wall. With their being maybe ten inbetween twenty bodies on the walls. With all of them just startled by the sight
Jaune for once held his puke down but razma covered her mouth fighting the tears as she recongized a few faces being her friend as she began to cry a little

"Don't look dear they'll pay for this. We need to find the others then leave this place"penolope said as she nodded as they raced off deeper into the depths of the dorms to find the others and save them right now.
Back with qrow and the others right now he was groaning right now. As he was slowly picking himself up as he opened his eyes at the current scene before him as he looked around seeing something. That being two of the four spartans in their ship dead with the ships front window shattered beyond recovery right now
As their was also robyn picking herself up rubbing her head as the ship doors where open. With them outside of the ship right now as he felt the cold all around him as he shook his head
"Hill what happened…where are we?"qrow asked as she walked over relieved to see him alright
'Thank god your still kicking old timer…i think where on some mountain from the look of it"robyn said as they seemed to have crashed into a small cliff face right now. With snow dotting the entire landscape as he glanced in the distance seeing the sun starting to set as he groaned picking himself up as he shook his head
"What about the rosemary girl where is she?"he asked as robyn glanced up ahead
"She ran away after the crash happened. Nancy and a pliot went after her leaving me, you and these two as they tried to call in command but comms are busted. Were on our own"robyn said wincing as she held her side in pain grunting in pain
'Stop your hurt…look lay down i'm gonna go check on her"qrow said standing up but he wobbled slightly as he felt his head seeing blood their
"Sir that a bad idea, she has three broken ribs and you got a nasty concussion. Rest we can–"he was stopped
"No you can't that little freak is a nutcase. I can handle her…shes small but her dad alot crazier. You treat her wounds then catch up with me."qrow ordered as they heisated nodding to him
Qrow picked himself up along with harbinger sprinting forward muslcing into it as he ran ahead. Robyn stared at him worried as she sienlty prayed he would be okay right now
With qrow he kept sprinting forward trying to find nancy or the sign of the pilot. As for the pilot he did as he passed by their corpse hearing gunfire up ahead as he assumed that was nancys. The man kept sprinting forward to the source of the gunfire to find her as he did
But all he found was the rabbit detective on the ground as her corpse as being shot into several times by someone. That being betty who sat on a nearby rock humming to herself. While she did she stopped mid hum seeing him their with his sword already drawn
"Well lookie here….their you are i was wonderin if the crash killed you"betty asked as he glared at her
"Where is rosemary?"he questioned approaching her with his sword drawn
Betty walked forward as she loaded a few new shell into her shotgun. But one of them wasn;t normal as it had a silver coating on it as she smiled under her mask.
"Shes safe i sent her with some of the talon. Should be here to pick me up soon…though i have orders to keep hill alive. But for you…"She paused before racking a live shell into her shotgun smiling evily under her laugh
"You don't need to be brought in alive"she added
Immediately qrow dashed forward with his sword swinging it straight into her. But betty blocked his attack in time as the women fired off a shotgun pelley launching her back a few feet shaking her head wagging her finger
'Your quite rude not letting a young women monologue"betty said upset he didn't let her finish
Qrow scoffed"all i'm gonna hear is how you want my head on a spit"he replied but it was the opposite as she stared him down laughing at that
'No…no what i'm going to say is…that im going to use you as a message. For that daughter of yours"betty said making him go wide eyed hearing that as he clenched his fist
"Your not going to touch her!"qrow shouted in rage as he had the intent to kill now which she saw smiling in joy for their fight
Immediately he leaped forward driving his sword down straight onto her. But she anrrowly dodged it with her nimble body. Betty then kicked his sword back making it slip slightly from his hands. As she pvitoed her feet spin kicking him in the side as a loud crack could be heard as she broke one of his ribs
Qrow grunted from the pain as he fired off a shotgun blast from his sword straight into her. Betty got hit making her stumble for a moment. Then she switched to her cleaver bringing it down onto him to try and slice him up. She managed to slash his already spent aura down a bit as it wasn;t that high right now
While for hers it was more than enough to kill him and make a message to that dam girl. As grow stumbled backwards gripping his head for a moment as his vision was slightly blurry. The concussion was messing with his head but he shook it off thinking about his wife and daughter right now
"For them…come on..come on"he muttered to himself switching to his scythe mode twirling it around planting the pole in the snow creating a groove in the ground
"Ohhh your a little scythe family aren't you…how cute"betty said mockignly as he swung forward with his scythe trying to impale her. But betty dodged it easily as the swing was very sluggish as she plated with him for a bit
With her dashing forward lugning at him with a kick but he dodged the kick in time. As he grabbed her by the ankle catching her by surprise as she yelped. Then he tossed her onto the ground hard into the snow making her body bounce up knocking her mask out of her grip as it slide into the snow for a moment
Betty growled as he laughed at her"well i wondered why you hide behind a mask….guess you think your ugly. Seems you are"he taunted back
"Shut up you old fart"betty said reeling her legs back kicking him in the knee making him groan in pain. As she quickly switched to her shotgun firing a blast straight into him as it was a gravity round with her muzzle flashing black
This sent him flying for a moment a few feet away from her. While she got sent backward falling flat on her back from the recoil of her shot
Qrow landed hard on the ground heavily panting as his vision was starting to get blurry right now. He felt it hard to even concentrate right now as an pounding headache was in his head as he shook it off
Betty picked herself up grabbing her mask slipping it back on shivering from the snow in it. But she smiled staring over at him as he struggled to pick himself up as she sighed
'Well….well…well seems that i won't be needing that anti aura shell. I can kill you nice and slow…bit by bit"betty said raising her clever to slice him down and finish this. But suddenly gunfire went off with an arrow being lodged into her shoulder as she cried in pain turning around to see someone their
That being robyn with the two soldiers as she rushed in with her sword at the ready. The soldiers rushed in with pistol firing at her as she dashed foward to deal with them
From qrow point of view he breathed heavily panting gasping for air. He kept cltuhcing his head as he looked up seeing betty easily dodged a punch from the spartan then she drove her cleaver straight into their gut stunning them. Then she tore it out killing them
He then watched her dodged the seconds easily then fire off a shotgun blast blowing their head clean off as they fell to the ground dead. Then it was her and robyn fighting with each other as robyn slashed at her several times trying to cut her down. But betty was alot stronger than her right now as she socked her in the gut sending robyn to her knees as she cried out in pain
Seeing this right now qrow stared at harbinger as he reached over and with the last of his strength he stood up. Then he took one long breath before sprinting forward with his remaining strength as he swung straight into betty side slashing her aura dealing massive damge
"Gah! You mother…fucker!"betty said before turning around then fired off her shotgun as inside the round was a certain caritage. As the pellets went forward they hit qrow in his prosthetic leg shredding it as it began to spark before falling apart from the damage done to it. Along with that it pierced his leg causing him to fall to the ground onto his side as he panted for air
Betty smiled as she walked over grabbing harbinger up as she stared at him because this was the last face he'll ever see. Before qrow knew it his own scythe was drove straight into his chest. As he gapsed in pain as he stared down at his chest seeing his scythe buried into his chest as he groaned falling to his side as robyn went wide eyed
"Nooo!"robyn screamed as she tried to stab betty but she ddoged her strike laughing in glee right now on what she did
"I did it…i did it! Oh…well lookie here my ride is here. Stay here for me while i go fetch them"betty said running away from them smiling like no tomorrow as robyn was about to pursue but stared at qrow as she rushed over to his side. He tore his scythe out as he laid on his back with blood starting to pool out from beneath him staining the snow as he laughed slightly with her kneeling by his side
'Come on qrow…come on your tougher than this…stay awake…please stay awake"robyn begged as he sighed staring at the sunset in the distance right now thinking about his daughter and wife right now with an upset look
"Hey…hill…guess one of us needs to be their for their kid…be a good mom to yours alright"qrow said but she shook her head knowing where this lead
"You will too…come on…come on hang in their for your wife and daughter. Please…you gotta be their…we can make it'robyn begged teary eyed but he looked up chcukling as it started to snow right now as he sighed
"Guess its my unlucky day….its snowing again. Please….please tell my wife…that i…love her….along with my daughter….that i'm….s-sorry"qrow said with a final breath before he closed his eyes forever. As his bad luck finally caught up with him today as he layed their still in the snow. As robyn cried out screaming out in complete emotional pain right now.
With that we saw the death of a member of team STRQ. You may have been wondering why i had all four members of the team alive. This was the reason and its another main charater death. Next chapter will be the last one before we start volume 8 writing session. Thanks for reading!
