"I can't believe we helped the Avengcoons and Spideycoon with that flood. I hope Shock isn't oo worried aboht me." Branchie heard Casey saying. She was soaked to the bone even through her Raccoon Girl armohr as they had helped Spidercoon and the Avengcoons deal with a flood which had bothered citizens but they'd helped fix things so were flying home to their apartment but shivering from the rain entering their apartment but Casey was taking her wet armour off seeing Brandhie running a shower to warm her up hearing her sneeze.
"I'm okay Branchie as it was just a sneeze but it's worth it." she said to her making the female Grootcoon kit anxious at this but saw her changing into pyjamas after a shower still feeling weird needing to rest lying down on the bed curling up into a furry ball making Branchie concerned but making her something to eat after a while, but she wasn't hungry which bothered Branchie but made her soup she could drink which Casey appreaciated drinking coughing which bothered the female Grootcoon sapling concerned. "I am Groot." she asked seeing the female-kit nodding making her worry knowing she was being brave seeing her lying back down in the bed zoning out.
"Branchie, what're you doing here, what if my folks or Mocket see you." Branchie heard Shock asking her. She was surprised waking up in the middle of the night finding Casey's Grootcoon pal in her room until Branchie explained making her get out of bed and dressed grabbing supplies as she left climbing down the fire escape impressing Branchie and telling her where she and Casey lived. Shock was surprised entering the apartment hearing Casey out of it heading to the bedroom seeing her best pal in bed making her eyes widening.
"Shock what're you doing here, what if yohr folks fibd oht you're gone, won't they be mad." she asked feverishly as Shock returned with a cold cloth on her furry head. "It's worth it, you're my best friend and you're not doing good but how did this happen." she told her.
"Helping the Avengcoobs stop that flood earlier." Casey told her weakly.
"Ohhhhh that makes sense but you need rest, meds and TLC to get better. Don't worry I won't tell my folks where you guys are." Shock told her. Branchie nodded as she left at sunrise but returned to her family's apartment relieved Lylla and Rocket that she was already up not knowing what had happened seeing Mocket grin hugging her asking how she'd slept.
"I slept okay Mock, but you okay." Shock told her.
"Yeah, but your folks should be up soon." she told Shock.
For most of the day, at school Shock was thinking about Casey, hoping she'd be okay knowing Branchie was taking care of her like she'd helped her earlier. At recess she was sitting under the tree she and Casey hung out under not wanting to hang out with other kits mad hearing them talking about Casey the bell ringing going inside with everybody else but had created a phobe for her which she'd planned to give her at school only her being sick prevented that.
