I am finally back to writing Fate Generations after a long hiatus due to inconveniences and mental illness. I hope this chapter meets the expectations of those that have waited to see this series completed.
Toshimi woke from a dream of her time as a child, her introduction to her abilities and the day before her training began. She had begun to recover from her battle with Gilgamesh, her body feeling lighter and her wounds having closed. With minor difficulty, she threw aside the covers of the infirmary bed and stood up, leaving the room as swiftly as she could manage to regroup with the rest of her allies. On her way out, she noticed Shirou laying in another bed unconscious.
Once she made it outside where everyone was gathered, she noticed they were all sitting or standing in a rough circle. They were talking about something that seemed serious. Given what had happened to Saber, she hoped they were able to come up with a new plan, though she had a feeling her abilities would now be even more necessary to win this war.
"-attention will be focused on Caster and Toshimi tomorrow."
"Speak of the devil, here she comes."
Toshimi walked up to the group with a faint smile, even more certain she would be shouldering the fates of everyone tomorrow.
"I can handle Gilgamesh if someone can keep the rest busy."
Rider spoke as if he'd been leading the strategy meeting.
"That's what we were hoping. We noticed your wounds began to heal while you rested."
"Even so, are you sure you are up to this Toshimi?"
That was her father, Caster.
"Yeah. I have some secrets I didn't show him today, though I expect he has some in store for me as well."
Caster nodded.
"I'm sure he does. But if you're sure, I think we'll rely on you to defeat him tomorrow."
Toshimi nodded in return.
"You'll need to be careful tomorrow too. I heard you really put a wrench in their plans today when you defeated Rider Alter and the Shadow. The two of us will have their best to deal with tomorrow."
Caster sighed.
"Indeed. With some help, we'll be able to handle it."
Rider spoke up again, eager to fill Toshimi in on what they planned so far.
"Exactly. I hope you don't mind, but we are going to be using both of you as bait tomorrow. As soon as the enemy tries to take you out, we will all jump in to help. If all goes well, we'll even be able to split their forces in half with my Reality Marble."
Toshimi smiled, remembering what she'd heard about it from Waver and her mother.
"If we can catch them in Ionioi Hetairoi then that would definitely be great. My father and I have our own Reality Marbles to use if all else fails as well. I'm hopeful that things will go better tomorrow than they did today."
Rider laughed.
"It'd be hard to do worse than we did today, nothing went as planned except for your work and Casters. Even then it just barely worked out."
Toshimi sighed.
"Don't jinx it, please. It could definitely have been worse."
Rider just laughed again.
"We'll be fine. I was thinking we could have Ruler aid us as well, if things start to go south."
Toshimi frowned.
"I don't want to use Ruler unless absolutely necessary. We have to protect her, after all. If they get their hands on her, the war is lost."
Rider nodded.
"Too true. Still, it's an option we have to consider."
Toshimi sighed again.
"Fair enough. Was that all I missed from the strategy meeting?"
Rider nodded.
"Pretty much. The rest are minor details of how we try to target the enemies once they take the bait. Assassin wanted to target Lancer Alter and we assigned Rider Alter to Archer, whose master is out of commission for now."
Toshimi nodded in return.
"I see. The plan seems reasonable enough."
Toshimi finally sat down as the conversation turned away from strategy and towards what Illya had brought up with Maya, who promised to fill her in on the situation in present time for Maya and Toshimi. After all, there was an issue beyond the Holy Grail War and apparently Illya had brought it up again before the strategy meeting, making the others interested as well, seeing as there was little else to talk about.
"It's a long story, so I suppose I should start from the beginning."
Toshimi and Maya were sitting side by side, and shared a glance as the older magus began to tell the tale of their time.
"A few years ago, in 2047, we were attacked by what we can only call a Titan. I was able to learn that the Titans name was Sefar, and they had previously attacked the planet once before, causing a catastrophe among the Old-"
"Wait, that was 2047? Are you sure it wasn't earlier?"
Hakuno was the one to interrupt Toshimi, taken aback while looking between her and Rin.
"Yes, I'm quite sure. Now as I was saying-"
"But… No, I'm sorry. Go on."
"-Sefar was extraordinarily powerful, and nearly wiped out humanity before a group of the best Magi were able to put a stop to her rampage. Half of the world's population was killed in a matter of days, and we were left with many questions about where Sefar came from after she vanished in the midst of battle. We were able to track her magical signature back to the moon-"
"No way!"
Toshimi glared at Hakuno for his interruption.
"Really? I get that it's a lot, but can you let me finish?"
Hakuno bowed his head in apology.
"I'm sorry, but it's just… I was on the moon when it happened, Sefar attacked there as well, and I was the one to defeat her, with the help of my Servant."
This time Toshimi was surprised, especially to hear of a person and Servant on the Moon.
"How and why were you on the Moon with a Servant? Actually scratch that, how did one Servant kill Sefar?"
Hakuno gulped down some saliva as he remembered what happened.
"Fighting a Holy Grail War inside the Moon Cell with other magi, hackers. Rin was there for some of it, I'm sure she could explain the details a bit better."
Rin piped up with a tone of astonishment.
"I've never been to the Moon, or Moon Cell or whatever, what are you talking about?"
Hakuno just looked confused.
"But… Well… That's why I was so confused about this happening in 2047. I don't know the year, but you were definitely there. If Toshimi is your daughter, the timeline just doesn't add up. I used the Holy Grail in the Moon Cell to find the best reality, so maybe that's it. It still doesn't make much sense…"
Toshimi sighed and cut him off.
"That's less important than knowing more about Sefar. How did you defeat her on your own?"
Hakuno nodded slowly.
"You're right I guess. Well, Sefar came from a planet called Velber and must have used an Avatar like I'm using now to attack the planet at the same time as the moon. She must have created another Avatar when she woke from the depths of the Moon Cell, which is what you fought. I defeated her with my Servant, Nero Claudius as a Saber, using special magic that increased her power. She called herself Nero Venus."
Toshimi digested this information with a frown.
"Sefar was an alien… And there was a Holy Grail War on the Moon… Why does this just get stranger the more I hear."
Hakuno laughed lightly.
"It does sound pretty weird when you put it that way."
Toshimi sighed again.
"If Sefar came from another planet, then there must be more Titans like her."
Hakuno nodded.
"There are. Velber is a rogue planet that hunts down advanced civilizations to destroy them before they can pose a threat. I don't know how many Titans there are, but there are sure to be more."
Toshimi sighed yet again.
"Great. Just one fought the greatest Magi of our time, and though I think I could have finished her off had she not vanished, Sefar killed many good Magi, including even Zelretch. We are still rebuilding from her attack, I'm not sure we can handle an invasion if Velber comes for us as you say it could."
Hakuno sighed as well.
"I'm sorry. I know it's a lot, but I think there's a chance. I have many servants on the Moon Cell with me now, but they are sort of copies of real heroes. They have the same power within the Moon Cell though, so maybe we can figure some way out to defeat Velber if it does come."
Toshimi nodded slowly.
"We can only hope. I don't know how the Moon Cell works, but these Avatars you speak of could be very useful to us in fighting off Velber. If we could create Avatars of Servants, we could have a small army able to help fight Velber instead of just a few Magi."
Hakuno looked a bit shocked, then puzzled, and finally hopeful.
"That could work…"
Toshimi sighed again.
"Regardless, we have a lot to do before then, if it even happens."
Before the conversation could continue, the rest of the group decided it was time to get some rest for the night, breaking off from the group over the course of a few minutes as everyone said their goodbyes.

"Something has happened in Fuyuki."
Waver sat at his desk receiving news of Fuyuki and the Holy Grail War most recently occurring there. He was getting too old for this, but he was the head of the Mages Association now and thus was responsible for these things.
"Toshimi vanished amidst the activation of the Holy Grail, and there was an anomaly with it as well. A second one appeared in the sky, and the temple was nearly destroyed due to a clash between the two, before they too vanished."
Waver frowned and leaned forward, resting his elbows on his desk as he clasped his hands.
"I don't understand how Toshimi could just vanish with the Holy Grail. It doesn't make sense…"
The messenger frowned as well.
"It still happened."
Waver clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"I understand. Summon the Aozaki siblings here."
The messenger left without another word, leaving Waver to his thoughts.
#
Two women examined the Ryuudou Temple for any lingering anomalies on orders from the Mages Association, working together seamlessly while casting magecraft specialized in detecting magical signatures. It wasn't long before they found Toshimi's, and they were able to track it into a void of space that technically didn't exist.
"I found her. She's here, but she isn't. I think I can open up a portal to her location with some time."
"Good. Waver will be pleased with this news. How long will it take?"
"A few days maybe, perhaps a couple. We'll have to break through to the other side of the vortex if we want to reach her."
"Very well. I'll let Waver know."
As she said, the Aozaki sibling in question made her way to the Fuyuki Branch to report in with the news.

The night went on uneventfully for most of the group as everyone got their rest, with the Servants keeping an eye out for any trouble. Toshimi had some business with Lancer now that she was feeling betted, though. She couldn't exert herself too much, but a short spar would be more than enough of a rematch to satisfy them for the time being.
And so, the two stood 20 paces apart and ready to fight close to midnight.
"This should be fun, Master."
"Oh it will be, Lancer. However, I have some rules. Spear combat only, no magic to help aside from my runic armor to make things a little more even."
"Sounds good to me."
"On my mark, then. Trace on. Three, two, one, fight!"
They both took off charging at each other after Toshimi donned her runic armor, wielding Gae Bolg or a spear similar enough to make no real difference. Their spears clashed as Toshimi targeted Lancer's weapon and knocked it aside, but she ducked under the rebounding strike and rammed Toshimi with her shoulder, staggering her.
Lancer followed up with a thrust of her spear, which Toshimi spun to dodge while delivering a sweeping strike with her own, after which she kept the momentum going to deliver a spinning blow with the butt of her spear. Lancer dodged the strike by barely leaning out of the way and then she blocked the blow with her spear, before she pushed back against Toshimi to create an opening as she became unbalanced.
When Lancer thrust her spear again, it looked as if the match would be short and won, but Toshimi jumped high into the air and over her spear, thrusting down toward Lancer but her attack was blocked solidly by the butt of Lancer's own, before Toshimi then twirled Gae Bolg trying to smack Lancer in the face with it's butt.
Her attack failed, but took the initiative away from Lancer while Toshimi then roundhouse kicked Lancer in the shoulder to knock her away. Lancer smiled and immediately retaliated by summoning her second spear and thrusting both at Toshimi at the same time. As she landed after her kick, she then twisted her spear in the air to deflect both lances and the thrust her own back at Lancer, who ducked under it and swept her own weapons in an arc, coming at Toshimi from both sides.
With a flourish, she ducked under one spear and struck the other aside with her own, but before she could get off another attack Lancer came back with two rapid thrusts. Toshimi spun aside to dodge and went for a sweep of Lancers legs with her spear, which she dodged by jumping over it, and she came back down with two hammering blows with her spears that Toshimi blocked with her spear held horizontally above her head.
Once again she swept aside Lancer's spears with a spin of her own, using the same momentum to thrust the butt of her spear at Lancer's belly. It was unsuccessful as she leapt back and immediately charged back at Toshimi with a powerful thrust. Toshimi met the thrust with one of her own, and both Lancer and Toshimi received a cut upon their cheeks opposite each other. Lancer then thrust her other spear aiming for Toshimi's shoulder, only for her to lean back and under the spear's tip. She followed up with a swipe of her spear that Lancer was forced to block, pushing her back.
For a moment, there was no movement.
"Not bad at all Master. You're doing quite well for not being a Servant, but the warmup is over."
"I was thinking the same thing, Lancer. If you want to use two spears, so will I!"
Another Gae Bolg appeared in Toshimi's left hand and the battle began anew with another charge from both fighters.
Toshimi and Lancer exchanged a series of thrusts that deflected the weapons of the other, while Lancer kicked at Toshimi from a low stance aiming to sweep her legs from under her. Toshimi responded by raising her leg to block the kick and was pushed back by Lancer from her superior strength. Despite that, Toshimi was able to swiftly step back into range and waved both her spears outward, forcing Lancer to parry the incoming blades.
Using the momentum from her attack, Toshimi twirled the spears in her hands and the butts came rushing toward Lancer next, but she spun her own spear to divert the two of Toshimi and countered with a thrust from her free spear, forcing her to dodge. The strike was swift enough to land a glancing blow on Toshimi's side, and she winced from the pain for only a moment before retaliating with another thrust of her own.
Lancer seemed to have the advantage as the fight drew on, her superior fighting experience proving difficult for Toshimi to overcome. However, she did not give up and followed up quickly with a downward and upward diagonal slash from her spears, which Lancer dodged expertly by spinning and meeting the attacks head on with another parry. Lancer completed the motion by thrusting the butts of her spears at Toshimi's belly, and while one was blocked completely, the second slipped past her guard and nailed her in the stomach.
She stumbled backward for a moment and Lancer further took advantage of the opening to thrust again with one spear while slashing with the other, but both strikes were barely blocked by Toshimi. Lancer followed up with a kick that pushed Toshimi back and knocking her to the ground. She followed up with a relentless series of thrusts that kept Toshimi rolling on the ground, before she used her momentum to swing her body up and strike Lancer's spears aside with a spin, followed by a sweep of her legs that successfully took Lancer off her feet.
Toshimi struck downward with one spear while blocking a swift counterattack with the other as Lancer rolled out of the way and spun as she stood swiftly, but her attack met Lancer's shoulder in the first clean hit of the fight, and thus Lancer raised her arms in defeat after taking a moment to look at her wound.
"Good fight, Master. I think I'll need the night to properly recover from that, just to be safe. So for now, I'll let you have this win. My pupil trained you well, it seems."
Toshimi was breathing heavily as the fight went on, the fast pace tiring even for her due to the days battles and her short period of recovery. She smiled at her Servant victoriously and then her weapons vanished and she re-equipped her Vulcan Robe to help finish her recovery.
"Thank you, Lancer. You almost had me there. But for now, I will go get some rest. That took more out of me that I was expecting."
"Understandable. Good night, Master."
"Good night, Lancer."
The two went their separate ways as they both went to rest, finding a nice spot within the ruined school to rest. Toshimi returned to the infirmary to the bed she was sleeping in previously, and laid down for the night. Lancer propped herself up against a wall on the outside of the building, still somewhat on guard in case something happened that night. However, the rest of the night was dull as time dragged on until the morning, and at first light everyone but Shirou had awoken.
#
After some brief greetings, Lancer and Toshimi along with Caster and Rin moved out into the city, following the plan to bait the rest of the enemies into a trap. The other allied Servants followed at a distance, waiting to jump at an opportunity to split the enemy forces and pick them off. Lancer, Toshimi, Caster, and Rin traveled together as they moved across the gap of the now broken Big Bridge, taking a moment to look at the ravaged landscape full of weapons and the cleaved Ig-Alima.
At first it seemed too quiet, but then the enemy came in full force. Waiting within Shinto was Saber Alter and Saber, Gilgamesh, with Morgan Le Fay and Merlin. Their Masters seemed to be in hiding, and Lancer and Rider Alter were both missing. Thus, the battle began.
Saber Alter and Saber were on each side of the group with Gilgamesh high in the sky already riding his flying carpet, while Morgan and Merlin were on each side behind Saber alter and Saber respectively. The opening salvo consisted of a rain of weapons from the Gate of Babylon and a stream of curses from Morgan. Morgan's curses were dodged easily enough while Caster and Toshimi responded with their Tracing magecraft, meeting the Gate of Babylon blow for blow.
Then, the Sabers rushed in to follow up and pin them down for Gilgamesh, who relentlessly fired high quality weapons from his Gate at the group. Lancer met Saber Alter in a head on clash while Toshimi met Saber, leaving Caster to open his Sword Barrel at full to protect Rin, who held a diamond and topaz in her left and right hand. Lancer had both spears out from the start, knowing not to underestimate Artoria, while Toshimi held Caliburn and her Azoth Staff. They each parried the holy swords and struck, Toshimi with Caliburn, forcing the Sabers to step back to dodge. Casters Sword Barrel negated Gilgamesh's rain of weapons, and then the trap was sprung.
Toshimi rushed forward and donned the Sandals of Hermes, flying up to meet Gilgamesh as she and Caster switched roles of occupying their enemies, Caster taking up Caliburn against Saber just as Shirou and Toshimi did. They exchanged a few blows and Caster lost out on strength, but Rider came flying in on his chariot just as Morgan came in on her own to meet him. At the same time, swarming the area were near a hundred Assassins, having taken some deaths among them during the previous day, attempting to surround Lancer and Caster.
However, Rider was faster with his role and shouted the name of his Noble Phantasm.
"Ionioi Hetairoi!"
In a flash of light, Saber, Morgan, Merlin, and nearly fifty Assassins vanished along with Rider, Caster, and Rin. This left Saber Alter and Gilgamesh for Lancer and Toshimi, while Hippolyta, Kiritsugu and the young Einzeberns to find Lancer Alter and Rider Alter. As planned, Ruler stayed out of the fight from the start, protecting Shirou back at their base.
#
Lancer and Saber Alter continued their clash as Toshimi approached Gilgamesh, meeting each other blow for blow as Artoria relied on her instincts to keep up with the two spears from Lancer, striking aside one spear while leaning under the other to follow up with a slash at Lancer, who stepped to the side and kicked Saber Alter in the gut to knock her back, only for her to leap in the air and strike with a revealed and tainted Excalibur, which was only narrowly blocked by Lancer.
Toshimi met a storm of weapons from the Gate of Bablylon with her Tracing, replacing her Vulcan Robe with her runic armor and a belt of fur just as she did in their first match. She began a chant to increase her speed even further beyond what she had previously with Aerósakoi, the true name of the Sandals of Hermes.
"Upon the clouds he dances,"
Toshimi weaved through a hail of weapons, chanting a reinforcement magecraft while occasionally striking aside weapons that got too close.
"Through the air he glides."
The rain of weapons only grew thicker as Gilgamesh tried to stop Toshimi's approach, but Toshimi only seemed to move faster as she chanted.
"He runs across the Heavens, Earth, and sky."
Toshimi waved her staff and caused many of the weapons to divert with runic wind, as she had before atop the Big Bridge.
"In the wind, Hermes lies."
The Sandals of Hermes shined and changed into golden winged boots, and Toshimi's speed increased exponentially. She swerved and dodged the incoming weapons without even having to raise a hand or trace a counter, and Gilgamesh immediately knew she was going to get close enough to strike. So instead of further attacking with the Gate of Babylon, he called forth his Vimana and cast aside his flying carpet, sitting upon the throne as he directed his vehicle to create distance between himself and Toshimi. Even with her increased speed, the Vimana was able to barely escape her swift approach, allowing for him to resume targeting her with the Gate of Babylon, though she continued to dodge with relative ease.
Toshimi began to shoot off weapons of her own, matching the ones Gilgamesh was sending her way but on different courses, so she dodged as Gilgamesh began to do the same with her weapons, turning the battle into and dogfight in the sky. The battle continued to be a stalemate for near thirty seconds as she began a new chant.
"The time to select the King has come."
"To be wielded by the chosen,"
"And chosen by the wielder."
"The finest blade the world has ever seen,"
"To be held by the finest King."
"Born by the Sun and blessed by flame,"
"The sword eternally remains."
"Now, the time to select the King has come."
Calburn began to shine in Toshimi's hand, releasing a bright red light.
"The Sword of Kings lived on through history,"
"Only to be broken in disgrace."
"Reforged by the flames of indomitable will,"
"The holy sword shines now until the end of time."
"The rightful King has been crowned again."
The light increased dramatically and then subsided, revealing a sword that was still shaped like Caliburn, but the colors were different. Where Caliburn was gold and blue, this sword was silver and red. Additionally, the blade was a pure white and the gem in the pommel was orange. This sword was Ignis, a weapon that was both a reinforcement of Caliburn and the most powerful weapon in Toshimi's arsenal, beyond even Excalibur if used properly.
Gilgamesh could feel the air heat up in response, despite the distance between them, and he soon began to sweat. He clicked his tongue in annoyance and pulled out from his gate the Sword of Rupture, Ea, though he did not yet use it. Toshimi then shouted the name of the Boots of Hermes and her speed doubled even further, allowing her to gain on his Vimana and would close the distance in seconds.
"Aerósakoi!"
A burst of wind surrounded Toshimi as she flew, and the Gate of Bablyon could not pin her down at all, causing Gilgamesh to stop his assault and turn to face her. In a matter of seconds, their heated clash would truly begin.
#
Meanwhile, Lancer and Saber Alter met in another series of mutual strikes, parrying and dodging each others blows as they seemed to dance gracefully across the battlefield.
While Saber struck aside one spear in one motion and the other in a swift second, Lancer used her superior range to keep Artoria on the defensive for the most part in a stalemate of their own. Try as she might Saber just couldn't move fast enough against the dual wielded weapons, and so she had to change her plan of attack and begin to unleash Excalbur's true might. The sword lit up with dark magical energy and in a final clash pushed Lancer back several feet, allowing her to follow up with a swift stab that send a beam of darkness at Lancer.
Lancer was barely able to roll aside and try to close the distance once again, only for the group of Assassins to close in and try to keep her pinned down with sheer numbers. They each held weapons of various shapes and sizes, and swarmed Lancer. Taking a deep breath, she was forced to stop her pursuit of Saber Alter and take care of the Assassins.
Lancer brained one with her spear as the others moved in to try and take advantage, only for her to slash with her second spear and cut down two more Assassins with a single strike. More came from behind and to each side, but she spinned and slash low and high, taking out three more and catching another on the shaft of the spear and knocking him to the ground.
Another group of Assassins came from above, and one got a dagger into her shoulder while she struck at the others, but they were able to avoid casualties from her arcing blade. She rolled forward and thrust her spear into another Assassin, breaking his weapon and impaling him through the chest, after which she spun and threw the dying foe at his counterparts and swept aside another three with another spinning strike.
The numbers were overwhelming and thus Lancer was at a disadvantage while Saber Alter rejoined the fray, Excalibur still glowing ominously. Lancer changed focus to her as she blocked a downward strike from the dark knight, targeting another series of Assassins that took advantage of her divided attention. While she struck down two more with a couple quick jabs to the chest, they also snuck in their own blades and cut across her left arm with their daggers.
"I guess there's no holding back here…"
Despite the battle going poorly for her, she seemed to still be enjoying it as she swept her spears in a wide outward arc and almost seemed to bow as five more spears appeared above her head, floating as if held in hand. With the seven spears her counterattack began, stabbing and swiping at the incoming Assassins with the five while her main two spears were focused upon Saber Alter, bringing the fight back into a stalemate as the Assassins began to drop like flies.
Lancer killed ten more within seconds as they began to back off, but the five spears pursued them even still up to several meters away, separating somewhat from Lancer as she continued to clash with Artoria. Despite her wounds she was still able to keep up with Saber Alter, though she was mostly on the defensive in a reversal from the start of the fight.
Artoria struck with force that kept Lancer on her toes, and while she was pushed back, she was able to strike aside Excalibur each time. It didn't last, however, as Saber Alter began to release more of Excaliburs power as the fight went on, and soon she managed to slice through one of her spears cleanly and into Scathach's already wounded shoulder.

Toshimi closed the gap between herself and Gilgamesh in a flash, Ignis meeting Ea in a clash of wild white and red explosive magical energy. Toshimi followed up with a swipe of her staff that knocked Gilgamesh across the head and off his throne, but he quickly regained his footing before hitting the ground and thrust Ea as it began to spin at Toshimi, who spun out of the way as a wave of space-time erupted from Ea beside her. Ignis began to glow with white flames across the blade, which spread out and surrounded Gilgamesh who called upon the Chains of Enkidu to meet the flames, snuffing them out as if able to suppress the magic within.
Gilgamesh struck horizontally with Ea as it's spin increased further, releasing another wave of space-time in a sweeping arc. Toshimi countered with Ignis and cut the wave in two and shot forth weapons she copied from Gilgamesh earlier as he opened his Gate of Bablyon to meet them. Steel clashed with sounds like gunfire as their clash heated up, and his Sword of Rupture charged to the final stage of power as he thrust it point blank at Toshimi, who was able to knock the weapon aside with Ignis and divert the massive wave of energy to the side as a hole was opened in the fabric of the world they resided in.
Outside this pocket reality they fought in, Ea's attack destroyed an entire street corner in the real world, killing many innocents. Even without speaking the words of Enuma Elish, it could rip through the fabric of reality. However, that strike also opened up a hole that Aoko Aozaki and her sister Touko were able to insert an anchor of magical energy into that both stabilized the breach and began to create a path for them to enter.
As the fight went on, Gilgamesh would quite possibly begin to destroy Fuyuki in it's entirety.
To prevent that, Toshimi would be forced to meet Ea head on, and thus she needed a further layer of reinforcement upon her weapon to hope to match up to it. Thus, she began chanting again as their battle raged on.
"Let there be light."
"Light of Heaven, Hell, and Earth."
"The light that illuminates all darkness."
"The Sword of Kings blazes radiantly,"
As she spoke, the white flames surrounding Ignis began to grow, clashing again against Ea as the shockwave shattered reality around them for a brief moment, once again causing destruction in the real world's Shinto.
"Transcended by the hopes of all humanity."
"Cast from the Heavens and born again,"
"The incarnation of light descended,"
"And rose to become a God."
"Return everything into light, Herald of Creation and Destruction!"
Ignis increased in size within Toshimi's hand, growing to a size so massive that it was roughly half the size of Ig-Alima, yet was still wielded in one hand.
The clash of the new form of Ignis and Ea knocked Gilgamesh and his Vimana down, crashing to the ground. It took a few seconds to recover, but Gilgamesh stood upon his crash landed Vimana in a fury.
"This cannot be! What abomination have you brought into this world, human!?"
Toshimi took a deep breath and raised her massive sword above her head, radiating wild white flames that began to expand and extend the sword to a size rivaling Ig-Alima.
"This sword is of my own creation, a blueprint etched upon the Sword of Kings. It's true name will silence even Ea! This is the blade that nearly killed a Titan. This is the end, Gilgamesh!"
The flames along her sword began to dance and shoot off flares as if it where the sun itself, laying waste to and entire block of the ruined Shinto with each burst.
Gilgamesh growled and raised Ea as rubble began to revolve around him, and he spoke the name of his most powerful attack.
"Enuma Elish!"
Toshmi countered with her own, speaking the true name of her weapon with ferocity.
"Ignis Gloria!"
White enveloped the sky as the flames in the shape of a sword gathered and erupted down at Gilgamesh and Enuma Elish, quickly meeting in a clash that shook the ground for miles around, just as the last time the two clashed with their powerful weapons. However, this time, Enuma Elish was pushed back, albeit slowly, and Gilgamesh began to panic. In before the light of Ignis Gloria could envelope him too, the sheer power of the clashing weapons canceled each other out.
Toshimi was breathing harshly, having used nearly triple the power of Excalibur or Mjolnir in a single blow. Meanwhile below, Gilgamesh was fuming. Ea was supposed to be the most powerful weapon in existence, but its power was matched by a weapon created by a mere human, no matter the sliver of divinity she possessed. Was there no limit to the power this mongrel possessed? He couldn't believe it. It shouldn't have been possible.
Toshimi began to recover, but she was likely unable to use the full force of Ignis Gloria again for some time. Even still, she proved her worth and ability to counter Gilgamesh, even if it was to an even match instead of victory. If she could hold out until the others took out their opposition, that was still a win overall. Once Caster rejoined them, they could overtake Gilgamesh together, even if it would be difficult.
"It seems we're an even match, King of Heroes. This will only continue until our allies return, though I am confident my father will win. Thus, you will eventually lose. Your resistance will only delay the inevitable."
With fury in his voice, he yelled back at Toshimi.
"This isn't over, human! I will defeat you! You may be powerful, but you are still a mere human! It may take some effort, but you will lose this war!"
Toshimi laughed shakily as her breath began to stabilize.
"We shall see, Gilgamesh. But until then, we shall continue this dance until the stalemate is broken."
Gilgamesh's Vimana took the the skies once again as their battle began anew, Toshimi once again closing the distance through a storm brought by the Gate of Babylon. Their clash would continue as long as nobody else interfered.
Elsewhere, within Ionioi Hetairoi, another battle was unfolding that would decide the outcome of the battles outside.
