Meet Tyson, the son of Tai Lung. After the redemption of his family and friends, Tyson wants to create a team of young kung fu masters but feels put down for merely being a child. Rounding up his friends to create the largest kung fu army in China, Tyson embraces his role as the defender of both China and the world.

42. Chapter 42: Axe

Axe is Master Storming Ox's son. He has dark blue fur, brown horns that point backward, and red eyes.

Axe is taken to the Jade Palace to train in Kung Fu. Axe advances quickly in the martial art and proves to be a relentless fighter, impressing the masters with his strength and long-lasting stamina. Despite his rising skills, Axe felt left out by his father, believing it was because of his odd horns. Regardless, Axe was accepted as a member of The Dragon Knights.

Axe is very relentless and merciless in battle. He is easily angered and hot-tempered, especially when someone calls him a "Cow". He especially hates it when one of his friends gets hurt. When not on the battle field or training course, Axe is laid back, relaxed, and friendly. He does have a habit of overeating but always tries to share his food, as shown offering Tayra a piece of his noodles, which she politely but disgustingly rejects. He is also polite and well mannered around the older masters.

Axe is shown to have a close but strained relationship with his father, believing it was because of his horns. However, the two share a prideful reunion in the season finale.

Axe is close friends with Cloud and Nyla.

Axe is good friends with Arvon as shown fist bumping him (gently) when he greets him.

Trivia:

Axe is named after his father's weapon of choice.

As stated and demonstrated by Scarlett, Axe's horns' shape makes it difficult for an enemy to lasso them and pull him down. She might have been referencing the fight her father, Shen and Ox had in Kung Fu Panda 2.

Like Cloud, Axe also fights with his father's weapon choice.
