"Think fast team!" Lynn shouted. tossing over several bags she brought from the Burpin' Burger. All her teammates caught one and began munching on their victory food. One teammate in particular held off on eating. She was in the middle of changing out of her uniform. She had light brown skin and black hair with pink highlights. Some classmates knew her as "Highlights QT". But her teammates knew her as.

"Yo! Hannah!" She turned to the voice. Lynn was standing right behind her. "Nice work out there. That kick of yours was amazing. didn't think you had it in you!" Lynn said. Hannah nervously smiled at the praise. She finished putting on her violet sweater and closed her locker. She grabbed her food and left the locker room. Walking down the hallways of the stadium, she made a quick stop at the water fountain to hydrate and then resumed her trek. Upon exiting the stadium, she sat down and waited for her mom to come pick her up. She continued munching on her burger, pulling out a book from her bag and reading it to pass the time. As she turned to the next page, something entered her peripheral vision. She fully tilted her head to the side. Her mouth shaped into an O-shape and a pink hue appeared on her cheeks as her eyes landed on a white haired boy.

She had seen that boy before. Lincoln Loud. Little Brother of the captain of her team. Hannah seemed to have a longing look on her face as she starred at the ash blond boy. She dug into her bag and pulled out something. an envelope with a heart on it. With the initials "L.L." on it. Her eyes kept darting back and forth at the letter and the boy. She had gotten the letter from him and ever since, she has been unable to take her mind off of him.

Well, ok. saying she "got the letter from him" was kind of a stretch. She found the letter and then deduced it was him.

How?

It all started a few months ago. prior to the new year of Middle School. She had been at Gus' Games and Grub after a long day of training with Lynn. It was no secret that the 5th born loud could be absolutely ruthless with her training. Gus' was a good place to unwind after a long day of having to deal with that. the atmosphere was also surprisingly chill. with made it a perfect spot for her to catch up on her literature. She smiled as her eyes followed the words of her book. she was so engrossed she didn't seem to notice the orange haired girl walking past her table.

She had quickly lost track of time until she got a text from her mother. She packed her book and got up from her seat when she felt something under her shoe. She looked down and saw a letter.

"Was...Was that there before?" Hannah wondered. She picked up the letter and looked around. She didn't see anyone walk past her. And the establishment was looking a bit more empty than when she got there. She took a good look at the letter. It had hearts on it. And it had initials.

"Who is...L.L.?" She wondered as she inspected the envelope. She did know one L.L. or 11 L.L.'s. Lynn Loud and her Family all had the same initials. Did Lynn leave this here? couldn't be. She's not here.

Hannah debated on whether or not to open the envelope. But not having the slightest idea what else to do with it. Her curiosity ultimately got the better of her. She gently opened the envelope and pulled out the paper within. She read it carefully.

In the arcade's glow, amidst flashing lights,

You caught my eye, shining bright.

Your gaze, it set my heart alight,

In that moment, everything felt just right.

The way you move behind the Dance Machine.

I just kept staring. it was so clean.

The way your colorful haired swayed.

I was in a trance. i couldn't look away.

With this letter In ink, I pour my thoughts and my vibe.

Hoping you'll read, and perhaps decide.

So here I am, with this poem I've penned,

My feelings for you, I 've decided to send.

Though nervous and shy, I won't pretend,

Just being near you, i can feel myself ascend.

-L.L.

(Authors Note: Sorry if that doesn't sound right. I'm not good at coming up with poems.)

By the time her eyes had landed on the final line, Hannah's mouth hung slightly open. She looked around again to see who's letter this could be, but there was none that she recognized there. She looked at the letter one more time. reading each line carefully. Though she never really openly discussed this with her friends, Hannah was a sucker for poems. she didn't exactly hide it. but it wasn't something that came up in conversation very often and it was mainly something she did when she wasn't training.

She didn't seem to notice the blush that was slowly creeping on her face. The lines were kinda cheesy, But she could tell that whoever wrote this put all they had into it. But then she thought about it again. Who wrote this.

L.L.

That only narrowed it down to Lynn Loud and her siblings. Lynn was known for gagging at her teammates anytime they did something romantic, so that was a no go. Maybe another one of her siblings did it. But who?

Another day, Another training regimen. Hannah but her bag down and began changing into her soccer uniform. She grabbed her t-shirt and her eyes briefly landed on her backpack. specifically, the envelope sticking out of it. Two days had passed since she found it and she still hadn't figured out who left it near her. One thing was for certain, the letter had more of an effect on her than she had anticipated. She kept reading it in her bed, imagining who could've possible written such a cheesy yet heartfelt letter to express their feelings.

Was the person shy? Maybe so. They weren't brave enough to put a name. but still brave enough to write their feelings in a letter.

"So yeah. That went nowhere." Hannah snapped out of her thoughts and glanced at her team leader talking to her right hand woman.

"Lynn, come on. I'm sure if you try again, he will give you a shot." Margo said to her friend. Lynn closed her locker and rolled her eyes.

"Look. I told you. I'm not upset at the rejection. besides. i don't feel anything for him anymore. i think i was just dehydrated." Lynn said. Margo squinted her eyes.

"Dehydrated?"

"Yes. Those feelings completely disappeared after i had a bottle of water. besides. I'm not the only one who's confession went nowhere. I didn't hear anything Lucy, Lana, Lola or Lisa." Lynn countered.

"Yeah, but aren't they too young to feel love?" Margo asked. To which Lynn simply shrugged.

"Oh. What about your brother? He sent a love letter to right?" Margo continued.

"Yeah. But Lincoln told us she hasn't responded yet." That caught Hannah's attention.

"Who is her pursuing?" Margo asked.

"Some chick at Gus' Games and Grub. I don't remember if Lincoln told me her name." Hannah raised an eyebrow.

"All i know is that he likes her hair color..." Hannah checked the highlights on her hair.

"And that he's awestruck by how well she can play DDR." Hannah tapped her foot. She wasn't exactly leaderboard levels of good at DDR. But thanks to her training, DDR wasn't as exhausting of a game to her as it would've been to most people.

Could...Lincoln have written that letter?...Was it for her?

Months had passed and the new year of Middle School started. ever since she had gotten the letter, she had been keeping a close eye on the boy.

He was pretty easy on the eyes. With easily identifiable white hair. She wondered if he dyed it that color. She asked Lynn once. But Lynn told her he was born with it. What are the odds of that.

She also payed attention to the way he carried himself. Just like Lynn frequently said, he was a massive dork. But it wasn't the embarrassing kind. He seemed to be the kind of dork that fully embraced it. It was something she could admire.

One day, she had taken the bus as usual and taken her usual seat. She was about to pull out her book to pass the time until she heard the door of the bus open. There he was, he and his friends had entered the bus. Lincoln was looking very confident today. If was kind of cute. He complimented Ernie on the new seat and then made his way to his usual seat. Hannah couldn't take her eyes off of him.

"Hey, everybody! Finally Friday, am I right?" Lincoln cheered with a smile to his friends.

"Or Or should I say, Fri-yay?" He said while pointing confidently. God, he was such a dork. His next move caught Hannah by surprise. He slid next to her seat and then pointed at her with a smile.

"This girl knows what I'm talking about!" He said. Hannah looked him in the face with a surprised expression. She had a good view off his face. Those freckles, that chipped tooth. Those blue eyes that were pulling her in. She quickly snapped out of her trance and tried to play it off.

"I do! I do know what he's talking about!" She chuckled while looking around nervously with a blush. The rest of the bus ride seemed relatively calm until she saw 3 figures looming over him. She knew those 3. they frequently bullied those who tried to sit back in the bus. Hannah watched as Lincoln tried to reason with them. But to no avail. And she cringed when those failed attempts resulted in him and his friends getting a wedgie.

days had passed and she noticed Lincoln and his friends did not take the bus. It was kind of a shame. She really liked seeing him. However, that wasn't the only sad part. After they stopped showing up, the bus bullies soon started targeting other students. even if they didn't go anywhere near the backseats. Hannah herself had been a victim of this and her training with Lynn didn't prepare her for the wedgie she had gotten that day.

The day that followed whoever, was what truly sold her on the cutie dork that is Lincoln Loud. After catching wind of what the bullies were doing during his absence. he decided he had enough and decided to confront them. He didn't back down. Of course, at first they didn't take him seriously. But then he did something that somehow hadn't occurred to the others.

He rallied everyone in the bus against them. The bullies watched in horror as Lincoln pointed to all the angry students who had been the victims of their bullying. could they really take on the entire bus?

no. they could not. they quickly backed down. the entire bus cheered. Hannah looked at Lincoln, who was busy celebrating by high-fiving his friends. She smiled as she watched the exchange. She looked down at her book. In it was a sketch of the boy that she had made.

...Adorable.

...Dorky.

...Knew to make people smile.

...Brave.

She looked at the letter she had been keeping for months. Was she. was she really starting to feel something for him?

Returning to the present, Hannah slowly approached the boy's locker. She looked around to make sure he wasn't there and then pulled out an envelope. It had a heart on it, but it wasn't the same envelope she got from him. No this was one she wrote. The initials had "H. Q.T." written on them instead of "L.L."

Thoughts began to weight in on her mind. She had gotten that letter months ago. Would he still feel the same way? maybe he moved on. maybe this was pointless. But she quickly shook those thoughts out of her head. She wasn't gonna know until she tried.

She blushed at the letter and then snuck it into the locker hole. She heard a voice coming from the hallways and quickly darted away from the lockers. She hid behind the wall and peeked her head as she watched Lincoln open his locker. He took out the envelope she had place and began reading it. Her heart began pounding as he read through what she wrote. He closed the letter and looked around. Hannah retreated for a bit but then peeked her head out again to see him stuffing the letter in his pocket. He looked surprised and seemed to have a blush on his face. Hannah smiled and held a hand on her chest.

It seemed things were off to a good start. she just had to continue and see if this would lead to something beautiful. She grabbed the letter from her beg and then held it tightly to her chest.

It was crazy that this letter led to her feeling this way...
