Spiralling Fog Prologue
Naruto had stood up to many things in his life, A giant sand racoon demon, his best friend trying to murder him, a snake pedophile who tried to take over his best friend's body, a group of thirteen S Rank guys after people like him to dominate the world, the man who was his father student and made his life a living hell fater killing his parents by unleashing the Nine-Tails, a reanimated corpse who rivaled the First Hokage. He never thought he'd face the goddess of all Chakra with his now-restored team seven.
The blonde shinobi was many things, unpredictable, a knucklehead, stubborn, and a dumbass that never gave up but the signs were there that he wouldn't be able to save Sasuke. He had clashed so many times trying to bring his friend back to the light and he now knew it was impossible, not he knew for a while... He just didn't want to accept it. Who would accept such a thing? Sasuke and Team Seven were his family to him but Naruto knew better. This was an impossible task. Perhaps he wasn't the child of prophesy or maybe he was.
The Boy couldn't care less at the moment fighting for his life. He was fighting the Goddess of all Chakra and sadly having Obito die didn't help but somehow Sasuke was hit fatally. It was clear that his friend wouldn't make it. Kaguya's ash-killing bones were no joke as they killed and turned Obito to dust and the guy still had some of the Ten-Tails Chakra in him when that happened.
The knucklehead could remember when Sasuke gave him his power he cried along with Sakura who was so distraught she was killed by an ash-killing bone with Kakashi sensei. Naruto had nothing to lose now... His friends outside were being turned into White Zetsu by this Goddess so he had lost everything and this goddess was gonna learn that a man who has nothing to lose is more dangerous than anything that exists. She'd better believe it.
The blonde then charged at her with so many clones that she wasn't able to kill all of them. Naruto then slammed a Magnet Style: Rasengan on her. The markings began to spread as even the black pile of goo couldn't escape before Naruto clasped both of his hands on her as she became the center of gravity. Rocks began to pull at her as she was being sealed again. A loud scream of anger came from her but Naruto ignored it as he stared at his left hand. The black moon symbol was disappearing meaning Sasuke's powers were leaving. Naruto used the remaining of that power to open a portal as he landed in a new place. He would never fight again as a hero... He had failed everyone.
16 years later:
A blonde-haired teenage male was sitting beside a hospital bed. He was visiting his mother who was in a coma. His life had changed drastically this last year. His father died when he was young protecting his mother. His mother was a businesswoman who always worked too much. She has tried her best to find nannies for her son and more but being a single mother was hard. Her son deserved better and the stress of work got to her... she got wounded in an accident and was bedridden. His mother didn't have much time left to live and realized that her son needed better. So if she is unable to live through or her coma gets too severe... she had asked the plug to be pulled.
Her son deserved better as he went back home after saying one final goodbye to his mother. He would not cry... crying was a sign of weakness. It also reminded him of him crying after his mother but he had to move on. The boy began packing as he called a number on the phone he packed his stuff and waited for the train to arrive. He was contacting his uncle Ryotaro Dojima.
The boy had fond memories of the little time he had seen his uncle from his mother's side of the family. His uncle had pretty much decided that he would be living with him. His uncle was a cop and wouldn't let his nephew be in such a state. It wasn't healthy to have walls around him his uncle said. The train departed with his bags and all his stuff already sent in advance. He was tired... so tired. This ordeal took a lot out of him. Perhaps the bottling of his emotions was more damaging than he thought. Oh... well he would have to wait about five hours before he arrived at his new home so he decided to get back to it with some shut eyes. He had problems sleeping after his mother's passing and he needed it right now.
As the comfort of sleep lulled him safely, he opened his eyes in a blue room that seemed inside of a car. There were many people but the first was a long-nosed man in a black tuxedo. The man had a small height as the man held his hands on a cane. There was also a woman dressed in blue with beautiful blonde hair, yellow eyes, and red lipstick. She reeked of elegance like the man who lifted his head and looked at him before speaking.
''Welcome to the Velvet Room.'' The man said as he greeted the teen. The boy looked around before he was told to sit at the table as the man continued talking.
''My, My, it seems we have a guest with an intriguing destiny... My name is Igor. I am delighted to make your acquaintance. This room exists between reality, mind, and matter. It is a room only those with a Contract may enter. Now then... Why don't you introduce yourself, young man?'' The now-know Igor said as the boy introduced himself.
''I am Naoto Uzumaki.'' The boy said as Igor nodded as he nodded before he gently moved his arms which caused a blue butterfly to appear with some cards as Igro spoke.
''Do you believe in fortune telling? Each reading is done with the very same set of cards and yet the result is always different. Fufufufu... life follows the same principles does it not? Now... let's take a look into your future.'' Igor said as he flipped the bottom right card in front of the teen. Igor then explained the card which had a tower on it that fell by a lightning strike as it had a Roman number on it.
''Hm... The Tower in the upright position represents the immediate future. It seems a terrible catastrophe is imminent. The card indicating the future beyond that is...'' Igor said as he flipped the card in the bottom left before he resumed his speech. It was a moon with looked confused and in deep thought. It also had a Roam number on it like the Tower from before.
''The moon, in the upright position. This card represents Hesitation and Mystery... Very interesting indeed. It seems you will encounter a misfortune at your destination, and a great mystery will imposed upon you. In the coming days. You will enter into the aforementioned Contract mentioned earlier of some sort, after which you will return here. The coming year is a turning point in your destiny... If the mystery goes unsolved, your future may be forever lost. My duty is to provide assistance to our guests to ensure that does not happen.'' Igor said as with another weaved of his hand, the card mysteriously disappeared as he spoke again.
''Ah! I have neglected to introduce my assistant to you. This is Margaret. She is a resident of this place like myself.'' Igor said as he gestured to the lady to speak which she did.
''My name is Margaret. I am here to accompany you through your journey.'' The now know Margaret said as Igor resumed speaking.
''We shall attend to the details another time. Until then... Farewell Naoto Uzumaki.'' Igor said as the young woke up on the train from this vivid dream as the speakers were saying that he had arrived at his destination.
''Yasoinaba, Yasoinaba. We have arrived at the Yasoinaba station. Please debark now if that is your stop passengers'' the speakers said as this young man began his new life in the town of Inaba.
