Eighth Year Bonding Shows

All have returned for their repeat seventh year. McGonnagal has made Draco and Hermione prefects to make it fair for younger students but they have a shared common room and dorms. Six months since start of term Mcgonnagall tired of all the house fighting so she planned a school talent show for all above 5th year to display their similarities and differences; showing they're unique

Summary

Eighth year for all seventh years who either missed their last year of education or got bad grades during the time of the war, so basically everyone has returned. Mcgonnagall had decided to place Hermione Granger and Draco Malfoy as prefects instead of Head boy and girl as planned, selecting the new seventh years top pupils so that they have a fair chance, although still giving them their own common room fit with their two very large rooms with on-suite bathrooms for each, knowing how teenagers could be, not giving them the opportunity to walk in on one another during a shower or something of the like. It has been six months since the start of the year and Mcgonnogal slowly got tired of all of the fights between the students, mainly Gryffindor and Slytherin. So she had devised a plan of a school talent show, for pupils of 5th year and up to show their true selves so that they can all bond over their similarities or differences; showing that they're all unique.

The last act of the night was Hermione Granger, with a little surprise for everyone:

"Well, hello there "she began, strolling onto the stage with two mikes in hand. "so I'm going to be singing a song for you all, but there's a difference, you see my boyfriend and I had a little argument about whether we'd tell you all we were dating, I didn't think we should, but I've recently come to a different conclusion, So I'd like to call him to the stage to sing our song with me" she finished with a smile, holding the second mike out to the one and only Draco Malfoy, to which everyone gasped as he swaggered onto the stage with a grin.

"I knew you'd come around love" he whispered, hugging her close and kissing her temple softly.

Hermione began the song, smiling up at him the whole time: " Who would've known that I could like a boy like you, tall dark and Slytherin what's a girl to do? You used your nimbus to sweep me off my feet, but now without you by my side I feel incomplete. Slytherin and Gryffindor parted by the sorting hat, from rival houses boy but we don't have to be like that. 'Cause you confudassed me and now I'm feeling well, like this is magical I'm under your spell." and she slowly began to dance around him, his eyes following her every move with a smile.

Both, each with a grin plastered to their face began to sing their duet: " I never thought you'd be in my life two different worlds that we let collide and it will never be the way it was before."

" 'cause baby I'm a Slytherin and girl you are a Gryffindor".

" Yeah... Yeah... Yeah...Yeah...Yeah...Yeah...Yeah...Yeah...Yeah..."

" 'cause baby I'm a Slytherin and girl you are a Gryffindor.

Walking down a corridor with tricks right up my sleeve, bump into this girl that's on my floor she just wants to see, what would it be like to hold hands with someone dark, who would've known you don't need a wand to start a spark. I'll slyther up to you, you can be my lion cub, let's share a butterbeer down at Rosemereters pub, I'll chase right after you, you are my golden snitch, I'll be your wizard love you are my only witch".

" Two hearts quickly beating."

" Oh, oh it's taking hold".

" 'cause baby I'm a Slytherin and girl you are a Gryffindor" he finished, each of them with one hand together, fingers interlaced, each out of breath from their upbeat dancing together.

Once the music finished everyone stood and applauded the couple, each with tears in their eyes at the amount of love radiating off the pair.

They turned to the crowd and bowed, still holding hands, no one noticed Lucius Malfoy entering the hall with a glare.

"HOW DARE YOU TAINT OUR FAMILY WITH SUCH FILTH! AVADA KEDAVRA!" He screamed, aiming his wand at Hermione.

"Hermione!" Draco cried, catching the girl as she fell, their microphones discarded.

"I love you Draco" she whispered in the silent room before her eyes went blank as she died.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!" the elder Malfoy screamed again just as the Professors were about to apprehend him.

And there Draco fell, Hermione in his arms, tears in his eyes and her hand in his, everyone else crying for the loss of their best students and most even for the loss of their friend, like Harry Potter and Ronald Weasley.

Then everyone gasped, seeing the couples' ghosts lift from their bodies, the two destined to be together forever and to watch over the new students of the castle each year, still holding hands with love in their eyes.
